Another month seem to had gone by in a blink of an eye, and everything was starting to go right for once. Tina's and Remy's relationship while still having a little bit of speed bumps in the road, just like every relationship, it have been going quite well. Tina's nightmares have also started to decrease in range with all of the good energy that been going around her, but something kept her on guard. She really couldn't explain what it is, but she knew all of these positive things were only leading to a huge storm, that was just about to strike.
Remy did live up to his promise that he would help her look for the creep, that caused her troublesome nightmares, but it seem that was an easy job said than done. There were no records of an E at all, and none of his contacts were able to find anything else on the creep. It had seem that E had vanished into thin air, and without leaving a paper trail he might very well not even be alive.
Though Tina knew deep down that she would have to go searching for him herself. So while Remy went on a mission with the main group of X-men, which the only two who stayed behind other the obvious Jubilee, we're Storm and Beast. Tina thought this would be a perfect time to try and find E on her own, knowing that she may not be able to come back if she did. So a day after the others had left, she decided to go and tell Beast that she would be going to do something, and may not be back for a few days, and hopefully he will believed that.
Tina walked to Beast's room, and took a huge breath in before walking in as Beast normally was just reading, and didn't mind if others stopped in for a bit without knocking.
"Here to pick up another one of my artistree books Christina?" Hank asked when he saw her walking in while he was hanging upside down, and as the ever formal beast, he always called her by her full first name.
"Nah not today, I just wanted to let you know that..." She paused for a second to re-say everything that she was going to say out loud in her mind before she actually said it. "I just want to let you know that I'm taking off for a couple of days.."
"Does the Professor know about this?" Beast questioned her, knowing that it was not like her just to take off.
"Yes he does, and before you asked, no I have not told Remy. Apparently the commutation system on the blackbird is shot and they won't be able to get it fixed until they get back." And she wasn't lying, something had cut some of the phone wires that were in the black bird, and the school, and it was small enough to go undetected.
"Very well, just be vigilant out there Christina." Beast knew something was up, but did not wanted to probe her about it.
"Oh don't worry I will..." Tina waved as she left the room, and saw Jubilee in front of her. "Oh hey little sis, what are you doing here?"
"Well, Tina I heard that you are going away for a few days..." Jubilee felt concern since Tina never told anyone where exactly she was going, and she didn't even know that Tina was leaving until she talked to Storm about it.
"Just for a few days, I'll be back before you even miss me alright?" She gave jubilee a tight hug, before she started walking away. "I may even be back before the others get here, so don't worry..."
"Yeah...I know..." Jubilee sighed as she saw Tina walking off. "But I can't help not to.." before leaving the hall herself.
Tina was pretty prepared for whatever may happen to her, as she did ask the professor a while back for a tracking device that she hid inside her boot, and even made a decoy version on her belt out of paper mache and old wires, from all of the devices that Jubliee had shocked accidently. Once she made it out of the school, Tina had turn back in case that this would be her last time looking at it.
Taking a car or even a bike would be an obvious missing thing if she might disappear, so she decided to go on foot. Tina walked to the nearest forest, knowing that E tends to hide in the darkest places, or the places where one could have easily gotten lost. After about four hours wandering around, she finally gotten to the middle of the woods.
"Alright E, here I am..." She yelled out, as her voice echo through the whole forest. Tina looked around, not seeing anything out of the norm, just how Remy told her during their early days of training.
"Come on E, this may be your only chance to get me..." Again the echo went through the forest, and a few birds had flapped their wings before taking off. "Huh I guess your not here after all, or you gave up..."
Tina slowly started to walk out of the center of the forest before hearing the sound of breaking twigs. She started looking around, and then the same sound again was heard from the other direction. She started walking towards where she heard the sound, before hearing something else. It was very faint but it sounded like a whooshing noise, and before she realized what it was, she was too late to move out of the eyes started to get very heavy, and she fell right onto the ground, with two darts sticking out from her back.
A dark laughter was echoing through the forest now, and E emerges from the shadows. "Looks like my hunting days are now up, since I now have my prized rat.." He threw her over his shoulder like she was a hunted animal before walking out of the forest with his prized lab rat.
