Inuyasha had slept the whole day after that, leaving us time to rest without having to deal with his whining and complaining for a bit. My hand was sprained after that dealing with Sesshomaru, to which Kagome kindly repaired for me. We had all made camp that night and discussed our next course of action.
"We are sadly running out of money at the moment, and it would be wise if we were to find a mansion near here,' Miroku said absently, as he seemed to be pondering on where to scam next.
"Agh is he always like this," I asked Sango as she repaired her weapon. She nodded as she gave Miroku a dirty look. I sighed and laird down for the night, really hoping soon to find a place to stay, I was getting tired of sleeping on the floor. "Kagome, you better get some sleep, I'm sure Inuyasha's fine, his sword is with him and Myoga didn't run so we are save for now." Kagome nodded and got up to get her sleeping bag, walking sulkily.
The next morning we were awakening by inuaysha's yelling to which ended once Kagome got annoyed and commanded him to sit. We then went our way towards the next village, the path clear and the sun shining brightly. After a few hours we soon across a figure in the distance going the same direction as us. Inuyasha didn't seem to notice the figure at first until we both smelt it, that awful scent. Is that human blood?
"Inuyasha do you smell that?"
"Yeah, it's the stench of human and demon blood and its all over that human over there," he muttered signaling his head at the man just ahead of us.
"What," Kagome gasped looking shaken at this news. Sango narrowed her eyes and Kirara started to hiss menacingly. We walked faster catching up to the figure that then stopped.
The figure then stood in our path, peering at us all as we approached him. Inuyasha growled at the scent, as it got stronger. As we got closing I gasped at the sight of him, the man was cloaked in blood and carried with him a human head and long with that of a demon.
"What the hell," I shouted putting a hand over my mouth to mask the disgusting smell. Inuaysaha and Miroku had deadly looks in their eyes, as the man pulled out his sword. The man was tall and wore what looked like ninja's clothes, as his face was undistinguishable, but his eyes narrowed at us all.
"What the hell do you want? Did you kill those people you bastard," Inuaysha shouted getting himself ready to unsheathe his sword. Kagome reached and put her hand over his to stop him.
"Stop it Inuyasha it isn't our business, we shouldn't cause any trouble, he is just a human after all."
"So your ok with this then, look at him, he just killed two people," Inuyasha continued to shout. Miroku shook his head and approached the stranger his hand over his chest.
"Dear stranger bare bind we mean you no harm, we merely request to arrive at the next village for housing. Do you have some issue with us?" The man looked over at Kagome and me after hearing this. I raised my eyebrows at him daring him to challenge me.
'What is it stranger, we mean you no harm, do you mean us any," I asked walking up to stand with Miroku, making it clear that this man didn't intimidate me. The man then lowered his sword, his eyes lingering at me for a few moments before saying, "Not if you don't get in my way." His voice was low and threatening.
He put away his sword and turned back and started running along the trail, zooming as if his life depended on it.
"I don't like this,' mutter Inuyasha as he stared back at the man's disappearing form.
"Nevertheless Inuaysha we didn't come here for trouble. That also applies to you too Kaname," Miroku said seriously. I nodded not wanting to argue at the moment. Just who was that guy?
