Here we go! Next chapter!
Yay special chapter!
I don't own ROTG.
Anyway onto the chapter!
I, Jack's sister, never left my brother's side. I was so happy when I saw him open up to the Guardians and tell them about what happened that Easter and when he told them he died and how he cut. I was happy to know that Jack still had a light upon that Globe. What scared me was what he was before; that his soul came from a murderous spirit known as Jokul Frosti.
My heart could have broken when I watched my brother try to avoid celebrating the holidays in fear of ruining them but when the Guardians helped my brother past that I smiled. I was upset when my brother didn't seek out help when he was effected by global warming but once again the Guardians were there to help.
But then tragedy struck. When that rabbit had punched my brother I had wanted to instantly wanted to skin him but then Pitch broke in and turned my brother into a terrifying being. His stormy eyes and icy skin. His claws and sharp teeth and dark hair. That staff that saved my life turned into an instrument of death. I was terrified. And if I thought it couldn't get any worse, he had killed Pitch with the staff that saved my life. I felt sick as I watched him fight and taunt the Guardians and my anger towards the Easter Bunny had vanished. I had clutched my hands over my ears to block out the sounds of his screams when Jack began to fight against Jokul's power. And while I smiled at the return of him it fell when I heard what carried in the wind.
When he was cursed with nightmares for revenge from Pitch, the wind and I would try to comfort him but it didn't do much. It was such a relief when the others finally got around to helping my brother. Then they found out about his other job. Yes I knew about his job of working for death but it's not like I could have done anything. I was glad they let my brother explain and even told him they forgave him.
And I swear my brother just attracts trouble for the next thing I know is that he's a fox. While I admit he's adorable as a fox and it fits his personality I'd rather see him as a human spirit. And when he does turn back it was funny to see he still acted somewhat like a fox.
I would have, somehow, killed my brother if he ended up killing himself when he held back that rock slide. Thankfully Bunny was able to talk some sense into him. Then I watched the fireworks with the group. I had notice Pitch a little ways over and it surprised me when Jack tried to get him to come over. Why? Did he forgive Pitch for all his troubles? Perhaps for my brother was always like that. But I didn't get an answer since the shade did not come over.
Then I watched as Jack grew bored and knocked out the Guardians and created this elaborate hunt for him. It was very entertaining to watch since that was the only time I left Jack's side to watch each of the Guardians. It was fun to watch them run around trying to find him. Of course my worries spiked when Jack talked about hearing a whisper.
Then he gave himself up to save all those children. I was there as The Lady feed on his childhood and center. I was there trying to give him comfort as he was plagued with nightmares and the never ending sequence. But who knew that my brother's savior would be the Nightmare King. I watched as Mother Nature brought him to Santa and he called upon the other Guardians. But I also watched as Jack's eyes opened. Those were not my brother's eyes. Jack's eyes were full of curiosity, fun, and mischief. His eyes were full of wonder, hope, and dreams. These eyes were so cold and blank. These eyes were that of a broken child, not my brother.
I sat there and watched as the days passed and he sat there without a hint of his old self. I was losing hope but then Bunny came in and renewed that hope for both me and Jack. Then Jack slowly began to get better and he slowly regained his dreams, wonder, and memories. Then he became himself again and I rejoiced. I can't believe I had lost hope for my brother when I knew he would've bounced back. He always did, no does.
Then he visits Pitch and I did not see this information coming. Who knew that my brother would still have a literal family as a spirit? And more surprising is that it's Pitch! Out of all the spirits it's Pitch being his grandfather! It's shocking! And while I didn't agree to keep the fact a secret from the Guardians I understood his reasons. I watched as Jack and Pitch trained their powers and how my brother's belief began to grow in Pitch.
But I knew there was something wrong with Jack. He looked like death and had nightmares every night. When he was seen by Jamie's mother I was happy for him but it did not affect his health. Then he started with the continuous blizzards and I knew something was wrong especially when he didn't look sad after each one.
Then his staff broke and he looked to be in a great deal of pain and I just wanted to be able to comfort him. Thankfully Sandy was there to get rid of his nightmare. It looked to be painful. Then he fixed his staff and I was once again happy. Of course that didn't last long for when he found out Jamie died, I lost my brother once more to the monstrous Jokul Frosti.
"What the? Where am I?" I turned towards the voice to find a 15 year old Jamie looking around my cloud.
"Hello Jamie!" I greet him. He turns to me with a confused expression.
"Who are you? And where are we?" Jamie asks again.
"Well I'm Miss. Overland and you are dead. Technically an angel but whatever." I answered, "Oh and you're on my cloud so you must be here to watch over Jack with me."
"Jack? Do you mean Jack Frost?" I nod. "Cool so are you like his Guardian angel?"
"Yeah I took that as my job since I am his little sister." I say, "Well now if we met I would taller but you get it right?"
"Yeah." He said, "You were younger when he wasn't a spirit. But he would still be older if you think about how long he was alive for."
"You know his past?"
"Of course. We're best friends." Jamie said. I watched him look over the cloud and gasp. "Oh no."
"Yeah," I sighed, "When you died he lost it. I want to help him but…"
"But what?" He pressed.
"But he can't see or hear us. It's like how you have to believe in the spirits to see them but that doesn't work for us. Maybe we can give signs but otherwise we can do nothing."
We sat in silence when suddenly the moon glowed from overhead.
"Manny?" Jamie whispered.
"You two believe you can't do anything but you can. Stay close to the Guardians for when the start their plan you to will be important. Here's what I want you to do."
We listened to the plan and agreed. If this can help get my brother back then it would be stupid to decline.
It was time to get my brother back.
That was that. See you saw Jamie and Jackie's sister.
So feel free to comment, suggest, etc.
Until next time! :D
