PERCY

I can't believe I am bringing this guy back to my room, it hasn't even been a full week of school and already I am bringing a boy back to the bedroom and a cute one too, Percy thought to himself. It's not that hes a bad guy or anything, just that he barely knew the guy, granted Nico did help him out back there when he came through that Gods forsaken portal. Percy made a mental note to never travel through a portal ever again if he could help it. The nausea in addition to the embarrassment just might be too much to handle. The main problem that kept popping up inside Percy's head though was that he didn't know this Nico fellow. Percy kept trying to come up with small chat, but it always ended up in mumbling and awkward silence. I am just making a fool of myself, Percy sighed mentally, looking at the back of Nico as he followed along. Granted the view was really nice, the way his legs formed in those pants coming all the way up to a tight butt that I would just love to...Stop wait just a minute what am I thinking! Percy had never felt this way about anyone before, maybe it wasn't such a great idea for going back to his bedroom he might just embarrass himself more, and while he didn't know Nico that well right now, he did want to get to know him better. In more ways than one if he had anything to say about it.

NICO

So, his bedroom. Of all the places to come up with. Lets just announce you're trying to get into his pants and be done with it why don't you Nico, yeah just keep it smooth Nico thought to himself. Nico kept stealing glances behind him but every time he would look Percy kept looking down, there was some idle small chat talking about some of the art and some of the different houses and when meals were served and such. Though every time Percy would start talking, the conversation would fall flat. It was almost like Percy was forcing the conversation. It was nice that the dude was attempting to be nice and all, but it's not like I am wanting his pity or anything. Is it too much to ask for a nice guy to actually just want to hang out, grab a few drinks, kill a few monsters...yeah who am I kidding it probably is. Yay for being a Greek demi-god and to boot I get to be the son of the God of the Underworld, yeah that's got a ring to it. Nico became lost in his thoughts continuing towards Percy's room unsure of what was going to happen or if anything would happen, his thoughts growing darker by the minute. Life seemed so unfair, here was a great guy, a cute guy to boot, and he couldn't even seem to phrase a single sentence without sounding like a bumbling idiot. Greek demi-god of death, yeah right, more like Greek demi-god of dumb. Maybe its not too late to come up with an alibi, Nico thought to himself, I don't actually have to go into his room after all. Plus I don't know if I can fully trust myself, and if he even knew some of the thoughts racing through my head right now he would be running for the door in the opposite direction. On the other hand, the would mean I wouldn't get to see him, and he would be in a different room, Ugh, sometimes this life just blows!

PERCY

Percy began to notice the scenery start to become familiar and they were getting closer to his room. Percy wasn't really paying much attention to wear he was walking and was mainly just trying to keep up conversation with Nico, and at the same time not make a fool of himself. Unfortunately for him, he didn't notice the very attractive wall he ran into and knocked down when be began to look forward again after quickly looking back at Nico. needless to say, the experience didn't end so well.

"Ouch, I'm sorry, I should have been watching where I was going. Are you OK?" Percy asked.

"Are you blind? Who walks around school like that, do you have a death wish or something? have the gods forsaken you? Oh I know! you must have just been dropped on your head as a child, that's what it is. Your direction sense must be a little off. But no worries, I think the only think I wounded was my pride running into you." this guy went off at Percy.

Percy was taken aback, he hadn't been at school very long and already he was making enemies it seemed. " I said I was sorry, you don't have to be a dick about it"

It was at this point Nico walked up and and whispered to Percy "Hey just let it slide, he's a heavy hitter, I'll explain later but don't make him angry".

"Yeah, listen to your friend, little man, just move along and get the hell out of my way before I really get mad and make you regret ever running into me!" the guy proceeded to yell some more.

At this point Percy was pissed, he had dealt with people like Gabe all his life, he wasn't going to at school too.

" No, no I am not. I apologized. It was an honest mistake. If you had been so aware of your own situation, you could have avoided me, so I guess that makes us both idiots then doesn't it. You want to be all high and mighty, and act like you're Zeus himself well that's fine, but there is such a thing as common courtesy and respect."

Nico started to whimper, "Percy, this isn't a good idea, that guys name is Leuco. He's a Siren, and from the shade of red his pretty face is turning right about now I'd say you just pissed him off.

"Well that's just fine Nico, cause he was being just plain rude and that's not nice." Percy said.

Leuco began to hum to himself, " Why you little snot nosed brat, you are going to pay for those comments. What your friend said is true, I am a siren, and I am going to embarrass you and make you wish you hadn't been born." Leuco started picking up the pace of his humming and began a small melody, and to Percy's ears it sounded like Leuco was singing and talking at the same time. While it was pretty, it didn't sound like anything special. However, when Leuco said to sit, and lie down on your back, Nico did exactly that, and on top of that when he said to wet your pants, Nico did too. It was at this point Percy couldn't take anymore, he didn't know what was happening, but he hauled off and decked this Leuco guy right in the face.

"You need to be taught some manners, stop torturing people, and leave us alone. Nico, we are leaving come on.

Thankfully they weren't very far from Percy's room and were able to quickly walk away from Leuco who continued to stare after them with a dumbfounded look on his face. Maybe no one had ever hit him before Percy thought to himself. Who knows, he thought, they stopped before his door.

Finally the moment had arrived and now there really wasn't any turning back. Just play it cool Percy thought to himself, I can do this, its not like its a test or anything. Its just two guys hanging out being friends, right? The more Percy started thinking the more his resolve started to waver, but since this was his idea to begin with and they both needed to get changed, and freshen up, Percy took a slight whiff of himself and cringed, yeah definitely need to shower. "Well here we are, home sweet home!" Percy announced before he could change his mind, "give me just a sec to get my keys and open the door and we can get in and get settle. I am not sure how far away your room is, but I think I might have something that could fit you in the meantime if you want to shower here. I mean, you don't have to, that is, I don't think you smell, you smell really good, um no, that's not it, I mean you do, but well, ugh, I mean... ugh I'm shutting up now, its just an offer take for it what you will," Percy unlocked the door and proceeded to almost run inside much to his embarrassment.

Meanwhile just a little while earlier...

On a lunch table in a cafeteria not too far away...

LEUCO

"Leuco! Mo is getting the note all wrong, he's not even trying! Tell him to stop ignoring me please, this is getting very frustrating and the show is just in a matter of a few days! You know we need to get our practice in before our big day. We might not need much practice but we still need to practice in order to wow our audience, plus its how we are going to continue feeding and im hungry!" Thelix pouted on.

Leuco wasn't sure what he was supposed to do about it exactly, Thelix never was one to take no for an answer, and Mo was always one for teasing poor Thelix. He suppressed a grin and attempted to fake some sincere compassion,

"Dear sweet Thelix, I know the show is coming up, and deadlines are approaching, but we are Sirens for crying out loud. Singing is in our blood, its practically in our very essence, if we aren't able to wow a piddly audience like this school, then we deserve our fate. After all, we are blessed by Poseidon himself and no one else here at this school can claim that!"

"Yeah Thelix, so just quiet down, we will have it taken care of, if we go through the chorus once will you let us off the hook and let us go eat lunch?" the other member of the group Peisno piped up.

"Fine, fine, fine! Everyone had made their point, lets do the chorus once, as long as we can harmonize I dont see any reason to keep continuing.

Leuco nodded his head, "its a deal then"

The group began to gather around and start humming together checking their tones before they began to sing a haunting and enchanting melody. People walking by stood transfixed unable to move or breathe, watching in blissful silence at the beautiful performance being uttered by this stunning quartet.

The Siren's Call does this entail

On the final note it appears as if the world resumes its speed and students around start meandering about. What they didnt realize and never do, is that during their blissful period of peace they were slowly being drained. The Sirens feed off of small amounts of energy or essence. It's easier to get by awing people with their voice and absorbing the awe through the micro scales on their hands and face. Sadly, no matter how good a feeding, Leuco always seemed to be hungry again a few days later. he's tried feeding from men and women, boys and girls young and old. Nothing seems to sate him. He always wants more, and his poor brothers are right along with him. Thankfully, the gods graced them with beauty, so at least they are something to behold, even if they destroy everything they touch. If only there was someone out there who could withstand his voice and not do whatever he asked them to do. Someone who would be able to withstand his essence drain, and be able to be with him, but alas, that is just a dream. Leuco sighed to himself

"Was that good enough for you Thelix?" Leuco asked.

"That's fine, we sounded as good as normal," Thelix replied " Better even, since we seemed to be in better key that usual, but it's whatever, I know you were just humoring me, so go gallivant off to the gods know where. I'll be here, finishing up our music.

Leuco didn't need another excuse, before another one of his brothers could ask to tag along he quickly got up a walked off. He needed some alone time, and some time to think. He had been needing more and more time lately. It's not that he didn't care about his brothers, he did, blood ran thicker than water after all. He just wanted something more, and lately they haven't been able to offer it to him. No one had been able to offer it to him. All the girls swooning over him just made him sick to his stomach, and frankly he just wanted to be left alone.

He continued walking down the hallway, not really paying any attention to anything when he bumped into a boy just a little shorter than him with a friend. Didn't this guy know better than to get out of his way. Everyone got out of the way of a Siren, when walking in the Hallway, it was never an issue.

The force was so strong that it knocked him down on his ass, and the other guy as well, damn this guy was going to pay for that, just what the hell was he thinking!

"Ouch, I'm sorry, I should have been watching where I was going. Are you OK?"

Is he trying to pity me? Of all the things, is he a moron too, must be a new kid, and no one bothered to inform him of the ropes, guess that will be my job today. Ugh, one more thing to add to my list.

It was at this point his friend walked up and and whispered to the bumbling idiot "Hey just let it slide, he's a heavy hitter, I'll explain later but don't make him angry".

Yeah lets not make the Siren mad, you don't want to have an accident now do you? Does this guy have a death wish ?

So his name is Percy, well now I know what to put on the Gravestone at the very least, one death wish coming up, with a side of embarrassment, I hope you brought a change of clothes because you're about to need them Leuco thought to himself.

"Well that's just fine Nico, cause he was being just plain rude, and rude people are stupid people because they dont know any better." Percy said.

That does it! Leuco thought to himself as he began to hum and talk " Why you little snot nosed brat, you are going to pay for those comments. What your friend said is true, I am a siren, and I am going to embarrass you and make you wish you hadn't been born."

He began to sing, commanding the brats to sit and lay down and piss themselves stupid, and just when the fun was really about to begin, the Percy kid came over and clocked him square in the face. Leuco's music appeared to have no affect whatsoever on Percy. He seemed immune. And whats more, is that when he hand connected with Leuco's face there was a spark of something, heat and light, but no pain, no transfer of energy. Wait, he took it back, there was a lot of pain all of a sudden, his jaw began to swell.

"You need to be taught some manners, stop torturing people, and leave us alone. Nico, we are leaving come on." Percy stated and stormed off leaving Leuco to stare on hopelessly confused and wonderfully hopeful.

Maybe, just maybe there was someone out there who he could be around that wouldn't die, and then a tragic horror settled around as the first introduction between the two of them really dawn on Leuco. How was he going to fix that. Even worse, this was another guy, how much stranger could it get, what would his brothers think, could he tell them, of course not, they might steal him from me and we cant have that. Leuco couldn't believe the predicament he was in.
