AND NEXT IS THE FIFTIETH CHAPTER! YEAH!

anyway onto the part!

"So now all we need to do is find Frost." Bunny said, "And he would be-"

"At the Pole!" North shouted cutting him off.

"You sure mate?" Bunny asked.

"Of course!" North said, "It says 'go back to the beginning where everything came to be.' Hunt started at the Pole so he is at Pole! And more specifically the Globe Room!"

Sandy raised an eyebrow and gestured to his belly.

"Of course." North said not really paying attention. In truth he wasn't listening to his belly, he just wanted to find Jack. If he listened to his belly it would have told him he was wrong. North opened up a portal to the Globe Room.

"I don't think so mate." Bunny mumbled but North ignored him and they all went through the portal.

When they got there they expected to see a grinning Jack. But they were met with nothing. Everything was the same as it had been left and Jack was nowhere to be found.

"He's not here?" Tooth questioned as she looked in the rafters, "North I thought you said he would be here."

"Looks like your belly was wrong mate." Bunny chuckled.

North blushed, "I-ah wasn't really listening to belly."

"Well does anyone have a clue to where the place 'everything came to be' is?" Tooth asked. The all sat in silence until Bunny spoke up.

"The lake? It's where he became a Guardian." He suggested. Sandy gave a thumbs up showing he thought the same thing.

"That is a good point." Tooth said, "I mean if he hadn't become a Guardian, we wouldn't be doing this right now."

"Burgess Lake it is!" North shouted, opening another portal and Bunny groaning at the sight of it. He has gone through too many of these in the little amount of time they spent looking for the winter spirit.

When they came out on to the shore of the endlessly frozen lake, as it was usually frozen all year and the ice would only thin or thicken, they were greeted with laugher.

"I was wondering when you'd get here!" Turning towards the voice they found Jack resting on the branch of a tree.

"Frost! Get your butt over here!" Bunny shouted. Jack sighed but came over anyway.

"Now I'm sure you have many questions so I will answer them one a time ok?" Jack said.

"Why did you do this?" Tooth asked.

"I was bored." Jack answered.

"Why couldn't we find you?" North asked.

"When I don't want to be found, I won't be found." Jack said with a smirk, "That and I got help from Phil." At that North silently cursed.

"How'd you get into the Warren?" Bunny growled.

"It wasn't that hard." Jack answered with a shrug, "You just need to find a tunnel."

Sandy decided enough of the silly questions and asked, "What did you mean by hearing a whisper or not remembering the reasons for the riddles?"

At this Jack froze. Then turning his eyes to the ground he whispered out, "I mean just that. I hear a whisper and I wouldn't even remember why that place was brought up or why I thought of those words for the riddles. Those places slipped my mind until I heard it whispered."

"Was it Pitch?" Tooth asked.

"I-I don't know." Jack said as he furrowed his eyebrows, "I don't think so, though. It didn't sound like him. It sounded like..." He trailed off.

"It sounded like who or what Jack?" North asked.

"I-It sounded like…like," Jack tried to answer but he came up blank and the more he tried to remember the more his head hurt, "I don't remember."

"What do you mean you don't remember?!" Bunny shouted.

"I mean I don't remember!" Jack shot back in defense, "I don't remember! Ok? It's not the end of the world! It was probably nothing!"

"We're just worried Jack." Tooth said gently.

Jack sighed, anger fading, "I know. It's just if I try to remember I just get a blank."

"It's ok, you might remember later or it was just your subconscious." Tooth said with a smile.

"Yeah," Jack said smiling back, "And you know cottontail, you might want better defense for the Warren. I got in way too easily. Are you that defenseless?"

"Why you little.." Bunny shouted and started chasing Jack. The other Guardians watched the two run around, trying to stop their laugher. All the worries forget now.
