Chapter 6: Contacting
Nine o'clock read the clock, the moon has risen, the air is cold, but the Moshimos have settled in for the night. Kiyoshi was resting in his bed when his wife came in after tucking in Takeo into bed. "What do the kids think of the house?" Kiyoshi asked as Miki got into bed. "I'm pretty sure they enjoy it. Takeo seemed delighted about this place when we moved in." Miki replied.
"I guess so. I do enjoy it myself ever since finding it on sale."
"Me too. Oh by the way, did you make plans where the kids are going to school."
"Honey, we just moved in, I think we need to get more acquainted with the town before going out searching for schools, besides we don't know anywhere here except that relator."
"Alright, fine. If you say so."
The telephone rang and Kiyoshi answered it. "Hello," He spoke, Professor Moshimo was on the phone, "Yes, she's right here," He handed the phone to Miki, "It's your brother." Miki picked up the phone, "Hello? Oh, hey Akira! Yes, we just moved in a few days ago and it's great. I know you lived here before after meeting your girlfriend and moving everywhere. Yeah, ok, I'll leave you alone with your lover. Ok, bye!"
"I bet he moved again for hiding and his inventions."
"Your brother is an inventor?"
"Yeah, didn't I tell you that? He was able to create A.I. robots. In fact, he made one a few years ago, but won't show me it or tell me where it is."
"Hmm, that's interesting. Might as well get some sleep."
"Yeah, I guess so, but let's hope that the girls can keep it down, once we drift off, they go crazy."
"Well, good night, Kiyoshi."
"Good night."
Meanwhile, in the other room, Ami and Mikiko were on their laptop when she decided to chat online with her friend, Maya. "Hey are you there?' Ami typed in, "I'm bored ." "No, but I'm here." Maya replied. "ROFL, let's video chat." Ami requested a video chat with Maya with her accepting it.
"Hey, what's up? Having fun back home?"
"Yeah, the same as usual even without you, how about you?"
"We just moved in, it's a nice house."
'Where's your sister? Put her on."
"Hey, Mikiko! Look who's here."
"Hey, Maya. How is it back in L.A?"
"Fine, are you in school yet?"
"Hang on a second. We want get a better angle for talking, it's kind of cramped doing it like this."
Ami and Mikiko got off the bed and turned the laptop to the side of bed. Suddenly, Maya began to show a face of confusion and shock. Ami went beck to chatting, "So what were you saying… Hey are you okay?"
"What is that face behind the window?"
The sisters quickly turned back to the window only to find nothing. They began to get confused, "What are you talking about? We don't say anything." Mikiko replied.
"I swear there was a creepy face behind you. It had two red eyes and a dim yellow mouth. It looked pissed."
"It was probably just you, our camera, or the connection."
"I guess. I'm getting tired; I'll talk to you guys later. Bye!"
"Ok, see you later."
Mikiko ended the chat and the sisters decided to go to bed as well. They got ready, turned off the lights, and fell asleep. However, in the window, the face reappeared and stared at the girls throughout the night.
