A/U: sorry for the delay but i… I really have no excuses! Here is a preview and the next chapter should appear some time this week! R&R!

The first time I ever tried to travel by magic, it was a disaster. I pronounced the incantation wrong, my body was trembling, my voice shook and my thoughts were a mess. Thanks to a miracle, or to a revengeful god according to others, I survived. After that incident I had to stay in bed a month and to recover my powers though a variety of spells and potions.

I was twelve at the time. I was nervous and the anxiety was building in me like a volcano. I was so hopeful and so scared that I will pass or fail my first exam that I ended up nearly killing myself.

This time it was a very different way of approaching traveling by magic. I was so scared of what happened, of what I did and of what I will do next that I did what every person from Essos would have done in my place. I tried to run away from my problems. I closed my eyes and instinctively I went home. To my everlasting bad luck, I totally forgot the tiny fact that my home WAS GONE. Just my luck!

So here I was, feeling like I was going to die. Again. In the time laps of one week.

I groaned and tried to open my eyes but the light was too bright for me. A dry chuckle escaped my throat, sounding more like a grunt than anything else. A lux a hurt by light, the paradox. I tried to open my eyes again, this time succeeding. A blurry, golden form was moving in my line of vision and for a moment I thought that I'm really back home and I felt from Aurum's back. It really felt like that. My back hurt and my head was pounding like mad.

"Aurum", I treid to whisper wishing that my little fantasy will last one more minute. I wanted everything to go back to normal. I cursed my ambitions and thirst for power and I prepared for another disappointment. There was no Aurum, my home was gone and all I have ever known had collapsed with no hope of redemption.

"Get it"

"Stop it, go after…"

"Do not MOVE!"

I felt my heart stopping for a second. Voices. I heard voices. Panicking I opened my eyes and raised myself in a more comfortable position.

"What is…?" My eyes met another pair of violet eyes. Silver hair framed his handsome face and his entire expression screamed surprise. I myself, did not feel better. A valyrian. A true valyrian!

I did it! I finally got home!

Jamie

He tried to get past to crazed crowd. The yells, the chaos and the general atmosphere of upcoming doom was creating a commotion in the courtyard and the last thing he needed was his father blaming him for another thing that was out of his reach.

"Stop this nonsense! What is the problem?" raised the young lion his voice in an attempt to gather the attention of the crowd. Some heads turned to his direction and he could clearly read a mixture of surprise, terror and wonder. Now more curious than angered, he managed to make himself a way through the solid wall of squirming bodies.

What had presented upon his eyes was something that only a nightmare or a very beautiful dream could impress upon a mere mortal soul. A dragon. A wonderful, golden dragon that was looking at the humans with fiery molten eyes.

His breath hitched and he could hear his sister curse. Trying to get a hold on himself, he blinked several times. Maybe it was just a mirage, maybe his feverish mind decided to play with him or maybe, and this was the most probable conclusion, he was going mad. Just like the king. But no, he was a Lannister and they don't go crazy.

"Ha!" the king's voice shouted from somewhere near. Jaime opened his eyes to see the Mad King with a grin and feverishly eyes staring with triumph at someone from the crowd. Making an educated guess before he could observe the man, he turned his head to see Tywin Lannister staying stock still.

Valyrian witch

Snapping out of my illusion I give myself a mental slap. What was I doing starring dreamingly into some peasants eyes. Maybe he is not a peasant, but… my mind tried to whisper to me. He was a nothing in the grater scheme of things.

I raised myself from the ground and turned my eyes to see myself clearly into a pair of molten gold eyes. Aurum. He was real.

My dragon hissed annoyed at me and slapped me with his tail. I was so deliriously happy that I decided to let this little rebellion pass. With a shout of joy, I threw myself at him.

Clearly irritated by my behavior, he roared once I could see the people around us jumping with fear. I tried to not smirk, but knowing that by damned soul was already condemned, I could not stop myself from grinning nastily.

"Could someone please where I am?" I said with a clear voice. "And what year is is? I asked after a little while.

The only answer was lady near the front fainting havily.
