White Knight was not as sensitive as Six and Holiday. He grilled me endlessly about my meeting with Rylander. He was furious that Van Kleiss had killed him. "I'm sure Rex did his best to save him." Holiday said softly. Yeah, but not enough I thought bitterly. 0o0 I plodded back to the room they gave me. I put on my headphones and tried to drown out my thoughts. I couldn't handle it right now. I must have dozed off because I was suddenly face to face with a gigantic odd looking nanite. "What are you?" I asked in awe. It didn't answer me but I felt I knew it was the nanite Rylander injected me with. It seemed to project in my mind an image of something. I saw a schematic of a large machine in my head. My arm started glowing and what I saw in my head started growing out of my hand. "What? Wait! Hey!" I yelled as I couldn't control the rate at which the build was coming out. I startled awake and fell off my bed. As I lifted my hand to my head I whacked myself with something long and metally. "What the…?" I stared at the thing that used to be my hand. "Doc!" I ran screaming down the hall to her lab. Holiday popped her head out of the lab. "Rex, what's up?" Her eyes widened as she stared at the odd looking thing coming out of my arm. "Weird things keep coming out of my body. I have to concentrate real hard not to make them." I tell her as I tried to return my hand back to normal. Then something grew out of my stomach and back. I pulled them back in. "Get on the table." She motioned for me to hop on. Doc ran some tests on me. "Nothing seems out of the ordinary." She said puzzled. For a second I blanked out and I saw pizza with pineapples and salmon. Bobo popped out of no where. "Yuk, he is nuts." "Aside from a strange taste in pizza toppings, everything seems normal." "Define normal." Came Bobo's snarky remark. Another metal part grew out of my feet. "Yeesh, when they say you'll have a growth spurt I didn't think it meant machines." Bobo observed. "Shut up!" I said as I rescinded the build. "Wait." Holiday grabbed the golden handcuffs. "I studied this. It's a nanite restrainer. It'll stop you from making your builds." She snapped one cuff around my wrist. Immediately, I felt my nanites … I'm not sure how to describe it but it's like they all took a nap. "Thanks." I said finally able to relax. "But I'm curious what that nanite wanted me to build." "Wait your nanite wanted you to build something?" Holiday blinked at me. Oopps, I forgot to mention the weird nanite Rylander injected me with. I explained what happened to Holiday. I didn't expect her to be so… angry. "Rex! Why didn't you tell me sooner?" She grabbed her scanner and shoved me down on the table. She ran some more tests all the while muttering to herself. After what seemed like forever, she seemed to find what she was looking for. "There it is!" Holiday exclaimed. "But what is it and what does it do?" "I don't know but Rylander said to keep it safe. Incidentally Doc, I want to try to build the machine that I can't get out of my head." "Building it out of your body could potentially kill you." "No, I want to try to build it the old fashion way." Holiday looked at me for a second. "Fine, there's some extra scrap material in the lab." An hour later I had assembled the whole thing using odds and ends including some things I "borrowed" from our rooms. "Is that my electric toothbrush?" Bobo asked. "I hope not because I was using it." I made a mental note to use some powerful mouthwash later. "It's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be." Holiday mused. "All right. Let's see what this does." I flipped the switch. Holiday and Bobo instinctively took a step back. At first nothing happened; then it started humming. Next thing I knew the machine grew some sort of tentacle that hooked into me. I completely blanked out. "Rex!" I heard someone call me. I snapped out of it. I pulled myself from the machine. A door on it slid open and suddenly I was being asphyxiated in this yellow bubble. I felt the building shudder as if something landed on it. I heard more commotion from the outside. The doors slid open and a walking tin can came through. I had enough! With as much strength as I can muster I broke through the bubble. I fell on the floor gasping for air. "Figures I'd build a machine with an attitude." I grumble. "Who are you?" I address the tin can. "Rex? Is that you?" The tin can asked. "What? Does everyone know who I am?" I asked exasperated. "Everyone but you." Bobo remarked. It was then I noticed that Bobo and Doc were literally tied up in black tentacles emanating from the machine. "Hey! Let my friends go!" I yell at the tin can. "Sorry, mijo. I didn't know they were your friends." But before the tin can could do anything, Six jumps out of nowhere and slices the tentacle holding Holiday. He catches her and puts her down. He then went after the tin can. "Hey? What about me?" Bobo asked. Six was about to cut the metal man when he activates a device that blasts Six back. Six slides back and was about to charge him again when I stepped in. "Hold it Six. He seems to know me." I turn to the suit of armor. "Who are you?" "Rex," the man pulled off his helmet." It's me your brother, Caesar."
