Thomas trotted through Ponyville, looking for Percy. He didn't show up to their arranged meeting at the train station, which was odd considering he suggested the station. He trotted into the Everfree Forest, searching high and low for his little friend. He noticed the swirling vortex in the distance, the same one that Mr Discord opened for him that brought him here, "Did Percy...leave?" He thought as he stepped closer towards it. He'd go through, find Percy then come right back, simple. He took in a deep breath and was about to step through when he heard a voice behind him that made him freeze, "T-Thomas? Why are you leaving?" asked the mare's voice. Thomas didn't turn to face Twilight as he spoke, "Percy might have went through, I'm going to bring him back." He said as he turned, hugged her, then stepped through.

Thomas' body was warped and twisted as his hooves became wheels once again and his flesh and fur became steel and paint. He didn't go unconscious this time so he actually got to see other worlds as he floated past. Thomas got to see a blue hedgehog fighting a fat egg shaped man, an orange peanut with a mustache running from a machine that was chopping down trees, a raccoon running from a fox lady with a shock pistol, and a short blonde boy with a metal right arm making magic from the ground. Thomas' eyes widened with wonder at all the worlds that are out there, waiting to be explored.

He blinked his eyes a few times and frowned, he was home. It took a while for him to start puffing around his branch line again, instantly he knew something was wrong, the island was in complete CHAOS! The cute animals became HUGE, the clouds were made of cotton candy and rained chocolate milk, he had to get his friends outta here! His boiler bubbled as he sped foreword, he may not like his island anymore yet it was still his true home. He then remembered his dream, he had to stay or else the island would fall under chaos eternally.

Thomas came to rest at the quarry, he hadn't found any of his friends, he was going to let them escape as he restored the island's magic. A loud CRASH! shook him from his thoughts and nearly from the rails as his eyes turned behind him, "Well, looks like the little blue puffball returned home!" cackled his old foe, the horrible, devious, Diesel 10! Thomas gasped as he watched him roll into sight, looking as evil as ever.

"Diesel 10, I have no time for your games. I need to find Percy." Thomas shouted as his bravery started rise in his boiler, that dastardly diesel laughed his horrible laugh. "Percy hasn't been here since he went off." Diesel mocked as he rode forward, closing the space between the two. Thomas gulped as he watched his rusty claw, Pinchy, raise up, "That's my cue to go." Thomas puffed as he sped full speed backwards.

Thomas laughed as Diesel 10 chased him, missing every snap at him with his claw. "You haven't gotten any faster since last time, that dip under the viaduct weigh you down!" Thomas mocked as he sped out of the quarry his wheels roaring down the tracks as he saw the portal, still open. He hated to do it, but he decided it would be best to come back for his friends at a later time, hopefully with some help from the girls back in Ponyville. He whistled loudly, one last time, before VWOOSH, he was through the portal once again, he closed his eyes and waited until he felt his hooves hit solid ground before bolting towards Twilight's Library.

Diesel 10 charged forward into the vortex, he wasn't letting that pest escape him again! Discord hired him for this very reason, and he wasn't going to let his new boss down so easily. Meanwhile, Fluttershy was near the portal entrance, a basket of berries in her mouth as she hummed softly to herself. She was having a really nice day, letting her mane fly freely in the gentle breeze that had begun a short while ago. She turned and moved just in time not to be down by a monster of a pony, with a metal claw on his back; She screamed as flashbacks of her nightmare caused her to curl into a ball and cover herself in her wings. She shook violently until she was sure the creature had passed.

Author's Note:Sorry for the short chapter, but I've kinda been running low on ideas. I hope this tides y'all over for now.
