Ok this is the next chapter.

Thank you all for the reviews/follows/favorites

Me: Wow, I got a few questions last chapter.

Pitch: Will you answer them?

Me: I'll answer the two while one is a comment I need to reply to.

Pitch: Well go on.

Me: *cough* Ok lets see:

DragonRobotKid676 asked: Will they ever find out about Jack and Pitch being related? Answer: Maybe! I can't go into detail because it may or may not spoil future chapters! Here's a more solid answer though; yes, no, maybe so, only I know!

Liliana Dragonshard asked: Will they ever escape? Ok so I don't know if I'm suppose to answer this so I'm just going to say you'll see.

Me: And now there is one comment I have to respond to.

Pitch: You usually don't.

Me: I will if it needs to commented back to or if its a question! And sorry to any people who did in the past and I never answered it. Now the comment made was a telepathic message to out Guardians to help them escape I only have one reply to that...

Kasakit: It never reached them, Valledorthedragon!

Me: Why are you here?

Pitch: Yes why?

Kasakit: This is my arc! And besides, these readers need to know I put a spell around where I'm keeping them so nothing magical can enter.

Me: You're magical.

Kasakit: Besides me!

Me: Ah, be more clear next time.

Now onto the chapter!

Golden eyes blinked. He looked around the dark cave seeing the others were all still unconscious, dreaming of nothing but black. Well almost all of them. Over in his cage, Jack was twitching and whimpering in fear as, Sandy guessed, he relieved his death. He took in the form of the other's body, noting the raw and red skin upon his feet to his hands even to his face. He caught sight of the water still dripping off his body, informing him that Jack's temperature was warmer than normal.

Turning his attention away from the younger spirit, he looked towards his other companions. The blood had stopped flowing from each of their wounds, the blood drying over but still caking each of them. They each seemed fine from anything other than the wounds that lived upon their skin.

For a while, Sandy believed he would be the only one to lie awake within the horror filled cave. That is until a groan was heard from his left and he watched as Tooth awoke from blackness.

"Sandy?" She called out to him after noticing he was awake.

He nodded his head.

"Are you alright?"

He sighed an "it could be better" sign.

Tooth's gaze dropped. "I'm sorry." Then she looked around the room, horror dawning upon her face as she took in her other companions. "Oh dear MiM." She gasped out softly.

Sandy's face sobered at her words and he tilted his head down with a silent sigh. He listened as she cried over their friends, their family, without anything to sign back. Suddenly, another groan was heard from the Easter spirit as he woke in the same groggily manner as Tooth had.

"Bunny?" Tooth called over. "Are you with us?

He groaned a bit before lifting his head and taking in the sight around him. He swallowed thickly as he caught sight of the two still unconscious Guardians before turning to the other conscious ones. "…Yeah."

"Oh thank goodness Bunny!" Tooth exclaimed. "You're still alive!"

"…Yeah I am. W-What about…" He couldn't continue but the other two knew where he was going.

"Their alive." Tooth answered. Sandy nodded in agreement. Bunny let out the breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.

"So," Tooth spoke. "What do we do now?"

"We-We need to escape somehow." Bunny answered.

"Yes, but…how?" A thick voice spoke with a cough. They turned to see North awake and turned towards the rest of them.

"Hey North." Bunny greeted with a weak smile.

"Ah, good to see you alright, friend."

"As right as I can be in this situation."

"…Right."

"So, what will we be doing?" Tooth asked from her cage.

"No idea." Bunny answered, sadly effectively smashing their hopes. "These cages seem to have defenses against our abilities."

Once more silence reigned through the air. They had no plan, no idea of what to do when Kasakit returned, other than to just sit there and take it. They would have no choice but to suffer until something came along to free them.

They were trapped in an endless nightmare.

Speaking of nightmares, Jack's startled gasped brought their attention to him as his glassy eyes flickered to and fro. He went to back into the bars only for them to heat up and burn at his skin. Jack yelped and moved back to the middle of his cage, curling cautiously into himself, knees to his chest and head tilted downward, as pain prickled though his veins from the salt and heat.

"Jack?" North called out cautiously. Blue eyes glanced up to him from where they were and as they went over each of the others, an uncomfortable feeling seemed to spiral from within them. A laugh bubbled up the winter spirit's throat, one that was not his usual. It was not full of innocent teasing laughter but instead insanity grew within it as it echoed through the air. It struck their ears along with the unidentifiable mummers that came with the laughter. Kasakit caused the one thing they all feared and tried to prevent.

Jack had snapped.

That little sick side of fun that had lain dormant within his center had reacted at the sight of their mangled, bloodied bodies. They had no idea what to do as they watched their youngest member loose his mind right before them. They had no idea what to do to stop this.

So Bunny called out to the cackling spirit. "Hey, Frostbite!" He called. "Snap out of it! You're not seeing or hearing whatever it is you are! Can you hear me Jack? Hey! Can you hear me?"

It took a while but soon a gasp was heard from the winter spirit and they watched as the eyes became focus and filled with emotions that should never be seen in such a young boy's eyes. His laughter had stopped and he was panting where he sat curled up in fetal position. He looked at each of them with wide eyes filled with despair, fear, pain, and many others. However, there was no insanity.

"Jack?" Tooth called over to him. "Sweet-Tooth are you alright?"

Jack's eyes stay trained on her, but they could tell he wasn't listening to her. His eyes trailed over every slash and cut that covered her feathered body. He then looked to North and Bunny as well, taking ever one of their injuries. Finally he looked towards Sandy. No wounds could be found upon his golden body but Jack knew that the dream-weaver had not been saved from the torture.

His eyes went back to Tooth and he whispered. "I'm sorry." While it was quiet, it echoed through the room.

"Oh no, Sweet-Tooth." Tooth responded with tears shinning in her eyes from the apology. "You don't need to apologize. None of this is your fault, alright! This is no one's fault!"

Jack stared for a minute before weakly nodding his head.

"Now we need to find a way out of here." Bunny spoke up once more. "Does anyone have any ideas?"

Silence over took them. They couldn't think of anything. Tooth's wings were broken, Bunny couldn't make a tunnel, Sandy couldn't escape, North could barely move, and Jack couldn't even touch the bars of the cage much less form any ice before it melted from heat. They were stuck.

"I-I could try something." Jack's raspy voice spoke up. They all looked to him, only to see him staring off in the distance. Where he was staring was a large back space, so light to be seen in it. However, Jack seemed trained on something specifically in that area.

"If it includes burning yourself then no." Bunny instantly said.

Jack shook his head lightly. "N-No. I could try…cutting off my connection…w-ith my staff." He gasped out. "I could take all of winter."

Their eyes widened. "No!" They all instantly denied this idea. They knew how painful it was for Jack to have all of winter's power coursing through him without his staff to balance him out and being able to let it flow freely because he was without proper training. They didn't want him to forcibly do this either.

However, his sad, pain filled eyes turned to them. "I have to. It's the only thing we've got and I can't let you get hurt anymore."

And before any more could be said on it, Jack closed his eyes and began to slowly cut off the connection and gather the power in his core. The others stared sadly at him, wishing they could do something to help, but knowing he was right. This was their only option at the moment.

So that was that.

Kasakit: Thank you for sharing this with me.

Me: No problem! :D

Kasakit: *grins evilly* Now if you don't mind I have to go stop something. *vanishes with black smoke*

Me: Dude, he stole your trick

Pitch: That doesn't matter. What matters is that you just doomed the Guardians.

Me: Did I?

Pitch: Yes! You just let Kasakit here to read the chapter letting him know what they're doing!

Me: Didn't know you cared.

Pitch: I care for Jack.

Me: AWWWW!

Pitch: shut up!

Me: *grins* such a softy

anyway feel free to comment, ask questions, etc.
