Gambit smiled to himself as he walked toward the danger room. Gambit was having a crappy day. While he was certain the danger room could alleviate some of his stress, meeting Tina was a nice distraction and momentarily took him away from his brooding if only for a short time.

Heated discussions over his other activities and Rogue's attitude was getting the better of him. He needed to work off some steam. Seeing the pretty woman drop all of her things and her frustration made him want to help her. He had no idea how pretty she was until he bent down to look at her face. "Mon dieu, she had pretty eyes," and they were a perfect compliment to her hair. He had never seen anyone else with unique eyes that rivaled his own. He could tell she wasn't immune to him and that pleased him. He looked forward to running into her again.

Gambit's danger room session was exactly what he needed and the shower after relieved even more tension. It was late in the afternoon and he thought that he would take a quick walk around the grounds. You can never check the security enough and since he was the one to make sure it was updated and could keep everyone but him out of course. He might as well attend to at least some of the things his team mates thought he wasn't spending enough time doing.

As he made his way across the lawn, he noticed Tina under one of the big elm trees, she appeared to be occupied with her work, her hand moving quite quickly on paper. He thought he would just stop by and say hello before checking the gate security. Then he smirked to himself, he'll sneak up on her and see how well her reflexes were. After all, if she is going to be on the team, never too early to start honing skills. He quietly approached from behind the tree, he peeked around and said "boo!"

Tina jumped up, screeching for a moment, before falling onto the ground after losing her balance. "Do you do this to every new person who comes here, or is it just me?" Staring at him with her one visible eye.

"Aww ma chere, that was priceless," Gambit laughed heartily. "Wait til ya start danger room sessions. I hope ya had some training, otherwise the spa and sauna will be your best friends. And if ya need training, I'ma available. All ya need ta do is ask." He winked at her and walked toward the gate to continue his security inspection rounds.

"For your information, I have already started practicing in the danger room!" She yelled at him as he walked away. "I swear to god, men only are alive to piss me off, or annoy me.." She noticed he was still laughing as he walked, which didn't improve her opinion of men.

Tina sat back down under the tree with a low growl, and flipped to a new blank sheet in her sketchbook, and started to do a rough sketch in pencil. It took her all about ten minutes to realized what she was drawing. Even though it was pretty faded, and could had been more obvious if she had inked the rough lines, it was pretty clear that she was drawing Gambit.

"AHAAA" She quickly ripped out the paper, before ripping it up into bits. "Get out of my head, you jerk!." Hitting herself with the book, soon after she was done. "What is wrong with me, its a guy. You don't need the drama in your life again.." is what she kept telling herself, after hitting her head a few more times.

Jubilee noticed Tina on her way back onto the mansion's grounds after being out all day, and walked over to her. "You okay?"

"No, no I am not. shot had to come and annoy me today. I thought you said that he is still a mope because of his whatever she was to him.."

"Well, he could possibly had gotten over it, or is trying not to think about it by.." Jubilee stopped for a second, knowing that Tina would fill in the rest.

"By bugging me huh? You're gonna have to help me avoid him at any cost.." She quickly got up, and grabbed Jubilee by the shoulders. "Please Jub, I'll help you train if you do this one thing for me, please please please I'm begging."

"Um sure, if you really wanted to avoid him, I guess I could help. Besides it gets kinda boring going to the mall all by myself, and riding on a bus isn't all that great.."

"Oh thank you thank you thank you…" Tina tightly hugging Jubilee tightly, thinking to herself 'Hopefully all of this would keep that jerk outta my thoughts…..hopefully.'

Gambit made his way down the brick wall checking for anything amiss with wiring, he noticed Jubilee and Tina talking. That was something to file away for later. Perhaps when Jubilee was in a sugar high and would spill anything and everything. Or maybe taking the mall baby shopping would also give him the inside scoop on Christina Johnson aka Nightmare. If Miss Johnson thought he hadn't noticed her off handed comment about her codename she was mistaken. She had secrets, he understood that. He hoped they wouldn't haunt her or the Xmen.

He wasn't sure why he was so interested but she had piqued his curiosity and he found nettling her was fun. It reminded him of … he shook his head. He had to stop going there, needed to stop going there. He sighed and walked to the mansion.

A computer screen turn on with a ton of cryptic words along with a picture of a younger Tina, with the sound of a dark laugh. "Soon you shall be within my grasp, my little pet, soon." As a hand rubbed against the screen, before the screen turns off.
