A/N: I have writer's block. More chapters coming soon. Hopefully.
Milz curled up behind an old slide and removed a paper red crown from his head. He peeked at his surroundings, hiding from all of the little children who wished to worship his existence. They wouldn't quit. They just wouldn't give up. The kids continued to worship. He began to hate it. It turned him into a monster. He didn't want to be kind anymore. He just wanted to be Milz.
Two brown boots stopped by his hiding spot and the zombie closed his eyes and huddled up into a tight ball. The boots faced several directions before speeding off. Milz gave a sigh of relief and relaxed a bit. The kids were searching for him and he didn't know how much he could take. These children just didn't understand the word 'no'.
Out of the blue, a pair of yellow eyes invaded his hiding spot and the undead boy gave a yelp, before covering his mouth. He grabbed a handful of wood-chips, ready to toss them into the person's eyes.
"Milly?" the person asked, their voice high and innocent.
"...Alice?" Milz replied, tilting his head in a confused manner.
"Silly Milly." the zombified female laughed, finding her friend's shock a bit amusing. "What are you doing down here?"
"I'm hiding." the boy admitted as Alice crawled behind the old, blue slide with him. "I don't want to be king anymore."
"Don't be a crybaby." the young tomboy laughed. "You king now. Accept it."
"But… being king is bad for me."
"Nu uh. You just scary crybaby." Alice sneered, playing with one of her pigtails. "Kings aren't crybabies."
"That's not very nice of you to say Alice." Milz whispered, a bit surprised at his friend's words.
"So?" the girl giggled, her eyes shining a darker shade of yellow. "Go be King. It's better than being picked on, right?"
Milz thought briefly on this, placing a finger to his chin. He thought about last night, how he disrespected his four fathers and treated them like human trash. He also thought about last week when he beat up Jacob and accidentally claimed his throne. It was better to be respected, but at the cost of becoming a monster? Was it really worth it?
"Go be king." the female zombie urged, patting Milz's shoulder.
"Are you sure?" the younger, more naive other questioned, putting his red crown back onto his head.
Alice simply nodded and Milz took off without another word. He was spotted immediately and taken to the swing sets, where Tabitha awaited his return. Meanwhile, underneath the old blue slide, Alice's once yellow eyes, changed to a flaring, dominant orange. She rubbed her hands together menacingly before speaking to herself in a nonchalant tone.
"Be King." she muttered. "Make Miss Samantha proud."
Milz opened his eyes, taking in a breath of stale air. He was back in the blue and white palace. But wasn't he just on the swings in the playground? How did he get back here? He was in the middle of one of the tall hallways, sitting on the blue and white tiles. The zombie stood up to his feet and immediately noticed the vines on the walls that seemed to be growing in from the outside. They cracked the marble walls and wrapped themselves around pillars.
"Daddies?" Milz screamed out, remembering how his fathers had served him here last time and freaked him out.
"Oh, Milly!" A soft voice echoed from behind. "Welcome back! You're just in time!"
The undead child turned around on his heels and spotted an unlikely sight behind him. His four dads stood in a row, blocking the hallway off. They didn't show their faces and their heads were down. Behind them floated a rather cheery Lona, still in her maid outfit. Her blonde hair was no longer in a bun, and instead floated behind her.
"How has the real world been?" the model asked, her yellow eyes shining brighter than ever. She was overly excited about something.
"Samantha, I know it's you!" Milz shouted, stomping his foot. "Leave me alone!"
Lona's eye twitched irritatedly. She bit her lip gloss smeared lips, avoiding saying anything that would blow her cover more than she already had.
"I'll leave you alone." the blonde muttered. "With your dads. I'm sure they know just what to do with you."
At that moment, four heads snapped up. They gave a grimace towards their son and Milz knew that this was bad. Richtofen raised a butcher's knife and lunged at the zombie. He struck the ground as Milz had moved out the way just in time. Dempsey picked up a vase and Takeo drew his sword, both of them attacking at the same time. The small king used his height to his advantage and dodged every attack that was threw at him. He rolled between legs, swerved around ankles and tripped them a few times.
The boy sprinted away once he'd found an opening. He tried to rush past a dormant Nikolai, only to get his cape caught underneath his foot. A girly laugh bounced off of the walls.
"Now I have to bring out the big guy~!" Lona laughed, clapping her hands with joy.
The big Russian gave an enraged growl and Milz quickly unhooked his cape from around his neck before two big fists crushed him. He took off, using his zombie speed to escape as quickly as he could.
"Takeo, don't let him leave!" the maid demanded and the Samurai nodded.
He jumped from wall-to-wall, sword in hand, quickly catching up to his victim. The Japanese landed in front of his prey and raised his sword. The undead stopped in his tracks and began to back away. He turned tail and ran face-first into a pair of legs. The King looked up into the angry yellow eyes of Nikolai and noticed that he'd been surrounded.
"You lose!" Lona laughed, her back to the group.
Milz sank to his knees, glaring at the model who seemed to be struggling with something in her arms.
"And now, I shall claim my prize!" the ruler giggled, turning around with a gray-faced, black-haired being in her hands.
Alice.
"No, put her down!" the zomboy cried out, screaming for his other undead friend. He got up and attempted to run over to save her, but he was grabbed by the wrist by Dempsey. "Stop it!"
The maid tilted her head back and gave another laugh. She held Milly's friend in a steal grip, ready to change his life forever and weaken him from the inside.
"Please!" the King begged and he was forced to the marble floors. He struggled to escape from the grasp of his American father, but he failed. "Don't hurt her!"
Lona watched his struggles and smirked to herself. How pathetic. Tears rushed out of Milz's eyes and he sent her another beg.
"She's my only friend!"
The model snorted and began the claim of someone near and dear to him. Alice's struggles stopped as a yellow aura began to flow out of her body into Lona's. The more power she lost, the less responsive she became. Milz's screams and shouts meant nothing as Samantha felt herself being energized from the inside.
Suddenly, the limp body of Alice was dropped onto the floor with a thud. Galaxy eyes filled the room once more and the small, dainty fingers of the model trembled with restraint.
"Enough…" Lona growled out, her floating body shaking wildly. "I can't just… sit by and… watch this anymore..."
Her eyes went to a glowing yellow.
"Stay where you belong, puppet!" She screamed at no one in particular and turned her head to Milz who had watched the whole thing. "Now would be a good time to wake up."
The coffee-haired toddler opened his eyes and nearly fell off of the swing-set. He was surrounded by kids of his own age that were all wondering why he'd started gazing off into space all so suddenly. Instead of giving the children his attention, he tilted his head to look behind Tabitha. The red-head waved a hand in front of his face, but she was ultimately ignored as Milz caught sight of what was happening over by the old blue slide.
Alice was fading away from existence, her hand extended out to him. Lona stood behind her with a hand on her head. She smirked in his direction, before disappearing with his friend. The zombified other got up and pushed past a few kids. He rubbed his eyes a bit, hoping that he was hallucinating. But he wasn't. Alice was really gone.
His only friend was gone.
