Here we go! Next chapter!
I only updated this because I was promised a cookie! I swear once I saw that in the review I tried so hard to resist and go work on a different story but I couldn't! The cookie was calling to me! I better get a cookie!
Anyway onto the chapter!
The yetis eventually found the frozen Guardians and brought them to the Pole. It took about an hour, but the now unfrozen Guardians were huddled in front of the fire place.
"We have to stop him somehow." Tooth said.
"Yes but how?" North asked.
"Sandy has an idea." Bunny spoke up. "Since Ja-Jokul is going to come after us then we could try to ambush him when he comes and Sandy could knock him out again like last."
"Are you sure it will work?" North asked.
"It's worth a try." Bunny said, "What better way to try to catch him then with his own torment plan?"
"Ok then who do you believe he'd go after first?" North asked. Jokul was mysterious and tended to mix up the people to torment if there were more than one.
"I think he'll go after Bunny first." Tooth said, "He was the one who was the final touch to get Jack back last time. Then you attack him first this time, I think you have a pretty good chance of being first."
Bunny snorted in response but he knew it was true. That was proven with how Jokul got in his face when he was threatening them.
Turning to the Globe and monitors. They watched as snowstorms rose in every area that was either in a snowy climate or in the winter season. They knew that anyone who believed in Jack would soon grow afraid of him and that was a sad thought. They knew Jack wanted to be believed in, not feared.
When they finished warming up, they desided they'd all stay at the Pole and not take any unnecessary risks.
It was a day later when they saw it. Bunny was painting eggs in the lounge when he heard the crackling of frost. His head shot up and he watched as it spread on one of the corners in the room. Seeing it he instantly informed the others who, when saw the frost, had worry clear on their faces.
The next day the Guardians were eating in the kitchen when they heard it. The chilling laughter that only belonged to Jokul Frosti rang in the air. Throughout the day they could hear his taunts and laughter. They'd even sometimes hear him humming a creepy tone or singing disturbing songs.
Needless to say they didn't sleep that night.
Then the next day they would see him. They'd watch him appear in windows before vanishing. Appearing in halls or behind them. He always wore a chilling smile that would even send Pitch running. He would sometimes hum a song or laugh to catch their attention. When this happened they knew there was only one more thing before the attacks started and they make their move.
The next three days were subtle. First the frost began growing closer to Bunny and would even appear on him. Then he started getting poked or the ghost of claws would go across his arms and neck. Then scratches actually started appearing, so they knew it was time to do the plan.
On the seventh day Bunny sat alone in the globe room and, just as they predicted, Jokul appeared.
"Oh I've been waiting for this~!" Jokul sang as he began to circle Bunny.
Bunny smirked, "So have we."
Jokul raised an eyebrow but his smile never left. "What do you mean? Are you saying the others want you on your death bed?"
"That's what you think but no." Bunny answered his smirk never leaving. He watched as Jokul paused for a moment and he knew it was, "Now!"
The other three Guardians appeared and surrounded Jokul. North, who had covered all of his skin but his head, ran forward and tried to catch Jokul. Jokul just smiled wacked him in the face with his staff, leaving a raw red scratch. He lept over them all and shot ice spikes at them. The dodged most of the spikes though.
"Did you really think that could work?" Jokul laughed, "Again?! HA! No way would I let you hurt me again. Besides this isn't fair. You're cheating~!"
Sandy narrowed his eyes and shot out a sand whip. It slid across Jokul's eyes, but not injuring but leaving sand to put him to sleep. At first the Guardians were sure they had him when Jokul closed his eyes and started swaying. North went to go catch him but that thought was dismissed when they saw ice once more crawling up the whip once more. While that distracted them, Jokul grinned and swung his staff/scythe. It throw the Guardians to the wall, a gash on each of them from the scythe, and frigged ice stuck them there, burning the skin with it's cold
"You really thought that'd work?! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Jokul exclaimed has his hand flew up to his eyes and began to peel something off of it. That's when the Guardians saw the frozen dream-sand. Once it was off and sitting in his hand Jokul opened is white eyes.
"You are so much fun to play with now, even if your games are old." Jokul said. He walked over to Tooth, who was on the end of the wall, and he smiled his nasty smile before dragging his claws across her stomach and keeps walking doing a straight line from her, across Sandy and North, to Bunny. Looking at the blood that covered his claws, he licked each finger.
"You know I must thank you for saving me the time from finding you all." Jokul giggled. He backed away and prepared what to do next when shadows suddenly filled the room, plunging it into darkness. When it cleared up, Jokul was met with an empty wall and the Guardians missing. Jokul growled in anger and slashed his claws leaving marks in the wall.
Spotting something on the floor, Jokul picked up the colorful feather and grinned.
"Until we play again, Guardians." With that he left the Pole, leaving his chilling laughter in the air.
I liked writing this chapter for some odd reason.
