Here's the next chapter!

Ok I have a question. I'm planning on doing a part about the Blizzard of '68 but what I need to know is when. I could either do a random one-shot on it or I can put it in an arc that will be call "Remembering You". It will be an arc about the Guardians meeting Jack as a human. Should I put that in there showing when they, besides tooth, each first met Jack as a spirit as well?

Me: Ok so here's the next chapter.

Pitch: You don't sound happy.

Me: I'm not.

Pitch: *raises eyebrow*

Me: Well one I kill someone in this chapter and two I'm injured. I would like to inform all these lovely readers that I'm updating for several reasons. 1) I'd like to thank "I heart the Hitachiin twins" for a jar of dirt. 2) I haven't updated in a while. 3) I don't know when I'll have the time to update during the week. Besides school I now have to go to physical therapy for my leg so I don't know.

Pitch: That's nice.

Me: So onto the chapter!

Jack grinned at the raging winter spirit in front of him. He began to fight against Jokul's hold and he knew it would cause pain, notifying Jokul. Now said spirit stood before him in the blackness that surrounded them, filled with anger at the other.

"What, you come out of your little hole?" Jokul asked with a chilling smile.

"Yeah I figured it was time to come back." Jack answered confidently.

"Why? All you're going to do is experience pain. I take that away for you." Jokul said. "It's not my fault you can't handle the fact you're a monster, that no one really cares."

Jack rolled his eyes. "If I truly couldn't handle it then I wouldn't have come back, right?"

Jokul chuckled and then, before Jack could react, Jokul ran forward and started choking the child. "And here I thought I was being nice before." Jokul growled.

Jack let out a choked laugh but it was cut off by Jokul squeezing his throat harder. Gritting his teeth, Jack focused his power into his hands and forced Jokul off of him. As the darker spirit flew back and Jack fell to his knees on the ground gasping for air. His attention was brought back when a cry rang out and he saw Jokul running at him with an ice scythe. Reacting quickly, Jack formed an ice version of his staff and rose it in time to block the blade.

Jack rose to his feet, pushing against the other with all the strength he could muster against the currently stronger part. But while he regained his will, Jack could feel Jokul's power weakening and himself gaining in strength. Jokul lifted the scythe and swung once again, Jack just being able to dodge it.

"I should have killed you once you were weakened enough!" Jokul growled, swinging again just to get blocked.

"Well why didn't you!" Jack shouted as he took a chance to swing at Jokul.

"Because I didn't want your goody-fun!" Jokul growled.

"What?" Jack asked confused.

Jokul laughed and stopped swinging his scythe. "Don't tell me you never figured it out. That you're that clueless?" Jack just glared. "HAHAHA! You didn't! You didn't figure it out!"

"What are you talking about!?" Jack snapped, tired of the insane man's riddles.

"I'm only here because I'm what is keeping the darker side of your center away." Jokul answered with a grin.

"Darker side?"

"Well of course! All centers have a darker side! You didn't think that the only fun people had was your type right? No because there are those who find torture and/or blood fun! Those who find screams and moans of pain and fear fun!"

"What does that have to do with you not killing me?!"

"You see since we're two souls in one we could easily kill one another and gain the other's power and add it to our own. But there's a catch. If one of us go, we also embrace all parts of the center of fun. I have the darker half and you have the lighter half. While I could easily kill you and withstand the power of your half, I don't want to risk triggering it and being a goody-two-shoes." Jokul spat out that last part as if the words burned his tongue.

"And who says I can't fight off the darker half?" Jack said narrowing his eyes.

"You can't!" Jokul said laughing, "One little trigger and you'll be craving others' blood and screams. But then again, kill me! Maybe you want to experience the joys of insanity."

"No." Jack said, "I'll defeat you and fight off the insanity."

"That's what you think." With that Jokul ran forward once more with his scythe and swung. Jack dodged but got a cut upon his leg. In return he spun and sent a wave of ice at the other, hitting him in the chest and making him fall on his back. As Jack came over Jokul kicked out and sent the other to the ground and pinned Jack down. Jokul grinned and sent out ice through his hands making spikes slowly sink into the lighter spirit under him. Jack let out a cry of pain at the spikes slowly impaling his arms and stomach.

"Just give up Jack and go crawl back into that corner I made for you."

Jack narrowed his eyes and, through gritted teeth, growled, "No." And with that he lifted his hand and plunged a dagger of ice into Jokul's back.

Letting go of Jack, Jokul looked down at his now bloodied chest and grinned, "You'll never escape the insanity." With that his body broke like ice and the pieces vanished.

Jack took deep breaths. He felt the gain of power and another power in his center but that part he ignored. As he felt himself regain control of his body, Jack felt excruciating pain along with it.

He let out a cry of pain.

They watched as Jokul writhed on the ground, clutching his head. As they watched they looked for any sign of Jack winning, but there wasn't any sign. They were worried when no sign of Jack appeared for a while when suddenly the icy skin began fading and the hair gained some white. Jack was fighting!

But then just as soon as the signs of Jack appeared they began to fade away.

NO!

"Come on frosty!" Bunny shouted. "Fight him!" There was no sign that Jack heard him. They watched as the Jack parts faded when suddenly that stopped and…and the Jokul parts started to fade!

Soon Jokul Frosti was nowhere to be seen and in his place was Jack Frost. They were about to rejoice when suddenly a cry of pain alerted them back to the current situation. Jack was injured.

Springing into action Sandy sprinkled dream-sand upon Jack and the boy fell back into unconsciousness.

"You didn't have to be so hard on him." Bunny grumbled to nature as he looked at all the wounds upon the winter spirits body.

"It was necessary." Nature said. "Go take good care of him." With that she vanished. Pitch looked at Jack before nodding to the Guardians and vanishing as well. North took out a snow-globe and a swirling portal opened. Bunny picked up Jack and the four Guardians entered the portal.

I hope that was ok.
