Me: Because! Now you shush. Onto the chapter!

Mrs. Bennett was sure her children were crazy. Ever since four years ago, Jamie and Sophie continuously talked about those foolish myths, mainly the one known as Jack Frost. She went along with it when they were children but Jamie was now 14 and she questioned his sanity.

But then, one winter evening, she saw. She was watching Jamie and Sophie have a snow ball fight, them always aiming for open air instead of each other, when suddenly the two were covered in snow that fell from…nowhere. There was clear open sky above her children. Then how did they get drenched in snow?

She heard her children yelling at "Jack" for cheating but she didn't see anyone. But then there it was. A flicker of someone standing there. It was only a second but she saw what looked to be a teen of white and blue with a shepherd's staff.

"What?" She said cleaning her glasses and rubbing her eyes. Was she imagining things? No there was a teen standing there and her children were looking right at him. Then it happened. Suddenly a very pale teen with white hair, blue eyes, and a shepherd's staff was standing there, laughing and playing with her children. Gasping, she stood up and ran over too where her children and the teen were playing.

"W-Who are you?!" She exclaimed. The three turned to her as she approached.

"You can see me?" Jack asked in awe.

"That doesn't answer my question! Who are you?" At this Jamie and Sophie laughed.

"He's Jack Frost. You must know that if you can see him." Jamie laughed.

"Yeah! He makes the snow!" Sophie exclaimed.

"That's impossible." Mrs. Bennett stated, shaking her head.

"How can you say that when he's standing right there?!" Jamie exclaimed.

"What I see is a poor, pale teen in with no shoes and light clothing playing in the snow. He looks like he needs to warm up before he freezes. Where are your parents?" Mrs. Bennett exclaimed. This poor boy!

Jack chuckled, "I don't have…parents and the cold doesn't bother me."

"How can you say that?!"

"He's Jack Frost!" Jamie said with a smile.

"Maybe you need a little more proof." With that said, Jack slammed the butt of his staff to the ground and they watched as frost spread from the staff.

"How?" Mrs. Bennett couldn't grasp this.

"You always were one who looked more to science then belief. Even if it happens in front of your own eyes. I bet you can only see me because you believed your kids were playing with someone named Jack." Jack said.

"How did you know that?" Mrs. Bennett asked.

"I've been around for 304 years. I can remember you from when you were little." Jack said.

"I always thought you were just a saying."

"Nope! Spirit of Winter and Guardian of Fun at your service." Jack said this with a mock bow.

"Does this mean you're all real?"

"Yup! The Tooth Fairy, The Sandman, The Easter Bunny, and Santa are all real! Even some of the other myths but I'm just naming the Guardians who your son and his friends helped save four years ago."

Mrs. Bennett was rendered speechless as she watched the children begin playing again. Soon Jack had to leave as it was still winter but he would always visit. By the next winter Mrs. Bennett had already warmed up to the winter spirit and even began treating him like her own children, telling him to be safe as he flew over the world. Then one day she stopped him from leaving when her children went inside.

"Are you alright?" She asked. The poor spirit looked like he hasn't had a good night sleep in months. He had bags under his eyes and he looked like he was constantly fighting or straining against something, but he still wore a smile even if it was obviously as fragile as glass.

"Of course. Why?"

"You look so tired. Have you been sleeping?"

"Yes."

"Has it been restful?"

Jack hesitated, "…yes."

"Jack-"

"I'm fine trust me."

"I don't want you getting hurt out there. Jamie and Sophie would be heart broken."

"Don't worry I've just been busy. It is winter."

"…Alright but be careful."

"I will!" With that he took off. As Mrs. Bennett watched him leave, she couldn't help but feel that something bad was going to happen.

Was that good? I don't know.
