A/N: It's been a while! Here's the 16th chapter! I hope you guys like it. This was rushed so tell me what you think and if you spot any errors.

It was a day like no other. It was Milz's first trip to the local hardware store. The story behind this was that Dempsey and Richtofen got into yet another fight. Over what? Nobody knew. It started from the living room but then sprang into the kitchen where the two brawled even more. They threw fists back and forth. Majority of Dempsey's missed thanks to the fact that Richtofen was quick on his feet at dodging. Edward was filled with anger because of what had happened, but also because of Dempsey's constant blocking.

The Doctor dived in for another attack only to be grabbed by his navy blue-collar shirt and threw into the sink. The faucet came undone and popped off, releasing it's water all over the sadist's back. The fight stopped and the water was turned off by Takeo.

The four pulled straws and Nikolai lost. Even though he had no part in it. The Russian's word was nothing against the German's and he was pushed off to the hardware store for a new faucet. Milz begged to come along, yet he had no idea what the hell a hardware store was. The zombie's curiosity kicked in and he followed behind his drunken father with glee.

The Soviet made it to the hardware store without crashing (surprisingly) and the two entered the large building, escaping the breezy summer heat. The smell of freshly cut wood entered the baby's nostrils and he spotted the random candy machines set out and about near the entrance. The big, red gumball machine caught his attention and he ran over to it, eyeing the spiral at the leg of the machine. Milz gawked up at the purple, yellow, red, green, white, and orange gumballs and wanted-no, needed one. The red one mostly. The zombie glanced back at his Russian dad who was talking to an employee and begged loudly.

"Da da, gummy!"

Nikolai halted his conversation with the man in the dorky uniform and turned his head to his son who was a little too far away from him for comfort.

"Come here, tiny baby! You are too far away from Nikolai!"

Milz felt the hint of concern in the Soviet's voice and skipped across the smooth concrete floor to his side. Perhaps he'll ask for a gumball later. The child listened to the conversation all while holding onto his father's leg. He smelled of vodka and other forms of liquor. When Nikolai took off, the undead boy followed, gazing around at the wooden planks, light bulbs and spinning ceiling fans just as he did the gumballs near the front entrance.

The baby absently wandered away from his dad and explored the aisles, proud and glad that he came to such a place. Near the corner of the paint aisle, he found a shady human dressed in black. Wasn't it too hot to be wearing dark colors around this time of the year? Why on earth did this person have on a black fedora and a long black coat? Just then, the person turned around and spotted the zombified child. It was a male and he was as dark and dangerous as ever.

His gray eyes lit up with amazement as he spotted Milz and he removed his hands from his pockets. The person crouched down on one knee and stared at the baby. Milz stepped back, a little afraid and remembering what his American father had told him about strangers. The shady male reached into the pocket of his coat and pulled out something in a small plastic bag.

"Come on over, little guy. I won't hurt you." he whispered, smiling innocently at Milz.

Milz stepped over a bit, but kept his distance from the man. The person held out his hand and in it was a tiny cake in a plastic bag. The pastry seemed homemade and boy did Milz love homemade food. As soon as he took the suspicious desert, the man smiled evilly from under his hat. Off came the plastic and the zombie took a big bite, savoring the taste. He began to chew, but gagged. Something sharp had stabbed his tongue… and his cheek…. and the roof of his mouth!

Yellow eyes grew wide with terror. How could eating be so painful? What was going on inside of his mouth? Milz dropped the cake and tried to spit out the contents of his mouth, but nothing came out besides bits of cake. Why was the pain still there? What the hell was going on?! The baby glanced down at the cake on the floor and spotted a skinny, silver line with a sharp edge sticking out of the side.

"Oh, I forgot to ask. Do you like the taste of needles, little boy?"

Milz felt like he was trapped. He couldn't bring himself to run and he couldn't even think about screaming out. The only thing he was able to do was attempt to gag up the needles that were lodged in his throat. He had done it again. He had ventured away from his father into another trap. He didn't know any better. He just wanted to explore, but was only dragged into hell from doing so.

Blood poured from his mouth. It coated his bottom teeth and ran down his chin. Salty tears slithered down his cheeks. Milz dropped to his knees and peeked up at the man before him who was laughing his head off at his despair. Out of the blue, he was hit in the forehead with a… vodka bottle? The shady male flopped over from his crouching position and onto his back like a fish. He was suddenly toppled by an angry Russian who began pounding his face in with drunken fists.

Milz was picked up and sudden pressure was put onto his stomach. Puffs of air came up his throat in sudden bursts. Eventually, he coughed up 3 bloody needles and bits of blood soaked cake. Nikolai, his fists covered in crimson blood that wasn't his, ceased his attack on the shady being and walked back over to the employee whom had performed the Heimlich Maneuver on his son.

"Da da…"

"I told you to stay with Nikolai. People are dangerous."

"I sowwy…" Milz coughed as he ran into the arms of his saviour.

The two began to leave after paying for the faucet, but Milz halted them and pointed at the gumball machine that he had had his eyes on when they first walked in.

"Please?" the zombie begged.

Nikolai put some thought into it.

"Sure. Why not?"
