So, first off, I apologize for another massive absence from the story, and I'm afraid I can't promise it won't happen again, but I will make a more conscious effort to write as often as possible, and that is one of my 2016 resolutions.
Also I'm sorry to any fight fans but I've settled with skipping the Hades vs Fairy Tail fight, even though I had some great ideas for it (some of which will show up when we get to the Grand Magic Games, whenever that happens...) because I've been trying to write it in fifty different ways and constantly failing after the three hundred word mark. So the story will now pick up around when Jet, Droy, and the rest of the Guild find the Tenrou Team after the timeskip. Also this chapter is going to be in two parts because I haven't written anything in awhile so I kinda wanna make up for it, but I'm also celebrating 50,000 views of the story. Obviously, no spoilers, but I'm super interested to get your opinion on the development of the plot.
Finally I have an offer to anyone who likes sketching, drawing, art, etc... Skip to the very very last paragraph to see it.

"There they are!"
"Are they ok? Get them out of the dirt!"
"Oh my... They haven't aged a day..."
The voices drifted in and out of focus as rays of light drifted into Natsu's opening eyes.
Am I dead?
As he woke, his brain started sending signals to every muscle to ensure everything was alright. When his fingers twitched he felt something small, warm, and soft. It took a few seconds for him to realize it was someone else's hand, but not a second longer to realize whose hand it was.
"Lisanna!" Natsu half shouted, half slurred out as he kicked away the dirt he was half submerged in, causing cries of shock from the nearby Droy who had been digging him out. He started pulling his petite lover out as she woke, blinking in confusion.
"Na... Natsu? What's going on?"
But Natsu didn't hear, he was gripping her tightly against himself. It had been too close, the monstrous dragon had opened its maw and Natsu thought he was done for, more than that; he had gotten too close to losing her again.
"You're mine," he muttered, "no one's ever taking you from me again."
Lisanna didn't need any more explanation, she just closed her eyes, pressed her head against Natsu's chest, wrapped her arms around his waist, and smiled.
"I'm yours."
They sat there for a few moments, but soon broke apart as they heard a harsh, but incredibly cheery, "We're here too you lovey dipshits!"
They turned to see Jet, Droy, Laki, Macao, and Wakaba grinning madly. Before they could register their shock at the different appearance their guild mates now bore, they were drowned by a torrent of hug, kisses, high fives, tears, and general merriment.
•••
This euphoria endured as they scoured the island and dug up more and more of the lost guild members. Natsu had another touching reunion with Happy (which involved much more crying than either would ever admit to) and everyone tried to wrap their heads around the fact that they had been gone seven years. There was an even greater surge of excitement when Mavis Vermillion herself appeared and explained how she had saved them all from Acnologia's roar.
So it was with a giddy glee that everyone boarded the galleon chartered by Fairy Tail's rescue team and set sail back to Hargeon. After several rounds of hurling, Natsu finally consented to get a Troya from Wendy. But when the little dragon slayer had finished casting the spell, Natsu realized he had lost his tigress.
"Lisanna?" He called, scouring the bustling deck for a glimpse of white hair. He finally noticed a blue eye and a shock of ivory poking out of a doorway that led down to the hold. The moment their eyes met, the blue one fled from the other's gaze. Before Natsu could truly register what he was doing, he had marched all the way to the door and walked in. The room was stuffed full of provisions, barrels of beer, ale, wine, and fresh water were stacked up like walls and almost all of the remaining space was covered in salted beef, vegetables, salted fish, and bags of flour. Natsu couldn't see Lisanna anywhere so he just started wandering adventurously through the stacks of food. Out of nowhere, he was shoved down onto a flour bag and straddled by an indistinguishable figure in the semi-dark, but he knew immediately who it was.
"Hello sweetness," he grinned as he pulled down her head, kissing her like he was a drowning man and she was the water's surface.
"I want... you..." She gasped between intense bouts of kissing, her words interspersed with small moans, "I... need... you."
Natsu didn't say anything, but he reciprocated her feelings with his actions. Between all of the training, traveling, and the disastrous S class exams, the two of them had not made love in a month, or-according to the other guild members-seven years. Either way, the idea had both of them giddy. His hands groped at her waist, pulling her shirt up quickly and breaking the kiss to gaze lovingly at her gorgeous body in the strands of sunlight that came down through the cracks in the wood. The recent battles had left her with a new scar, freshly mended by Wendy, but still leaving a few pinkish-white line across her waist. Natsu ran his fingers along the wound, it ran from her right hip to a spot beneath her navel. Lisanna sat up and grabbed his hand, pulling it down to her panties and smiling slyly. Natsu was just starting to slip a finger under the fabric when a large bang sent them rolling off the flour bag and onto the floor in shock.
"You're sure we have some left?"
"Yeah, I told you a hundred times."
Lisanna looked at Natsu and mouthed the words Jet and Droy.
"Here it is," declared Droy triumphantly, "Master Makarov's favorite mead. I told you I didn't drink it all."
"Yes, yes, very good." Jet sighed, he then grunted, presumably picking up the barrel of mead, "It's so amazing to have them all back, mind you, I haven't seen much of Natsu and Lisanna."
Droy snorted, "How much do you want to bet they're hooking up in the captain's cabin?"
The pair laughed raucously as they left the hold. Natsu looked at Lisanna with amusement, "So you prefer doing it on flour sacks than in the captain's cabin?"
She punched him gently in the gut and grinned, "Shut up, I didn't know!"
Natsu looked at the deck, "Do you want go ahead with this or should we wait until we get home?"
Lisanna pouted and rubbed the front of her boyfriend's pants, "It's so tempting..." She whispered into his ear, biting it softly before continuing, "But we should wait."
She rolled off and pulled her top back on, walking away from her now awkwardly erect lover with a cruel smirk.

Natsu and Lisanna saw very little of each other as the ship and the later train brought them back to Fairy Tail's new guild hall in Magnolia. Once they were at the guild, they dealt with a few pesky intruders from Twilight Ogre before really getting down to the business of celebration. As the festivities raged around them, Natsu and Lisanna were both too busy catching up with their old friends to get back to their previous activities. And after a good hour of drinking, Natsu found himself seated with Alzack and Gildarts at the bar, feeling the tingly feeling that comes with too much beer.
"So Al, took you long enough didn't it?" Gildarts grinned, punching the gunman in the arm, "Finally got hitched!"
Alzack smiled stupidly, slurring every word, "Yeah, it's funny though..."
"What is?" Natsu asked with a smirk, "That she said yes to your dumb ass?"
The other man made a fairly offensive gesture before answering, "No, I mean, I always suspected we'd be married someday. I just thought we'd be the second couple to get married."
"Yeah, I mean Gray has to give up eventually." Natsu cackled
"Not them," Gildarts interjected, "I agree with Alzack though."
"What in the world are you two going on about?"
Gildarts pointed behind them, Natsu followed his finger till he saw what his mentor was looking at.
She was sitting at a table beside the door with Lucy, Cana, Mirajane, and Bisca. Little baby Asuma was curled up on Her knees and She was playing with the child's hair. Her own ivory hair was messy and Her blue eyes were half closed and unfocused from fatigue, but She was still as gorgeous as ever.
"You really think that's where we're headed?" Natsu asked his mentor hesitantly
"Both you and I know that's where it'll go." Gildarts grinned, "And judging by where she wears that ring, which I also presume you got her, so does she."
Natsu licked his lips, it was such a beautiful idea...

After a few hours and more mugs of beer than anyone could count, Natsu trudged out of the Guild Hall, carrying a sleeping Lisanna in piggyback and an equally sleepy Happy sitting on his shoulder. Romeo was jabbering on about his adventures over the past seven years.
"So then I dropped behind him and lit him up with my sticky flames!"
Natsu grinned, "Well, we'll have to go on a mission together." He paused for a few moments to ruffle his 'little brother's' hair, "I'm going to take Lisanna and Happy to a hotel, see you tomorrow!"
Romeo looked back in confusion, "A hotel? Why on earth would you do that?"
Natsu felt uncomfortable, had Romeo not remembered that in seven years, the old house had probably rotted away?
Romeo seemed to realise this and laughed, "You idiot, come with me."
Natsu protested at the insult but he followed Romeo down the old path that lead to the old house. When they reached it Natsu couldn't believe what he saw, The house had certainly aged, as the growth of vine and walls had certainly been replaced or reinforced semi professionally in some places, but otherwise it still seemed in great condition; the lawn, less floral than before, was still well kempt, and there was a pile of freshly chopped tinder by the side door.
"Who lives here now?" Natsu asked in amazement
"Technically, no one, but over the past few years I've been sleeping her almost as much as at home." Romeo answered smugly, "Dad doesn't mind, as a matter of fact we come here to relax sometimes, it's a lot calmer than our house in town."
"Well it's nice to see you've put it to good use." Natsu grinned, ruffling his little friend's hair, "Can we bunk here for the night? I don't want to push you out after you've been here so…"
Before he could finish he reflexively caught something Romeo had tossed him. He looked in his hand and saw a set of keys.
"Stop that, it's yours, that's the spare set you gave my dad before you left." Romeo then turned and walked away, waving behind back at Natsu. "You guys sleep well! See you tomorrow!"

He had vanished down the path when Natsu lay Lisanna down on the old bed that had clearly broken several times and somehow been fixed by Romeo or Macao. Lisanna stirred slightly as she was lain on the soft mattress, her blue eyes fluttered open and focused on Natsu's own brown ones. She smiled and pulled his head down to kiss him softly, they sunk into the kiss and pulled into each other.
Lisanna broke away and whispered into her lover's ear, "Where's Happy?" Her hands slid down to Natsu's waist and pulled up his shirt gently.
"Asleep in his hammock downstairs," He raised his arms so Lisanna could pull off his top, "We have the house to ourselves."
He kissed his way along her jawline to her right ear, his teeth softly bit her ear. Lisanna released a shivering moan and her breath turned to deep sighs of lust. Her legs curled around Natsu's and pulled him in close, his stiff member quite obvious in his baggy pants. Lisanna started grinding herself against her lover, gasping sharply every time his stiffness pressed against her already soaked flower. Natsu paused and lifted his head slightly from his lover's neck, his keen nose sniffed lightly and he picked up the strong, musky smell of her arousal.
"Someone's getting excited." Natsu whispered into her ear, grinning happily.
In response Lisanna dragged Natsu down and rolled on top of him, now straddling her lover and grinding passionately, "Look at Dr. Jackass stating the obvious, you gonna keep talking all night, or are you gonna take some action?"
She had barely finished her question when Natsu stood up suddenly and slammed her up against a wall. Lisanna yelped in surprise at this sudden surge of energy, but she soon recovered and started giggling childishly, revelling in the primal fury she had stoked so expertly. Natsu, on the other hand, wasn't thinking nearly as coherently as his mate. In that moment, Natsu truly was a dragon, all restraint gone and replaced by primal lust.
"Mine…" He growled as he grabbed the hem of Lisanna's shorts and the panties beneath them, "You… Are… Mine…"
In one quick move, he tore both articles of clothing off of her petite form, leaving her petite body nude and pressed between her lover and the wall. At any other time, Lisanna might have whined at the loss of such nice panties, but right now she couldn't have cared less
"Yes…" She moaned, "Take me, please Natsu… Make me scream..."
He did not disappoint; as soon as Natsu's pants fell away he pushed right into his lover. Lisanna arched her head back and moaned loudly, her nails digging into Natsu's back as she felt him fill her, then pull out and slide back in. He started to speed up, sinking his teeth into her pale throat.
"Yes… Yes… YEEEESSS!"
As she screamed in bliss, the golden-orange flames burst around the pair, bathing the large room in a soft light. The flames licked at the walls and heated the wood, but did not burn it. Natsu growled softly as he took long strokes into his petite girlfriend, every time he heard her moan and squeal in pleasure at his efforts.
Unfortunately, the concentration Natsu devoted to pleasuring his lover meant that when he tried to shift his feet slightly he caught them in his discarded pants. The flames roared softly as the couple tumbled to the floor, screaming in surprise. They landed in a heap of clothes and started to laugh, clutching each other tightly. Silence fell soon though as their lips met. Lisanna straddled her dragon and broke the kiss, sitting up slowly.
Wow… was the only thing Natsu could think.
She sat there, straddling him, more beautiful than she had ever been before, a thin sheen of sweat covered her body, making her shimmer slightly in the light of the flames. She looked down at him, her lips curled in sly smile, her eyes half closed and full of lust. He sat up to wrap his arms around her waist and kissed her collarbone, a hand sliding down her waist to settle on her hip. Her left hand slipped down to clutch his own and he felt the hard metal band around her third finger. He smiled slightly and lifted his head.
"I love you Lisanna…" He whispered in her ear, "And I never want to let you go."
She smiled softly and kissed his forehead, "Good, neither do I."
She leaned in to kiss him again, but before she could he said something that made her heart skip twenty beats and froze time.
"Will you marry me?"

So there it is! I seriously hope it doesn't look to forced or rushed, but this is honestly how I always pictured this moment happening. I hope you enjoyed this new chapter, and please be aware that the wedding will not be for a while because, as some people seem to forget, engagements usually last a while. So hopefully I'll finish chapter 16 on the plane tomorrow and have it posted as soon as I get a good internet connection, but if I'm just being delusionally ambitious, I am so sorry in advance.
Now for my special request. I've been thinking of changing the cover picture for the story, NOT BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE THE CURRENT COVER ANUBISLOKI I STILL REALLY REALLY LOVE IT!, but because I feel that some change is always nice and I'm curious to see what comes up! So here's the challenge; I'd like anyone who's good with a pencil and who has the time and inclination to give it a shot to try and draw one of the scenes from this story (keep it PG-13, no hentai) and PM it to my account. I'll look at anything I get and try to pick one! Good luck and thank you in advance if you do give it a try!
