Wow, I've been MIA for months. Like seriously. To start I better Answer a few questions/Complaints.
First, This story is actually supposed to be Kisame and Sakura (It can be romance or friendship, it's up to you on how you interpret it.) with other members of Akatsuki shoved in, but when I was putting in the people's I accidentally deleted Kisame's name and forgot to put it back...so yeah. But don't worry all you Akasaku fans, I plan on giving every member at least two or three more chapters before this thing ends. As in, this story only has about 10 chapters left.
Second, I had this story theme in my mind forever, but it kinda went away so my chapters will probably be way off and not like the rest of them...sorry :)
Thirdly, the next few are going to be shorter than usual, just until I get the hang of things.
KONAN
Yeah, I was sad about her death, but other than moping about for a few days, she no longer plagued my mind. Now she was just some random little girl who I talked to for about a span of 3 minutes. That doesn't mean I don't occasionally look at the flashlight she gave me, but i don't use it anymore. The batteries died the day they found her, and I never got around to getting any new ones.
I got tired of looking at the useless thing threw it under my bed a few months ago. Now it just sits there collecting dust. I see it now and then when I'm searching the floor for a towel to wipe of the blood off my arms and hands.
I still have nightmares, they get worse and worse every time I close my eyes. The dark is always trying to grab me, sometimes a dim light comes through, but when I try to go towards it the darkness covers it up again. Right before it finally gets me I wake up screaming, crying, and alone.
Tonight there was an electrical storm, it was so bad that the power went out. All I have is candles...and that broken piece of junk. The candle is so short it's going to burn out any second. I better find batteries, but what kind does it take?
When I opened the side, the first thing I saw was a piece of paper. Written on it was the words:
A storm can darken the day,
but a smile can brighten it right back up.
The choice is yours!
I hold back a scream as the candle finally burns out. Thunder booms and I really scream this time. Lightning and thunder in a quick succession, loud and bright, I'm terrified. No light, no sight, and no hope.
So I don the only thing I can. Ignoring the salty tears, I smile as big as I can and head to the living room to steal some batteries out of the remote.
P.S I'm writing another story to help me write this one (Don't ask me how, just go with it), so if you have time go check it out. And if you don't...FIND SOME.
