Here we go! Next chapter!
Pitch: You've been gone awhile.
Me: Well I started school. I am a busy person this year!
Pitch: *roles eyes*
Me: You gave me an interesting dream last night. I was a vampire!...I think!
Pitch: That wasn't me. But I did try to come and give you a nightmare.
Me: Hurtful. But that must have been when it turned stormy in my dream. But otherwise it wasn't nightmare-y. Either you suck at you job or Sandy came back.
Pitch: I'm done talking with you now.
Me: Fine. I don't own ROTG.
Onto the chapter!
Jokul smiled as he watched all those who shivered and froze in his blizzard. For the past ten days since he's been back, he's caused a multitude of strong and deadly storms, and his power only increased from the all the fear. Especially the fear of Jack Frost. Who knew an immortal child's fear would be so strong and energizing?!
Jokul laughed as he took to the sky. He wanted to find those pesky Guardians already. It was the only thing that slightly dampened his mood for he couldn't find them anywhere! Oh well, he'll find them eventually.
He was currently flying over a desert as he headed to the next destination for a blizzard when vines suddenly shot out of the grown, wrapped around his wrists and ankles, and pulled him to the sand. The shepherd's staff, now free of the icy look, lay about a foot away from where he was restrained. Jokul rolled his eyes and was prepared to just freeze the vines when suddenly a heat wave came upon him and thorns came from the vines and dug into his wrists and ankles.
"I'm surprised to find you here Nature." He cackled craning his neck to look to where she stood. "But you must know I care little for pain. Why are you here though? Because I have storms to spread."
The vines tightened, digging what should have been painfully into him but Jokul didn't even hiss in pain, and Nature glare. "You will not be going anywhere."
"Oh but I think I will." With that ice began to spread up the vines but the heat increased even more just around the winter spirit causing the ice to melt and Jokul to a light gasp.
"So it appears the sadistic monster does have a weak spot." Jokul turned to find the Guardians and Pitch standing a few feet away.
"Well look at that." Jokul said as his grin grew. "Just the spirits I've been looking for!" With that a wave of cold air shot out pushing everyone away and Jokul broke free of the vines, blood dripping from the wounds on his wrists and ankles. He went for the staff but the wind blew it into Mother Nature's hands.
"Now wind," Jokul cooed menacingly, "who do you work for?"
"The wind works for no one." Nature replied. Then she spoke to the wind, "Go and wait. I'll inform you when our winter child has returned." With that the wind left, knowing to not go against Mother Nature's wishes and in hopes of getting her special snowflake back.
Jokul growled at the absent of the wind. "Fine I'll deal with all of you myself." With that a scythe of ice formed in his hands.
Pitch cocked an eyebrow, "Does he not notice he's in the middle of the desert, outnumbered, and that Mother Nature's here? I must say you are either foolishly over confident or just an idiot."
Jokul just glared and with a wicked smile sent a wave of ice at each of them. They dodged the slightly weakened ice and nodded to each other. Pitch raised his arms and shadows formed around the crazed winter spirit, blinding his vision. He began whipping around in anger when he felt random attacks each time he tried to break out of the cocoon of nightmare-sand and shadows. Then the heat began to rise once more around him as it slowly drained him of his energy and he began to droop to the ground.
When the cocoon left the Guardians, Pitch, and Mother Nature were met with Jokul kneeling on the grown and panting. He had bruises and small scratches from the little attacks added on his skin with the wounds already on his ankles and wrists. They all then approached and Jokul glared at them. He sent out his ice magic but it did nothing but make frost form under him and very small spikes the melted instantly from the heat that was compressed around him.
"Now Sanderson." Nature said as she focused on keeping the air around Jokul the heated temperature. Sandy nodded and walked closer to the panting spirit and then knelt in front of him. Sandy looked into the swirling white storms of Jokul's eyes hoping for the blue to peek out from underneath. But it didn't so Sandy gave a small smile and touched his fingers to Jokul's temples, sanding in dream-sand in hopes of it reaching Jack in there. Jokul gave a grunt of pain and a small flinch when his mind was invaded.
Standing around them the other's hoped for the best.
Up in the air, a brown haired and eyed girl and boy stood watching the scene. They looked at each other before going down and connecting with the dream-sand that searched for Jack.
It was so dark and cold. Almost like when he was first brought back as a spirit. Almost. It wasn't exactly the same for it wasn't silent. Screams of fear and pain filled the air. Shouts of hurtful and spiteful words added in the horrifying noise. Occasional flashes of children freezing to death or disappointment from others color the inky blackness.
Jack Frost was curled up in a dark corner, knees to his chest, eyes clenched tight but not stopping the tears, and hands clutching over his ears. He was forced to sit alone through these horrors that were filled with the ugly truth. And that was the worst part. He was alone. That by itself proved that what this darkness screeched and showed was true.
Alone.
It must just be his thing. A word that will forever follow him throughout his life. That one word that told all his truths no matter how much he wanted to deny them.
He's alone because he's worthless.
He's alone because he always messes up and makes a mess.
He's alone because he fails at his duties.
He's alone because he's cold.
He's alone because he's death.
He's alone because he's a monster.
It's what he's been told all his life and when he wasn't they must have been lying. This evidence that swirled in the inkiness that was around him was proof of the monster he was.
So Jack sat in the dark and wept.
But then gold lines swirled in the dark and the noise left. Everything turned white and Jack felt a warm hand on his cheek, wiping away his frozen tears.
"Open your eyes Jack."
At the familiar voice Jack opened his eyes to meet two pairs of chocolate brown ones staring sweetly back.
So that was that!
Pitch: Why was Jokul easily taken down?
Me: Because they had your daughter who happens to control nature!
Pitch: But you like Jokul.
Me: I know but that's why he get's to come back in a different story.
Pitch: Will you bring him back in this?
Me: *shrugs* depends I still have to get my order done.
Pitch: Order?
Me: Y'up! I know exactly what order I'm putting the up coming arcs in and the only thing that will interfere will be random one shots!
Pitch: Whatever. Just finish up already It's almost 3:00 a.m.
Me: Picky.
Anyway feel free to comment, suggest, ask questions, etc.
Until next time! :D
