He'd won.

Bill had won, and there was no one else left to say otherwise.

As far as she knew, half of the population was dead, and everyone else who was spared and left to survive on their own were better off dead.

She'd long forgotten what it felt like to feel another human's presence, especially her family's, and she had come to the conclusion that she probably would never do so. After all, she'd been stuck in the midscape for over four years now, and the chances of Bill ever letting her go were as slim as the thought of her own brother still being alive.

As far as she knew, everyone in Gravity Falls, except for her, had been wiped out and there was only fallen ashes of the town that had once been so alive.

Her family was dead, and she didn't need to see it to know so.

She was the maid, at least to the demons that constantly released chaos throughout the world. She would do anything they commanded, in a precious manner, or otherwise she'd be tortured for it. They all didn't know about the nightly visits Bill would make to her bedroom at night, the one he had so ''kindly'' provided, and the dream demon certainly didn't want them to.

''Why me?'' she would whimper, her body aching as she attempted to curl as farthest as she could to the corner of the room while pulling her nightgown down. ''Why did you spare me?''

Bill would zip up his pants zipper, kneeling down to her and gently running his fingers down her cheek (she'd learned the hard way not to push him away, even if the slightest touch from him made her want to die). ''You know full well that I could never get rid of you, shooting star. I've grown too attached to you''

His human form, the one he'd only change into when he was alone with her, would tuck a strand of her caramel dark hair behind her ear. She'd let out a cry, to which he'd only wipe away her tears with a slight frown.

''Bill, please kill me. I beg you''

''No can't do. I've watched you for far too long to just let you die on me''

She'd close her eyes shut, feeling his cold arms wrap around her. ''I don't want to be here! You killed my family!''

''Oh, please! Pine tree, six finger and greedy were just in our way'' he'd plant a sloppy kiss on her neck, and she'd shutter. ''Now, we can finally be together''

''You're insane''

''I've given you so much. I gave you a bedroom, clothes to wear, not to mention I kept you alive! What else do you need of me before you can finally begin loving me?'' She'd stare into his golden eyes, but all she saw was Dipper's bloodied corpse staring back at her.

''You can kill me''

Bill would run his fingers through his blond hair, a small smirk appearing on his lips. ''I think it's time you get some rest, shooting star. I've got more torture methods to try out on some survivors we found''

He planted a kiss on her forehead, walking towards the door.

''You know I won't live forever'' she mumbled, hiding her face into her knees.

He turned to her, lips pressed together. ''I always get what I want'' and with that, he'd be off.

Mabel could only cry herself to sleep, her mind racing back to the burning image of Dipper and her great uncles. They were dead, and she was alive, and she wanted to die more than anything.

And yet, there was a small, minuscule part of her that would think back to it all, and still manage to think ''Maybe they'll rescue me tomorrow''.

They never did.
