"Wake up rainbow…" I heard as I was shaken and immediately my hoof shot out and hit my awaker in the face and I heard a tumble and then a ow when I opened my eyes and saw Soarin gripping his muzzle. "Now I know why your dad was afraid to make you up." he said as I got out of bed.
"Sorry. It's a reflex." I said with a little laugh as I then helped him up.
"Remind me to get your dad back later." he said.
"Well good luck with that. When I tried to prank him when I was little he avoided every single attempt." I laughed and he frowned as we then walked out of my room and into the kitchen where dad saw Soarin and just laughed. "Really dad?"
"Sorry sweetie… I couldn't avoid the chance." He said wiping a tear from his eyes.
"Honey I thought you stopped the pranking business." My mom said as she walked in with a few plates of food.
"Well honey as long as we are here I am going back into the job." He said with a smile as he then kissed my mom and I then rolled my eyes.
"So what's for breakfast?" I then asked as we both sat down at the table.
"Eggs, toast, and some salad." I only smiled because her eggs were the best I have ever tasted besides Soarin's. As she set down the plates I gave my mom a hug and a thank you and I started to eat. Oh how much I missed these eggs so much. As I continued to eat them I realized that Soarin was having a private conversation with my dad so I decided to have a conversation with my mom. "So how have you and dad been mom?" I asked.
"Well we have been doing good so far sweetie. How have you and Soarin been?" she asked with a smile.
"good." I then said. "But I really missed you guys… you never even let me say goodbye…" I then said putting my head down and could feel my mom then hug me.
"We didn't mean to sweetie. But we had already sold the house and we had recently rebought it and we fixed it all up in just a few hours." She then said as I put my head down.
"And I always thought you kept the house..."
"Sweetie while we were traveling we would have lost quite a lot of bits on our travels that were needed." She then said.
"I understand… but should I expecting a brother or sister soon?" I then asked with a smile as she went all red face.
"RAINBOW!" she then yelled causing me to laugh.
"What?!" I then said causing my dad to laugh as Soarin only looked at us confused.
"What's going on?" I then asked as my dad leaned into his ear and said a few things before he went red face as well causing me to laugh even more and when I final calmed down mom was still red faced along with Soarin while dad was sneaking the eggs off of Soarin's plate.
"Soarin, you might want to continue eating…" I then said with a smile but when he looked at the plate my dad then put his entire mouth and as soon as he lifted his mouth there was nothing left.
"REALLY?!" Soarin then yelled and we all started to laugh as my dad tried to look innocent.
"Don't worry. I made plenty of eggs for that reason." My mom then said with a smile as she then walked back into the kitchen with Soarin's plate and came back out with more food.
"Thank you ma'am." Soarin said as he took the plate and started to eat once more while dad only was drooling.
"Dad you're drooling again…" I then said with a smile as he then closed his mouth.
"You have never lost your taste for my cooking have you?" my mom then said with a smile.
"I haven't had your cooking in what? 5 months?" he then said. "We always went out for breakfast, lunch and dinner during that…"
"I know honey." My mom said with another smile as I finished eating and I started to gather up our plates and I then walked into the kitchen and I started to clean them and I was soon joined by Soarin as he helped with the dishes.
"Your family's nice…" he then said with a smile as he started to dry them off.
"well they should be nice since I'm around with you… just be careful about when I leave you alone with them then you will get the talking of your life from them."
"Well then I guess I should be prepared then. As if I'm going to hurt my marefriend in anyway." He then said as I then playfully nudged him.
"Still… my dad can get very mean if he finds out I got a single paper cut that you didn't help me with." I said with a smile.
"Then I will always have to be there for you. Did you hear about the contest happening soon?" he then said and I gave him a confused look.
"No I didn't. What contest?" I then asked.
"A contest between all of the great flying teams all over Equestria and beyond. The winning team gets to fly with bragging rights and win a bunch of bits… we currently need the bits to finish the repairs on the academy… from you know who." He said and I shivered.
"Then I guess we will have to fly our best. When does this happen?"
"In about a month. There are multiple events that require multiple things. There's speed, style, teamwork, and finally there are individual challenges that happen both in the air and on the ground. Meaning we will be training in the air and on the ground. All we have to worry about the most is our ground training. This happens every single year and is only known by Pegasus. I'm surprised you never heard of it." He then said.
"Well I always lived with protective parents. But what's it called?" I then asked him.
"It's called the Masunam challenge… I think I might know the reason why you never heard of it…" he then said.
"Why?" I then asked.
"Because all of the occupants will do anything to win the cup and bits… and I mean anything…"
Hey boys and girls reading this story I got a few quick things to say… first of all there is not going to be any killing or fighting except for maybe a few arguments and also I got to say that I hope you have all figured out who the next evil group is. If not well get THINKING! Well that is actually all I got to say besides I hoped you have all stayed with this story and this will continue until the very end is over… but who knows… there might be a sequel… well now that's all I got to say so this is MLP Brony Fifer signing off.
