Here we go! It's the broken staff arc which should have three parts to it! Whoo hoo!

So let's go onto the chapter!

Over the past few days during winter the Guardians had seen neither hide nor hair of Jack but they certainly heard of his work. Instead of simple snow days and soft snow falls, there had been constant blizzards with the occasional break in between. This stumped the Guardians so they decided they would call Jack to the Pole and make him take a break.

It was the right thing to do, they decided. For when Jack finally arrived at their meeting, they all saw how tired the boy was. He had very dark bags under his dull blue eyes. He slouched upon his staff where he stood and he seemed as if he wasn't aware of his surroundings.

"Jack, are you alright?" Tooth asked flying up to him.

Jack blinked, "Hm?...oh yeah. I-I'm just tired." Tooth pushed Jack down onto the the window ledge and as his reflection caught in the window, the other Guardians swore they saw his skin, eyes, and hair another color. And instead of the tired smile was a sinister one with pointed teeth. But once they blinked, it was gone.

"Well," North said breaking the tense silence. "That is why we called you here."

"What?" Jack asked confused.

"We want you to take a break, Sweet Tooth. From all the blizzards." Tooth said sweetly.

"Why? I'm just doing my job." Jack stated firmly.

"Frostbite, you need to take a break. I'm not just saying this for the poor families out there that are suffering and dying from the constant blizzards, but for you as well." Bunny said, "You don't look well Snowflake. The blizzards are acting like a double edged blade. While it takes a toll on the people with sickness and the cold, it's taking a toll on you as well."

"I don't need to take a break." Jack snapped.

"Yes you do." Bunny responded, "And we are going to make sure you do. Sandy." The dream-weaver got some dream sand ready and when Jack saw it, he freaked out.

"NO!" He shouted, wide eye's on the sand, "Don't put me to sleep! Please! Just don't!"

The Guardians all stared in shock at the Guardian of Fun. He had by then sprang up from his seat and flew to the other side of the room, staff up in a defensive stance.

"Listen Frostbite," Bunny said taking a small step towards Jack only for him to back away, "Look we aren't going to harm you. You're tired and we just want to help."

Behind them Tooth whispered to Sandy and North, "Do you think Pitch is up to something?"

"Possibly." North whispered back. "Could be why he doesn't wish to sleep."

A sudden shout directed their attention to Bunny and Jack. There was ice on the floor where Bunny had been standing and Jack was now flying in the air. They watched as Bunny ran toward Jack and jumped, tackling Jack. Sandy caught them on a dream-sand cloud and when they all went over to it they found Sandy didn't catch everything.

Bunny was sitting on top on Jack and pining his arms to the cloud. But Jack's staff was nowhere to be seen. Jack must have lost his grip when he was tackled by Bunny.

Flying over to the edge that Jack had been flying over, Tooth looked down at the factory hoping to find the fragile shepherd's crook. Then they heard it. There was a snap of wood down below, a grunt of a yeti, and a pained filled scream from Jack.

Hearing the scream, Tooth rushed back over to Jack and they all watched as Jack thrashed in Bunny's grip. The Guardian of Hope let him go and they watched as Jack's eyes clenched shut and he curled up on his side, whimpering and clutching his chest.
