Here's the next chapter!
Me: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Pitch: such a beautiful time of the year.
Me: Yeah! And it snowed today! Also I when as Jack Frost and two people recognized me!
Pitch: What did you go as Jack?
Me: Why not?
Pitch: What ever.
Me: Anyway onto the chapter!
Jack entered Pitch's lair and called out, "Pitch! Are you here?!"
"What do you want child?" Pitch asked as he appeared before Jack. He took one look at Jack's mischievous grin and rephrased his question. "What did you do?"
Jack's grin just widened. "It's not what I did it's what I plan to do. How would you like to help me play a trick on the Guardians for Halloween?"
The grin Jack got in response was enough of an answer.
It was Halloween and Jack had, for some odd reason, called them all to the lake. When they got there the winter spirit was nowhere to be seen.
"He can't even show up for his own meeting." Bunny grumbled, shivering from the cold breeze. "Oi! Frostbite! You here?!"
"Does anyone see him?" Tooth asked.
"No." North answered shaking his head.
"I don't think he's even here." Bunny said.
Sandy looked around then caught sight of movement behind a few bushes. Catching the attention of the others, Sandy and the other three got ready to fight when Jack suddenly appeared from the bushes.
"Oh that MiM you guys are here." Jack breathed out.
"Jack, are you alright?" North asked, stepping forward.
"Yeah I'm fine just…something is happening here. Shadows are appearing and abducting people." Jack said.
"If this is a trick for Halloween, Frostbite, I swear-"
"No trick." Jack quickly responded.
"Is it Pitch?" North asked. Jack shook his head but just when he was about to respond, inky black shadows appeared behind him and enveloped him. With a shout Jack disappeared with the shadows as they sunk into the ground.
"Jack!"
They all rush over to where Jack had been but suddenly the black mass appears behind them and, before they can react, it swallows them up and disappears.
They hit solid ground and when the four eldest Guardians look around, their only met with darkness. There was a cold air around them and they were greatly unsettled. Sandy began to glow, letting the others meet up near him.
"Is everyone alright?" North asked.
"I-I think so-AH!" Tooth let out a cry at the end.
"Tooth, what's wrong?!"
"I-I felt something touch me." She breathed out.
"It was most likely nothi-AH!" Bunny and the others let out their own shouts as they felt, what felt like, cold airy fingers ghosting over their necks. "It might just be Frostbite messing with us."
They then began to turn in their spots while calling out Jack's name, when suddenly, when they faced forward once more, they were met with giant mirrors of dark ice.
Within the ice their reflection was distorted from the cracks and the black hue. They each gasped at their images and took steps back only to run into another wall. In this one there was some sort of demon within the glass. Turning back they saw it sitting there and then it charged. They each gasped, terror flashing upon their faces as they waited to feel the nails or teeth of the demons, when suddenly they felt nothing.
Opening their eyes, not remembering when they closed them, the Guardians noticed that the darkness was gone and that it was lightly snowing above their heads. They also took notice that they were actually in a room at the Pole and that Jack was standing off to the side leaning on his staff, trying to stifle his laughter.
"Y-You got scared good!" Jack laughed.
It took a moment to process what had happened and then Bunny growled, "Why you little-! You better start running Frostbite!"
Jack just laughed and flew out the window. He didn't return the rest of the night and Halloween ended up being snowed upon, Jack didn't care if he got yelled at, but still full of fun for the kids.
Me: I would do that to my friends.
Pitch: You don't scare them by being yourself?
Me: Oh shut up.
