Chapter 8: Odd Occurrences
Kiyoshi sat the kitchen table on his computer when his wife walked into the room with a confused and frightened face. "Hey, I found something that might haunt you." Miki declared as Kiyoshi turned to her. "What is it?" he replied. Miki pulled out Takeo's favorite blanket torn to shreds and covered in drool and blood. Kiyoshi was stunned at the ghastly sight, "What happened? Do you think Takeo did this?"
"No! He couldn't of; at least I believe he didn't. He's only five."
"I'm sure he didn't, but I don't know what could've done this."
"Honey, I want to ask you something, do you think something odd is going on in this house."
In his mind, Kiyoshi was relieved that someone else in the house can agree with his situation and beliefs. He began, "I actually do believe so too. Ever since we moved, I've been the main target for these hauntings and every time I wake up, it's always 4 AM. There's also someone or something that keeps haunting me every day."
"Do you think this is going on with the kids?"
"After finding out about the evidence, I believe so. Look, I know that you're thinking that we should get the kids, pack our bags, and quickly get out of here, but we just moved here and we should start fresh."
"What do you think we should do?"
"Didn't you say that there was a local church in town? Why don't you call up a priest and have him bless this house to get rid of what's haunting us?"
"Yeah, I do think it's about time we get some help. I just want to live here in peace and put this ghost to rest or know where it came from."
"We should with no doubt. But for now, if this entity becomes more aggressive, we should take action immediately. Let's try to get through today as normal, okay?"
"We don't know if it will strike again, but I'll try to."
"Good."
Miki left the room to dispose of the torn blanket while Kiyoshi returned to his computer and continued what he was doing. However, unnoticed by him, the sinister face appeared staring at him through the window, but quickly vanished when Kiyoshi thought the presence was here again.
