A/N: So yeah, I'm kinda on a DMC kick, so I'm already working on the next chapter just after I published the last chapter. Dunno why. Probably because I'm playing the DMC Collection. XD That might be it. Well, hopefully you guys don't complain, seeing as people liked the last chapter.

Also, I want to bring up a personal problem I have with the three Devil Arms from DMC 4. Well, not so much a problem with them, more like a problem with where they come from. In DMC, Devil Arms are the souls of defeated demons weaponized for the user. Gilgamesh, Pandora, and Lucifer have nothing to do with Echidna, Dagon, and Berial. As such, those three will give original Devil Arms, and the 'canon' three will be separate demons. Hope you guys are okay with that.

Also, I'm surprised no one on FF has mentioned that a representative from Capcom actually said that Nero is the son of Vergil and a prostitute. Just something I thought I should bring up.

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or Devil May Cry

'Hey'- Demon thought

Let's begin.

"Ugh… what happened?" Groaned a groggy Naruto as he slowly sat up, only to feel a gentle hand push him back down." H-Haku-chan?" His blurry vision only showed him a pale blob, but he could feel the concerned look she was giving him. "I-I'm fine…" He tried to convince her, but his shaky voice and grunting as he held his head ruined that.

"You can't fool me, Naruto-kun. Whatever you did really drained you. You're just lucky killing that thing got rid of the ice or you'd be dead." Haku told him, gesturing to the now slightly warmer shrine. It wasn't freezing, but it was a nice kind of cold.

Now that he was conscious, his youki and devil blood could alleviate him of the headache he was suffering from and healing any wounds he got from Criyogon. Naruto sat back up, holding Haku's hand when she tried to put him back down. "I'm really fine, now, Haku-chan. Are you okay?" He asked her, rubbing his thumb across her palm in concern.

Haku smiled at his concern, a light blush on her cheeks. "I'm fine, Naruto-kun." She wrapped her arms around his neck and captured his lips in a kiss, surprising him slightly until he fell into it, wrapping his arms around her waist. Once they separated, Haku rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes, letting the stress of the day's events take her into slumber.

Chuckling at her, he moved a strand of hair from her face, smiling as she nuzzled his hand. He stood up, carrying her bridal style, and began the journey to the closest town, thankful the hellish weather was gone. He chuckled again at Benihime's squeal at the cute scene.

(The next day)

After letting Haku rest and traveling to the village closest to the border to Kaminari no Kuni, Naruto walked alongside his partner and girlfriend, currently looking over his Bifrost gauntlets. After much practicing (read: waving his arms around like an idiot [those poor trees…]), Naruto found the gauntlets gave him Cryokinesis. Avoiding the obvious horrible pun on its awesomeness, Naruto did what he could to utilize this new ability. These abilities were only limited by his imagination, so he managed to create several ice constructs, as well as controlling waves of ice for various purposes.

While Haku commented on having two weapons of the same elements, Naruto rebutted that Cerberus was mostly about impacts with the supernatural tri-nunchuck created ice, while these gauntlets controlled ice itself, molding it to his will. Then again, he wondered about a collaboration technique between the two weapons…

Well, that was for later. For now, they made it to the border – thankfully without a barrier and demons attacking – and everything seemed to be normal.

"SPAAARDAA!"

"Oh Kami, not again!"Naruto yelled, hiding behind a tree.

Instead of freezing winds and the crashing of a demon running through an old shrine, there came a demonic screech, like a hellish bird, and the crack and roar of thunder and lightning, as well as the flap of massive wings. Daring to move from his hiding spot, Naruto looked to the sky and spied a large figure, a bird of some sort, red lightning following it in the clouds above.

Once the supposed demon was at a sufficient distance from them, they could make out its features. A brown, raptor-like owl with a gaping hole in its chest, swirling demonic energy within, the demons flesh-less skull looked like a circle of bird skulls fused together, all beaks pointing forward, three long tail feathers trailing behind it as it flew. Once it was even closer, it flapped its wings with a greater effort, slowing to a stop and hovering in the air. "SPAWN OF SPARDA! I WILL NOT FAIL MY MASTER THIS TIME! I AWAIT YOU AT THE MOUNTAIN PEAK!" Its piece said, the demon turned and flew to the peak of the mountain overlooking Kumogakure.

"Well… that was random." Haku commented.

"That was Griffon, Mundus' most loyal and oldest soldier. He is a master of wind and lightning, and he has a grudge against Dante for his numerous defeats and humiliating him in front of his master." Vergil informed Naruto, who relayed this information to Haku.

"We'll probably hafta deal with him, won't we?" Haku asked, her face deadpan in annoyance.

"Probably." Naruto confirmed, his expression matching hers. Suddenly his face lit up as he thought of something. "Hey, you think we should meet the other jinchuriki? I know there are two in Kumo." He brought up, Benihime informing him on the trek towards the border.

Holding her chin in thought and supporting that arm with her other, Haku tilted her head cutely and thought it over. After chuckling when Naruto almost glomped her off her feet, she returned the hug and responded. "I believe it would be for the best. You may find comrades in them and their bijuu might tell us something about this Griffon, among other demons in Kaminari." She reasoned.

Nodding, Naruto let her go and headed towards Kumo alongside her, following the path through Thunder Valley. As they walked, Naruto went over the chakra control exercises his father taught him so far. He knew leaf and senbon-balancing, tree and water-walking, and he was working on splitting a waterfall with wind chakra and turning a light bulb on in his hand with lightning chakra, having found he had an affinity for those two elements. They were perfect for kenjutsu: wind for slicing, lightning for piercing.

As such, he learned a couple jutsu for the two elements, but also learned one or two for the others so he wouldn't be limited. He sought to work on all five elements in the future. Thankfully, he worked on Ice Release with Haku and they created a few new techniques together, Haku offering to teach Akyuria, but Naruto declined, saying it was one of her special, personal techniques, and it should stay that way. He also mastered Minato's Rasengan, and was working on variations already, both just by itself and with elements. His father never achieved the latter before his untimely death, so it was up to Naruto to continue his mission. He was going to leave the Hiraishin for a later date, when he progressed in his fuinjutsu teachings.

Before he could think on it further, several blue fires suddenly appeared in their path. From the flames arose human skeletons held within a rusted, iron gibbet, some wielding massive cleavers, others long swords, and others still bearing saw-edged shields. These were Finis Demons, categorized by their weapons respectively: Agonofinis, Terreofinis, and Mortfinis. They are the skeletons of human criminals reanimated with their dark desires. Them being in the human world was a sign that the influence of the Underworld was growing in the Elemental Nations, and a strong power was at work here.

"It can't be Mundus, could it?" Dante conversed with Vergil, keeping their dialogue silent to Naruto.

"There can be no other explanation. He has returned. I'm not at all surprised, truth be told. Each time he was defeated, only his physical shell in this world was destroyed. Unless one goes to the Underworld, he will always return to rule this realm." Vergil gravely informed him.

"Hopefully young Naruto will be strong enough to face him one day. Bearing the sword that sealed the bridge between the realms will aid him, and his growing skills, both human and demon, will make him a force to be reckoned with. The problem is, as his strength grows, so will the attention he'll receive from in this world. But I'm confident he'll be strong enough for them..." Sparda offered his sage advice.

All of Naruto's tenants nodded in agreement, smiling at the bright future of the boy they inhabited.

During their conversation, Naruto and Haku took care of the Finis, for the demons were slow, lumbering, and telegraphed their moves excessively. The ones bearing the shields threw them, the shields spinning and soon returning to them. It was just a matter of knocking aside their weapons and shattering the weak iron of their cages, also breaking the bones within, releasing the curses binding the souls.

"That was... disappointing." Haku commented.

Nodding, Naruto merely walked with her towards Kumo.

(Two hours later)

One long trek later, and the two Devil Hunters found themselves at the gates to Kumo. The unmanned gates. And Kumo appeared to be on fire.

"What the shit?!" Naruto swore, his eyes bugging out of his skull as he spied several demons pillaging the militaristic shinobi village. The Kumo nin were admirably holding them back, but the sheer numbers were slowly overwhelming them.

Quickly assessing what demons were specifically attacking, Vergil found all of the Seven Hells of the Demon Army, governors of those sent to Hell for their respective sins.

Nodding to each other, Naruto and Haku separated to do damage-control, aiding the Kumo nin with their special brand of demon ass-kicking.

Naruto came to the rescue of a trio of Kumo nin being harassed by a gang of three of the Hells, Pride, Envy, and Wrath.

Prides were the weakest Hells, by their numbers made up for their strength. Grey humanoids bearing a resemblance to the Grim Reaper of many a legend, these creatures wore black, hooded cloaks and bandages on their limbs. They had several weapons sticking out of their bodies, but they seemed unaffected by them. They wielded large scythes and dispersed into sand, their medium into the human world, when a shinobi managed to strike one down, but two took its place.

Envy's were skinless creatures with sparse bandages on their limbs and bodies, as well as a strange mask over their faces. They had strange growths on their backs, but so far they served no purpose, even when they were struck right on them. Like Pride, they wielded scythes, but the blades were more serrated, and they had a skull on the heel of the weapon.

Lastly were the Wraths. The most miserable of the Hells, they were tall, dark-skinned creatures with longer arms than normal. One could not tell they were tall, however, due to them perpetually hefting a large, organic sack, which was explosive, apparently, since it detonated when one of the Wraths were struck down. They were most likely the cause for most of the casualties of Kumo shinobi. They had black bandages like the other Hells, but they also had a black leather mask that showed an eye and their mouths sewn shut.

Jumping in front of the crimson-haired, dark-skinned kunoichi that was about to be struck down by a Pride, Naruto caught the scythe in his Devil Bringer, unharmed, and used Rebellion with his free hand to bisect it diagonally. Flipping the scythe in his grasp, since the Pride was now dead, as it fell apart as sand, Naruto used the weapon to stab the back of a Pride about to break through the block of a white-haired shinobi, raking the weapon to the side, tearing its side open and killing it, as both scythes fell to sand as well, the one Naruto wielded having apparently timed out.

"Who the heck are you?!" The girl yelled.

"Talk later, fight now!" Naruto reminded her, brandishing Red Queen in his opposite hand and lunging at the group of Envy's falling upon the pale-skinned, blonde kunoichi that was separated from the other two in the scuffle. Impaling one on Red Queen, Naruto revved the engine and used the force of the push to both slice its head open and swing the blade over his head and complete bisect the Envy to his side. Flipping Rebellion into a reverse-grip, the blade glowing as he concentrated his youki, Naruto swung thrice, blades of energy flying off his weapon, instantly killing the three remaining Envy's.

Before the girl, Samui, could thank him, Naruto moved on to attack a Wrath harassing a shinobi protecting his injured friend, getting its attention with a yell and shoving Ivory in its face, blowing its brains out and collapsing it into sand, actually grabbing the explosive it left behind and tossing it at a group of Pride's that were closing in on a group of shinobi, killing them without getting anyone in the blast radius.

"That was really cool." Samui commented, her smooth voice belying her surprise at his strength and boldness at grabbing the explosive that killed many a comrade. Before she could marvel further, the hiss of one of those skinless demons brought her back to reality and she shot a ball of lightning at it, stunning it long enough for her teammate, Karui, to slice its head off with her tanto.

Naruto ran through Kumo, cutting down all demons he passed by, aiding the shinobi, and meeting up with Haku in the village square, noticing she had only a few scratches but was altogether just fine. "Having fun?" He joked, standing back-to-back with her as they were surrounded by more of the Hells.

"You have no idea." Haku responded.

(Mini-flashback, just after Naruto and Haku parted)

Haku immediately conjured a pair of ice swords and helped the Kumo shinobi fight against these demons, blocking the scythe of one that had burnt skin but wore white cloaks and bandages on its limbs and covering its eyes. Before she could break through its block, the creature disappeared in a cloud of sand, appearing behind her as she stumbled forward from the opposing force disappearing, only to be bisected by a large cleaver before it could attack her.

Turning around to face her savior, Haku found a dark-skinned Kumo Jounin, his messy white hair covering an eye but the visible one managed to easily convey his lazy personality, even as he was in the middle of a demonic invasion. He rested his cleaver on his shoulder with ease, reminding her of Zabuza just a bit. He merely nodded at her and jumped to his comrades' aid, temporarily sheathing his weapon on his back, clasping his hands together in a jutsu, fluorescent lasers shooting from a halo that formed around them, impaling several of the monsters, saving the group of rookie Chuunin protecting an injured veteran Genin.

Nodding back at him, Haku returned to her demon-hunting, fusing her weapons into a broadsword, jumping high up and crushing a Hell that was hefting a spirit-spewing coffin. They were similar to the Envy's she spied Naruto killing, only they had ash-grey skin and leather masks like the Wraths, only the bottom halves were gone, their lower jaws hanging open as they screeched. They carried a large, capsule-like coffin that extended just under the engraved, sleeping child face to show bright lights, from which flew spirits that became reinforcements of the demons. They needed to go.

Tossing the ice-broadsword into the air, Haku had it shatter into shards that killed several Hells or became poles that blocked the scythes of others, protecting several Kumo shinobi, who then broke off the poles and used them as bo staffs, as she grabbed the coffin of the first Greed she killed.

She thanked Naruto for the harsh physical training he helped with, as they both worked on their strength, speed, and endurance; well, the latter for her, since he was both a jinchuriki and an Uzumaki. As such, she had the sufficient strength... for this!

"ORAAA!" Haku yelled as she hefted the large coffin and spun it around, throwing it into a large group of Greeds that separated themselves from the mini-war to keep spawning demons, killing them and destroying the coffins. She panted in temporary exhaustion as the surrounding Kumo shinobi stared at her with gobsmack expressions. Feeling so many eyes on her, she blushed and laughed nervously and ran off to aid other shinobi, hopefully ones who didn't see her go agro for a second.

She made her way to the town square and met up with Naruto.

(Mini-flashback end)

"The ones with the coffins keep summoning more." Haku informed him, as they slowly spun in their place, keeping an eye on all the demons that seemed to be biding their time. They were surrounded by Gluttony's and Lusts.

The former were similar to Prides, but they wielded double-bladed staffs.

The Lusts, however, were a bit more different than its sibling demons. Wearing jester outfits instead of cloaks or bandages, these demons had ash-grey skull-like faces with crimson eyes and large manes of hair sprouting from the back of their heads, and they constantly jumped and dashed around the circle around the two shinobi.

"Yeah. Question is, why are they here?" Naruto offered, narrowing his eyes slightly as he swapped Red Queen and Rebellion for Yamato and Benihime. He managed to get a few hours in for training his 'Yamato Trigger,' but it really drained him to use it for too long. 'Actually...' Naruto thought it over and decided against using it, and switched the blades out for Bifrost and Cerberus. He smirked, deciding to test his theory on combining these two ice-related Devil arms. "Well, until we get our answers, it's time to clean house, Devil-hunter style!" Naruto announced, smirking as the tails of the gauntlets whipped to life and he used his Cryokinesis to make Cerberus float and rotate between his hands."Duck!" He yelled, and both he and Haku did, as he tossed up the spinning Cerberus, channeling his chakra into a technique centered around it. "Hyoton: Keruberosu no Shuriken!" (Ice Release: Shuriken of the Cerberus) With his cry, the ice of the three rods of the Devil Arm grew, turning into a massive ice shuriken with the three heads of its namesake demon carved into the blades, and the giant weapon spun above them, slaughtering the surrounding demons, the Gluttony's attempting to melting the blade with blasts of caustic sand, only to meet a messy end, a handful of Lusts having the forethought to jump out of the way, hopping onto some surrounding buildings as the storm of death passed.

Dispersing the massive blades of ice and having the Devil Arm wrap around his right arm, the three rods pointing down his forearm, he aimed it at some of the Lusts that were closely grouped together. "Reach!" The three rods extended to insane lengths on their chains and speared right for the Lusts, impaling them in the chests and pulling them towards Naruto as he cocked back his left arm, the claws of the gauntlets extending with ice, as he shot it forward, shredding the demons to bits, as he quickly turned the sharp fingers to another group of Lusts. "Hail!" The ice shot off his claws and peppered the demons, killing two and stunning one, as he jumped in front of it and brandished Cerberus, spinning in the air and the three rods impacted with the skull of the final Lust, bashing it down until it caved in, the demon falling apart into sand.

Whooping in exhilaration, Naruto laughed as he spied the Kumo shinobi beginning to push back the demons with the drop in Greeds.

(Three hours later)

Having successfully finished off the last of the Hells, Kumo began repairs of the village as the trio Naruto saved and the shinobi that aided Haku escorted the two to the Raikage, who asked for them to both thank them for helping and ask why they were here in the first place.

Naruto got to know the three shinobi he saved, finding they were only genin, but were on the cusp of Chuunin. Karui, Omoi, and Samui thanked him for helping them, though Karui was rather mistrusting of him due to his status as a foreign shinobi. Omoi began overanalyzing his presence here, spouting nonsense like he brought the demons here then came to stop them to be seen as a hero to Kumo to pull some favors. His ramblings were cut short by the unified bopping he received from Naruto and Karui at his idiocy. After that, Karui began to see him as a close friend. The weirdest things make people like you...

Samui commented on how 'cool' he was when he both saved her and wiped out the demons in the square. She inquired about his Ice Release and numerous weapons, but was rebutted with the natural personal rule of a shinobi keeping their secrets.

Haku inquired about that laser technique her savior used, finding his name to be Darui. He explained that it was Storm Release, as he was the only shinobi in Kumo with the sub-element. He also mentioned that what she saw was the only technique. He sweatdropped when she called him out on his laziness.

Before the shinobi could banter any further, they were brought to the Raikage's office, and Naruto and Haku walked in by themselves, spying both the shattered desk and large hole in the wall to the village.

They also spied a gargantuan man lifting barbells as he signed documents for village repairs. The Raikage, A, was a very built man, almost always shirtless, showing the Fuuma shuriken tattoos on both shoulders. He had platinum blonde hair combed back, a sharp moustache and beard, pronounced cheekbones and tear troughs under his eyes, a prominent crease on his forehead, and a darker upper lip that his lower. He wore large golden bangles on his forearms and a golden belt with a boar, a green sash over his left hip, black pants with tattered sleeves, showing his white shinguards with three red stripes, and black sandals. Upon noticing he had guests, specifically the foreign shinobi that aided his men against the demons, he put down his barbell and pen and stood up to greet them, towering over them and scaring Haku slightly at the shadow he cast, as she hid behind Naruto. "So, you're the shinobi that helped my men against the demons? I thank you for that." A nodded, giving a toothy grin, which Naruto returned, completely unfazed by the gargantuan man.

"No problem. It's kinda my job. And it's just damn fun." He responded, eliciting a boisterous laugh from A at the idea of fighting those demons for sport.

"I like you, gaki. What's your name?" A asked.

"I'm Naruto Uzumaki Sparda." He offered, Minato mentally warning him against including his surname, due to his past with the Raikage and the whole issue of enemies far and wide that would love to take their frustrations out on his hide. Almost no one knew he married Kushina, so including her surname was okay, and it was just fine to include Sparda. Eyes lighting up in thought, Naruto stepped to the side, putting Haku on the spot. "And this is Haku-chan, my partner." He added.

Haku squeaked lightly as A scrutinized her and she shook slightly. Give her demons any day; A was just so fucking huge! She almost cried in relief when his attention returned to Naruto.

"What did you mean by fighting those demons were your job?" He asked the white-haired youth.

Naruto scratched his head as he thought it over. "Well, there's been a recent influx in demon activity and I plan on following in my ancestors footsteps by opening a business of a gun-for-hire against them. I have weapons specially made for fighting demons and a Kekkei Genkai where I can make weapons out of the big ones." Naruto half-lied; his ability as a Sparda couldn't really be classified as a Kekkei Genkai since he wasn't born with it in his blood… technically, but it was essentially true. He thought about opening his own Devil May Cry shop like Dante had. He even already had his own sexy assistant. "Speaking of which, where did the demons come from?" He asked.

Filing that information away for later, A returned to his workout bench and returned to his work/workout. "They came from the mountains. We never saw them coming. There's also been an influx of thunderstorms, with red, purple, and yellow lightning. People have reported seeing a giant bird at the peak and the fabled Rokubi no Itachi sequestering into the mountain catacombs." He informed him.

Naruto narrowed his eyes at the mention of purple lightning and the Rokubi. A weasel of lightning, its cries of thunder heralded storms that would both water crops and flood villages; a temperamental beast, it kept itself away from human settlements in the last hundred years. To hear activity about it so close to a major village was confusing, and interesting.

At the mention of purple lightning, Dante chimed in. 'Sounds like Nevan.'

'Who?' Naruto asked, almost jumping at the sudden noise in his head.

"The Lightning Witch. I met her in the Temen-ni-gru when Vergil was an ass." Dante explained cheekily, smirking at his brother who turned away in shame.

"I said I was sorry, dammit." Vergil insisted.

Ignoring that for Naruto, Dante continued. "Watch out for her, kid. She's feisty and merciless. She'll also probably try to seduce you into letting your guard down."

'Got it.' Naruto mentally nodded and returned to reality. "Thank you, Raikage-sama. We'll be on our way to do some eviction." He informed A, walking out with the shaken Haku.

A blinked in confusion at his readiness to go against a bunch of demons. "O... kay." he said slowly, the fact he just inadvertently sent two children to their doom not sinking it fully.

(Outside of Kumo, Mountain Path)

"Why were you so afraid of him?" Naruto asked his partner and girlfriend.

"He... he was just so big. He was like a tower, or some kind of monster." Haku answered meekly, blushing lightly. It was a sort of pseudo-fear she had of people so much bigger than her. She felt better when Naruto consoled her in a hug. She giggled when he rubbed his whisker cheek against hers.

"Aw, my Haku-chan is afraid of tall people." Naruto teased.

"Sh-shut up." Haku whined as her blush intensified. "Let's just get to the mountain and kill these demons." She brought up as they continued down the path.

Chuckling at her, he unsealed his new weapons, Coyote-A and Blue Rose, after getting them from the metallurgist in Nami before they left. The shotgun and double-barrel revolver, due to the schematics he gave the man, could channel both his chakra and youki, enhancing the bullets and giving them different properties depending on how much he channeled. So far, he could make the rounds explosive, bounce off multiple opponents and objects, and hone in on a single enemy, or more if he shot more bullets.

Within an hour they found themselves at a large door engraved with a bat-like demon surrounded by lightning and smaller bats. Slid between two loops for closing the door was a large sword, sort of a cross between Red Queen and Zabuza's Kubikiriboucho; it had a metal handle with an orange gem in the bottom. The blade had no guard, as the handle merged into the blunt side of the blade, a red plate connecting them as a crimson line separated the back and the blade, which was silver, the blade curving from the point down, curving out slightly, then going straight down to where a guard would be.

Suddenly the blade slid forward, flipping down when it reached the end of the black staff, revealing a circular mechanism that supported its current form from being broken if it was used, a haunting red glow emanating from wheel, as a shadow-like substance began to bubble from the glow, soon forming a humanoid blob with no legs, a system of red veins branching from its 'spine', down its arms, which ended in massive claws with red tips, and two glowing orbs of red in its 'head.' The sword that functioned as a lock for the gate was inside its body, acting as a sort of heart, as the creature began to stabilize and develop finer details. It thinned slightly in the 'waist' area, its shoulders broadened and became sharp, like the shoulders of a coat, as two ribbon-like tails tipped with red blades grew from its shoulder blades, and spikes formed out the back of its head like hair.

"I am the Gatekeeper, Ragna the Bloodedge. I was once human, but in death, my soul was bound to this sword, Blood-Scythe, and corrupted with shadow, and now I serve my master. Please, I do not wish to fight, but I cannot let you pass. Either leave or strike me down and free me." The creature spoke, its deep voice distorted with its form and anguish.

Frowning at this supposed master's actions, Naruto responded. "Who is your master? Who did this to you?" He asked.

"I don't remember. Whenever I try, I see emptiness where his face should be, and I hear static when his name is said." Ragna unfortunately responded. "No more talk. If you won't leave, my body will fight you. Free me from my torment, child of Sparda!"He roared, lunging at Naruto against his will.

Smiling sadly, Naruto nodded and brought Red Queen forward to block the claws of his right hand, grappling the left with the large copy of his Devil Bringer. Knocking him back, he held Red Queen in both hands and swung down, slicing off his left claw, only for the limb to reattach to his arm and swing forward, throwing Naruto back as Haku ran forward, creating a wave of ice spikes that stabbed into his body, but he was unaffected save for the spike that hit the sword within him, causing him to roar and slither back.

"Naruto-kun, the sword is his weakness!" Haku pointed out to the white-haired Devil hunter as he climbed out of the pile of trees his flight knocked down.

"Then let's see how it likes this!" Naruto yelled as he sealed Red Queen and brandished Ebony & Ivory, sending forth a wall of bullets when Haku jumped up to aid with her rain of ice senbon.

The darkness around its torso solidified into ribcage-like segments that closed around the sword, the bullets bouncing off it harmlessly. It crossed its massive claws in front of it, growing spikes, that it sent flying with a swipe of them, sending its own projectiles. Naruto blocked by unsealing Rebellion and spinning it quickly in his hand, creating a shield that saved him from various puncture wounds, as Haku was fast enough to dodge them completely. Switching to a reverse grip, Naruto sent a blade of energy at Ragna, following it but hidden by its width, smirking when it dispersed upon hitting Ragna's shield and surprising the hero-turned-slave, and shoving his blade right between the segments, punching the bottom of the pommel with his Devil Bringer, ignoring his cries of pain, and shoving his claws into the wedge he created, using all his strength to tear it open and bringing Ebony & Ivory forward, shooting the hell out of the blade, as it was revealed to be a sort of core disguised as the sword, as each hit chipped away at its surface, revealing a red glow underneath. When Ragna regained his bearings, he smacked Naruto off, closing his damaged ribs and creating more solid armor, soon taking a more human form, a shadow of the man he was before he died, before the thin red veins across its body came to the surface and became solid red lines, trailing down his arms and legs with circles at the elbows and knees, zigzag patterns at his wrists, waist, and ankles, a demonic grin design across his face, and two lines on the sides of his head trailing down his hair. Slamming his palms together, he conjured darkness in his hands and lengthened it into a sword, which he brought down on Naruto's head, only to be blocked by Haku's pair of frozen swords.

Pushing him off, Haku threw them like spears, impaling his shoulders, but he only grunted before he pulled them out and tossed them aside. He brought his sword up in time to block Haku's tri-shuriken of ice. He grunted again when another three were embedded in his side, forcing them out as red lines burst from the 'wound' and attempted to spear her, but she conjured an ice shield and brought it up and used its razor edge to cut them, as they were sort of like ribbons. She snapped off a spike from the shield and reformed it into a sword handle.

"Hyoton: Shinso!" (Ice Release: God Spear) Thrusting it forward, a blade of ice shot from the slot in the handle, stabbing him in the head and extending well pass him. Twisting it and swinging, she took a chunk out of the side of his head and brought it back to bisect him diagonally, creating a massive gash across the now orb-like core within him, as he roared in agony.

Taking this chance, Naruto burst from the canopy above them both, holding Rebellion and Red Queen in his hands, Yamato in his teeth, and Force Edge in the crook of his right elbow. Time seemed to slow down as he descended on Ragna, slamming his boot into the gatekeepers face, knocking him down as he stood above him and began his plan. He stabbed Rebellion and Red Queen into his biceps, retrieving Yamato and Force Edge from their odd places and stabbing them into his thighs just above his knees, keeping him in place. He conjured Bifrost and held his right hand in a knife position, a blade of ice growing over them.

"Thank you…" Ragna whispered as Naruto thrust the blade into the core in the center of his body.

In an explosion of darkness and a red glow, Ragna died and disappeared, leaving behind the sword he slept in that kept the gate closed, which Naruto picked up. Wielding Blood-Scythe, Naruto clenched his hands around the handle, causing the blade to slide up and flip over, entering its scythe form, and he swung it, cutting several trees while leaving a wave of darkness that shot bullets, taking down more trees. Resting it across his shoulders, the wheel at the heel of the blade widened, opening a dark portal where a claw similar to Ragna's first form stretched out, but sunk back in as the wheel shrunk and the blade returned to its dormant state. Sealing it away, Naruto walked forward with Haku as the door creaked open, silently furious at this supposed master that took the soul of a hero and turned it into a monster for his bidding. Just as they started their journey into the tunnels within, a creature jumped down into their path. Preparing to fight, thinking it was a demon, they were sort of right.

Standing before them was the Rokubi no Itachi, a yellow weasel with a sharp coat and purple highlights, six tails twitching behind it. Right now, it was the size of a house cat and just looked at them, its black nose twitching. It didn't seem to want to fight, as it ran down the hall a bit and looked back at them.

"Does it… want us to follow?" Haku asked, thoroughly confused.

"I… think so." Naruto responded, in the same boat as her. After they sheathed their weapons, they walked towards the Rokubi as it ran down the hall, stopping now and then to watch them catch up. Once they got the message, they began to run after it, following it through the maze they found themselves in, idly wondering about the impossibility of a mountain – a large mountain, yes, but not large enough for this – holding this maze, and who knows what else.

As they traveled deeper into the catacombs, they noticed some holes in the walls near the ceiling, revealing… the night sky. What?

"It would appear that Griffon, or the person that brought him back, has opened a door to the Underworld within this mountain, distorting the space around it." Sparda mused.

'Why is it such a big deal that Griffon's back? Did you guys bring him here for me to collect all the Devil Arms?' Naruto asked the question that was on his mind recently.

"You don't get a Devil Arm from him. At least, not to my knowledge. Old man, did you do something?"Dante asked his father.

"No, I did not convert Griffon's soul to become a Devil Arm." Sparda answered, but with an almost invisible smirk that no one noticed, save for Minato and Benihime, who narrowed their eyes at him.

'What're you planning?' Benihime thought to herself, knowing it wouldn't be a danger to Naruto, but still curious.

Naruto narrowed his eyes at this information; if Griffon wasn't a Devil Arm, why was he here? He couldn't think on it further as three streaks of lightning shot through the holes in the walls, manifesting into a trio of new demons for them to face.

Feral demons clad in dark blue armor around their torso's and thighs, red-purple scales on the revealed flesh, and bone-like material on their claws, back of their upturned heels, and their entire heads, only a jagged swirl where the eyes should be, as they were blind, flanking a tall horn. It roared at them, revealing large fangs and lashing tongues, as lightning traveled over their bodies. These were Blitz, elite foot soldiers of Mundus in his days of ruling the demon world.

Vergil informed Naruto that these creatures were blind and tracked their preys movement with sound and smell; as such, it was possible to trick them into attacking each other. He also warned him against using melee attacks until their lightning shields were down, as they would be unharmed and the electricity would hurt them, also leaving them open for attack due to their proximity in their attempts. Relaying this to Haku, they agreed on bringing down the lightning at a distance. Brandishing Ebony and Ivory as Haku pulled out her senbon, they began peppering the nearest Blitz, causing the other two to charge at them due to Naruto's guns.

Separating, Naruto drew their attention as Haku continued to attack the third since her throws were much quieter than Naruto's bullets. Switching his handguns for the Coyote, Naruto swung it around himself like a pair of nunchucks, pulling the trigger when their close proximity brought them near him, bringing down their shields and knocking them back slightly. Lunging towards the nearest Blitz, he brandishes his Devil Bringers and began to beat on it, throwing in a few kicks now and then, ending with an uppercut. Using the momentum to carry himself into the air as the demon flew back, Naruto threw Red Queen after it, impaling it to the ground, using a platform of devil energy to jump in the air a second time to land on the Blitz, grabbing the handle of his sword and revving it, setting the Blitz ablaze and skating across the ground, bringing out Yamato and slashing at it as he moved about, crashing into the second Blitz as it got up from the ground, kicking off his 'ride' and taking Red Queen.

As Naruto had his fun, Haku was facing against a single Blitz, using her Hyoton: Akuma no Nigiri (Ice Release: Devil's Grasp) to bash it around with the giant ice fists. After the beat down, Haku had the giant limbs go into a knife position as they broke down into masses of ice lances, and thrust her hands forward, sending them like a storm of death.

The Blitz roared at the attack and formed a ball of lightning in its claws and shot a large beam forward, disintegrating the lances and continuing towards Haku, causing her to curse and jump out of the way, bringing down a mess of trees and unintentionally taking the arm of one of the Blitz fighting Naruto.

The demon roared in agony and erupted in red lightning, dispersing into a bolt and jumping around the room, appearing behind Naruto and spearing him on its horn, roaring to the ceiling as it was bathed in lightning, committing suicide and aiming to kill Naruto.

Unfortunately for the Blitz, the second its horn pierced his back, he disappeared in a poof of smoke, revealing itself to be a Kage Bunshin, one of the first techniques Minato taught Naruto.

Naruto smirked from behind the second Blitz as he formed a sphere of chakra in both his hands and thrust them into the small of its back. "Tsuin Rasengan!" The dueling rotations tore at its hide as their compressed power sent it flying forward. It crushed a tree with its impact but soon stood back up, roaring as it was bathed in yellow lightning again, its shield returning. "Well shit." Naruto cursed, unsealing Blood-Scythe and immediately going into its scythe form, conjuring the portal it created to the Shadow Realm and sending a salvo of dark projectiles, each impact pushing the demon back and eventually bringing its shield right back down. Summoning five clones, Naruto had them all unseal the swords of the four devils and bijuu inside of him, creating a circle as they all began slashing at it.

With a final thrust from the six Naruto's, the Blitz was eradicated, exploding in a pillar of red lightning, which they jumped away from, the clones sealing the weapons, then dispelling, the original sealing Blood-Scythe. He turned to Haku's fight, catching her final move as she swung a large ice broadsword, several smaller copies left in its swipe, soon flying towards the Blitz she had pinned with a frozen spire, riddling its body and killing it, the ice shattering with the ensuing lightning storm that signaled its end.

She shattered her ice sword and sighed in relief that the last of the demons were gone. Turning to Naruto, who in turn looked to the Rokubi, they continued their journey down the hall until they entered a large chamber that looked like it was designed by someone with a massive M. C. Escher boner; upside-down, sideways, crisscrossing stairs filled the room, some ending in ethereal portals that no doubt connected some to others. As they passed under the archway to the room, their bodies were engulfed purple pillars and they felt a strange sense of emptiness. Upon attempting to just chakra-leap to the exit in sight, they found their chakra was sealed!

"What the shit?!" Naruto cursed.

"I guess this means no cheating." Dante commented inside Naruto's mindscape.

Relaying that to Haku, Naruto grimaced at the maze before them; just looking at it hurt his eyes. Sighing in frustration, they resigned themselves to taking the long way. Climbing up the only set of stairs connected to their plane, they strode forward until they realized they were upside-down. Shrugging off that unsurprising fact, they continued until they came to a portal. Naruto volunteered (read: lost at Rock, Paper, Scissors) to go through, and once it was deemed safe, yet slightly nauseating from the rapid change in placement and momentary loss of footing, Haku followed, and they continued.

This went on for a good ten minutes, going this way and that, up, down, all-around, and even moving around some sets of stairs when they came to a corresponding switch, they finally made it to the exit, again bathed in a purple light, their chakra returning.

Staving off the migraines at the sheer pointlessness of that, they marched on, coming to two portals. At least, in theory there were two.

"No, it's over here." Naruto argued, pointing to the only portal he saw, to the left of them.

"No, it's here." Haku countered, pointing right.

"I'm telling you, there's nothing over here." Naruto said, walking to the right and knocking on the blank wall, only hitting hard stone. However, Haku saw that a barrier of glowing symbols blocked his hand.

"Okay, clearly, there are two portals, but we can only see one and not the other. How about we just go through one and hope they meet up at the same place?" Haku offered.

Finding that made a bit of sense, as some form of optical illusion probably isn't beyond the demon realms capabilities, Naruto nodded. "Fine. See you on the other side." He hugged her and exited through his portal, Haku walking through hers.

(With Naruto)

The second he stepped out of his portal, Naruto was forced to jump to avoid the purple lightning that would have incinerated his leg. Again, he had to dodge a bolt aimed for where he was. Having no time to think, only react, Naruto ran and jumped through the black abyss he found himself in, desperately avoiding the storm of electricity that aimed to kill him. Even using clones was pointless, as the lightning seemed to know which was the real Naruto. Speaking of a 'real Naruto,' some bolts of lightning heralded the arrival of demons Vergil called Plasma's, one-eyed masses of lightning that formed into either a bat or a copy of him. Shooting the eye killed them, but attacking with any of his swords bisected it, multiplying their numbers. Well fuck. Time to get gun-fancy!

Running across the field of darkness, Naruto shot out the eyes of any Plasma's that were in his line of sight, taking out the copies that weren't nearly as handsome as him, as their eyes took up their faces. Using one as a foothold, layering his boot with devil energy to protect it from frying, Naruto purposely attacked the airborne Plasma's with his swords to increase their numbers, creating more skyward steps, until he was high above the demons, summoning eleven clones as they all prepared their projectile techniques, six clones unsealing Yamato, Benihime, Blood-Scythe, Rebellion, Bifrost, Mist Bringer, four running through hand seals, the last clone bringing both his hands forward, the index and middle fingers pointing towards the demons below, and the original preparing a platform of demon energy to spin himself in the air.

"Summoned Swords!"

"Nake!"

"Shadow Nails!"

"Drive!"

"Hail!"

"Mist Bullets!"

"Fuuton: Renkudan!"

"Katon: Gokakyuu no Jutsu!"

"Raiton: Gian!"

"Hyoton: Tsubame Fubuki!"

"Byakurai Rendan!" (White Lightning Barrage)

"Rainstorm!"

All of the Naruto's yelled in unison, launching their attacks like a rain of death, ethereal swords, crimson explosives, spikes of darkness,a blade of energy, sharp icicles, balls of compressed corrosive mist, projectiles of wind and fireballs, spears of lightning, swallow-shaped senbon of ice, spears of lightning launched with continuous finger-jabs, and bullets. In a grand explosion of elements and power, the demons below them were eradicated, and Naruto dispelled his clones, quickly catching his breath after the drop in chakra and youki.

After the dust settled, Naruto finally came to an exit when he entered an archway in the middle of nothing, appearing in a frozen-over room, frost, icicles, and snow everywhere. Slightly confused, and more than a bit perturbed, Naruto continued on, cursing when his subconscious suspicions were confirmed; spears of ice shot out of the ground, intending to gore him.

Dodging and using them as footholds to remain airborne, as the ground suddenly came to life, wishing him only pain, Naruto was at least thankful for a more physical obstacle in his way. Unlike lightning, you can break ice!

Wielding Red Queen and Yamato, Naruto set about surviving this room, as it seemed the exit would appear after a certain amount of time, Naruto jumped across the frozen spires, destroying any that got in his way or too close for comfort. Using Yamato's Summoned Swords to create steps along the wall, Naruto yelped when the last one was destroyed right under his foot, an extremely long spike stretching across the length of the room. With a wall of spikes being his only other option, Naruto ran down the lengthy spire, soon sliding on his knees and switching his swords for Ebony and Ivory, quickly shooting any spikes that got in his way on the way down.

Once he reached the end, he jumped off his ride just as the wall he was heading for exploded with spikes. The second his feet touched the floor, a portal opened behind him and he back flipped into it, dodging the final spikes that were coming for him. Looking around, he appeared to be in a similar area as the lightning realm, minus the lightning. It was perpetual darkness, and it unnerved him. Unsealing Blood-Scythe and shifting it into its scythe form, he activated its portal to darkness and tapped the blade against the ground, sending out a shockwave of faint red energy, revealing what was in here with him.

Demons. Lots and lots of demons. Black, reptile-like creatures - similar to Blades/Assaults, Vergil compared - with red eyes and red lines carved into their obsidian flesh as if they were stone lined every inch of the walls and ceiling of the dark room, all staring at him.

"FUUUUUUU-!"

(With Haku)

"Shit, shit, shit, shit!" Haku chanted as she hopped across the floating stones caught in the tornado she found herself in. Of course, as with all tornadoes, especially when you were inside them, it was windy as shit in here, so the torrential winds were interfering with her footing, more than once blowing her right off her foothold, though she thankfully caught herself with platforms of ice. There didn't appear to be any real exit; perhaps she had to tough it out?

"KRAAAAAAH!"

Of course, these fuckers sure weren't helping!

Demons of wind with stone-like armor on their arms, torsos, and head, carved with the faces of screaming souls and a helmet of a scowling oni, tornado-like tails replacing legs, blasts of wind shooting from their shoulder blades keeping them aloft, they wielded stone sword handles, which they pointed at Haku, launching blades of wind at her to blast her off of the stepping stones.

Their armor was too tough for long-range attacks; she only killed one by chance when she, in frustration at their constant pot-shots, jumped right at one and cleaved it in two with an ice broadsword, the armor apparently keeping it together, as once it was gone, it dispersed into the ether. Smirking at the other demons after finding their weakness, receiving a disturbing pair of scared whimpers, she attacked them and cleaved their armor off, sighing in relief when, with their deaths, a portal appeared, and she jumped in, immediately regretting it when the blast of heat hit her full-on.

A lava world. Joy.

Taking refuge on a small island of stone, Haku was stranded in a sea of lava, various stepping stones popping out of the 'ocean,' only to soon be engulfed once again. Feeling the descent of her haven, she cursed and jumped for the nearest stone, layering her foot with chakra to protect it from the heat. She continued this dangerous game of leap-frog, only to be harassed by wads of lava that took the form of tiny bats. A quick senbon took care of them, but they came too close to hitting her more than once.

Finally, she came to a much larger island of stone, finally able to catch her breath, only for the gurgling roars of impending demons to meet her ears.

Crawling from the molten liquid came a new breed of demons, nothing she remembered from the archives Naruto relayed to her from Vergil. Creatures made from the lava, various parts of their bodies cooled down to form a cohesive humanoid shape, claws on their hands and feet, these demons were the Molten Armada, the mindless droves of a much higher power of the fire element. At first, they seemed normal, until one of them let the lava that formed its fingers drip down, creating much longer claws, bringing the claws of its right hand together and lengthening it into a blade.

Another Armada broke the slab within its left arm, releasing the cage that kept it in an arm shape, forming it into bladed tendrils.

One of the demons actually turned on its own and, forming its right arm into a blade, sliced it at the waist, causing the torso to fall to the ground, bonding with the remaining legs to become a sort of centaur, turning its left arm into a shield of circulating lava, horns forming from the sides of its glowing head.

The torso on the ground immediately adapted to its loss of mass and grew a spine of lava that lengthen into a tail with a slab of stone forming a blade, spiked rocks sticking out of its back as it supported itself with its arms.

The Centaur Armada seemed to be the leader, as it aimed its bladed arm and Haku and screeched, its comrades jumping into action to kill her.

Retaliating, Haku unfortunately found most of her ice techniques were ineffective in this world. Only techniques that conjured considerably thick constructs of ice survived, if shrinking slowly from the heat. Forming a massive club of ice, she managed to crush several Armada's before it finally melted out of her hands. However, that same water, when touching the molten flesh of a few of the demons, solidified the liquid into stone, freezing the unfortunate limb of the demon, soon shattering with its attempts to move it. The limbs didn't regenerate, as the demons had to actively leave her alone to go to the edges of the island and dip their stumps into the surrounding lava to reform it. That provided much needed breathing room; smirking at them, Haku thanked her lucky stars that her Kekkei Genkai allowed her to conjure water from nothing.

Channeling a large amount of chakra, Haku jumped into the center of the island and unleashed her technique, a massive pool of water exploding from beneath her, cooling the legs of the surrounding demons, causing them to stumble and fall, more parts of their body freezing, as they attempted to wiggle their way to Haku to attack her. Various bullets exploded from under them and shot them into the air, solidifying large parts of their body as the water bullets converged in the air above them into a dragon. "Suiton: Suiryu Kobaku!" With a roar, the dragon plummeted the demons into the ground, turning their entire bodies to stone and shattering them on the ground.

Panting lightly from the amount of chakra she poured into that technique, Haku sighed in relief when a portal opened and she jumped in, appearing in a cavernous throne room, the actual throne on a ledge above the floor. Looking around, she turned to a portal that opened near her, a moderately toasty Naruto falling out of it onto his back, eyes wide with madness, his clothes torn slightly, burns on his body, and his arms instinctively swinging his fists as he seemed to be cursing at nothing. "Naruto-kun?" She questioned in concern.

"Ehh-what?!" Naruto yelled, jumping to his feet and brandishing Rebellion, holding it shakily and looking around. Seemingly spotting something, he began swinging it wildly. "Aah, get away! Get the fuck back! Go fuck yourselves with a fork!" He yelled desperately.

"Naruto! Naruto!" Haku grabbed his shoulders and began slapping him fiercely. After about ten seconds of slapping, he finally stopped trippin' balls and caught her hand, shaking his head until he, somehow, shook off being messed up.

"Okay, okay! I'm fine!" Naruto yelled, as Haku seemed to insist on slapping him still.

"INSIGNIFICANT FOOLS! BE SILENT!"

"Oh shit." Naruto and Haku said together as they turned to the voice, only to face a multi-element wyvern leering at them.

A head and neck of lava, multiple rings of stone shaping its throat and large slabs creating its face, a trio of horns carved from the rock, two flowing back, one curved forward. Its right wing, a powerful limb with a purple, armored hide, similar to the Blitz, with bone-like material separating the 'fingers,' framing the muscular upper arm, and encasing said 'fingers,' as purple lightning blazed where there would be webbed flesh. Its left wing followed a similar pattern; only the scaled flesh was slightly transparent, stones forming the fingers of its wing as solid masses of wind completed the limb. It had a body of darkness, pulsating shadows with crimson eyes and fanged jaws surfacing along its body, only to sink back into emptiness. Its hind legs and tail were masses of ice cut to imitate the limbs, somehow moving as if they were alive, spikes flowing from the upper curve of its hips, 'webs' of frost connecting them, its lower legs massive flawless crystal-like icicles. The end of its tail had twin trails of large crystals, carving into the stone as it swayed behind the monster.

Behind the wyvern was the source of the voice, a great demon that sat in a stone throne like a king, a massive chain in his hand, wrapped around the neck of the faux-dragon, a leash for its pet, as he rested his chin on his fist, a second pair of arms resting on a higher pair of armrests.

A massive demon, 20' tall, rippling with muscles, especially his four arms, his only clothing a pair of shorts, this humanoid monster had a helmet-like head, four vertical slits instead of a face. Other than that, he was incredibly unremarkable.

"I see you have survived my pets gauntlet, Sparda and human female. I am sure you have encountered various other lesser creatures who have said you will die, and they have clearly fallen. But I speak the truth when I say this: you will die. You will not leave this mountain. Even if you were to best my pet, nothing you can do can hurt me." The demon 'assured' him, rising from his throne.

"What makes you so sure? You have no armor, no weapons, and we will eventually bypass any guard you have." Naruto countered, pointing Rebellion at the demon.

"My name… is Gilgamesh." The demon revealed, his skin turning into metal, segmented armor covering his body as he formed gauntlets, greaves, and a small wing pack. On his forearms were drill-tipped thrusters that folded into his arms, circular plates popped out the sides of his heels and formed buzzsaws, folding back in after a quick spin, and a plate on the center of his back with a demonic, fanged face with tiny, seemingly useless wings. On the gauntlets, greaves, and wings were tribal markings glowing with red and purple ethereal lights.

Eyes wide, Naruto couldn't believe it. Dante explained that Gilgamesh was the Devil Arm he received after defeating Echidna, the She-Viper. The armor didn't have a demon form, and was used to destroy her Hellgate. "That's impossible! You're not supposed to have a body!" Naruto attempted to reason.

"That was then, and this is now. I awoke with a body, instead of sleeping as a Devil Arm like before. Blame Sparda for this, for I know you hold him." Gilgamesh responded.

'Is this true, Sparda-jii-san?' Naruto mentally asked, while preparing himself as the newly born Gilgamesh sat back down in his throne, his pet roaring as it lumbered towards them.

"Yes. I endeavored to challenge your strength by imbuing bodies on Devil Arms that were found simply sitting there. I know you can defeat this oaf. Despite this situation, Gilgamesh did exist before he was a Devil Arm sealing Berial. He was a general of Mundus, leading a sect of demons touted as being creatures of ultimate defense. While his bravado shows arrogance, breaking through that metal will not be easy, for in this state, he is completely made of it. He bears a curse that turns his flesh into metal, so there is no weak spot under the armor." Sparda explained coolly.

Blinking in surprise, Naruto eventually smirked. 'Well then, this should be fun. But first, we get past his guard dog.' Naruto thought.

Charging alongside Haku, they met the wyvern halfway, jumping over its attempted bite, using a Stinger midair to avoid landing on its molten skin, Haku creating large ice platforms to hop over the same obstacle, landing on its body of darkness, only to realize her mistake when she spied Naruto slashing at demons rising from its shadowy skin attempting to pull him on, meeting the same fate once she touched down. She conjured a pair of ice swords, idly complaining she needed to get a weapon of her own so she wouldn't keep wasting chakra because her senbon were useless in terms of affecting these demons. Then again, she would need to survive this ordeal to get a weapon, so that thought would be put on the backburner for now. Stabbing and slashing at the obsidian, crimson-lined demons, Haku made her way to the back of the creatures neck, finding that, since this creature was the source of the trials she and, surely, Naruto endured, the weaknesses they found in those realms should be effective here.

"Suiton: Teppodama!" Spitting a large orb of water, steam erupted from the patch of 'flesh' it hit, dissipating to reveal that the lava had indeed harden into stone, only for the slab to shatter and be replaced with more lava, negating the damage done; the wyvern didn't even seem fazed by the attack! Cursing it, she conjured a stronger water technique. "Suiton: Suiryudan!" The water dragon drilled into its molten skin, eventually breaking through and bursting out the front of its throat, causing it to roar in probable agony. Once the dragon dissipated, the gaping hole in its throat began to fill again, causing Haku to grit her teeth in annoyance, only to gasp when she spied a crimson gem floating in the wound, glowing as the lava converged on it, regenerating the hole as the creature began to thrash about.

Back with Naruto, he was having flashbacks to the hell he suffered in the darkness realm; so many demons, so many claws and teeth. He switched Rebellion out for Yamato, using its dimensional-tearing abilities to cut all over its body, only for its shadowy form to render them inert. Growling, Naruto grabbed Haku and jumped off the demon, landing in front of it. "Haku-chan, help me with this technique!" Naruto asked of her, wearing Bifrost as he decided on a joint technique with Yamato. Slapping his hands together, he pointed his fingers forward, the claws forming icicles on them and shooting forward, creating multiple knife-tipped chains of ice. Piercing the wyvern, while not hurting it, Naruto swung Yamato, conjuring dimensional slashes in the paths of the blades and around the wyvern, causing them to continue their course, traveling through the tears in space and impaling the monster again. Haku aided him with a new technique. "Suiton: Ryu Shousai!" (Water Release: Dragons Den) From a large orb of water behind her burst many water dragons, laced with extra chakra to increase their integrity to survive a hit, shooting through the wyvern and traveling through extra slashes Naruto made, appearing around the demon and slamming into it again.

Roaring in pain, as the frozen blades chipped the crystals in its throat, right shoulder, left 'hand,' and the center of its tail, the wyvern's limbs and head began to destabilize slightly with the damage to its crystals. It lost several chunks of the stone rings in its neck, the bottom of its neck dripped to the ground as the left side of the stone that formed its lower jaw fell off. It lost some of the 'fingers' of its wings, the lightning and wind running wild now and then. It had large chunks missing from its tail and hind legs, the claws of its left leg chipped and half gone.

Finally having enough of their shit, the wyvern roared at them and began to transform, its fire crystals moving to the base of its neck as what remained of its representation of fire split in half and became a pair of massive claws, shooting towards the devil hunters to crush them. Dodging them, Naruto faced the lightning limb, now an arm with the bone-like material acting as a skeleton inside the lightning, Haku a wind arm with the stones as 'bones.'

Brandishing Rebellion, Naruto hoped against hope that attacking with swords didn't result in the same consequences as fighting Plasma's. Taking a swing, he sighed in relief when nothing of the sort happened, besides getting shocked; hey, it was better than the limb multiplying! Resting Rebellion on his back with chakra, he brandished Coyote-A, channeling chakra in it for a charge shot, assuming he would need to create an opening to get to the bone underneath, the possible weakness. Lunging forward with his shotgun, he released the trigger and fired, twin orbs of demonic energy circling around each other as they sailed through the air, blowing a hole right in its forearm, leaving the bone underneath vulnerable, which he immediately attacked with Trillion Stabs, using a circle of Summoned Swords to keep the hole in its lightning-flesh open. Unfortunately, he was so fixated on the arm, that Naruto left himself open for a fucking dragon head of lightning sprouting from the upper arm, grabbing him in its jaws and throwing him back.

What happened next opened a new level of Hell for Naruto, as an arm of darkness sprouted from the Wyvern's body and shoved its claws in the shoulder of the lightning limb, crushing the bone holding the purple gem that represented its lightning manipulation and tearing it out, the lightning draining into the crystal as the bones shattered and fell to the ground, the dark limb taking its place at the shoulder, and it threw the sharp stone into the nearby wall, creating a field of lightning around it as several creatures began to rise from the apparent portal.

Creatures similar from the Molten Armada Haku face arose from the electricity flowing around the wall around the center crystal, but of course different for the sake of their element. Similar to Plasma's, only purple in color, these demons lacked the eye for a face and had several black plates throughout their bodies, a central one with a spike in its back, raised high up like a lightning rod. These were the Thunder Armada, another branch of the Demon Armada Circle, groups of lesser creatures aligned to an element serving either Boss Demons of their respective element or, in this case, the Gather Wyvern, a shapeshifting creature of shadow that could imbue its body with the crystals that represented the elements and held a fraction of the Boss Demons power from each element, becoming a multi-element amalgamation, serving under Gilgamesh as nothing better than a guard dog.

"Oh joyous day, callooh callay; more demons to fight!" Naruto yelled in exasperation.

While Naruto was fighting off the Thunder Armada and the sweeping attacks of the Gather Wyvern's dark limb, Haku was facing her own troubles.

The Wyvern used its tornado-like limb as a sort of wind cannon, creating large craters and trenches in the ground when she dodged them. Immediately assuming the same tactic she used on the Typhoon Armada's would work here, she created a broadsword of ice and took a swing at the incoming claw, cleaving the hand right off at the wrist. Smirking at her correct assumption, Haku turned to the writhing limb, only to curse when she heard a pair of, unfortunately, familiar hissing roars. Spinning back to the hand, she found it had split into a pair of Typhoon Armada's; of course it did! Because why make something, anything, easy?!

Quickly lunging and dispatching them before they could pose a problem, Haku turned back to the handless arm, finding it split in half and became a pair of spider-like legs, the rocks within distributed between them. They then began stabbing at the ground, intent on splattering Haku all over the ground.

Jumping around to dodge them, Haku attacked a leg when it seemed to be stuck in the ground. She chipped away at the stones within, quickly creating another ice broadsword when the one she was using was whittled down to useless nothingness by the torrential winds protecting the 'skeleton.' Soon, she relieved the demon of a leg, smirking when a roar echoed from the darkness of its abdomen, only to curse when the molten arms that were once its head crawled across the body, a draconian head of shadow taking their place, bereft of eyes yet still seeing, as the eyes that surged within its shadowy center served a purpose. Its neck and head pulsed like a beating heart, yet dripped like sludge at the same time, an empty abyss where its mouth should be, the maddening center of blackness taking in all hope from those who stared. Bone-like armor grew down the back of its neck, spikes crossing each other in pairs. Serrated horns grew from its brow, the tips wisping like smoke.

Now blocking a trio of limbs, Haku cursed when the sentient elements utilized the elemental fusion discovered by shinobi, a blob-like creature rising from one of the lava-like limbs, spitting a fireball at her at the same time the wind arm launched a cannon-like attack, the elements empowering each other in a wave of fire intent on reducing Haku to ashes.

Cursing, and feeling no small amount of fear for her life, Haku channeled as much chakra into the ground around her, creating a thick layer of ice; thrusting her hands out to the edges of the frozen platform, she swept them across and up, willing a slab of ice to come to her aid. "Hyoton: Owarani Tate!" (Ice Release: Neverending Shield) As the burning wave hit the shield, it was reduced to steam, but another shield came to her rescue with another sweep of her hand, and she continued this seemingly fruitless attempt to survive, layer after layer of ice shielding her from certain death. Just when the soreness in her arms was about to prevent her from throwing up another shield, the fire ended, and she panted in exhaustion, the muscles in her arms screaming at her, no more! Unfortunately, the Wyvern didn't care for her aching limbs, and only sought to snuff her out like a whimpering candle flame. Raising its spider-like limb of stone and tornadoes, the demon brought the pointed tip down, its reflection seen in Haku's horrified eyes, as she had collapsed onto her back, shutting them, hoping not seeing it coming would dull the pain.

The only pain she felt was a burning explosion-like sensation in her chest, then a warm feeling crawling over her entire body, as she felt herself float onto her feet, ignoring the dull roar of the Wyvern as, whatever was happening to her, its wind limb was disintegrated upon touching her, its crystal floating towards her, a teal, crescent-shaped gem, entering her chest in a flash of light, only for now, as this gem was a part of Naruto's lineage, but something deep inside Haku called for its aid, and it would answer.

In a flash of light, Haku appeared, transformed and revitalized. Dark grey skin, textured like crossing bandages, ruled over her body under the demonic armor of her transformation, her hair turned snow white, spiking and solidifying into a headdress-like helmet, two bangs spiking up and twitching almost like antennae, her lips and eyes white and glowing. She had a pair of ribbon-like strips of demonic armor across her breasts, more developed than she was as a human, two cut strips on her sides, framing her flat stomach, a feathery mass of armor on her back, some coattails hanging off, a pair of angelic wings bursting from her shoulder blades. On her shoulders were spikes sweeping down and out, her biceps grey and textured like the rest of her 'unprotected' skin, her arms similar to Naruto's Devil Bringer, only the skin was dark blue and she had spikes sweeping back on her wrists, the tips of her claws white. On her forearms were twin circles near her wrists, an empty spade above them with a dot in the center, and two tail-like fins reaching halfway up her biceps above that. From her waist, a cloak-like pieces of armor covered her legs, save for her slightly wider hips, revealing the grey, tiled skin, her clawed toes poking out from under the cloak.

Seemingly on autopilot, Haku almost immediately rose into the air, her beautiful wings flapping to keep her aloft, as her newly acquired devil energy saturated the air, her ice powers increased to new heights in this form. Soon, a veritable wall of ice lances, similar to the drones a near-death Faust spawned, floating alongside her; thrusting her clawed hands forward, they shot forward, sticking to the molten skin of the remaining arms, but not melting.

This was Devil Ice, a cold more dangerous than anything formed in the human realm, and while this was also demonic lava, the ice was strengthened to a new level with the reveal of this power for the first time, and only this time. With a snap of her fingers, the lances exploded, creating massive spikes of ice that impaled the limb in multiple places, soon overtaking the lava and rendering it inert. Floating towards the frozen arms, Haku smashed them to shards with her new claws, retrieving the gem that floated from the rain of frozen lava. One Attribute Heart and one Movement Heart were theirs, Naruto fighting the second Attribute.

With its fire and wind limbs gone, the Gather Wyvern had to compensate by revealing more of its original body, an arm of darkness growing where Haku had shattered the lava limbs off, grey veins pulsing with a limb pulsing with shadow, armor forming a spike at the elbow and a serrated edge along the forearm.

Fed up with the loss of its limbs progressively growing in number, the Gather Wyvern attempted to swat the demonic Haku out of the sky while breathing dark winds towards Naruto, who had long defeated the onslaught of lightning demons and smashed the crystal that kept spawning them, the crystal becoming a golden orb that held lightning, the size of the tip of his thumb. Sensing its demonic power, Naruto was surprised to find… nothing. It didn't react to his devil energy or his Devil Bringer; at his confusion, Dante and Vergil explained that it was a Devil Heart, one of many gem shards Dante found on his journey in South America against a demonic entrepreneur named Arius, who sought to resurrect a being called Argosax; another Mundus-wannabe. They further explained that he couldn't utilize them like the easy-going Sparda before him, as they required he unlock his Devil Trigger first, something his dear Haku had done.

Eyes wide in shock, Naruto assumed that influx of demonic energy from before was just the Wyvern unleashing a strong attack. Confused at Haku, a pure-blood human, attaining Devil Trigger, Naruto received a lecture, something that made him groan even as he dodged the dark blasts from the Wyvern's head, screaming in fear when the damn Shadow Armada demons he fought earlier sprouted from its body.

"All chakra is demonic in nature at its very core, due to the energy coming from the Rikudou Sennin, his mother, and the chakra fruit on the Shinjuu, which is also the inert form of the Juubi, a demon. Haku's demonic potential from within harmonized with the energy you constantly exude, which she is exposed to daily, and the final catalyst was, apparently, a near-death experience, thus unlocking her potential. Now, she is a half-devil like you. At the moment, she is able to utilize the Devil Hearts, and she will most likely act as a container for the one she is currently utilizing until you attain your Devil Trigger." Benihime explained, a pair of glasses appearing on her face for 'professor mode.'

'Good to know, now if you'll excuse me.' "DIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!" Naruto yelled insanely, chopping at the small demons as they neared him, suffering from shell-shock at the sight of them again. Summoning several clones and outfitting them each with a Devil Arm and a separate element for jutsu, Naruto immediately activated his 'Yamato Trigger' and they all ran towards the mob of demons and the Wyvern that spawned them, a wave of raving half-devils hitting them with everything they had, the Shadow Armada demons quickly wiped out, only for the ex-blonde and his clones to jump onto the Gather Wyvern, which only held the Frost Heart now within its hind legs and tail, and a new Devil Heart within its original body.

Unfortunately, it didn't stand a chance against 10+ Naruto's all tripping their shit and brandishing demonic weapons and powerful shinobi techniques, as well as the 'Demon's Way' Benihime was teaching him. Even as it formed extra appendages to fight the Naruto's, the limbs were quickly decimated by all of them, and the Gather Wyvern soon fell, not even getting a chance to use its ice powers.

Gilgamesh watched the whole fight, mentally smirking in mirth, as he didn't have a mouth. This Sparda and his concubine were indeed interesting, especially when the female somehow activated devil blood. Curious. But that wasn't important now, as his pet had fallen, just as he expected. Rising from his throne, he crossed his lower arms and let the upper pair stand strong. "Very entertaining, Sparda and female. But the time for pleasantries is over; now, you die." He 'assured' them, jumping from his high ledge and landing with a resounding thud, the ground beneath his feet shattering and leaving a crater in his wake.

Naruto didn't really pay attention to Gilgamesh, as he was currently gawking at the transformed Haku, who floated over to him silently, a soft smile on her face. Touching down, she was engulfed in another flash of light and reappeared as a human, though slightly different. Her raven hair turned white, her stormy grey eyes turned red, her turtleneck lost the bottom half of it, as well as half the sleeves, revealing the underside of her now-larger breasts and her toned stomach. Her shinobi pants remained relatively the same, but they now had cuts in the sides at her hips, revealing the curvy skin underneath.

Before Naruto could comment on Haku's evolution in sexiness, they were forced to separate, instincts screaming at them to dodge Gilgamesh's fists, which slammed into the two spots they previously occupied. "This is not the time fawning over the pleasures of the flesh, Sparda. If you do not pay attention, you will die sooner than I intend, and I won't get to have my fun." Gilgamesh commented smugly, before he began to shrink. "Perhaps a more even playing field is required for maximum enjoyment. Feel honored, Sparda, as I will meet you on human terms." He added, now only 7' tall. The buzzsaws on the sides of his heels popped out and acted as tires, propelling him towards Naruto, the thrusters on his right arms popping out and spewing steam as they built up pressure behind his incoming punches.

Not wanting to risk breaking any of his weapons, or his arms, by blocking, Naruto attempted to dodge every punch, ducking left, right, down, jumping, and finally brandishing Rebellion to deflect the drill tips of his thrusters, retaliating with his own Devil Bringer-enhanced fist to Gilgamesh's grated face, only causing him to slide back slightly, the buzzsaws giving him traction to stay grounded. Caught off-guard by the futility of his punch, Naruto was open for a punch to the gut, his breath leaving him quite forcefully, pain exploding in the impact area. He went flying, before he devolved to tumbling across the ground, the wall finally stopping him. 'Oh Kami! That fucking hurt!' Naruto mentally yelled, holding his stomach as he lay on the ground, gritting his teeth even as his youki began to dull the pain and heal anything broken or busted. He raised his head to check on Haku's condition, only to find her passed out against the wall. Apparently, the rush of unlocking Devil Trigger knocked her out, so she couldn't help in this situation.

Catching his gaze straying to the unconscious female, Gilgamesh decided to dissuade his worries. "Worry not, Sparda. I am honorable, and your concubine shall be safe. I shall not strike defenseless foes. She is not a part of this battle." He assured him.

Sighing in relief, Naruto buried the blush at Gilgamesh's insinuation of Haku being his 'concubine,' and got back up, the pain in his stomach faded to a dull tingle. "Thank you, I suppose." He said. 'Uh guys, any suggestions? I don't know if I can get through that armor.' Naruto asked of his tenants.

"It's not armor; he is the metal. As for breaking through, I believe that pack on his back is his weak spot, and perhaps the holes in his helmet-face. I also believe enough force can break through, if concentrated enough." Benihime advised.

Nodding in thanks, Naruto switched Rebellion for Yamato and Benihime, creating a set of Summoned Swords and having them meet Sparda's key between the human and demon world at the tip, his opposite katana glowing red with explosive potential. Dodging Gilgamesh's fists, he thrust the group of blades towards the center of his chest, the ethereal swords spinning like a drill, fighting against the demonic metal that made his enemies skin, as a clone phased out of him like an afterimage, taking Benihime with it as it used the shower of sparks from the originals attack to appear behind Gilgamesh. Thrusting Benihime towards the small face between the diminutive wings, a red orb at the tip of the sword, the clone yelled. "Bakudan!" (Bomb) With a contained explosion, shattering the face and revealing a sea of colors that was quickly impaled with the sword, the shock of it causing Gilgamesh to roar out in pain, his control over the strength of his skin waning, allowing the original Naruto to penetrate his chest, the clone behind Gilgamesh dispelling, leaving Benihime thrust through the great demon, which Naruto grabbed with his free hand, his arm turned to the Devil Bringer to not be cut by his own blade, and yanked it straight through Gilgamesh, the glowing ichor splattering the ground, as he flipped it in his grasp and shoved it back into the glowing wound Yamato made. "Shisu!" (Sheathe) His sword exploded with energy, blowing Gilgamesh's upper torso clean off, his double-shoulders falling to the sides as his lumbering body fell back.

Panting and standing up straight in victory, Naruto smiled as he sealed his swords away and walked towards Haku's sleeping form, only to freeze when he heard it.

A faint snicker. A maddening giggle. A boisterous guffaw. The sound grew and grew until it became a booming laughter, and he spun around.

"The fuck?!" Naruto cursed. His eyes widened when he spied the several chunks he scattered about the room with his final blow twitch and roll towards the rising body of Gilgamesh. Not one piece was actually destroyed in the explosion, merely broken and displaced. The pieces flew to their spots, slowly patching Gilgamesh back together as the seam lines of their cracks glowed before disappearing, all the while the demon kept laughing. Soon his head was pieced back together, and he still kept laughing!

"Very interesting, Sparda! Perhaps I underestimated you; very well then, it is time for, as the humans say, 'the kid gloves to come off!'" He said as the marked plates of armor that differentiated his gauntlets and boots from the rest of his body began to multiply, crawling across his body until he was a four-armed demonic knight covered with tribal patterns glowing with his evil colors. A trail of armor similar to the 'sheathed' drills in his arms went up the front and back of his legs to the hip, his chest had designs that made it look like a skull-like face, a circular mark on his stomach, and ridged armor grew down his spine, the 'wings' on his pack growing into a mass of spikes on his back. "Round 2 begins!" Gilgamesh announced.

Looking over his newly revitalized opponent, Naruto only had one thing to say.

"FUCK."

End Ch. 4

Jesus H. Fuck... 14,000 words. Damn. Hope that makes up for my lack of updates. Anyway, a few highlight points: demons are on the rise in the Elemental Nations, with a large congregation around Kumo, and you probably guessed it, Nevan is in the mountain, so Naruto will get that Devil Arm soon. The Rokubi no Itachi will also turn into a Devil Arm, so look forward to that. Haku totally went agro in Kumo with that Greed casket. Also, am I the only one who hated the Lust Hells? Those fuckers that just keep hopping everywhere and taking potshots at you. Hate 'em! And yeah, I turned Ragna the Bloodedge, from Blazblue, into a demon here, and thus a Devil Arm. It was just something I did on a whim. Also, for those of you who had the feeling, Ragna's final, more stable form was a red version of Yuki Terumi's when he uses his Astral Finish. And with turning Gilgamesh into a physical demon, a couple new demon grunts, and a sort of mini-boss, Haku is now a half-devil as well! I got the idea from Lucia and her sexy, sexy ass. Mmm! Ahem, excuse me... That doesn't mean Haku will start getting Devil Arms, except maybe one, since she complained about having no weapon. And, until Naruto unlocks his legit Devil Trigger, she'll be a vessel for the Devil Hearts. Let me know what you think.

Ja ne!
