Here's the next chapter!
Ok I have a question. I'm planning on doing a part about the Blizzard of '68 but what I need to know is when. I could either do a random one-shot on it or I can put it in an arc that will be call "Remembering You". It will be an arc about the Guardians meeting Jack as a human. Should I put that in there showing when they, besides tooth, each first met Jack as a spirit as well?

Me: Yay next chapter! Oh and look it reached ten! good, good.
Pitch: You're tired.
Me: I don't trust you to put me to bed! I was having a lovely dream when suddenly it turned into a horror movie and there was like a dead girl chained underwater, someone trapped in vines, bleeding and a giant shadow creature! Not that I was scared it was just weird and horror movie like.
Pitch: That doesn't change the fact your tired.
Me: I'm not! Now onto the chapter!
With a shout North dodged the ball of fire that was thrown his way.
North had received a call that a town of children was about to be attacked and burned from a forest fire. It wasn't an ordinary fire made by humans. No it was being made by a summer sprite. Why? He honestly didn't know but he knew that he and the other Guardians wouldn't let the children be harmed.
So he had called the others and all but Jack had shown up. But North explained to the others that Jack had arrived earlier that day looking exhausted, so he let the boy sleep while they dealt with the sprite. They could do it. They should be able to handle a simple sprite without Jack's help, right?
Wrong.
When they had gotten to the forest outside the town, there was a fire already starting along with dead, soggy ground from melted snow. Melted snow was everywhere, almost as if this was an early spring, and the fire blazed around.
When asked why he was doing this, the sprite answered it was simply too cold for the people, they needed to feel warmth. He claimed that being surrounded by fire would give them all the heat they want.
Bunny quickly decided that he was insane and attacked, the other's following in suite. But while they out-numbered the sprite, it did not mean they over powered him.
So it leads to where they are now, trying to stop the sprite before he burned the town to ashes while trying not to get hurt. It was not working out so well. The Guardians were positive they would have lost if not a cold, sharp voice rung through the air catching all of their attention.
"What do you think you're doing?" There, floating above them, was Jack but he did not look happy. His glaring eyes were not their usual cheerful, light blue but were instead a dark, chilling blue. His arms were crossed over his chest as he pinned his freezing gaze upon the summer sprite.
"Jack?" Tooth gasped but the winter spirit did not turn to her, in fact it's like he didn't even hear her. His entire attention was on the summer sprite.
"I'm just giving a little warmth to this cold seasoned town." The sprite answered with a grin. This just seemed to make Jack's mood worsen. In a flash he was upon the sprite with his face barely inches from the other's.
"Now listen here," Jack said in a chillingly calm voice. "You do not go and aim to hurt the kids, got that? And you especially don't go around melting my snow and messing with winter!" Jack hissed out. Ice began to slowly and painfully encase the summer sprite. "Not only did you try to hurt the kids but you messed with winter. You can mess with me but you never. Mess. With. Winter!" With a small tap on the sprite's chest, Jack froze him solid.
The Guardian's stared in shock at their youngest. The boy just showed his power by not even breaking a sweat. Note to self; don't get on Jack's bad side.
Speaking of the winter spirit, he had stepped away from the now frozen sprite and was now gazing at the land around him. Before anyone could speak, Jack was up into the air, summoning snow to put out the fire and once again cover the land in the white powder.
When he landed again, Tooth hesitantly called out once more. "…Jack?"
After a second Jack turned to them with a smirk. "Why didn't you guys wake me up? This would have gone much quicker."
"Jack, what did you just do?" North asked. The smirk instantly left Jack's face leaving him with a serious look.
"No one messes with winter." Jack answered looking North right in the eyes.
"Frostbite that doesn't make any sense!" Bunny snapped.
Sandy looked at Jack and signed, "Please elaborate."
Jack took a breath, "The other seasons aren't big fans of winter. But I won't allow them to mess with my season. In a compromise I let them attack me. As long as they don't mess with the season of winter in general, they are free to do as they wish with me, I can take the pain."
"Did you…Did you have to freeze him?" Tooth asked.
Jack looked at the frozen sprite. "No one messes with winter, Tooth. I would have done that anyway, but he also deserved it for getting the children involved."
"Is he dead?"
Silence.
"Oi, she asked you a question!" Bunny growled.
Jack glared. "No he's not dead. Just frozen within mind numbing, cold pain indefinitely. Now if you don't mind I'll be going back to the Pole to get some sleep." With that he was off.
As they Guardians watched him leave, they remembered two things.
Don't be on Jack's bad side and don't mess with winter.
Me: I liked this chapter!
Pitch: Where was the fire fighters or people who would put out the fire?
Me: Busy.
Pitch: Really? They were all busy? Not a single one notice the forest fire?
Me: Stop with the technicalities! Now go away!
Feel free to comment, suggest, etc.
Until next time! :D
