Ok so I have a few things to say.
1) I know I said the Jokul one would be chapter 50 but I changed it because I did not realize how long my transition to it would be.
2) Thank you for all the suggestions. Do not worry they will all be fit in there to go with the flowing pattern. I even plan on getting the Broken staff and another suggestion given by Nikki Pond in before Jokul. Then you will just wait for them but they will appear. I have a sticky note and it says all suggestions given.
3) Thank you all who supported this for Pitch. I even thank those who didn't. In fact I thank all of you who answered back in whatever chapter they were asked in!
Anyway onto the chapter!
After Jack recovered from the miss treatment he received from the Lad, he had asked North who found him? North told him that he was brought to him by Mother Nature so Jack decided to somehow get a message to her and thank her. That was until the wind told him that it wasn't Mother Nature that found him, but Pitch?!
"I guess I'll go thank him then." Jack sighed. He decided he wouldn't tell the Guardians because he didn't know how they would react. So Jack took off towards Burgess and stared down at the hole under the bed. Taking a deep breath, Jack jumped down.
"Pitch?" Jack called out, "Pitch are you here?"
"I see you've recovered nicely." Pitch said appearing before Jack. "You look as good as new."
"Er…yeah about that." Jack said looking away and rubbing the back of his head, "I wanted to say…t-thanks."
"For what?" Pitch asked, but he already knew what.
Jack didn't look up, "For…For finding me and saving me. The wind told me that it was you who found me and…yeah."
Pitch looked at him for a few seconds before saying, "Your welcome."
Jack nodded and was about to take off when Pitch suddenly called out, "Jack, wait."
Jack froze and turned slowly towards Pitch, "Yes?"
Pitch sighed. 'Might as well tell him while he's here.' "There's something you need to know."
Jack raised an eyebrow in suspicion, "And what is it?"
"You could possibly be one of the most powerful spirits alive."
"What? How could I be that?"
"Because you died and were technically born again. You have parents in this life and they are the most powerful spirits' alive."
"My parents were mortal."
"When you were mortal yes but you were brought back. They gave you new life so they are technically you're parents."
"And who are they?"
Pitch hesitated, "Mother Nature-"
"Well that's obvious." Jack said cutting him off, "She's the Mother of all the seasonal spirits."
"But you're different." Pitch continued, "Those spirits were made from the Earth not humans. No she came together with the Man in the Moon to bring you back. This makes you the child of the moon and earth…
"And my grandson."
Silence hung in the air. The tension was so think it could have been tangible. Then finally, the silence was broken.
"WHAT?!" Jack screamed, "The Mother Nature and MiM stuff I could believe but you being my grandfather!? No! Just NO!"
"While you may not believe me I can assure you that it's true. For Mother Nature is my daughter. If you don't believe me ask the wind." At this Jack was shocked. The wind knew? The wind swirled around Jack whispering in its language to him. "It's true. I was there when Mother and MiM made you. And Mother told me about her father. How he is Pitch."
Jack couldn't believe it. This was just too much. He fell down to knees, staring unblinkingly forward.
"I understand how you feel right now. When Emily, Mother Nature, informed me after the Easter attack I was quite surprised."
Pitch paced around his globe, glaring at all the shinning lights.
"Curse those Guardians." Pitch hissed, "And curse Jack Frost. I shall have my revenge upon you."
"You shall do no such thing." A voice echoed throughout his lair. Mother Nature appeared before Pitch, glaring down at him.
"Ah. My darling daughter. What brings you here?" Pitch asked.
"The wind had informed me about what you did to Frost. How you broke his staff, his connection to the wind. She informed me on how you had planned to be rid of him. I just happened to come in when you wished revenge upon him. I shall tell you again, you shall not harm my child." Mother Nature said.
"You never warned me against your children before, why now?" Pitch asked.
"The others were created from my power and the Earth. Jack is my child in this new life. I and another gave him the life of his immortality making him my child and MiM's." Mother Nature informed.
"He cannot be your child his parents where human." Pitch said.
"As I said," Mother Nature explained, "In his mortal life yes but it took both MiM and I to give this child his breath in this life. If we gave him life then he is our child and your grandchild."
"You must be joking." Pitch said with a smirk and a raised eyebrow.
"I am not." Mother Nature said, "You had tried to be rid of your grandchild. And now I tell you, you shall not kill him nor harm him."
Pitch wasn't listening. He had a grandchild?! That he almost killed?! This wasn't possible! As Pitch took a few breaths to calm down he began to think. It did make some sense for the child was of the cold and what goes together better than cold and dark?
Eventually, Mother Nature left, leaving Pitch to his musings.
"If you are truly my 'grandfather', why did you try to turn me to Jokul? Why did you make me suffer nightmares?" Jack asked.
"I wanted you by my side. I wanted us to rule together but that was a horrible decision." Pitch shuddered at the memory of the ice cutting through his neck. "And the other was that I was angry."
Jack took a few deep breaths. At first he didn't believe a word Pitch said but the wind would never lie to him. "I-I believe you."
Pitch grinned, "That's good."
"I-I should go now." Jack said, "The…The Guardians are probably worried." With that he took off. A few days later Jack visited Pitch once again and as the days grew on they grew closer. Pitch began to help Jack with his magic and in return Pitch gained belief. It was one child with a white-gold light. Jack believed in Pitch.
But as those days grew on something was happening to Jack. It began one day after Jack had visited Pitch and was sitting in his room at the Pole.
'They'll reject you.'
Jack jumped at the voice.
'They'll reject you. Think you're a danger to the children. You're nothing but cold and darkness. You're nothing but death and harm. You're the enemy's grandchild!'
'Shut up. I'm none of that. I am a Guardian, even if I hang out with Pitch.'
'You're a traitor. You are nothing but a powerful tool. Pitch could be lying to you. Using you for power just like the Guardians and the Lady did. You're nothing but cold and death."
'Shut up!'
'You bring nothing but cold and death. You bring nothing but pain to others. You should just stop everything before you're hurt more. You can defend yourself from the truth!'
'Shut up! Shut up!'
'Cold and death. Pain and betrayal. You are nothing in this world but cold and death. Nothing to the others they will leave you. Just watch. Cold and death."
As the voice faded out Jack was left clutching his head. Over in a mirror, where his reflection could be seen, it changed in the mirror for a second before becoming Jack once more.
OK so that was that. I actually looked up Mother Nature's name.
Can any of you guess who the bold id yet? It will pop in I think every chapter until the big event that is after the death!
Anyway feel free to comment, suggest, ask questions, etc.
Until next time! :D
