Hey guys! Sorry it took too damn long for an update. I got another mental block! I stopped halfway through the story, not knowing what to write. I AM SO SORRY!
Hope you'll like the update. It's to cheesy, really, but please bear with it!
Night settled at Enchancia as Sofia was preparing herself to go to bed. She was gently brushing her hair in front of her mirror. After a few strokes, she put down her brush and sighed. She glanced at her reflection on the mirror, barely noticing a small tear roll down her eye. She brushed it off hastily and then stood up to walk to her bed. Upon reaching her destination, she sat down and pinched the bridge of her nose, as if scolding herself.
"Get a hold of yourself, Sofia." She muttered. "At least for a day... I could say that he's mine."
She looked down, and noticed that a teardrop had already fallen on her lap. She wiped off the tears on her cheek roughly, and then patted her cheeks. Sofia was about to stand up and change in to her night clothes, but she was caught by surprise as she heard a faint noise coming from her window. She stood up and glanced at her window to see James smiling at her. Sofia almost ran towards the window and opened the sill instantly.
"James!" exclaimed. The prince grinned at her sheepishly as he scratched his head in embarrassment.
"I realized that we can't spend the whole day tomorrow. So why not spend the whole night together?" he said with faint shades of crimson covering his cheeks. Sofia smiled sweetly and knocked his head gently.
"The window is not the only way to my room, James. There's a door over there." She said, pointing at her room's door. James chuckled, as if Sofia just said a good joke.
"Who said we'll spend the night in the castle?" he said with a mischievous grin playing on his face. Sofia raised an eyebrow, a bit confused with what the blond just said.
"What?"
"I can't even risk getting my horse. Some servants might get suspicious and tell dad." James said as he scratched his head. Sofia could only stare at him in awe, her lips carefully forming into a small smile. He smiled as well and extended his hand towards her to invite her out. Without hesitation, she placed her small hand on his as he pulled her out and into his arms.
"Where are we going to go?" Sofia asked.
"Anywhere." James replied.
The two went down the balcony as quietly as they could. James climbed down first and then assisted Sofia so that she could reach the ground safely. As they walked through the palace's garden, they walked through a secret passage inside the garden that leads directly outside the castle's walls. Outside was James' horse, patiently waiting for him as it ate grass.
"I thought it was risky to get your horse out?" Sofia asked.
"Let's just say a certain someone helped us out." The prince said with a wink.
Hand in hand, the two walked towards the calm horse. James climbed on top on his horse and then pulled Sofia up as she sat behind him.
"Hold on tight." He muttered as his horse flew up in the air on his master's command. Sofia placed her arms around James' torso instantly, not wanting to fall off. As they were up in the sky, she gently leaned her head on the blond prince's back. James blushed, feeling the warmth of Sofia's body behind him. He frowned as he felt her grip on him grow tighter, not letting go.
After a few minutes up in the air, James and Sofia finally reached their destination. The place was placid; a meadow of flowers gently tucked in around trees, hidden very securely. Fortunately for them, the moon was up and bright in the night sky, along with thousands of glimmering stars. The meadow gave a magical feel because of the moon's gentle glow. The flowers were gracefully dancing with the wind. It was as if the whole place was elegantly prepared just for tonight. Sofia could only stare in awe at the glorious sight in front of her.
"James... how did you find this place?" She asked in daze.
"I was 15—14... I think, the time where I kind of stormed off the castle and didn't go home for. The whole 24 hours." James said, recalling the memory. Sofia remembered that day gingerly. It was the time when King Roland and James had a big fight that was enough for her step-brother to leave the palace for a while. For whatever reasons they fought, she already forgot.
"This place is kinda secluded and not a lot of people know about this." The prince of Enchancia said as he gently caressed Sofia's hair that was hanging loosely beside her ear. Then, his hand found its way to her blushing cheek.
"In this place, we could be lovers." She muttered softly, as she placed her hand on James' that was on her cheek. He felt a bit sad upon hearing what she said. He leaned in a bit closer towards Sofia, their foreheads touching. Anticipating what her prince would do, she closed her eyes, waiting for his lips to touch hers. With their noses touching, he nuzzled his nose against hers lovingly.
"And no one would see me do this." Gently, he closed the gap between their lips. James pulled her closer with his free hand on her waist.
Their lips moved naturally against each other. Inseparable.
Sofia pulled away gently, trying to catch her breath. With their foreheads and noses still touching, she could feel James' hot breath on her cheeks in a rhythmic manner.
Then James leaned towards Sofia and kissed her once more. This time, it was more passionate. More desperate. He held her so close against him, as if not wanting to let go. Gradually, their kiss went softer as Sofia slowly parted her head away from James'.
"Sofia?"
The brunette princess looked up at her prince, her eyes glittering from the moon's soft glow. James wiped away a tear flowing down her cheek with a slight frown forming on his lips. Her lips formed a small smile, reassuring him that nothing was wrong. James patted her head and planted a small kiss on her forehead, catching Sofia in surprise.
"We'll make it work. It's destiny that planned for our paths to cross. Then maybe destiny has a plan for us, right?" he said, his embrace on her tightened. Sofia's eyes widened a bit in surprise. She smiled at him sweetly and then leaned her head on his chest, as if trying to hear his heart beat.
"Right." She replied.
In the middle of their embrace, a heavy downpour of rain interrupted them. They both ran towards the forest, trying to find a shade. But the rain was far too heavy that not even the leaves and branches of the trees helped t keep them dry. As they ran further into the forest, they found a small cave enough for the both of them. Both were panting, trying to catch their breaths, though they still had their hands intertwined. As they calmed down, they decided to stay in the cave until the heavy downpour would at least settle down.
"I didn't expect to rain, not with a sky as clear as tonight." James said.
"I sure hope that your horse is fine." Sofia worriedly said, looking out at the opening of the cave.
"I'm sure he is. He's kinda surrounded with trees with thick leaves. We're just a bit unlucky."
James sat on the ground and leaned on the wall, letting it support all of his weight. Sofia sat beside him, feeling a bit cold. As he noticed that the brunette beside him was shivering slightly, he placed an arm around her and pulled her close against him. Sofia peered at him and gave him a smile to show her gratitude. James returned the smile and placed a small kiss on her forehead.
"I hope that warmed you up." He said. Blood rushed to her cheeks, successfully warming her face up.
"Yes, it helped a bit." She replied, not taking her eyes off of her prince. They stared at each other's eyes for a moment, until they leaned towards the other and closed the gap between them. As their kiss went deeper, James placed his arm from her shoulders to her torso, gently laying her down the ground. Not creating a gap between their lips, he hovered on top of Sofia and placed his hands beside her to support his weight. They pulled away after a moment, staring deeply in to each other's eyes and panting heavily.
"Are you warm enough?" James asked as he caressed the cheek of the brunette princess beneath him.
"Not yet." Sofia muttered her reply as she placed her arms around James' neck to pull him down for another kiss.
The heavy rain toned down to a gentle drizzle, but the two were still inside their own world, not letting go of each other.
Oooooooooooooooh what are they doiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing? ;)) I'll let your imagination do it hihihihi
Hopefully, an idea would roll in for chapter 4. Thanks for bearing with me! See ya!
