YEAR 1: HOGWARTS EXPRESS, THE SORTING, CONFRONTATIONS, AND KIDNAPPING
It is impossible to struggle for civil rights, equal rights for blacks, without including whites. Because equal rights, fair play, justice, are all like the air: we all have it, or none of us has it. That is the truth of it.
Maya Angelou
You know what Americans are really sensitive to? Issues of fairness. I think this is a modern phenomenon, born of the civil rights movement. Once you convince Americans that something is basically unfair, you've got a winning cause.

The Hogwarts express Harry had seen it before while picking up Boris but never like this. A whole new chapter awaited him the next phase of his life. Lilith touched his shoulder,
"I'm sure were going to have lots of fun"
Harry smiled wispily, "definitely"
Excluding Boris who wanted to sit with his Hufflepuff friends from his year and Draco who had to sit with quote on quote better company; They had all decided to sit together they had also agreed that no matter what house they got into they would set time aside to study together. The seat they sat in was about midway through the train. Luckily Harry managed to grab Neville's toad Trevor before he escaped out of his pocket. Daphne looking thoughtfully at Neville,
"You're going to have to find a good place to put Trevor when you get to Hogwarts or you're going to lose him"
Neville nodded, "Boris said Professor Sprout lets people keep their toads in the greenhouse and I got a cage to put in it till then I just wanted to introduce him to everyone first"
Interrupting their conversation was a knock on the compartment door Harry responded first, "You can come in"
Coming in hesitantly was a bushy haired girl looking extremely nervous her brown eyes looking at the almost full compartment with distress,
"So this one's full too"
Luna smiled kindly, "I have a little bit of extra room if you want to squeeze in next to me"
Hermione replied, "Are you sure?"
Daphne then smiled cheekily, "Sure we don't bite as far as I know"
Harry grinned wickedly grabbing her luggage and put it above the compartment as she squeezed herself next to Luna, "So Miss may I have the honor of knowing your name?"
"It's Hermione, Hermione Granger"
Getting the feeling he should introduce everyone he did so, "Well I'll introduce everyone first we have the radiant Lilith Moon sitting across from you, Neville's right next to her, on your side sitting next to you is the dazzling Luna Lovegood, next to her the alluring Daphne, and as for myself I'm Harry Potter."
Doing a little bow he took his seat next to Neville he heard Luna muttering to herself, "I'll need those pitch forks sooner than later"
Hermione after taking a second to compose herself looked at him interestedly, "Are you really I've read all about you in notable figures in the 20th century"
Luna hugged Hermione mid rant, "You're going to be in Ravenclaw with Lilith and I"
Hermione looking startled hesitantly returned the hug, "Are you sure?"
Luna nodded sagely, "Yep"
Hermione nodded shyly, "I'd like that; so does anyone know how we get sorted?"
Lilith smiled coyly, "Traditional it's a secret however I did manage to get Boris to tell me"
Harry's eyes widened with excitement, "Really"
Lilith nodded, "Yep but I'm not going to tell you"
Harry and Luna together then did their best puppy dog expressions, "Please"
Smiling smugly Daphne sighed, "You two are truly hopeless I know as well but I'm not telling either I would tell Neville but he can't keep a secret when Luna and Harry's puppy eyes are involved"
Neville responded sounding hurt, "I can too"
Hermione giggled softly, "I think I'm going to like it here"
The rest of the trip past swiftly with them getting to know Hermione finding about her parents, reassuring her that no one did magic with a wand until there eleventh birthday because before that there core was to unstable, lending her several wizarding culture books that included an outline of how the government worked, and some history books so she would have an easier transition into the wizarding world. All to soon it seemed that there trip was over and they all got of the train in a somewhat orderly fashion and then Hagrid led them onto the boats that would take them across the lake until they got there first view of the castle everyone could feel the waves of ambient magic wash over them it was comforting and welcoming the castle itself was a shimmering grey that while old seemed timeless. They got of the boats and were led into the entrance hall the ghost startled Harry somewhat but many others were far more shocked. The doors then opened revealing an stern face of Professor McGonagall Boris had described her as a stern but fair and very competent professor,
"Attention please," everyone immediately quieted down, "Know follow me into the great hall and I will lead you to the edge of the stairs there you wait until your name is called upon. When your sorted your house will become your family and what you do will reflect upon your family do well you will earn points on the other hand doing dishonorably will lose you points"
Harry felt as he entered the great hall that he at least needed three more eyes to take everything in the ceiling looked like a clear dark sky with candles hanging above all the first years were chattering with nervous excitement that is until McGonagall raised her wand into the air emitting a loud beep silencing everyone once again,
"Know that everyone silent let's began when I call your name I shall place the hat upon your head and it will sort you into the house that you are most suited for however first the sorting hat will sing its yearly song"
Oh you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,
So try me on and I will tell you
Where you ought to be.
You might belong in Gryffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry
Set Gryffindors apart;
You might belong in Hufflepuff,
Where they are just and loyal,
Those patient Hufflepuffs are true
And unafraid of toil;
Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;
Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll make your real friends,
Those cunning folks use any means
To achieve their ends.
So put me on! Don't be afraid!
And don't get in a flap!
You're in safe hands (though I have none)
For I'm a Thinking Cap!
A few seconds afterwards Professor McGonagall called out the first name, "Hanna Abbott"
Harry did his best to pay attention and recognized several wizarding names from his studies but he didn't pay much attention unless he knew the person who was being sorted. Luna, Hermione, and Lilith went into Ravenclaw. Daphne and Draco were sorted into Slytherine and Neville surprised everyone getting sorted in Hufflepuff and then it was Harry's turn.
"Harry Potter," Professor McGonagall shouted immediately every student in the halls eyes were upon him and they also started whispering sighing Harry thought fame was so over rated, "Hmm very interesting plenty of courage, a decent amount of loyalty, and not a bad mind either the question is what is the best place to put you"
In his mind Harry replied, "I promised Neville we'd be sorted together so Hufflepuff please"
"Are you sure you could be something greater than you could possibly imagine if you succeed in the Slytherine route"
Harry smiled cheekily thinking back, "I'm resolute with my choice Mr. Hat"
Harry thought he heard the hat sigh, "I suppose if you're truly resolute Mr. Potter Hufflepuff"
Harry smiled heading toward Neville with a grin when he sat down Neville said, "We all took bets you know and Luna's the only one who bet on Hufflepuff"'
Harry smiled in response, "So how much did you lose?"
Rolling his eyes Neville replied, "I bet on Gryffindor with Draco I lost a galleon"
Patting his head Harry replied, "I'm sure the price will be worth the experience"
They half-heartedly payed attention to the rest of the sorting and Professor Dumbledore began his beginning of the year speech as he started speaking Harry thought it was strange he didn't feel any effects of Dumbledore's thrall and asked Neville about it,
"Do you know why there isn't even the slightest feeling from Dumbledore's thrall?"
Neville nodded, "Yeah according to my gran the school board has random members show up once a month to make sure he's wearing a ring that suppress it"
Harry nodded, "That's a good thing"
"Welcome everyone to another year at Hogwarts I have a few short announcements to make before the feast begins first and foremost for those of you who don't want to face a painful death do not under any circumstance go near the third floor corridor, secondly there's a full list of items that are not allowed on school grounds in each house dormitory that our caretaker Mr. Filch has put up, and thirdly but certainly not least do not enter the forbidden forest now let's eat the fine food that is prepared for us twiddle dee"
While eating Harry and Neville introduced themselves to their fellow Hufflepuff year mates which included Susan Bones, Hanna Abott, Sally Anne Perks, Justin Finch-Fletchley, Wayne Hopkins, and Ernie Macmillan . After the feast Harry felt that he had slightly overindulged himself especially by eating that last treacle tart that he just couldn't say no too. The Hufflepuff perfect who led everyone to their dormitories was simply named Tonks she had pink hair and an extremely bright smile,
"Alright firsties follow me I won't lead you wrong at least not yet," Tonks then proceeded to wink and turn around motioning them with her hand to follow her.
The trip to the dormitory wasn't a long one with only one set of stairs to come up and two turns before they arrived in a hallway with three portraits. Tonks tapped her finger under the second one once and a lever appeared Tonks pulled it down opening the doorway which included the first portrait. Harry's first opinion of the Hufflepuff common room was that homely it had bright red comfort chairs, bean bags, a fireplace, and a sign hanging over the fire place saying welcome first years. Professor Sprout then entered the room standing in front of the fire place,
"Hello first years we have a map of the shortest route to each class from the common room right on top of the fireplace I suggest you take one in the morning so you don't get lost and remember we are all a family here so stick together every one. The other announcements are that for the first year once a month I talk to you to see how everyone's adjusting and we will also discuss your grades to make sure that they are on par I shall inform you when those meetings will be at the meeting we will also discuss different clubs you can join within and outside of the house. Now since you all look tired I think it's time for bed boys to the right and girls to the left your names will be on the doors normally its two too a room however since there's five guys there will be one group of three and another group of two now of to bed with all of you"
As luck would have it Harry ended up having a room with Neville and as Harry snuggled into his extremely comfy bed Harry thought that it had been an excellent start to the new chapter of his life.
Dumbledore was walking through the hallways of Hogwarts with the first week of school completed and except for Tom checking in on Fluffy no one had ended up anywhere near Fluffy on the third door corridor. This meant he could implement his plan at any time sooner all things considered would probably be better. Even with the drawback of having to pick up the majority of the defense against the dark arts classes it was a minor blip in the grand scheme of things. So tonight at the staff meeting he would announce that he would be meeting with Minister Fudge tomorrow night Tom would take that as an opportunity. As he walked into the staff room he thought of one of Shakespeare's more notable quotes All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts. Yes he thought act two of this particular play begins know.
Twenty four hours later: Albus had finished his meeting with the meeting with the minister early so he was enjoying a nice hot cup of hot coco in the back room of the Leaky Cauldron. He had to finish it a lot sooner than he was expecting because the wards in Fluffy's room had been breached,
"Tom why do you always have such bad timing"
He murmured to himself fingering the elder wand in his hand basking quickly in its power while apparting to edge Hogwarts grounds taking a leisurely stroll as he felt Tom bypass the obstacles one by one. Smiling to himself he imagined what Tom's expression would have been if he had found out that the whole time the stone had been his pocket under the strongest anti summoning and theft spells he could think of while a fake stone had been placed behind the mirror. As he stopped to look at the lake he felt Tom get to the last room. Pulling out his wand Dumbledore apparted right into the room,
"So it was a trap can't say that I'm that surprised"
"Oh Tom of course it was a trap all I needed was the perfect bait"
Quirrelmort eyes turned blood red and he raised his wand unleashing a torrent of flames Dumbledore silently raised a golden shield in response. The battle then began in earnest trading spells that included wind, fire, water, earth, animals of all kinds being transfigured, streams of darkness, and streams of light were all used. Until Quirelmorts body just gave in mostly due to the fact that Quirells body was unable to channel the sheer amount of magic Tom was able to possess his end came convulsing on the floor with a black stream of darkness that was Tom coming out and immediately rushing through the walls of the school. As Tom disappeared Dumbledore contemplated in silence several very disturbing theories. Sighing heavily he took out a lemon drop from his scarlet robes and turned toward the dead body of Quirrel raising his wand consuming it in flames till it was nothing more than mere ashes. Tomorrow morning he would call the Auror's claiming that Quirell had asked to go out for night onto the town and had not returned. Then a week later he would announce to his staff that he had found a new place with Nichols to hide the stone with no lose ends remaining everything would be just fine. Smiling softly to himself he thought of Ariana used to always call him her hero it saddened him to know that he only became the hero she thought he was after her death apparting outside next to the lake he looked up at the stars murmuring as if it were a prayer,
"For the greater good"
THE ORDER OF THE FOX ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE (The animals are what there Masks are):
Officers Are: Leader: The Fox Healer: Snake Enforcer: Bear Intelligence Officer: Owl Trainer: Wolf Mental Psychologist: Panther Recruiters: Monkey
New Recruits or Grunts as some would call them: Dove
The Order of the Fox sat around the table there masks firmly in place there leader The Fox Jacob Denary stood up,
"After today we will have four children that we have kidnapped two from prominent light families and two from dark families. Tomorrow we will then make our demands the path won't be easy many questionable moral things will most likely need to be done so harden your hearts and take heart that our cause is just and true. But before that we have another job to do so my fellows take out your portkeys and lets begin"
The night was dark and clear with a fourth of a moon shining brightly in the sky there two curse breakers who were employed by Gringrotts who hated all wizards equally started to dismantling the small weakness they had found in the wards when they had scouted the day before. When they signaled they were done the infiltration team of four went up ahead led by The Fox according to their unwilling informant who was a tutor to the Corrigan family their heirs name was Dante he was seven, was forced to go to bed by eight, and slept on the second floor. Each member of the infiltration team took out a magically substance called sticky hands which allowed people to scale walls like the manor home they were currently at rubbing it on their hands and then they began their climb. A couple minutes later the team was on the second floor the second member of the team whispered a spell,
"Fira"
Unleashing a tight beam of heat he made a hole out of the glass window creating an opening big enough for two all four members entered three taking up positions in case a member of the family or house elf stepped in to check on Dante during the night. Jacob turned to look at his target confirming Dante's identity then in quick sucession he cast a slumber charm, a silencing charm, a Body Freezing Spell, and a levitation charm. Signaling two members of his team climbed down and the fox levitated Dante to them. Turning around he cast one final spell before he left,
"Toltaris"
A red fox in a circle appeared on the bed minutes later the team was outside of the wards leaving only one thing left to do for the night.
Janis Stouble was an assistant at the Daily Prophet and because she was a muggleborn he would never rise any further. Which is why she had joined the Order of the Fox, she was also there intelligence officer and tonight she had an extremely important mission to accomplish. If they were successful she wouldn't be stuck taking coffee to arrogant fucks straight out of school just because they were either half blood or pure blood. Her mission was simple sneak into the boss's office placing the pictures of the kidnapped children, their demands, a call to arms for the muggleborns to stand for their rights, and to join the Order of the Fox. They would gain many enemies overnight but it had to be done their voices had to be heard. Sneaking into the office with the invisibility cloak the order had procured at two thirty am even the most die-hard reporters like Skeeter were at home sleeping so they could start their day at five am sharp to start a new. Using the unlocking charm he opened his boss's door placing the files in the middle of the desk with their symbol on the folder and juicy contents it contained would ensure that the Order of the Fox's demands would hit the front page. With her job complete Janis apparted right outside of her home smiling at the stars in the sky whispering silently into the air,
"For good or ill it has begun"
