Me: Hey everyone! last chapter of Recovery and I'd like to welcome Jack!
Jack: Hey everyone! Day do you have to torture me?
Me: Yes. And if you're referring to the death it must be done. OK ok. Anywho Yay I'm fixing Jack in this chapter! I even put Jamie in it!
Jack: Let's get on with the chapter so everyone can see my awesomeness in it.
Me: While I agree with that statement I don't really know if it's shown in this one but like Jackie said! Onto the chapter!
Jack: Jackie?
Me: It's what I like to call you ok?
Jack: Ok?
Me: good. Now again onto the chapter!
It's been a few days since Jack had regained his memories, hope, dreams, and wonder. Now he was focusing on regaining back his center. He stayed at the Pole for the first two days causing mischief. He had made an igloo in North's office and froze the elves to the ground in the globe room, icing the floor to make an ice-skating obstacle course. He also messed around with the yetis but soon he got bored and left. Then he went and bugged Bunny for a little until he was shooed away since the Easter Spirit had to paint eggs.
Now he was hanging around Burgess, thankfully it was still winter, debating whether or not he should check on Jamie. The Guardians had explained how he had been gone for three years so Jamie would be 14 by now, the same age as Jack physically. While he knew there were some kids who still believed at this age he didn't know if Jamie would believe in him. Taking a deep breath he decided.
Jack flew to Jamie's window and peered inside. He saw the boy reading on his bed. Hesitantly, Jack tapped on the window. Jamie looked up at the window and at first Jack was sure Jamie wouldn't see him. But then a large grin grew upon his face and he rushed to the window. Opening it, Jamie screamed, "Jack!"
The boy pulled Jack into his room and gave him a hug. Jack was frozen in shock until finally he, though hesitantly, hug Jamie back. The hugged for a few minutes until Jamie tried to pull away saying, "Jack, I'm getting cold."
Jack instantly let go, "Sorry I just…I forgot and…yeah." He trailed off.
"Jack where have you been! Bunny said you were kidnapped and you were gone for three years! What happened to you?!" Jamie exclaimed. Jack took this time to notice how Jamie's grown. The boy was as tall as Jack!
"You grew." Jack pointed out, "It seems I've missed a lot."
"Yes you have now explain." Jamie demanded.
"You're not my mom. Why should I tell you?" Jack asked.
Jamie frowned, "Jack I was worried about you."
Jack sighed and sat on the bed, "Sorry about that kiddo. I didn't mean to make you worried."
"Well you did." Jamie said, "Now tell me what happened."
"Are you sure you want to know?" Jack asked. He really didn't want to tell the boy what happened.
"Jack I'm 14 now. If I helped fight the Boogieman when I was ten I think you can tell me what happened to you."
"Yeah you have matured. And now you're as tall as me now. It's not far."
"Jack. Stop trying to change the subject."
"Alright, Alright." Jack finally gave in, "I don't really know what happened to be honest. One moment I'm sleeping, next I'm in a dark cell with a never ending cycle. Sleep, pain, wake. Sleep, pain, wake. It never ended. Then one day, when the pain happened it didn't last as long as usual when it stopped. I awoke to see a shadowy figure talking to the Lady that held me. I couldn't tell who the person was. I saw them approach where I was until I blacked out. The next time I awoke I was somewhere cold looking up at a woman in green and black. She told me to sleep and I did. Then I awoke at the Pole, which was about a week and a half ago."
"Why didn't you visit after you woke up?" Jamie asked.
Jack smiled nervously, "Because I wasn't really myself."
"What?" Jamie was confused.
"You see the woman who captured me got power from childhood instead of belief or fear. What she did was take away my hope, dreams, wonder, and memories. She even took away fun from me. And the fact that I was malnourished from the lack of food I was given." Jack explained, "The Guardians spent the week and a half to bring back my belief."
"You have belief?" Jamie asked in awe.
"Yup! Turns out I power the Guardians like you and any other child that believes." Jack explained.
"Cool!" Jamie exclaimed.
"Yeah! Hey, how 'bout you and me go have some fun?" Jack asked, the mischievous light in his blue eyes.
"Alright! I'll meet you outside!" Jamie said as he watched Jack leave through the window. When Jamie come out the two began to have a snowball fight, also achieving in getting other kids to join, that eventually led to a wild sled ride.
This shows that no matter how dark and horrible the past, you can always gain a better future. All you need to do is hope.
Me: *laughing like a mad man*
Jack: Why are you laughing?
Me: Because of the final thing! A better future? In this story? HA! You might get good endings but so far most of these stories in this is drama/ hurt/comfort. Maybe even tragedy
Jack: ok?
Me: I think I could've done better. I'm not use to writing Jamie.
Jack: What was that about an igloo.
Me: Oh yeah that. Someone mentioned an igloo in the reviews but it's 3:00 at night so I'm just going to say thanks to the person because it's too late right now to look for a name. Sorry person!
Jack: Ok? You're weird and I think tired so I'm going to go have some fun while you do what ever it is DayLightDoves do.
Me: Pecano! Do you like Walfales? yeah I like walfals! do you like pancakes? yeah i like pancakes! do you like french toast? yeah I like french toast! do do do can't wait to get a mouth full!
Jack: bye *leaves*
Me: Cat I'm a kitty cat! No I'm a puppy! No I'm tired!
Feel free to review and etc.
Until next time! :D
