It had seemed like an eternity since the movie theater. Stephanie's work schedule had gotten hectic after one of the other girls quite to have more time with her boyfriend and finals were creeping up so she had to dedicate more time to studying. She only saw Carlos at lunch and even then it was only for a few moments. It seemed that finding time to spend together was becoming quite the challenge. They tried to call each other a few nights during the week but her parents were insistent that she focus on studying. She could talk to him after finals. It only made her want to speak to him more. She missed the sound of his voice; it warmed her. She was instantly cooled by her reflection.

It would do no good to dwell. If she could just focus, get through finals, see her grades... then she would spend some time with him.

With her days packed with activities it was no surprise that time went quickly. After her final test there was not an instant sense of relief. No, it crept over her slowly as she walked out of her last class of the day, the bell still ringing in her ears. It didn't fully settle on her until she saw Carlos with his boys outside the doors. A slow smile spread over her face and she walked to him leisurely. There was no hurry now. They would finally have a chance to relax and spend some time together. He smiled when he saw her. She didn't interrupt the conversation. She merely pressed herself into his side. He draped an arm over her shoulder and pressed a kiss into her hair while listening to Tank tell a story.

"So, bombshell, you coming to the party tonight?" Lester asked with a stupid shimmy of his chest.

"What party?"

"Tank knows a girl who is throwing a big finals party. It should be pretty low key." Carlos said trailing his fingers down the skin of her arm.

Stephanie shivered and nodded. "Sounds pretty good. I have to work for a few hours today but I should be able to make it."

The boys smiled and proceeded to shout jovially over one another to discuss tests and parties and pranks and cars. Stephanie watched Carlos interact by his side. She knew it was stupid being so enchanted; but she couldn't help but watch his mouth form words or his brow furrow at his friends. He hands tightened in the fabric of his shirt without her notice. He noticed. He noticed everything. His hand moved from her arm, down her side and gave her bottom a gentle squeeze before cupping it firmly. She licked her lips. Oh yes, she had missed him.

"Hey, Batman, think we can sneak off to the bat cave for a while?" She whispered into his ear with a suggestive wriggle of her brows.

He made no reply. He simply lifted her onto the back of his bike and the beast roared between her legs. She'd like another beast to roar between her legs. She gave a quick wave and said goodbye to the others before they sped off. She thought she heard a security guard yell at them to slow down but she couldn't be sure. Her mind was occupied. Her hands roamed slowly over his chest before sliding them under his shirt at a red light. Her hands were sweaty but the warmth of his skin was most welcome. She nipped his shoulder blade before smiling into the fabric of his shirt.

He took her straight to work. They pulled up behind the Tasty Pastry and the motorcycle went quiet. She was off in a matter of seconds. She grabbed his hand and pulled him into the shadows. She shoved him against the rough brick wall and looked up at him meekly. His chest seemed to vibrate as he hummed. He turned her and her back was against the wall now. His hands, laced with hers, raised her arms in a slow arc above her head before he held them there with a single calloused hand. His other hand traced her jaw and lips slowly. Stephanie swallowed harshly.

"Golly, Batman, I think I've been caught." She said as playful as she could.

She wasn't feeling very playful. She felt deliciously feminine and exposed and vulnerable.

"You know Robin, it would seem so." He grumbled.

"I am not Robi-"

Her lips were covered gently. It was slow and teasing. His lips were barely there and she fought the urge to kick him. He knew damn well what he was doing. She had missed him terribly. Her tongue snuck out when he leaned in for another trace kiss. He groaned. Finally, his body was flush with hers, both of his hands cupped her face now as his kiss took a new turn. It was eager and full of promise. His tongue lapped at her like she was water and he had long been in the desert. She would happily be an oasis. He was a man starved. She was happy to oblige.

She was sorry when he pulled away. He looked sated and at once renewed. She wished she felt the same. She felt weak knead, as though he had sucked the life out of her. And with that mouth of his she had no doubt that he had. She punched his stomach playfully when he smiled a knowing smile. She walked him back to his bike and ruffled his hair before kissing him goodbye. He would pick her up after her shift and she would change before they left for the party.

She was smiling like an idiot the entire day and her boss commented that he was glad she was feeling perkier. Had her melancholy really been so noticeable? Damn him and his Latin charm!
