There will be themes of rape in this story, as well as smut and M rated themes. A lot of adult themes from here on out: such as suicide, cutting, and other aliments. I know I've said this before, but please take this warning into consideration if these kinds of things affect you. I don't want to hurt/offend anyone.
Thank you. Enjoy.
Takumi didn't mention her little spying fiasco to anyone. For the two days before the wedding, Odin's voice repeating in her head about the marriage ceremonies and how she would be married to the man she hated the most. Like a curse that would never go away, she went through her daily activities as though she was on autopilot. Just like Odin had requested, neither Thor or Loki bought up what their father had said to them. It was as though it was never even mentioned, although Takumi knew otherwise. And she knew that tomorrow was going to be the day a part of her would die, being buried along with her freedom.
She was definitely screwed, no doubt in her mind about it. Once the marriage bound her to Loki, she'd be unable to do anything unless her stupid husband allowed her to. That's what bothered her the most- the fact that she would never be on the higher status like Thor or Loki was.
Even Kaisa was much higher than her.
She always had been, though. Takumi remembered how Kaisa would always get peppered with love and affection from their Father, always receiving little gifts like candies or getting first choice on whatever dress she wanted from the tailors. She was always playing with the other palace children during the day, getting lost in the endless game of tag or hopscotch. Takumi made a face as she recalled the bitter feeling of always being left behind. Kaisa never really paid attention to her, never really noticed how her younger sister was always buried in her own world instead of the palace duties.
And she knew that there was no reason for Kaisa to. Why would she even glance at her little sister, the idiotic Princess of Vanaheim that couldn't even wield a stick for the majority of her life. Takumi was the idiot, the ignorant, the prime definition of someone who was never meant to rule. And Kaisa.. well, she was the perfect example for a Queen.
Takumi snorted in disgust as she got ready for bed, tearing down her hair and brushing it out with a small brush lying on the dresser. One of the few possessions she managed to take for herself, besides the dagger that Kaisa had left behind. As she brushed out the black strands, she found herself staring at her reflection in the mirror.
Who would love her when she looked like that? Takumi curled her lip and watched the girl in the mirror do the exact same. A rather tan girl with long black hair and dark brown eyes, slim but looking as though she belonged out in the forests instead of locked in a palace. She looked like the exact opposite of what the perfect Princess looked like. She was so out of place here- even more than she realized.
No wonder she had never really had friends. They had all thought she was weird.
If she was truthful with herself, and she seldom was, she realized that she had never really fit in anywhere. Even in Vanaheim, where everyone wore the rugged look of a warrior and the palace council was pristine as could be. There was just something about Takumi that no one ever really liked. And that went for her family too. She had felt it when Father had always coddled Kaisa.
Takumi sighed, quietly slipping into Loki's bed and scooting towards the window. She curled into herself and stared out onto the dark city of Asgard, watching as all the lights slowly turned off, one by one. The candles of the buildings slowly fading as people retired to their beds for the night, casting the realm into darkness. It wasn't the kind of darkness that Takumi feared, it was a more soothing sort of darkness. The darkness of sleep, and of rest, and of rejuvenation.
The room was silent. It was almost entirely dark in the room now, except for the orange glow of the cracking fire in the fireplace. The warmth of the fire was making her drowsy, lulling her closer to the abyss of sleep. She curled into her small corner and wondered, whimsically, where Loki was. It wasn't like he had anything to do at this time of night.
Too tired to investigate, and pushing down the horrible anxious feeling in her gut, she fell into a light fitful sleep. It was her last night of remaining sane.
Kaisa's scream shot through the hall, echoing down the marble walls and lasting for about five seconds straight before fading away. Takumi winced at the loud screech that came out of her sister, wondering if her ears were bleeding. In fact, nearly everyone in the room shared her cringe, staring down at the floor awkwardly as Kaisa stopped her loud shrieking. Even Odin looked rattled.
"A wedding!?" Kaisa cried out, clasping her hands together excitedly. "And so soon!? Pardon me, AllFather, but do you really think that tonight is the night?"
Odin looked wary of what he was about to say, probably so that he wouldn't get his eardrums blown out again. Takumi found some satisfaction in the All-Father's hesitation. "Yes, Kaisa. We have decided to push the wedding, so that Thor and Loki may start their duties as Kings. Much help is needed around Asgard, and Frigga and I believe that this was the best decision."
Kaisa looked excitedly at Thor, grabbing the God by his hands and squealing. "Darling, did you hear? We are to get married! And by tonight, by the Gods!"
"I know, Kaisa." Thor gave her a small smile. "You have every right to be excited."
"It has been prepared," Odin stated, nodding at them. "Princesses, your Father has agreed to come and view the wedding, to see his daughters off before they become Queens. He will be the one to bind you towards your husbands."
Kaisa's radiant face grew even bigger as Odin spoke that, while Takumi felt her heart drop into the pit of her stomach. Even after Odin said his farewells until later that night and left the room, the ecstatic look on Kaisa's face just stayed plastered on her face. Takumi felt sick to her stomach, her insides twisting into a anxious mess inside of her. She needed to sit down or else she would faint onto the floor.
But Kaisa grabbed her hands instead, squeezing them with both excitement and ridiculous happiness. "Can you believe it sister? We are getting married!"
Takumi heard Loki scoff disgustedly from somewhere behind her, but she ignored his outburst and stared at her sister. "This day was coming eventually, Kaisa." she said dully, trying to keep the rising fear from creeping into her voice. "It just so happens to be today."
"You should be excited!" Kaisa said joyfully, dismissing Takumi's cross words with a wave of her hand. "You will finally get to prove yourself worthy to Father. He has always wanted you to be with a kind and loyal Prince. And of Asgard, no less."
Kind and loyal Prince of Asgard. Takumi nearly laughed at the words. Loki wasn't kind. Loki wasn't loyal. He WAS a Prince of Asgard though, but just barely through his adoptive Father. So Loki had everyone completely fooled with his little act. Even Thor probably through that Loki treated her with absolute kindness, showering her with all the riches and gold that she desired. Her mind suddenly thought of the emerald necklace that was draped around her neck, and she felt even sicker.
So the necklace was just a cover up. To show that she belonged to him and to prove to everyone else what a great little fiancee he was.
"This is supposed to be a celebration and festive night." Thor said, his voice light and a giant grin crossing his face. He wrapped an arm around Kaisa's waist and bought her closer to him, pecking a quick kiss on her cheek as she flushed and giggled. "Tis filled with much happy endings, tonight! Don't you agree brother?"
"Quite." Was Loki's clipped answer.
"Thor!" Kaisa gasped, looking at him with wide brown eyes. "Is all of Asgard arriving?"
Thor smiled and nodded. "Aye. It will be a very large festival."
"I must go and get ready!" Kaisa said, her hand flying to her hair and her eyes widening further. "Oh, there is much for us to do! Takumi, will you be joining me in the preparation for the wedding, or would you rather stay with Loki?"
"She will stay with me." Loki said quickly, before Takumi could even say a word. "We have.. much to discuss with one another."
Thor gave his brother a sly smile and nodded. "Be careful, Loki."
Loki gave him a smile of his own, and a shiver of fear shot down Takumi's back. "Of course. Now go off, Thor. We shall see you both tonight."
Thor and Kaisa gave them wide smiles before they left the couple alone, giving them what they believed was personal space. As the door closed behind them, Loki's hand simply reached up and swiped into the air, and Takumi heard the chilling sound of the door locking. She cringed a little, but she kept the stubborn scowl on her face.
She'd be damned if she gave up to this bastard right now.
"Don't speak for me again." she spat. "Just because we're getting married doesn't mean you have the right to control my mind."
Loki laughed dryly, the sound ringing around the empty room. "Do not flatter yourself. What makes you think I wish to marry you? I believe we have been through this conversation, dearest Vanir."
"Fuck off." Takumi snarled, and she watched as a dark look passed over Loki's face. "Maybe if you were actually a nice guy who wasn't an asshole to everyone he meets, you'd actually have someone you'd like to marry. Ever think about that?"
"I have plenty of suitors." Loki sniffed, glaring at her with marble-hard eyes.
Takumi scoffed at his claim, crossing her arms over her chest. Yeah, right. And she had a magic hammer that could shoot lightning and fly in the air. "And where are they? They certainly aren't vying for your attention right now. In fact, everything seems pretty damn calm."
With a swift move, Loki grabbed Takumi's chin and cupped her face, his fingers roughly digging into the skin of her face. She let out a small yelp of pain as she was bought down to nearly her knees, her feet buckling underneath her as he twisted her skin. Takumi bought her hands up to pry him off, but it was like moving a tree. He wouldn't budge, and the look on his face made a part of her whimper with fear. Okay, so maybe she should've watched herself a bit better there.
"I will not have you insulting me, dearest wife." Loki spat angrily, glaring down at her. His face was slightly red and his eyes were darkened with fury. "You would be wise to simply submit to me, to get down on your knees and treat me like your husband."
Takumi felt her fists clench again, and before she knew it, she was speaking again. "I don't think so."
A smile curled on Loki's face, which was a lot more terrifying than his scowl. "I think so. Now, silence."
Silence? I'm going to kill you in your slee- Takumi's angry thoughts were cut off as Loki roughly pushed his lips against her own, his fingers slightly loosening on her face as he kissed her. Takumi felt her eyes grow wide with shock, and she was paralyzed with complete and utter surprise. She was still locked in his grip, her feet just barely holding her up.
Takumi finally found her the ability to use her arms again, and she quickly moved her head back and tried to push herself away from him, her teeth gritted in panic. "S-stop it! What the hell is wrong with y-"
Loki's hand yanked on her hair, throwing her head backwards. The pain made her eyes water, and she grit her teeth as Loki kissed her again, this time biting her bottom lip rather roughly. It hurt, and as much as she struggled, he wasn't letting go.
After a few second of scuffling, Loki shoved her onto the ground and sneered at her. Takumi was on the ground, tears rolling silently down her face as she scowled at him, her lip quivering from pain and small little pinpricks that tingled her entire face.
"You mewling girl." Loki snarled. "Know your place. Know that tonight, you shall be mine. Do you understand?"
Takumi stared, silently curled onto the floor as she stared up at her. It didn't matter what she said now.
She watched him leave, her tears silently dripping onto the marble floor.
School is kicking my ass, I'm sorry for really slow updates. :/
