Mac was now five months along. The last month had dragged on. The team had case after case and she spent the time working on paperwork and cold cases. Hetty watched her like a hawk and it was slowly driving her crazy.

"Ugh!" said Mac tossing a folder onto her desk.

"You ok?" asked Deeks.

"Yeah just sick of paperwork, Hetty refuses to let me do anything except paperwork. If I leave my desk she follows me."

Deeks shook his head.

"Maybe I should just take my leave now and stay home with the girls."

"You'd be out of your mind in two days." Said Callen as he walked over to join them.

"True."

"If you're tired of paperwork you could always clean the guns in the armory?" said Deeks.

"I thought it was your turn to make sure they were all clean?" said Callen.

"It is but if she wants to do it."

"It's better than this."

Mac got up and was soon blocked by Hetty. "Now where do you think you are going?"

"I'm going to get started cleaning the guns in the armory."

"Mr. Deeks I believe that was your job."

"She needs a break from paperwork Hetty."

"Fine then you can join her and help."

Deeks moaned and got up to follow Mac.

Callen laughed. "She's going crazy Hetty."

"I simply want her to take it easy. This pregnancy has been harder on her than her first."

"Doc says she's doing just fine. Baby is healthy and growing."

"Believe me you will both thank me once your son is here."

Callen didn't want to argue with her so he let it go. Maybe he should arrange a weekend trip for MacKenna. Get her out of the city for a break.

In the armory. "So I heard Paris has been coming over a lot lately."

"Yeah she's been a big help. Callen will not let me do anything at home either. He even refuses me to go to the store myself."

"Everyone is worried something is going to happen."

"I understand that but the doctor says I'm healthy the baby is healthy so I don't understand the concern. I'm getting tired of being treated like a china doll."

"It's going to be a long four months for you."

"Maybe in should just quit. Go to work for my dad."

"Really think you could handle not knowing what was going on around here every day. Wondering if Callen was ok or not?"

"Yeah that wouldn't work either."

Deeks pulled out another gun and started taking it apart. They talked about the kids and taking them all to Disney Land soon.

"I thought Kensi hated that place?'

"She does but Donny loves it."

By quitting time the two of them had all the guns cleaned and organized. Mac was tired and her feet were swelling so she was ready to go home.

"Ok I need a beer and food." Said Kensi.

"Call your mom see if she can keep the kids a few more hours and I'll take my lady out to dinner." Said Deeks.

"You want to go out to eat too?" asked Callen looking at Mac.

"No I want to go home and lay down."

"Ok I'll call your mom have her bring the kids over no reason to drive you all over town in rush hour."

"Good. We can swing by and pick up a pizza on the way home." Mac was already on her phone ordering dinner.

Mac fell asleep in the car which worried Callen. She didn't nap never, said it made her more tired when she got up. Only time she did take naps was when she was sick or hurt.

They got the pizza and made it home before the girls. Mac headed straight to bed.

"Callen is everything alright?" asked Sara.

"Girls dinner is on the table. Anna help your sister."

"Ok daddy."

Callen waited for them to leave the room.

"Mac fell asleep in the car and when we got home went straight to bed."

"Callen she is five months pregnant."

"I know but she doesn't do that ever and she has been craving pizza and didn't eat any."

"You go eat with the girls and I'll check on my daughter."

Sara headed into the bedroom. Mac hadn't even changed only kicked off her shoes and got onto the bed.

"How's my baby?"

"Tired."

"You're not warm that's a good sign."

Mac yawned. "I was never this tired with Clara."

"It's different every time. With you I was sick every day the entire nine months. With Vlad I gained so much weight and with Micha I had the strangest cravings and hardly showed till I was eight months."

"I guess, it just hit me so fast. I was fine all day till I got into the car."

"You need to eat. Let's get you some dinner before the others eat it all and some tea."

"Hi momma." Said Anna.

"Hi baby." Mac leaned over and kissed the top of Anna's head then gave Clara a kiss. Clara giggled and shoved more pizza in her mouth. Callen got her a plate while Sara made tea.

"I'm ok Callen just tired."

"You sure?"

"Yes."

"Daddy can we go to the park tomorrow?" asked Anna.

"We'll see."

"Swing." Said Clara smiling at her dad.

After dinner they all settled in to watch a movie. Sara stayed and did some laundry for Mac before she left. Mac fell asleep and Callen left the girls watching the movie to carry her to bed.

"Ok you need to get changed."

"Um yeah fine." Mac said pulling her shirt off. Her bra hit Callen in the face and he laughed. Mac stripped naked before pulling on one of Callen's shirts. Her belly poked out a bit and Callen got onto his knees to kiss it.

"Ok little man you have to stop making mommy so tired ok." He got kicked in the face as an answer.

"That's my boy."

Callen left her to sleep and went back to spend the evening with the girls.

DEEKS PLACE

"I am so glad mom said she'd just keep the kids tonight." Said Kensi as she kissed her way down Deeks body.

"Oh yeah best idea ever." Deeks moaned when Kensi hit her target. "Ok second best idea."

Kensi laughed around him and Deeks almost came. Kensi lifted up and climbed back up his body. She sunk down onto him.

"Yeah great idea." Kensi road Deeks slowly driving him crazy. On hour later they lay there snuggled up under the sheet.

"So I told Mac we want to take all the kids to Disney Land."

"Oh thank goodness she's willing to go. You and Callen can take the kids on the rides and we can sit and eat."

"That's my girl always thinking about food."

"Damn straight."

Deeks laughed when Kensi reached over him to the night stand pulling out a candy bar.

Kensi broke off half and gave it to Deeks.

NELL AND ERIC'S.

"Eric I need diapers and powder please."

"Man this kid poops a lot. I just bought these things three days ago."

Eric grabbed his keys. "Anything else you need?"

"Well we could use formula too. Sara said she was getting low."

"Ok I'll just buy the entire baby section."

Two hours later Eric dragged several bags into the apartment. "Ok I got enough for I hope a week."

Nell was sitting on the couch feeding the baby. "Thank you Eric."

"Anything for you and Jake."

THE NEXT MORNING.

Mac woke up to the smell of pancakes and bacon. She opened her eyes to see Anna standing there with a tray of food. Clara stood next to her sister holding her stuffed bunny.

"Morning momma. I made you breakfast."

"Wow that looks good." Mac propped herself up and took the tray. She spotted Callen standing in the door way with a cup of tea.

"How are you feeling today?"

"Ok so far."

"Alright Anna take Clara and go watch some tv."

"Ok daddy."

"I made you an appointment tomorrow morning to get looked over."

"Callen I'm fine."

"And if you're not?"

"Ok I get your point. I'll get looked at."

"If the doctor tells you to stop working?"

"Then I stop working."

"Ok."

Callen spent the day with the girls letting Mac sleep. Monday morning Sara came over early to take care of the girls while Callen took Mac to her doctor's office.

"Ok let's take a look at this little guy." A few moments later they were looking at their son. He stretched and moved a bit for them.

"Christopher looks just fine."

"Good." Said Callen as he hung onto Mac's hand. "

"You're going to have a healthy little boy in a few months."

They listened to his heart beat for a few moments before the doctor told Mac she could get off the table.

"Ok now let's talk about you." The doctor looked at Mac. "What's been going on?"

"I've just been so tired. I'm good in the morning but by lunch I'm ready to sleep for the rest of the day."

"Well your blood pressure is good. I'll draw some blood just to make sure we're not missing anything. If you can start to work half days."

Mac groaned but didn't say no.

"I'll call you in a few days with the results till then rest as much as you can."

"Is it because of my age? Am I too old to be doing this?"

"Mac I've had mothers older than you that have had perfectly healthy children."

"Ok. I'll rest as much as I can."

Callen took Mac to lunch. He called Hetty and told her Mac was going to take the day.

"Callen really I'm fine I can go into work today."

"No you can't."

"Ok fine I'll go home and rest."

"MacKenna I just want you and the baby healthy and safe."

"I know." Mac pushed her lunch around on her plate.

"Not hungry?"

"Not really."

"Well try the baby needs the food."

"I know." Said Mac. "I'll eat my lunch."

Callen drove Mac home then headed into work. He showed off the sonograms then talked to Hetty.

"They took blood but everything looks good so far."

"Oh thank goodness, I was so worried."

"The doctor told her to rest a few days till the blood work is back then if nothing is wrong she can work half days only till the baby is born."

"I'll put a bed in one of the empty offices up stairs if I have to." Said Hetty.

"Hetty I was thinking about taking a few days off and taking MacKenna somewhere for a little trip."

"Oh that sounds wonderful." Hetty sipped at her tea. "Do you have any idea where you want to take her?"

"No I just want it to be somewhere peaceful."

"I know just the place. Let me take care of everything."

Callen got home late because of a case and found Mac sitting on the couch reading a story to Clara. Anna was stretched out on the floor reading.

"Hey how was work?"

"Busy. Deeks almost got shot, Kensi fell over a hillside chasing a suspect and I had to listen to Sam talk about his band new tv all day."

"Oh poor baby."

"How was your day?"

"Well I slept till mom brought the girls home. We ate dinner and Anna finished her homework."

"You three leave me any food?"

"It's in the microwave you just have to heat it."

"Great I'm starving."

Callen pushed off the couch and went to eat his dinner. Mac joined him a few moments later.

"I missed you today."

"You missed the action." Joked Callen.

"Yes but I also missed you too." Mac kissed Callen and made a pot of tea.

"Hetty said you should stay home till you hear from the doctor."

"Fine it's only a few days. Plus I can fix up the nursery while the house is quiet."

"Just don't over do it."

That night Callen was lying in bed waiting on Mac to join him. She walked in wearing a little lace number that did not cover her baby bump.

"Wow. Ok what's going on?"

"Callen if I have to spell it out to you we have a problem."

"Mac you're supposed to be resting."

"I'll rest later right now I want some time with my husband."

Mac moved to straddle Callen. "Anything else you want to add."

Callen ran his hands over his wife's body and groaned when she wiggled against him.

"No."

"Good now make love to your wife."

It took four days for the blood work to come back.

"Well Mrs. Callen looks like you're a bit anemic is all."

"Well that's good to know."

"I'll text you some supplement information that should help."

"Thank you."

"Your welcome. I'll see you in a few weeks for your next check up."

Mac called Callen and told him. He filled in Hetty and told her to text him what the doctor wanted her to take and he'd pick it up on the way home. He was thrilled it was nothing too serious.

Before he left for the day Hetty pulled him aside and handed him a packet of papers. "These are directions to the cabin. There is a cell tower nearby so you will have phone service if you need anything. I've taken care of having the place stocked with food and wood so you simply need to take your wife there and enjoy a few days."

"Thanks Hetty."

"Now you leave Friday morning it takes about three hours to get there and I don't want to see you back here until Tuesday."

"I'll call Sara tonight and let her know so she can keep the girls."

"Enjoy yourself Mr. Callen."

Callen called Sara on the way home. He wanted the trip to be a surprise. She had no problems keeping the girls. Callen then picked up the pills Mac was to take and headed home.

He kept the trip a secret until Thursday night.

"Callen is there a reason my mom is refusing to bring the girls home?"

"Yes."

"And that would be?"

"We are leaving in the morning for a little trip."

"We are?"

"Yes. I want a few days alone with my wife before our son comes."

"And where are we going?"

"It's a secret."

"Callen you know I don't like secrets."

"Ok all I know is it's a cabin. Hetty set it all up we have to be back at work Tuesday."

"Now see that wasn't that hard." Mac smacked Callen on the ass and went to pack.

The next day Mac slept the entire drive to the cabin. Once he pulled into the drive he let out a low whistle. This woke Mac.

"What?"

"Look."

"Wow."

"Do you think Hetty owns this place?"

"Knowing Hetty yes."

They got out of the car and Callen took Mac's hand. He opened the front door with the key Hetty had given him.

"Ok we need to go away more."

The cabin was huge. It had a fire going already and they could see the lake from the sliding glass doors. Everything was wood or leather.

"This place is amazing." Said Callen

"Ok you need to see this bed." Said Mac from the other room. The bed had to be at least a king.

"We are going to have some serious fun with this bed." Said Callen.

"Oh yeah we are." Mac pushed him down onto the bed. "Good thing I slept on the ride."

A few hours later they were making lunch. "So I talked to my dad and he's been giving the CIA information on the Comescu family's dirty side." Said Mac.

"Really?" asked Callen.

"Yeah I guess Granger asked him if he was willing to help them shut down the last of the human trafficking that Alexa had helped run."

"That's great."

"Well having two children who are government agents may have had something to do with it."

"Good for Victor. He wants the family to be honest this is a good start."

"He's so proud of us all, I think that the other side of the family is shameful to him."

"Well I guess we all need to work hard a making him proud of us."
