A month and a couple of weeks have past, and Tina's plan seem to have been working. She been getting up early, and train in the danger while everyone else was still sleeping, and been dragging Jubliee out before it got late in the morning, and sometimes dropped her off back at the school before it got too late for her to be out, and venture out on her own. Though going to the mall pretty much every day got boring quick, though other form of entertainment came up in the form of missions. Most of the time she was normally paired up with Scott and Jean, but even that got boring quick as those two were always kissing, and Scott being a by the book sorta guy.

Other times, if all of the cars was in use, Tina normally stayed in her room to paint, draw, listen to music. Sometimes she even start singing and dancing a bit, which got her thinking about one of the accident that had happened right after she was apart of that little experiment.

"Oh please, stop showing up..." Tina looking down at her glowing purple hands, as she was in a small dressing room.

"Rehearsal starts in 5 minutes people!" called the director

A 15 year old Tina looked at herself in the mirror before putting a blue color contact in her right eye, taking a deep breath out, before walking out to the stage. It was about a week until opening day of the new winter musical, so everyone was either trying on costumes or practice their songs and dance moves.

Right when Tina was about to walk onto the stage her hands started glowing again. Quickly she ran behind the curtain, before anyone see her and question what was going on. "Oh why did I ever agree to allow him to use that invention on me..." whispering to herself.

Right above her, one of the grip boys were setting lights on what seem to be a steel catwalk, and right before he was about to replace one of the burn out bulb a blast of purple light shoot up at him, blinding him, causing him to almost fall off of the walk. People started freaking out, and some went to get him down onto the safety of the ground. Then for the remainder of the day, whispers from the cast and crew about what really happened as the guy was kinda in shock to remember what really happened.

"You don't think one of those mutants showed up and is trying to ruin the musical do you?" One of the main girls in the cast ask the other girls.

"Oh that would be crazy, and besides who would hire one of those things to perform with us.." said another

Tina kept silent during the whole time. She couldn't believe that these girls who she thought were her friends would dare to talk about mutants and they didn't really technically knew one. She kept the whole powers to herself, and because of that became more shy, even though know she use to be very out there, it sucked that now she had to be careful about anyone she got close to. But now with this new power that she didn't want, and that was force upon her, and not being able to control it, she had to think long and hard about her next move.

"Tina, hey Tina?" called the main girl in the group, waving her hand in front of Tina's face.

Tina snapped out of it. "Huh what?" blinking hard to get the thoughts outta her head for now.

"I asked did you see what happened to that guy?"

"Oh no, I didn't, though I did hear that he got a face full of light when he was screwing in a new bulb." She was hoping that she could move the topic away from mutants, as the none really knew what really did happened.

"Oh...you are always the smart one Tina, and here we thought those dirty mutants were trying to act like one of us."

"Yeah...a silly idea huh?" Tina removed herself from the group and decided to leave for the day before the other girls did. It was at that moment that she realized that since she couldn't control her new ability and did not want to be downcast as a freak that her mind had been made up, that after the spring musical, that she would leave the stage for good.

Tina shook her head, as if she was trying to clear her mind about what had happened in the past. "Gotta keep her mind off of it." as she grabbed her sketch book, and tried to draw something that would keep her busy.

Hours went by and nothing was being drawn onto the blank sheet, no matter how hard she tried. Admitting defeat she decided that the next best thing was to walk it off, so she opened her bedroom window and slowly climbed down, holding onto the window ledge to keep her from falling until she got to a point where she could jump and be safe, before walking off of the grounds.

Now since it was the middle of the night, the night life was in full swing. Couples were out and about, group of girls and guys were heading to the nearest club, or bar, most of it made Tina's stomach churn with jealousy, as she with pretty much any mutant wanted to be allow to show who they really are, and not have to hide who or what they really were. She sat people glazing for a while until she saw a familiar sight, an obvious couple with the best friend slowly following as the guy looked at her and gave her a head nod like a signal.

Tina got up and left but honestly she wanted to be the crap outta the both guy and the friend who were following them, as she was a part of the group. Though she felt bad about the other girl, the girl friend not knowing that her boyfriend and best friend were stabbing her in the back at the same time, seeing each other behind her back. As she know how it feels to be betrayed like that.

Tina and her best friend at the time Alice were hanging out together, and at the same time Tina had a boyfriend who went by DW and Alice happened to hang out with the two of them all the time, they were like three peas in a pod, did almost anything together. But that all came crashing down when Alice decided to let her in on a little secret.

"Oh c'mon Alice, I never see you this giggly before.." Tina was hounding Alice to let her in on what kept her so bubbly all day.

"Yeah I guess I am!" Alice kept giggling as they were sitting in the middle of a forest.

"Well?" Tina started shaking her. "Please please please…"

"Fine, well when you were doing your musical, me and DW were hanging out, then one thing lead to another…" She kept giggling, not aware that Tina's heart just sank.

"Oh well, congrats.." She put on a brave smile, as they kept talking trying to get off of that subject.

Of course she was more than upset at it, but she had a hunch that those two would had done something like that, after all she had notice the little glaces that DW made towards Alice even though she never thought about putting two and two together, but she tried pushing it to the back of her mind many times when all three of them did hang out together.

After that anytime when DW said he had to do something for their other friend E, she didn't really trust him, and things only got worse when he left mysteriously after Tina's 18th birthday, though she knew where he was, and who he was with. After that she went a little crazy got drunk at her own halloween party and ended up sleeping with a guy she just met name Justin. They had a whirlwind romance, getting marry only five months after they first met, as she hoped that maybe this way he wouldn't leave her like DW did. But they were doom from the start as Justin was always screwing around with old family friends or one of his exes, hell he even been married a few times before even though he was still young. And each time Tina tried to leave him he kept crawling back with the same excuse.

"I love you, I don't love her. Please I will change.." and everytime believe that he would change she took him back, only because she did not wish to be alone any more. But about six months later, he was the one who kicked her out, asking for a divorce so his new wifey and he could get married. Every since then Tina went on to do an online college to avoid being around people, and after that went on a cross country road trip, that lasted for a couple of years before her truck died on her, which is how she ended up in new york state.

Right before midnight Tina snuck back into the school without anyone noticing she was gone, as she quickly rushed up to her room, and locked the door, before passing out on her bed with her normal clothes still on.
