Later on that afternoon right when Tina was emerging from her bedroom, still half dead in sleep she saw a flash of yellow running past her, realizing its was Jubliee "Must be some sort of sale at the mall, because I haven't seen her run that fast ever." Tina thought to herself before heading down to the danger room.

Jubilee was in a hurry alright, Gambit told her to meet him in his room to discuss something with her. The ever so optimistic teen was hoping that maybe he was going to ask her to come on a mission with her, even though every time they did went on a mission together they either got kidnap or she got kidnap. Either way it never ended up as good as she would thought.

By the time she got to his bedroom door, she was already outta breath. "Maybe I should cut back on the Icee at the mall." catching her breath, before knocking on his bedroom door.

Gambit opened the door and bowed with arm outstretched to encourage her to walk in."That was fast kiddo, thanks for stopping in" as Gambit gestured her toward a chair. He closed the door and walked to his bed and seated himself.

Jubilee was crossing her fingers and toes hoping that she could hear the magical words that she have been waiting for ever since she came to the mansion, well after being kidnap many times but that was all water under the bridge now. But that wasn't what Gambit had in mind at all.

"I was wonderin' if you wanted ta go shop at the mall for a little while this afternoon. I need to pick up some cards and I would love to have some company" Gambit thought he hit all the right words, Jubilee and mall were almost synonymous. Jubilee looked slightly disappointed."W'as wrong? Gambit asked her.

"I just thought you wanted to ask me something other than going to the mall, you know like a mission ." She sighed for a moment, before returning to her more cheerful self. Sure it wasn't exactly what she wanted but she wasn't about to give up a trip to the mall. And shopping with Gambit was awesome because he wouldn't let her spend any of her own money, he paid for everything.

"Great, lets go" Gambit smiled at her before the two headed out She would love riding his motorcycle to the mall and as soon as he twirled the keys, Jubilee laughed.

Even though she had an open gateway of money at her disposal which was Remy, she didn't go too overboard with her shopping spree. But she kinda felt like he was doing all of this, so she would do something for him. And right before they were about to leave the mall for the day, it was apparent that there was something boiling away in his head.

"Okay, not that I didn't enjoy a total shopping spree, but what is it that you want?" she flat out said, while carrying her bags.

Gambit acted wounded, and placed his hand over his heart giving her an expression of innocence. Then he finally asked her "how well do you know Tina"? Gambit studied Jubilee's expression. He knew that body gestures were as telling as words.

"Well.." She tried thinking, that even though she kept almost every day of the past month with Tina, she only knew a few things about her. "Well enough that she offered to train me, and go to the mall with me. Most of the time I was the only who was talking, and she just listens….wait why do you care?"

"No real reason, I was just wonderin' and I know the two of ya were spending allot of time together. Why is 'er codename Nightmare?" Gambit was genuinely curious to the name she had chosen.

"I have no clue, why do you go by Gambit?" Knowing well that even he can't answer that. "She just does, I guess she thought it fit with her look, and powers. It does sound a lot better than just going by dream."

"Her powers are dream based?" While he had looked at the files and pretty much knew what everyone could do, he wanted a more practical view of what Nightmare could do based on others she interacted with. "Have you seen her use her powers?"

Jubilee shook her head. "From what she told me, she had to be either sleeping or in a trace, or mediating to use them so no. Though she have another set of powers that aren't mutant based, kinda like how I blow stuff up, she can do too, but she could throw it."

"Interestin', what does she throw, who is training 'er?" Gambit was surprised at how curious he was being. He thought another energy wielder wasn't a bad thing as long as they knew how to hit the target.

"Purple blasts of energy, and Tina trains herself, been doing so as far as she could remember. Though she is also pretty flexible despite fighting in heels."

Gambit snorted a little bit in laughter and thought to himself women pick the oddest things to fight in. "Al'right" he paused before asking "who is her team leader?"

"Well, she tags along with Cyclops and Jean a lot so I guess it would be Cyclops. But why are you asking about her, why don't you go and ask her yourself?" She stood right in front of him, and even though the height difference was obvious, she wasn't going to let him get away without an answer.

"Ahhh, Jubilee .. lookin' for somethin' not there. Cyke puts me in the field and sometimes I end up leading a group. I need to know all the variables. One mistake can get someone hurt. I'll talk with Cyke about her training." Feeling like he gave a good enough answer, "ready to go home?"

"Yeah suuuuure…" She wasn't really buying anything, and figured that he had a deeper motive then what he was leading on, but pretend it to let go of it.

Once they got back at the mansion, Jubilee grabbed all of her shopping bags, and before she went inside, she decided to let him in on a little bit of information that she knew would make him feel a bit jealous or threatened.

"I do know of two little things about Tina. First she tends to buy a lot of color contacts to cover up her right eye's color, and two that she does speed dating every saturday for about a month. But thanks for the shopping trip!" Jubilee skips away into the building in a cheerful manner.

She hoped that her little fib about Tina speed dating won't come back to haunt her. If Remy would confront Tina about it, or ask her about that, Tina would not be so happy that a little sister she had seen in Jubilee would had gone and said that to Remy, a person whom she was already really shy around, and that could possibly lead to Tina avoiding her as well as Remy. She did not want that to happen, so hopefully the little comment did not strike a hard cord with him.

Speed dating?! Gambit thought why would she need to do that, there had to be tons of guys knocking at her door. He dismissed it quickly because he couldn't process the idea at the moment. But the covering of her eye bothered him, he lived his whole life with eyes that created all sorts of reactions from amorous to violent. He understood why someone would cover an obvious mutant trait but he still didn't like it.

He also planned on watching the training footage from the danger room. Once he assessed her skills, he planned on having a word with Cyke about making sure Nightmare could handle missions. He understood the eagerness of being on the team and the feeling of contributing to the team, not to mention getting to look good to Cyclops. But allot of the new ones and young ones were not ready for the reality of what the Xmen encountered daily. It concerned him that the Xmen couldn't take luxuries when they needed to be prepared for anything.
