Chapter 10

Painting the Sky

When Songbird and Predaking finally returned to The Nemesis they discovered that Orb Weaver, Freefall, Laserbeak and Moonrise were still awake…

And the group was completely unaware that Songbird and Predaking had returned. Yet from the moment the two Predacon's had first entered the room they were immediately aware that Orb Weaver was working on something at the small desk in the corner of Songs berthroom. The techno-organic teenager was wearing her goggles and had all sorts of various tools surrounding her (Which she had obviously obtained from one of the Nemesis's storage rooms…) and she was apparently in deep concentration while she continued working with a small handheld welding torch on whatever it was that she was building. Laserbeak was perched off to the side of the desk with Moonrise lounging on top of her. Even though they were still awake, it was clear by their movements that neither of them would be for much longer since both seemed to be nodding off slightly. Freefall on the other hand was apparently still wide awake and completely mesmerized by what Orb Weaver was up to…

"And… there! Done!" Weaver declared as she pulled her goggles up and put them on the top of her head. "It was a bit trickier to make since it's so small but it should still work fine none the less." She said as she carefully picked up the item and handed it to Freefall. In the process revealing that she had been making Freefall a new spear. The human girl grinned as she held her new weapon and gave it a twirl to test its balance and at the same time it also showed that Freefall now had some sort of thick metal bracelet on her right arm, but what purpose is served remained unknown, at least for the moment.

"It's perfect! Thank you Weaver you're a genius!" Freefall exclaimed as her eyes lit up while she continued to inspect her new weapon. Orb Weaver just smiled brightly upon receiving this praise.

"Yes I am… I'm very proud of my noticeable genius." She said with the slightest hint of pride. While she may not have much of an ego let alone self-confidence in general, receiving compliments gave her the wonderful feeling of appreciation… something she had always wanted but was never able to receive. Songbird chuckled a little at this comment and in thus finally alerted the group to her and Predaking's presence in the room… and immediately all jaws suddenly dropped open as they looked at Songs newly acquired robot transformation.

"Mom?!" Freefall asked, completely dumbfounded at the unexpected sight before her. "Is that… you?" Songbird just quietly nodded as she approached her children. Inwardly she was somewhat nervous about how her daughters were going to take to her new form, but all those insecurities vanished as Moonrise was the first one to completely grasp and accept what she was looking at and she suddenly jumped up, having seemed to overcome her tiredness.

"You're beautiful mama!" The sweet child declared and after a moment or so of regaining her own senses, Freefall quickly nodded in agreement with her younger sibling but she simply couldn't resist showing off her new weapon to her mother.

"Hey mom check out my new spear! Weaver made it for me, watch what it can do!" And with that Freefall turned and with all of her strength she hurled the spear and it embedded itself high on the opposite wall… But she then outstretched her right arm and the bizarre bracelet suddenly emitted a faint beeping sound and within moments the spear ripped itself free of the wall and quickly returned to her hand.

"That's quite impressive." Song commented turning her attention to Weaver who was smiling broadly as she watched the weapon she had just built work the exact way it was supposed to… and not blow up or severely injure any innocent bystanders in the process. "You built that?"

"I tinker with things as a hobby… geeze, now that I think about it I have a lot of hobbies. Reading, experimenting, tinkering, genetic manipulation… it's a very long list." Orb Weaver muttered awkwardly before she started laughing nervously when she realized that she was talking too much. "Shut up Weaver you're talking too much again."

"No you're not sweetspark." Song said with a soft smile as she placed the bag that contained Yue's gift of sweets on the desk in front of the group and quickly cut it open revealing three very large Mochi cakes that were lightly covered in what appeared to be blue dust from energon crystals, and four considerably smaller ones that were obviously human sized for Moonrise and Freefall. Songbird nonchalantly picked up one of the larger cakes and bit into it right before picking up one of the other remaining two in handing it to Predaking. Moony and Freefall eagerly grabbed for their own portions, whilst Weaver picked hers up and began to cautiously inspect it as though trying to figure out what it was before eating it. "Before I forget…" Song continued. "According to Yue, tomorrow night the Northern Lights are going to shine across the sky. How would about we fly under them like we used to do?" Immediately shouts of yes rang out from the girls but after a moment Orb Weaver began rubbing her hands together before looking at Songbird nervously.

"May I come too?"

"Of course you can Weaver. Have you ever seen the Northern Lights before?"

"I don't even know what these Northern Lights are. But I take it that they must be something special?" Her answer was to be expected and quite frankly Songbird could've kicked herself for thinking otherwise; after all Orb Weaver had only been on this planet for a few months. Of course she hadn't seen the Northern Lights before! She hadn't even left the Nemesis since she first arrived. A sudden sound of chirping and clicking drew Songs attention away from Weaver just as she finished eating her Mochi cake and refocused it on the small drone and Moonrise.

"Laserbeak wants to know if she can come as well… But... Laser, I thought you said you weren't feeling well?" Moonrise said before Laserbeak apparently answered her and the girl looked towards her mother once again and noted the look she was getting. "Laserbeak doesn't feel well, she says she has a very bad processor ache... I think that means she has a headache. She's had it for the past few days and today she says it was really bad… but she still wants to come. Can she mama?" Songbird listened to her child's words before tilting her head to the side in a confused sort of manner as she thought about it for a few seconds.

"She can come along as well… but only if she's feeling better." This seemed like the logical answer. As there would be no way in the Pit that she would let one of her own children go on an excursion if they were sick, so there was no way she would do any different for someone else's… erm… Whatever exactly Laserbeak was to Soundwave. Although she was unable to tell exactly what the drone was really saying, the chirps had taken on almost a grumbling sort of tone that more than likely translated to 'fine…'

"It seems that my presence is not needed here. I'll be retiring to my chambers if anyone needs me." Predaking said, speaking up for the first time since he had actually entered Songbird's berthroom. He had just finished eating the Mochi cake that Songbird had handed him a few minutes prior and he had just made the mental note that energon Mochi cakes were probably the most delicious thing he'd ever eaten… That aside Songbird turned to look at him and give him a quick nod.

"Just don't forget you're coming with us to fly under the lights tomorrow night." She said just as she managed to stifle down her own yawn. It was no surprise that she was tired, with everything that had taken place so far today alone. In fact Predaking was rather tired himself, as he hadn't slept well in the past few days when he thought Songbird was still mad at him because of the Shockwave thing that had taken place. But now he felt that he could rest easy and truth be told with everything he was hearing about these Northern lights he was rather eager to see them for himself.

"My dear Songbird, I wouldn't miss it for the world…"

It was around noon the next day that Megatron realized Starscream had gone missing…

And he wasn't happy about it. In fact when he realized that his Second in Command had apparently run off again he nearly flew into a full blown rage! He immediately ordered all members of the crew, Predacon's and humans included, to drop what they were doing and look for the wayward Seeker. This revelation however sent a chill up Songbird spinal struts and she had no choice but to approach Megatron (Who nearly had a full-blown spark attack when he saw that the Predacon femme had obtained the ability to transform…) and tell him about the vision she had concerning Starscream. The warlord had glared at her and demanded to know whether she or Predaking had anything to do with his disappearance; Songbird had just glared right back and pointed out that if she had anything to do with his disappearance she would not be telling him about what she had seen in her cards. Nor did Predaking have anything to do with it either, as he had been with her at the time the Seeker was thought to have vanished. Megatron had no choice but to begrudgingly accept the gryphonformer's words. But then it suddenly dawned on him; with all the paranoia Starscream had been exhibiting lately and his taking many long unscheduled flights from The Nemesis there was only one possible explanation for what had happened… The Autobot's must have captured his Second in Command! This thought filled his spark with blazing anger and he later made an announcement regarding his suspicions to the entire crew and also made sure to inform everyone that Shockwave was now going to be filing in the absent Seekers role of his Second in Command. But just in case he was wrong about Starscream's fate, the Vehicons and Eradicons were ordered to finish with their thorough search of the warship before resuming their usual duties.

But after hearing their leaders announcement Steve had not been convinced that the Autobots had anything to do with Starscream's disappearance and he secretly approached Songbird and begged her to look into her tarot cards about where the Air Commander really was. Song did as she was asked but was saddened by what she saw, as the only thing she could tell Steve was the very same thing she had foreseen earlier… Starscream was taken by someone who meant to harm and he was now trapped in darkness and in silence. Although she promised to try and see more about what had befallen the small jet later on but until then there was nothing else she could do. Steve had acknowledged this and left Songs room with a heavy spark but vowed that he would find Starscream no matter what… The rest of the day seemed to pass by at a snail's pace but eventually night fell and Songbird quietly waited outside on the flight deck with Orb Weaver, Freefall and Predaking, all were waiting for Moonrise who was running a bit late. No doubt to see whether or not Laserbeak would be coming with them on this little outing.

"We're here! Sorry!" Moony chirped as both she and Laserbeak quickly zipped out onto the flight deck. As usual Moonrise was sitting in Laserbeak's back and the two promptly landed right in front of the awaiting Predacon's, the spiderlike femme, and the impatient Freefall.

"I take it that Laserbeak has permission to come with us?" Songbird asked and Moonrise quickly nodded.

"That was what took so long." She explained just as Laserbeak started chirping cutely, responding to the question in her own way. Songbird eyed little drone carefully, looking for any trace of discomfort or pain that she might be feeling, as the gryphon remembered how Moony had mentioned that her little friend had been having bad processor aches… But after a moment she shrugged it off figuring that Soundwave wouldn't allow her to come along if there was anything really wrong so she dismissed her nagging worry.

"So are we going to see these lights now?" Orb Weaver asked eagerly, barely able to contain her curiosity as to what exactly these Northern Lights were. She had always loved learning and seeing new things so this was a real treat for her. Songbird chuckled slightly at the girl's words and she walked over to the very edge of the flight deck and she kneeled down looking over the edge. She was currently in her robot form, since it was new to her and she wanted to get used to it… and the only way to do that was to spend time in it.

"Yes we are. Freefall, Moonrise, how about you two-" Song never even got to finish her sentence because at that precise second Freefall raced forward and quite literally jumped off the Nemesis's flight deck, closely followed by Moony jumping off of Laserbeak's back and following her sister off the deck. While one would normally assume that this would cause any sane mother to freak out Songbird merely smiled and laughed in a lighthearted manner as she watched her daughters until they were out of her sight. "Well, they certainly were in a hurry weren't they?" And with that she changed into her beast form and leapt after her daughters…

Leaving Orb Weaver, Predaking and Laserbeak to just stand there, frozen solid in complete disbelief at what they had just witnessed…

"Did she just-?" Weaver began trying to comprehend what the Pit she had just seen. Laserbeak immediately began squeaking and chirping in a terrified sort of manner before racing after Moonrise.

"Orb Weaver after getting to know Songbird, allow me to inform you that I believe she knows what she's doing… well… I think she does." The added that last part before he shifted into his dragon form and Weaver quickly climbed onto his back… Since there was absolutely no way she was going to jump off the side of the ship, so she opted to cling to Predaking's neck like a drowning cat...

It didn't take the massive dragon long to catch up to Songbird; the gryphon darting through the sky whilst her daughters continued to fall through the air. Neither of the human girls seemed to be frightened about falling from such a perilous height… as it was Predaking could even hear Freefalls laughter over the rushing winds. In fact as the dragon watched them he noticed how she moved through the sky like a professional skydiver. Twisting and twirling in such a manner that it honestly looked as though the girl was dancing in the air.

'This child should have been born with wings!' He thought to himself just as he saw Moonrise making similar movements, of course she wasn't nearly as graceful as her elder sibling. But Laserbeak had just managed to catch up to her friend and quickly caught her, the human landing on the small drone's back. Moony giggled while Laserbeak angrily squeaked, undoubtedly scolding her… the sight even made Predaking laugh slightly. Finally Songbird performed a complex twist in the air and doubled back only to catch Freefall in her claws. After a minute or so Predaking moved next to Songbird and watched as Freefall proceeded to climb up onto her mother's back…

'Sometimes I wonder if you are crazy! That is the only word that I can think of that can describe your actions!' Predaking exclaimed in the Predacon's beast language just as Laserbeak also managed to catch up and fly alongside the two of them. But for a moment the little drone seemed to falter in her flight but quickly corrected herself and resumed flying just as she had been before, granted that Moonrise looked a bit more worried than she originally was… Song failed to notice this event occur as her attention was currently on her fellow Predacon.

"Predaking we're not crazy, we have done this a million times before!" Songbird explained calmly but was unable to hide the broad smile on her features. She was so happy, flying with her children as well as with Predaking and Weaver. Something about this night filled her spark with the joy the likes of which she hadn't felt in such a long time, although why she felt this way she couldn't quite understand. "Besides you should stop focusing on us, you're missing the show!" At first Predaking did not understand what she was talking about until she motioned with her head to something on the horizon…

And that was when he got his first look at the Northern lights…

"I can't believe you got us lost…"

Paradox sighed in annoyance as she glared angrily at her brother as they walked through the Alaskan forests. A few hours ago Ratchet had finally managed to find a location with the ideal weather conditions to produce the Aurora Borealis that his little granddaughter had so desperately wanted to see. Just as the two were about to sneak through a groundbridge, Bulkhead and Tripwire had walked in and caught them in the act… but rather than having to cancel their plans Bulkhead figured that he and Tripwire would just join them on this little adventure. Aside from Tripwire also getting to see the Northern lights, the green Wrecker also figured that Ratchet best have some backup in case they ran into trouble... Normally Bulkhead would have asked if Wheeljack or Miko if they would like to tag along as well, but on this night Miko had no choice but to stay inside since she absolutely had to finish a long overdue college paper and Wheeljack was out on a mission with Optimus and Bumblebee.

Anyway, after arriving the four bots had started trekking through the forest in search of a suitable place to observe the Aurora… and in a surprisingly short amount of time Bulkhead and Ratchet began to have two very different ideas on which way to go. This led to some arguing and a great deal of walking around in circles. Tripwire and Paradox had been quietly following behind the adults, listening to them bicker like a couple of sparklings themselves… That was when Tripwire had nudged his sister and motioned for her to follow him as he quietly began to deviate from the path they had been walking. Paradox was hesitant to follow her brother and leave her grandpa behind… But the thought of what kind of trouble he could get into, led her to give in and follow him… if only to protect the idiot from himself.

Which had now led to their newfound problem. Both youngling's were now hopelessly turned around in the forest and lost. Paradox was NOT happy; this is exactly the kind of thing that happened whenever she listened to her brother… Oh grandpa Ratchet was gonna be so mad! And at this rate they were never going to see the Aurora!

"We're not exactly lost Paradox… We just don't know we are right now." Tripwire defended as he continued to lead his sister in some random direction, hoping to find some kind of clearing in order to better determine just where they were.

"In my book that's the definition of lost!" Paradox snapped as her solid gold optics glared into her brothers yellow ringed ones. But she stopped as she thought she heard something and she started looking around for the source of this sound.

"Huh? What is it Sis?"

"Shhh!" She hissed as the two suddenly heard the sound again, only this time they both caught a glimpse of something large and white bolting through some nearby trees and shrubbery. "It went this way! I think it was a bunny!"

"I think it was too big to be a bunny Paradox." Tripwire grumbled as he followed his sister who in turn was following the supposed rabbit. "Hey! Wait for me!" He yelled as Paradox started to leave him behind, it didn't take him long to catch up to her of course she had stopped dead in her tracks and Tripwire ended up running into her and knocking her over, but at the same time he got to see what it is that it stopped her.

The two of them were now right on the side of a cliff that had a major drop-off… A drop that was well over two hundred feet straight down with jagged rocks at the bottom. Thankfully Paradox hadn't been close enough to the edge to fall when her brother ran into her… but on another note, this area offered an ideal view of the sky and of the Northern Lights that currently painted it.

"Wow…" Both sparklings whispered as they both got an amazing view of something that they had wanted to see, Paradox more so than Tripwire. Not to say that Tripwire wasn't every bit as amazed as his sibling was. But a thought brought him back to reality a little bit quicker than Paradox.

"We do need to find Bulkhead and Ratchet." He muttered.

"I know… but… I don't think they'd mind if we just sat here for a few minutes before going to find them." Paradox reasoned even though she knew it was terrible of her, but this was something she had wanted to see for so long. Grandpa Ratchet couldn't be too mad at her… Especially in the long run since it was Tripwire's fault for them getting lost in the first place.

With an agreeing nod between the two, both sparklings returned her attention to the sky and continued to watch the Lights…

Predaking followed after Songbird as she guided him underneath the Aurora…

His optics remained transfixed on the heavens, watching the shades of green and blue move across the canvas of the night sky. It really was beautiful and he had never seen anything quite like it before. He knew that this area was near Songbird's original home and he was now starting to understand why she was so attached to this land and had been reluctant to leave it… Seeing a sight like this almost made him want to stay in this area and claim it as his own. From her position on his back Orb Weaver was also entranced by the lights in the sky, she turned her attention to Songbird and her eyes were shining brightly with joy.

"I have seen something like this before! Back on a planet I sometimes used as my home base!" She stated her gaze rapidly shifting from the female Predacon back to the sky. "It's every bit as beautiful here as it is there!"

"Weaver you haven't seen anything yet!" Songbird laughed as she suddenly flew closer to Predaking and much to his surprise Freefall jumped from her mother's back onto his and Song quickly sped past him, flying even higher into the sky. When she was a fair distance away from him her pace slowed until such time as she was not moving at all and for several moments she seemed to be suspended in midair. Predaking watched curiously as her chest plates shifted around until her blue and white spark was exposed and some sort of strange radiant blue glow began to slowly flow from the very core of her being… She then resumed her flight across the sky, only now she left a trail of blue shining light in her wake. This light mixing with that of the Aurora Borealis…

In short, the gryphonformer began to paint the night sky with the light of her soul…

Predaking could only stare at the display in awe. But after a few moments of watching her mother Freefall surprisingly enough turned her attention onto the dragon whose back she was currently riding on. "You know you can do that too…" He looked back at her, confused at her words and unable to speak in a language that she would understand in order to ask what she meant. Fortunately Freefall picked up on his not understanding what she meant and continued to explain herself. "Show your spark, let it shine… The rest will come on its own. That's how mom always explains it. Go on… fly with her." It was a huge leap on Freefall's part, suggesting that he go and paint the sky with the colors of his spark. For this was something special and meant a great deal to her mother, but then again Freefall could see how her mother was growing to care more and more about this Predaking… So much so that she could tell that she would want him to paint with her, to fly with her… so the girl began to look at it as though it was some sort of test. Would he actually try to do it? Or would he decline… Predaking did pause as he thought about this, as he had some doubts that it would be quite as simple as the girl made it out to be. But still… as he watched Song effortlessly moving through the sky, some part of him wanted to be right there with her. Some deeper, primal part of him suddenly seemed to come alive with a surprising ferocity and his chest plates retracted exposing his own gold and red spark… and before he could fully comprehend what he was doing he had taken off after Songbird.

Catching up to her was surprisingly easy, granted she wasn't going nearly as fast as he knew she could. As he got closer to his female companion he realized that whatever had just overtaken him must be some sort of ancient programming back from the time of his mighty ancestors. And without him even realizing it Predaking's spark had begun to emit it's own glow… his aura showing itself to be the color of warm firelight, a mix of orange and gold. Songbird cast him an amused glance and Predaking barely had time to notice the mischievous glint in her optic before she bolted away from him as fast as she could, but he caught that look and he knew what it meant… She had just challenged him!

'Challenge accepted!' He thought to himself as he took off after her at a breakneck speed. All the while he remained aware of the two smaller creatures on his back, and even though he was now chasing after Song he was careful not to go so fast that they would be unable to hang on… Still he flew after her and the two began weaving around each other, racing through the sky and being drawn deeper into the shining light of the Aurora Borealis. Finally Predaking caught up to Songbird just as she rolled in midair and stopped herself so that she was looking up at him and he was looking down at her. Things went quiet for a moment as the two just enjoyed the end of their little game, but what they were enjoying far more was the warm comforting feeling they could each feel radiating from the others spark. Without thinking the two Predacon's clasped their claws together, closing the distance between them…

It was as though Predaking was seeing Songbird for the first time, her frame was bathed in the light the Aurora that had since changed to mimic the colors of the two sparks who had been painting it. Even in her gryphon form she was beautiful, maybe the fact that he was in his own beast form made him appreciate her beauty all the more at this moment. But it was not just her beauty that he found himself in awe of… it was her strong character and the fire that burned brightly in her spark, the mystery of her seemingly otherworldly abilities like her healing and fortunetelling and the kind and gentle part of her soul that loved and cherished her adopted daughters and guarded protected her friends…

It at that moment that the realization dawned on Predaking…

He was beginning to fall in love with Songbird…

But his train of thought was cut short when a loud scream of fear reached both his and Songbirds audios. Moonrise was screaming at the top of her lungs as Laserbeak suddenly began to lose altitude at a rapid pace, something was wrong! The little drone could even be heard screeching, not chirping or squeaking like she usually did but screeching! Presumably in terrible pain if not pure agony! What few movements she made were erratic and uncontrolled and as she plummeted from the sky and it became clear that she was going to crash into the side of a nearby cliff! And on that said cliffside Paradox and Tripwire had been distracted by the sounds of Bulkhead and Ratchet approaching them from behind that by the time they took notice of the falling drone and the screaming human girl on her back it was too late and Laserbeak slammed hard into the two of them. The momentum of the crash threw Moony off of Laserbeak's back and the force of the blow sent her and Paradox flying off the edge of the cliff!

Songbird didn't even think before she pulled her claws free from Predaking's and dove straight down, flying faster than she had ever flown before! Her spark pounding in fear that she wouldn't get there in time! But just before Paradox and Moonrise hit the ground she extended her claws and caught them both, barely managing to pull up from her nose dive before she herself would crash into the earth!

"Paradox!" Ratchet screamed and Bulkhead barely had time to grab the old medic as he nearly went over the cliff after the small femme! But just then Songbird rose up from the side of the cliff directly in front of the two Autobot's inadvertently knocking them both over, but thankfully they did manage to scoot back enough not to end up crushed under her claws as she landed. But they were both able to see that Moonrise and Paradox were safe in her grasp…

"Grandpa…" The little femme whimpered as she looked up at the mighty creature that held her tightly in one of its front claws. She'd heard stories of course from the other Autobot's about fighting with the Predacons and how powerful and dangerous they were but she never once thought that she'd see one up close! She was absolutely terrified! Songbird looked down and inspected the small sparkling in her claws, her optics were soft and gentle and she was careful not to make any sudden movements to scare the child more.

"Put her down right now!" Ratchet snapped pushing Bulkhead aside as he stormed up to Songbird. But before he even got close Predaking swooped down and pinned him under his razor-sharp talons and snarled in his face. Bulkhead immediately went to attack the massive dragon but was stopped as Songbird screamed 'Enough!' and flared out her massive wings between the two individuals, separating the Wrecker and Predaking.

Songbird looked down at Ratchet who still remained pinned under Predaking's claws. "You must think me a real monster to assume I would ever hurt a sparkling!" Her voice was cold and irritated. Partly because of what he had been insinuating and partly due to such a wonderful night had come to such an abrupt and unpleasant end. Very gently she lowered Paradox to the ground and gave her a small nudge indicating for her to go. The youngling femme didn't need any further prompting and she immediately ran over to her grandpa and tried to push Predaking's gigantic claw off of him. The dragonformer then also became aware of a small creature pulling at his tail and he looked around only to see Tripwire trying to pull him off of Ratchet by his tail. "Release your grip on him Predaking… there will be no fighting tonight. Not front of sparklings." The way Songbird said this was not only a statement to Predaking, but as a warning to the present Autobot's as well. Reluctantly P.K. released his grip on the medic, who immediately stood up and grabbed up Paradox and backed off. Just as Bulkhead quickly picked up Tripwire and got the young mech to let go of the angry dragon's tail. There was a brief pause before Ratchet and Bulkhead took off running back into the forest each carrying one of the sparklings… who knew they were so grounded when they got back home…

"Mama something's really wrong with Laserbeak!" Moonrise cried alerting Songbird to the fact that her daughter had actually slipped out of her grip and run over to her fallen friend. Just as Freefall and Orb Weaver had hopped off of Predaking's back and had gone over to see what was wrong with the drone themselves. "She just keeps saying that her head hurts so bad!"

"I don't see anything physically wrong." Weaver commented as she picked up Laserbeak and carefully looked her over. Weaver could actually feel her trembling from the pain of whatever was ailing her body. "It means whatever is wrong is on the inside… maybe a virus? I don't know, I can't be sure."

'Let's get her back to Soundwave. He will probably know what's wrong.' Predaking suggested as he watched Orb Weaver pickup Laserbeak and climb up onto Songbirds back along with both of her daughters. But the gryphon seemed somewhat distracted about something else. Her optics were currently transfixed in the direction of the Autobots had just run off in… what was bothering her concerned the two sparklings that had been with the adults.

She knew the sparklings scent…

It was very similar to a certain someone on board the Nemesis…

The only thing that could cause it was a family connection…

But there was no time to ponder this now, Songbird realized that she shook her head and cast a worried glance at Predaking. And without saying so much as a word she spread her wings and took to the sky. Not looking at all forward to what she had to tell Soundwave… And unbeknownst to her Predaking was now finding himself worried about these new feelings he was beginning to have for her.

They silently flew back to the Nemesis under the light of a gold and blue Aurora Borealis...

Alright that's it for now! And I'm sorry I forgot to mention this in the last chapter, the song that Songbird sang in the last chapter was called 'Loreley' by Blackmore's Night. Hehe, sorry about that my bad… Anyway thank you all so much for your reviews! I really appreciate it! And as always please remember to Read and Review this chapter! ^_^
