Also, a big thanks to Guest, belladu57, Prince, Nicole NightLock, ADDBaby and Shi for their reviews!

Every time I get a review, I give out a squeal of delight, hehe.

Without further ado, let's get on to the new chapter where Kirimi meets Midorima and Takao!

Recap:

"Riko-chan," said Kirimi determinedly. "Can I request something? Is it alright if Tetsuya-kun and Kagami-kun have their own training regimen? I have some things I want him to try out,"

Riko smiled at her.

"I'm counting on you, my little assistant coach! Give it all you've got!"

"Right!" said Kirimi, saluting.

Riko looked around at her players.

"There's only very little time left until the preliminaries begin! Until then, you won't have time to complain!" she said.

"YEAH!" shouted everyone.

This was it. This was their next step. Kirimi touched her chest. Her heart was beating fast but she didn't feel pain. She was excited, she was scared but most all of all, she was ready for the Interhigh.

End of Recap

It was late evening. The roads were empty except for two boys on a man-powered rickshaw. A stray dog barked at this unusual sight.

"Huff….huff…huff…Shin-chan…why…do you…never…lose in…rock-paper…scissors..." panted a raven haired young man as he pulled the rickshaw forward.

"According to Oha-Asa, Scorpios should have so-so luck today. Cancer is supposed to have better luck. Scorpio placed 8th while Cancer placed 5th. It should be obvious why you keep losing today, Takao," said 'Shin-chan' who was none other than the Generation of Miracles' ace shooter, Midorima Shintaro.

"Speaking of which…Shin-chan…the other day…in Kaijo…there was something about that invisible teammate of yours….he has some girl as his special coach or something….is she cute?" asked Takao, grinning at Midorima even though he was struggling.

"Her looks are of no consequence. If anything, her sign is more important," said Midorima primly.

Takao sighed.

"Shin-chan…you're such…a killjoy…"

Midorima closed his eyes in thought.

Flashback:

"Gemini's horoscope predicted terrible luck for you today, but I didn't think you'd actually lose," said Midorima.

Kise closed the tap and looked up.

"You came to watch, Midorimacchi?" he asked.

"Either way, it was an unfortunate game. Even a monkey could have managed those dunks. It's no wonder fate didn't choose your side," replied Midorima.

Both former members of Teiko went on to talk about dunks and their importance (or not in Midorima's case). Midorima went on to talk about going according to fate and carrying Oha-Asa's lucky items. Today's lucky item was a toy frog.

"Shouldn't you be telling Kurokocchi all this instead of me?" asked Kise.

"There's no need. B-Blood types like myself and A-Blood types like him never get along," said Midorima. "I not only acknowledge his style but respect it,"

His expression slowly turned into a frown.

"But I cannot accept his decision to attend an obscure school like Seirin. I simply came because we'll play them in the division preliminaries,"

"Huh. I see," said Kise. "Even if you came at the end of the game, you must have seen herright?"

Midorima cocked his head.

"The middle school girl - the one with the adorable fluffy purple hair and cute voice, Kirimicchi!" said Kise, excitedly.

Midorima's eyes narrowed slightly. He hadn't been inclined to believe it, but yes, he had seen the girl. Her name was Ayasaki Kirimi. Most people would think that she didn't stand out from any other young girl. But there was something about her that was familiar to Midorima but he just couldn't put his finger on it.

"What about her?" he asked Kise, trying his best to look disinterested.

Kise smirked playfully.

"Don't pretend that you weren't surprised when you saw her. I got a total beating from Seirin for underestimating her. Don't do the same thing, Midorimacchi!"

"Fool," said Midorima coldly. "This is why you're no good. Big or small, man or woman, child or adult, if it is according to fate, anything can happen. But let me tell you this: whether Kuroko has that girl helping him or not, we will not lose to Seirin,"

Midorima suddenly looked to his left. Seirin was leaving the Kaijo school grounds. There was Kuroko with bandages around his head and Kirimi walking behind him. Midorima narrowed his eyes again as he looked at Kirimi. Just where had he seen her before?

End of Flashback

"Kagami-kun, did you stay up all night again?" asked Kirimi with giggle. "That's not good for your health, you know~"

"S-Shut up," spluttered Kagami, rubbing the bags under his eyes.

Kuroko smiled a small smile.

The Seirin basketball club was on its way to the stadium where their first match to qualify for the Interhigh would take place. It wasn't that much of an event, but you could still see people of all ages, especially students around the area.

Kirimi breathed in deeply. The air felt so good. The atmosphere felt even better. Her tummy was going gurgle-gurgle because she was excited but tense at the same time. Oh, how she had missed this feeling! She felt she'd never get enough of it. And it was time to see how all the plays she had come up for Kuroko would go. Kirimi had pulled two to three all-nighters using paper after paper to write in her theories and test them out the next day. But it was alright. Her grades were still good. She was in no danger.

They were facing Shinkyo Academy today, the one with Papa Myabe…uh, 'Dad' as Kuroko had put it. Papa…Dad…Papa…Dad. Kirimi inwardly laughed at Kuroko's naming sense. That had sent the team into splutters of laughter that day.

Both teams, Seirin and Shinkyo were now warming up for the match. But there was no sign of Papa…er, Dad. Kirimi looked around searching for him.

"Dad doesn't seem to be here," said Hyuuga, voicing her thoughts.

"Hmm, now that you mention it-" started Izuki.

BAAAM!

The sound of someone hitting against something was met with a grunt. The team looked around. Kirimi looked around and when she did, her jaw dropped. A player had just entered, or rather tried to enter the stadium but had hit his head on the top of the entrance. Everyone in Seirin looked in both awe and shock. This creature with long arms, and with legs almost as big as Kirimi herself was Dad?

"This isn't fair," said Kirimi envious of his height. "Why is he so tall?

"Forget his height, why is he so long?" said Izuki, his eyes popping.

"That's what I want to know too," said Koganei , also staring at Dad.

As Hyuuga was practicing, the ball bounced off the basketball hoop and gently tapped another Shinkyo player's leg.

"Oh, sorry," said Hyuuga, coming to collect it.

"Did you guys really beat Kaijo?" asked the guy who was apparently the captain of Shinkyo, Tanimura Yusuke.

"Well, it was just a practice game," said Hyuuga, not sure what to say. He didn't want to boast.

Tanimura looked around at Seirin and let out a snicker.

"I see. I guess the Generation of Miracles aren't as strong as we thought," he said demeaning them.

Kirimi and everyone in Seirin glared at him. Kirimi may not have the best impression of the Generation of Miracles but she didn't like how this guy was putting down Kaijo and Kise. Sure, Kise might have an arrogant personality, but there was no denying his strength. Had Kise played in full power in the practice match, she was sure that Kaijo would have won.

"The Generation of Miracles lost? They brought me here to beat them. I'm disappointed that they're so weak," said Dad, shrugging nonchalantly.

He was so tall that he didn't even spot Kirimi and Kuroko until he bumped into them.

"Ouch!" cried Kirimi, rubbing her forehead.

Dad looked around here and there as if he hadn't heard her. Then he finally looked down and spotted Kirimi glaring at him and Kuroko staring at him. Kirimi was about to say something when to her utter shock, Dad picked up Kuroko easily with both hands.

"Wha-!" said Kirimi, eyes popping.

"No, little boy. Children shouldn't be on the court. Now, why don't you and your little girlfriend watch the match from the stands?" said Dad.

Then he finally looked at Kuroko properly and saw that he was a player. Dad was shocked.

"They lost to a child like him? Are the Generation of Miracles all children?" said Dad mockingly as he walked away.

Kirimi's face turned red as tomato as she flushed from three things: being called Kuroko's 'little girlfriend', calling Kuroko a child and mainly because she was still envious of him and his height. Every person in Seirin was guffawing with laughter, Kagami so weak with laughter that he couldn't stand.

"The little boy and his little girlfriend!" spluttered Kagami, clutching at his sides.

Kirimi clenched her fists in annoyance and anger. Why that meanie! How dare he say that! Then she felt a warm hand on her head. She looked up. Kuroko was rubbing her head, but he looked very angry.

"Honestly, I'm starting to get annoyed," said Kuroko in a voice with subtle anger but enough to stop making everyone laugh.

"Mm, me too, Tetsuya-kun," said Kirimi, so mad that you could see fire around her body. "Just you wait, you pencil head! We're going to turn you into mince meat for that!"

"She didn't deny being Kuroko's girlfriend," whispered Koganei to Tsuchida.

Izuki nodded with them.

"Well then, let's show dad why he shouldn't piss off kids," said Kagami grinning.

The game began with Shinkyo having the advantage due to Dad's height. The Shinkyo captain was incredibly cocky.

"We've got our own ridiculous players," said Hyuuga. "You'll soon see what the 'little boy', his 'girlfriend' and our tiger can do,"

Kuroko and Kagami started to get serious. Kuroko passed from one player to another smoothly. Dad wasn't very good at shooting, so it was easy for Seirin to get rebounds. Kagami was also doing well thanks to Mitobe and Riko's training.

"Sick him, Tetsuya-kun!" yelled Kirimi. "Let him know that short people have POWER!"

"K-Kirimi-chan?" said Riko nervously. "Calm down, it's OK,"

Kirimi blinked.

"Sorry, Riko-chan," said Kirimi with an annoyed expression. "But I can't get over people calling someone weak just because they're short!"

The freshman on the bench chuckled nervously. Well, they had learned one thing and that was to never piss off Kirimi or Kuroko by calling them children or calling them short.

The game soon changed into Seirin's favor. There were two more dunks, both teams were scoring but Seirin was having the upper hand even after Kuroko was not playing during the second half. And Riko was finding out something which made her wonder…was Kagami starting to jump even higher? He looked like he was trying too hard. Kirimi and Kuroko remembered Kise's words about Kagami reaching the level of the Generation of Miracles and grow apart from his team. The game ended with Seirin's victory.

As they were leaving the stadium, Kirimi felt that someone was looking at her. She spotted something green for just a moment. It was just a second but it looked like someone with green hair.

"Hmm?"

x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o-

Seirin made its way through their game with Shinkyo Academy and two more schools. Their fourth game was against Meijo Academy which had those mean street ball players from the other day when they had their practice match with Kaijo. The players were terrified when they saw Kuroko and Kagami, and Seirin crushed them. But now was when things really got serious. It was time to face the three undisputed kings of Tokyo.

"The three kings, huh?" said Kagami, pondering.

The sooner the seniors and Riko had told the freshmen and Kirimi about them, they heard a commotion, with people chattering left and right.

"Look!" said one guy.

"They're here, they're here!" said another.

Kirimi looked around.

"Looks like they came," said Hyuuga a sour expression on his face.

Riko nodded.

"It's better to see something for yourself than hear about it," she said. "First years and Kirimi-chan, prepare yourselves. You're going to see something amazing today. They're supposed to be even more amazing this year, one of the three kings of Tokyo, Shutoku High!"

Shutoku High…this meant that one of those players who were approaching the court were one of Kuroko's old team mates, one of the Generation of Miracles. Kirimi wondered who it could be. Kuroko was also staring at the team.

Kirimi stared at the stands in disbelief.

"I-It's almost the whole student body of Shutoku is cheering them on," she said shivering slightly.

"I'm gonna go say hi," said Kagami.

"Y-Yeah, go say hi…wait, what? Kagami-kun?" exclaimed Kirimi.

"Hey!" said Hyuuga, trying to stop the team's tiger.

Kagami ignored him and went forward. He approached a green-haired boy. Kirimi's mouth opened slightly. Green haired…could he have been the green haired boy whose hair she had briefly seen during their match with Shinkyo? He was the one who was part of the Generation of Miracles then.

"Hey, you're Midorima Shintaro, aren't you?" asked Kagami casually.

Midorima looked utterly calm and composed.

"Yes, but who are you?" asked Midorima coldly.

His teammate next to him, the raven haired boy, Takao let out a chuckle. Midorima was acting proud as usual. He knew exactly who Kagami was and right now he could tell Midorima wanted to meet the mysterious Seirin girl. Kagami and Midorima talked to each other for a bit while Kirimi and Kuroko watched them.

"I want the guy who I'm about to get revenge on for my seniors to remember me," said Kagami.

Midorima pushed his glasses up slightly.

"Revenge?" he said. "You really don't think before you speak, do you?"

Kagami stared at him. What was he talking about?

"You're from Seirin, aren't you?" said Takao. "Haven't your seniors told you anything?"

"Huh?" said Kirimi, looking at Koganei. "Told us what?"

Koganei's expression looked very forlorn.

"Last year, the three kings utterly destroyed Seirin by tripling their score in each game," said Takao.

Kirimi's breath caught in her throat. Then she looked to her right. Kuroko was getting up and walking to where Kagami and the two other boys were. Kirimi looked at Riko who looked like she was in severe emotional pain right now. She went over to Riko and touched her arm, trying to comfort her. Then she followed Kuroko in his wake.

"Even if we meet again in the championship game, history will only repeat itself," continued Midorima.

"No," said Kuroko, interrupting.

Midorima and Takao looked at him.

"You can only speculate based on the past," said Kuroko a bit firmly. "You won't know what will really happen until you play, Midorima-kun,"

Midorima was about to retort when Kirimi spoke.

"I agree," said Kirimi loudly. "In history, many a great empire changed when no one was expecting it to. War would break out and the empire would fall and as soon as you blinked your eye, there would be a new king occupying the throne,"

Midorima and Kagami stared at her. Takao gave a soft whistle under his breath.

"Whoah, aren't you a smart one," he said approaching Kirimi and putting his arm around her.

Kirimi blinked. She did not feel comfortable with him doing that. The only person who had done something like that to her was Shizuo. Kirimi hardly knew this raven haired boy.

"Huh?" said Kirimi looking at the raven head with a slightly annoyed face, trying to push his hand off. "I just stated facts from history,"

"Hmm~" said Takao, looking at her and then the players of Seirin. "So, who's the guy here who's got this clever little sister?"

Kirimi gave Takao a small glare.

"I'm nobody's little sister," said Kirimi, still struggling. "I'm Tetsuya-kun's personal coach. By the way, can you please let go of me?"

Takao blinked. There was silence for two seconds.

"Eh? EHHHHHH? Wha….the girl Shin-chan mentioned…the coach of the invisible man…it's YOU?" said Takao very surprised.

Kirimi braced herself for comments about her being a 'little girl'. She was nearly used to it now but still not fully. But she had noticed that Midorima hadn't said anything. He was just looking at her.

"Whoah, no wonder Shin-chan didn't say much when I asked him if the girl was cute," continued Takao. "He was being all shy because the girl he was really interested in was actually so young! He even went to see your first preliminary game because he'd heard you were a real shock in the Kaijo game and-"

Midorima was interested her? For what purpose? And he didn't look particularly interested from what Kirimi could see. But before Takao could finish his sentence, Kirimi felt someone grab her shoulder and pull her to their side. It was Kuroko.

"Uwaa…Tetsuya-kun?" said Kirimi, looking at him.

Kuroko didn't look at her. He was looking at Takao. It was hard to tell, but Kuroko's face had a hint of annoyance plus just a tiny bit of possessiveness in them, something that Kirimi couldn't tell. Kuroko didn't really understand but he had been on a slight edge ever since the whole 'Akashi the red wolf' incident. He couldn't really get why it was bothering him but he didn't like to see Midorima's team mate casually put his arm around Kirimi.

"Kirimi-san asked you to let go of her. Also, you're overwhelming her. Please stop that," said Kuroko, his eyes showing more emotion than usual.

Midorima noted this as well as Takao. Kagami looked at Kuroko confused. Kuroko wasn't the type to get mad at little things like this.

"Mitobe, Tsuchhi, did you see just now how Kuroko pulled Kirimi to his side? I really think they could be in a relationship!" said Koganei excitedly.

"Keep your voice down, Koga!" whispered Tsuchida.

Mitobe nodded.

"What are you boys mumbling about?" asked Riko menacingly.

The three seniors jumped.

"N-Nothing, Coach. J-Just…you know…"

Riko's menacing face turned into a girly grin.

"Just kidding~ Actually, let me join you!" she said gleefully, watching the scene in front of her like a drama.

Three knights (Midorima, Takao and Kagami) and one princess (Kirimi), thought Riko giggling.

Takao blinked.

"Oops, sorry, sorry, I didn't mean to bully her or anything, I was just surprised!" said Takao, apologizing.

He turned to look at Midorima.

"Shin-chan, why are you staying still? I know you're dying to talk to uh…what was it? Kirimi? Yeah, Kirimi-chan!"

Riko and the others gave out muffled squeals when Takao called Kirimi by her first name.

Riko couldn't help but feel that she was watching some kind of drama on TV. Kirimi looked clueless about the situation, Kuroko was displaying slight annoyance, Kagami looked confused and Takao was grinning from Midorima's reactions.

Midorima glared at Takao, though inside he was burning with curiosity.

"You shouldn't make up stories so casually, Takao," he said.

He stared at Kirimi with an intense expression now. Then, he started walking towards her.

"Ah! Sorry for the late introduction. Nice to meet you, Midorima-kun," said Kirimi, bowing. "My name is Ayasaki Kirimi, I'm Kuroko Tetsuya-kun's coach,"

Midorima continued to stare harder.

Kirimi cocked her head confusedly. He hadn't commented about her being a middle-schooler or anything like that but Midorima looked like he had a lot to say to Kirimi but was holding it all in. Kirimi hoped he wasn't going to be as scary as Akashi. He didn't look like that, but you never could tell.

Kirimi blinked.

"Is there something on my face?" she asked, waiting for Midorima to speak.

"Pffft!" said Takao, laughing again.

Kagami was blinking from confusion.

"…your sign," said Midorima staring at her.

"Excuse me?" said Kirimi, who hadn't quite heard him.

"What is your zodiac sign?" asked Midorima clearly.

"Huh? What'd he say?" Kagami whispered to Takao. "What's he talking about?"

"Just shut up and watch the two knights talking to their princess!" said Takao, echoing Riko's thoughts, not wanting to be interrupted as he was having a glorious time watching Kirimi make Midorima make all sorts of subtle expressions on his face.

Kirimi looked at Midorima.

"I'm a Scorpio. And you are?" she said clearly.

Midorima looked taken aback by her question. Most other people would just stare at him as if he was a weirdo.

"I am a Cancer," replied Midorima.

Kirimi looked at the little toy he was carrying in his hand.

"Oh! Hey, is that Cancer's lucky item for today?" asked Kirimi curiously.

Midorima's eyes widened.

"Y-Yes. It is a stuffed bear. It is to compensate for my bad luck,"

"I see," said Kirimi. "You must love Oha-Asa, huh? It even has the lucky karate outfit on!"

"EH?" said Takao. "Kirimi-chan, how do you know what that is? Are you a horoscope freak like Shin-chan too?"

Kirimi narrowed her eyes at Takao.

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me by first name so casually, Takao-kun," she said stiffly. She turned to Midorima again. "At home, we always watch the horoscope channel during breakfast. We've been doing it as far as I can remember,"

It was something Kirimi hadn't really paid much attention to when she was younger, but it was due to a fateful day when she had actually paid attention to the horoscope when Kirimi had been able to escape from her mother and even catch a basketball for the first time in her life. She had paid some more attention to the horoscope channel since then, but she wasn't into superstition all that much, just a little, because of that wonderful day when she was six years old.

Flashback:

Kirimi was having her breakfast one day when she casually looked at the channel on television her mother was watching when she saw something which piqued her interest. It was the daily horoscope and it was talking about Scorpios. She didn't have anything else better to do so she listened.

Apparently, being a Scorpio was lucky by itself-

So she should consider herself lucky? Well, that was surprising.

-and that today of all days Scorpios would be extremely lucky-

Kirimi's eyes widened slightly.

-and that all their endeavors today would be successful.

Kirimi was not one to believe in horoscopes, but it made her a bit excited all the same that today would be a lucky day for her apparently. And it had been true. That day, Kirimi had been able to escape from her mother and she had been able to touch the orange ball, the basketball! It was also on that day that Kirimi first exhibited her ability of smoothly receiving and passing the ball.

End of Flashback

Takao grinned.

"Kirimi, I didn't know you were into horoscopes," said Kagami, who was equally oblivious as Kirimi.

"Hehe, isn't that nice, Shin-chan?" said Takao teasingly.

"Why do you not have your lucky item with you? For Scorpio, the lucky item today is a pair of glasses," said Midorima, ignoring Takao.

Kirimi sweat dropped.

"Ah…well, I did say we watched the horoscope channel, but I'm not really into it that much," said Kirimi sheepishly rubbing the back of her head.

Then she blinked and her face broke into a grin.

"Ah, but Midorima-kun, you're wearing a pair of glasses today plus you have your lucky item with you so you could say that your glasses are my lucky item right now, huh?" said Kirimi jokingly.

To her utter surprise, Midorima took her joke seriously.

"You're right. Your lucky item could be my glasses because I already have luck since I have MY lucky item," said Midorima seriously.

Kagami didn't really understand what was going on. Lucky items? Oha-Asa? Stuffed bears? What was going on here? Takao was laughing so much there were tears in his eyes.

"U-Um…" said Kirimi awkwardly. "I was just-"

She never expected the boy to take her joke seriously.

"How long are you going to keep talking?" shouted Shutoku's captain from the other side of the court.

Kirimi watched Takao and Midorima as they talked to their teammates. Well, Midorima wasn't talking much. He still seemed to be thinking about his lucky item for the day.

Riko gave Kirimi a pat on the back.

"Riko-chan!" said Kirimi.

"You are Kuroko sure gave them a mouthful," said Riko.

"Sorry!" said Kirimi. "I was just…caught up in the moment…I'm sorry!"

"Who cares?" said Hyuuga. "You two didn't say anything we weren't thinking,"

Midorima turned around one last time to look at Kirimi and Kuroko.

"Ayasaki, Kuroko, I will show you both just how naïve your thinking is," said Midorima seriously.

Kirimi stared back at him determinedly. She looked at Kuroko. His eyes were burning, as if they were sapphire. Kuroko hadn't been very fond of Kise and his puppy like ways but there seemed to be more between him and Midorima, or so Kirimi sensed.

They were now with the rest of Serin on top of the stadium, looking down at the court below. Shuutoku High School continued to cheer for their team. Midorima was talking to his captain about wanting to start the match. The captain argued with Midorima saying that he might mess up.

"Didn't you say you didn't want to play because today's fortune was bad?" asked the captain.

"He's just excited after meeting an old friend and meeting a prospective new friend!" said Takao, grinning.

"I've had enough of your wild speculations," said Midorima. "I just want to test out my shooting,"

His captain talked to him some more and warned Midorima not to mess up. Midorima nodded. Kirimi only noted now that his fingers were taped. She wondered why he did that. Seirin watched as Shutoku made another score against their opponents. The gap between them was only increasing. Shutoku's fundamentals were solid not to mention they had a true scorer, the captain, Otsubo Taisuke.

"Looks like Midorima's also playing well," said Kagami.

"Is that right?" asked Kuroko confusedly.

"I don't know!" said Kagami. "Shouldn't you know?"

"What do you mean by that, Tetsuya-kun?" asked Kirimi curiously.

"Well, I've never seen him miss," answered Kuroko.

"Eh?" said Kagami and Kirimi at the same time. "What do you mean?"

As they were speaking, Kirimi say Midorima make a three pointer, but from a very great distance. She watched entranced as the ball kept going up, up and up as it made a huge arc and went towards the basket. The next most dumbfounding thing was that Midorima turned around to go back to defend the hoop before the ball even fell into the basket. It was a perfect shot. Kirimi couldn't help but be amazed.

"As long as Midorima-kun doesn't lose his form, he makes 100% of his shots," said Kuroko.

"Seriously?" said Koganei.

"That's just not fair," said Tsuchida.

Midorima made shot after shot after shot. Kirimi recalled her times with Shizuo and how he would tell her that shooting was important. He would especially say that a three-pointer was special. Kirimi could totally understand why he had said that now. In the end, the score was 153 to 21, with Shutoku's victory. As Midorima walked back to the benches, he paused and looked up at Seirin, particularly Kagami, Kuroko and Kirimi.

x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o- x-o-

Seirin went back to their locker, still thinking of Shutoku.

"Alright, let's go home-" started Hyuuga.

"Dooooon't!" yelled Riko. "We've got one more game today! Are you stupid?"

Kagami blinked.

"Huh? We have another game? Seriously?" he said stupidly.

"Kagami-kun…"

"You really are you stupid, you bakagami!" yelled Riko again. "Check the tournament bracket properly! On the last day, our opponents will likely be Seiho. We'd play Shutoku in the finals. We'll be playing against two of the kings in a row,"

There were so many games to play. So much to do. So much basketball! Kirimi gulped and grinned at the same time, leading to her looking a bit creepy.

"Kirimi-chan?" said Koganei scared.

Kagami smirked.

"Heh. Two games in a day and both of our opponents are strong. I couldn't ask for more!" he said, his eyes full of excitement.

"But this is too much. Who are you trying to impress?" asked Kawahara.

"Right Kuroko?" said Furihata.

"Sorry, I'm actually a little excited too," said Kuroko with an equally eerie expression as Kirimi.

"Kirimi-chan!" said Fukuda. "Put some sense into their heads!"

But Kirimi was giggling like a little witch brewing up a ghastly concoction.

"I mean…" said Kirimi excitedly. "You know, it's something you don't experience very much in your lives….this kind of excitement, like excitement!"

"Kirimi-chan, your way of talking is all wonky" said Izuki. "A witch's cat is cranky so the witch becomes wonky!"

"Izuki, shut up," said Hyuuga.

"But really, don't difficult situations light a fire in you?" asked Kuroko.

Kagami, Kirimi and the rest of Seirin, including the frightened first years grinned at him.

"All right! I'm on fire!" yelled Kagami.

"Me too, me too!" said Kirimi jumping up and down.

Riko sighed. Well, that's what you'd expect with basketball idiots…and a mini basketball idiot.

And that bring chapter 9 to an end! How did you guys like it? Midorima is a very interesting character so it was fun writing about him! And I love making stupid puns for Izuki hehe. xD

I'm thinking of having a small 'date' chapter soon with one of the Kiseki members. Stay tuned~

P.S Review please? Thank you!
