He should have known that only trouble would result from associating with the royal family. The precious, silver haired noble kings and queens who ruled the Seven Kingdom's with a strong hand and a clear hand. Ha! What lies lay beneath the glittering façade. Deceit, pain and insanity all mixed and ready to explode at any moment. And all the other high nobles were groveling at their feat, begging for favors and attention just like some cheap sluts from the flea bottom.
He was utterly disgusted with the court and all the rotten persons that were trying so hard in blemishing their honor and heart. He had known even as a small child that what is on the outside is often a distortionated image of what truly lay underneath. He remembered that as a small child he dreamed to be a brave knight ruling his land as the old laws say and how the gods wanted him to do. In the time after, he learned that the laws were as faultless as the men that had once written them and the gods, if they existed, had better business to attend to than watching the petty mortals struggles with their fickle lives.
After his mother died, he felt an overwhelming sadness taking hold of him. He felt like one of the dragons he read so much about was trying to pry his heart from his chest. He shed many tears for his sweet mother. He hid his pain, but his puffy, red eyes were not frown upon, instead he was at the end of pitying glances. Form this he learned two important lessons.
The first was that he ought to hide his emotions more thoroughly in order to avoid the pity of men that were clearly under his status.
The second was a hard lesson to learn. The day in which he saw his father, the only figure aside his mother that he looked up to, had brought a mistress in his mother place, well in that moment he lost some of his faith in humanity and authoritative figures in general.
When he met the new to be king, he thought that he had finally someone to hold high in regard to. And for a short period of time a wonderful friendship blossomed between the two. Aerys discovered that aside from his coldness, there was good and warm feelings in his friends, and he, he had the opportunity to see the new king wanting to change their world for better. Plans made in the middle of the nights, at the flickering lights of the dying candles had warmed both their hearts.
And when the day arrived, the dragon with his brilliance and innovative, brave plans and the lion with his analytical, rational mind had wanted to change the world.
Tywin sighed softly as he walked the dusty passages of the Red Keep. He hated this memories, he hated them with the passion a man reserved for his broken dreams and fooled heart. He hated himself for missing his only friend, he hated his wife for dying and separating them forever and before all he hated the king for his madness.
Biting his lip until he draw blood, Tywin threw all his turbulent emotions somewhere in the back of the mind and went to the courtyard. He heard some noises and the last of his wishes was to clean the mess whatever foolish servant had managed to accomplish at this time in the morning. He was back at duty and as a hand of the king he was responsible with everything happened in that trice damned castle. He got one day a year of rest and that day was spent in mourning his dead love and past friendships. He always came a little ruffled from his short holiday.
Pushing hard at the wooden doors that blocked his view of the courtyard, he took a huge breath and prepared to give a thunderous lesson to the fool.
Standing in the sun and watching the most unbelievable sight that had ever graced his eyes, he blinked several times to clear his visions. But no matter what, the creature didn't evaporate. And than he realized that maybe Aerys' madness was not only over, but a new era might began for the dying Targaryen dynasty.
