Onto the chapter!

Jack sat silently as he gazed out at his lake. He couldn't help but think about how he was being trained to push the fox instincts down and how he felt it wasn't a good idea anymore. Every time he pushed it down, he felt as if he was adding to a bundle within himself that was waiting to burst. There was also the fact that a tingling feeling was spreading across his skin as if it was trying to change. Jack grimaced as a spike of pain shot up his spin then vanished as if it didn't happen, only leaving a numb tingly sensation. That would happen too. When the tingling upon his limbs and skin would increase as his trying to force something, Jack would push it down and that's when the short spike of pain would hit.

Suddenly his sharp hearing picked up a soft, barely noticeable sound in the air near him. Turning his head, sapphire eyes met with golden brown.

"Hey Sandy." Jack greeted with a forced smile.

Sandy searched Jack's face for a moment before signing a question mark.

"It's nothing Sandy." Jack tried to wave off. The key word is tried as Sandy just gave him a disbelieving look and pressed on.

"Seriously Sandy, I'm fine I-" Jack groaned as the golden man didn't back down. "Alright! It's just I don't think the help is working. For pushing down the fox instincts I mean. It just feels like I'm pushing something down just to let it build until it will burst." He pulled his knees up to his chest with a wince. "And it hurts." The last part was whispered, as if he didn't want Sandy to hear it and more to just get it off his chest, but Sandy heard.

The dream-weaver gazed at the younger spirit, a frown upon his face. He had a thought that this might happen but he mostly thought that Jack would be able to push away the lasting effects of the spell. But that is not the case, apparently. No, apparently, the lasting instincts have a stronger grip upon the boy then thought and tying to ignore this fact has been causing unnecessary pain.

Sandy tapped Jack's shoulder getting his gaze to meet his. "Then don't push it down anymore."

Jack stared at the other with wide eyes. "What?! But we don't know what would happen! What if I get consumed by the instincts!? We've all seen what happens if they surface! What if I-" Jack was cut off by Sandy covering his mouth and forcing him to look into his eyes.

Frantic and worried blue met comforting and warm golden. Jack seemed to relax as their gazes met and Sandy slowly took his hand off the other's mouth.

Jack took a deep breath. "Ok, what do I do?"

"Stop trying to force it away. Accept it as a part of you."

Jack gazed into those eyes once more before closing his own and breathing in deeply. He felt it crawling under his skin, wanting to break free. Then his skin began to tingle more than before and then he felt a wave of energy rush through him. All other senses were forgot as this happened, as he accepted the instincts he tried to push down.

Suddenly, when the rush was over, he felt a hand upon his head. Wait his head? That's when Jack took in his other senses. He was lying on his belly with his arms and legs stretched out. But he didn't feel fingers but he did feel other appendages, as well as his usual heightened senses. Opening his eyes, Jack looked up to see Sandy smiling down at him with a soft smile. Looking down he saw that instead of hands, he had paws.

Ears perking up, Jack slowly moved his legs under him and stood up. He swayed for a moment before heading over to the lake to look at his reflection. There, staring back at him, was a snowy white fox with ice blue eyes. Jack gasped and stumbled backwards, only to fall on his behind.

The Sandy was next to him. "Are you ok?"

Jack nodded then used his frost to say, "But how do I change back? I don't want to be stuck like this!"

"Just focus on changing back. This doesn't control you, it's a part of you."

Jack nodded and once again closed his eyes. He focused on changing back to his human form and before Jack knew it, the energy flowed through him once more and then, when he opened his eyes, he wasn't a fox anymore. There was no more pressure building under his skin, no more pain. Instantly, Jack jump onto Sandy, giving the dream-weave a great hug.

"Thank you so much!"

Sandy smiled and patted the younger spirits back as a response. When they pulled away Jack laughed, "So how do we tell the others?"

Sandy racked his brain from ideas when one suddenly came to mind. Signing the plan to Jack, the biy grinned, mischief sparking in his eyes. "I'm in."

Tooth raced towards the North Pole. She had been at the Palace dealing with the teeth when suddenly, Jack's laughter had run out through the area. When she searched for the teen herself, she was met with the sight of a white fox sitting on top of a ledge, grinning down at her. At first she was shocked but when she took a better look at the fox, she had realized it was Jack. Though, before she could make a move towards him, Jack had jumped onto the wind and flew from her sight. Instantly, she took off towards the Pole.

She arrived the same moment Bunny appeared from a hole next to her and they both shared a look, one that meant they saw the same thing. Instantly the two rushed through the workshop and into North's office, interrupting him in the middle of sculpting.

"What have I told you about knocking?!"

"Now is not the time, mate!" Taking in the worried and frantic looks of the two, North was instantly alert.

"What has happened?" North demanded.

"It Jack he…" Tooth trailed off.

"He's a fox again." Bunny continued.

"What?!"

"It's true!" Tooth shouted. "I was at the Palace when I heard him laugh and found him as a fox, but he ran away."

"Same for me." Bunny said, "The kit was running around my Warren before running away."

"Does Sandy know of this?"

"I haven't seen him." Tooth answered.

"Same, maybe he hasn't found Jackie yet."

"But boy is a fox?"

"Yes."

"Then we must find Jack, quickly!" The three left the office to go look for Jack's light upon the globe, only to hear the pitter patter of paws upon the floor around them. They turned towards the noise to find the white fox sitting there, staring at them.

"Jack?" North asked, then the fox took off. It didn't get far before a wall of dream-sand block its path and then trapped it in a cocoon. "Nice work Sandy!" North shouted as the dream-weaver floated in through a window.

Sandy gave a nod to each of them before pointing at the cocoon with a question mark.

"Jack's been turned into a fox again!" Tooth said quickly.

"I've been what?" A cheerful voice came from behind them as Jack floated in through a window. "Because I think I'd know if I was a fox."

"Jack?!" They all shouted in surprise.

"But-But you were a fox?!" Tooth squawked.

"Sandy open the cocoon!" Bunny snapped. Sandy did as told, carefully hiding a smirk, and as the sand vanished, they were all met with the sight of nothing!

"Are you guys coming down with something or have you gone nuts?" Jack asked as he examined the spot.

"But there was fox right there!" North shouted.

"I see no fox." Jack answered with a smirk.

The other's turned towards Sandy, while Jack snuck behind them and began to focus, and Bunny asked, "You didn't let it escape did you, mate?" Sandy shook his head, no longer able to fight the smile off his face. "What are you smiling about?!"

Suddenly a bark came from behind them and the Guardians turned to see the white fox sitting there with Jack's staff lying on the ground next to it.

"What-but-how?" The others stuttered while Sandy laughed behind them. The fox glowed and then Jack was standing before them, smirking. "It seems it was better for me to accept my instincts, hm?"

"You knew about this Sandy?" Tooth asked. Sandy nodded in response, still laughing continuously.

"He's the one who helped me actually." Jack answered with a grin, "We just needed to tell you guys."

The Guardians just stared with dumbstruck expressions causing Jack to burst out laughing with Sandy.

This is going to be fun.

Me: It's funny how that's said right before the next arc! HAHAHAHAHA! Anywho we got some Sandy and Jack bonding there. And this is such a nice long chapter. *sighs happily*.

Pitch: Oh the joy.

Me: Anyway feel free to comment, suggest, ask questions, etc.

Until next time! :D
