Time Will Tell- Chapter 6

Hey guys, thanks for everything! I recently turned 18 and have been kind of busy with school but I'm finally able to start writing again. I love you all, don't forget to read and review guys!

"SLOW THE HELL DOWN, ALICE!" Bella screamed as we both clung to each other in the back of the pixies black Porsche. The speeds at which the shortest Cullen was reaching was horrifying, especially considering two of the four occupants were daughters of the chief of police. The only reaction we got to Bella's cries were a chime-like laugh emitting from Alice's lips as she turned a sharp corner into a parking lot besides the big shopping mall in Port Angeles. Fumbling for the handle I let myself out of the vehicle and nearly fell to the ground with the relief of being back on solid land. I looked over at my sister to see her copying my actions and inwardly smirked that I wasn't the only one fearing for my life. Rosalie and Alice stepped out of the car as if nothing was amiss and that they hadn't just been driving around the towns at over 100mph.

After gaining my breath back and calming my rapidly beating heart I looked up and raised an eyebrow at our surroundings. I flicked my gaze over to the other girls and sighed.

"Why are we here, Alice?" I enquired, suspiciously watching as their expressions turned to those of pure delight. Slowly I put together what was going on. "Oh no. Nu-uh. I'm out of here." Before I could turn around Rosalie had her arm around my shoulder and was pulling me into the mall with a greater strength then I realised she possessed. I could hear Bella complaining behind me as Alice dragged her in as well.

"Right, now I'm going shopping with you and Alice is going with Bella. We'll meet at the food court in three hours, then we'll head home." Rosalie told me as I watched my sister being dragged off in the opposite direction to us. "We're getting you things for the party tonight. Come on, it'll be easier if you don't resist. I always get my way." She smirked triumphantly as she slipped her arm into mine and sauntered through the various different shops ignoring the lustful gazes that most of the male population were sending towards her.

"So.." I started awkwardly, catching her golden eyes as she looked to me expectantly. "How did you and Emmett meet?" I asked, trying to keep it as cool as possible. She smiled, her eyes taking on a dream-like air.

"It was a long time ago, Carlisle and I were Gatlinburg, Tennessee just hiking through the woods, and Emmett was there.." She paused, her golden eyes darkening, shocking me with the reaction. "He had been attacked by a bear." I gasped, my hands flying to my mouth in shock, thinking about how carefree and gentle the biggest Cullen was, and how he simply seemed unperturbed by the devestating event. "Luckily Carlisle was able to help, we got him to the nearest hospital and they helped him out. His parents had recently died and he didn't have anywhere to go. That's why Carlisle offered him a place with us, he became one of us that day." She smiled to herself, like she was thinking of a private joke or something. I sighed in relief, not wanting to think what would have happened if Carlisle hadn't have been there.

I smiled at her, shaking my head slightly. Sighing I looked around.

"Alright. What shop first?" I asked, resigned to my fate.

After hours of endless shops and clothes and swiping of credit cards Alice finally yielded and let me rest my aching feet in the food court.

"You sure you don't want one?" I asked as I offered her my fries. She simply curled her lip and shook her spiky head, looking slightly irritated about something. "What's wrong?" I asked, taking a mouthful of the salty, fries. She looked at me, her golden eyes suddenly glassing over. She stared at me for a few minutes before shaking her head and smiling at me.

"Sorry, did you say something?" She asked quizically. I raised a brow before shaking my head and turning back to my food. The sound of scraping chairs and unintelligible grumbling made me look up again and grin.

"I swear to God Rosalie, no more shops! We are done." Georgia had dropped about twenty bags on the ground whilst a disgruntled looking Rosalie pouted beside her.

"But we haven't got the perfectly jewlerry yet." She argued, tapping her perfectly manicured nails on the table, impatiently. I smirked at my little sister, feeling her pain, my own fifteen odd bags decorating the floor around the table.

"Rough day, huh?" I asked, teasingly. She glared at me, causing me to laugh and offer her the rest of my food which she took gladly. I looked at Alice and Rosalie who appeared in deep conversation, leaning in to whisper in eachothers ears. I sighed and played with the paper napkin infront of me, tearing it into small pieces. I chewed on my lip, nervously, thinking about the party tonight. The entire year had been invited, which made me incredibly uncomfortable, I knew I would somehow muck it up and do something embarrassing.

"Calm down Bells, don't want to have to get you stitches before the party tonight." Georgia snapped me from my thoughts, tapping at my lip which my teeth were getting closer to breaking the skin. I flushed and looked away, before looking down at my watch.

"Don't you think we should be going soon?" I looked at Alice and her eyes shone with excitement. She nodded and giggled.

"Yup! Let's go, I can't wait to get you guys ready for tonight!" She giggled and picked up half of my bags in her little hands, which shocked me considering how heavy they were, and skipped off towards the parking lot. I picked up the other bags and waddled after her with Rose and Georgia in tow.

We slid into the back after putting the bags into the surprisingly spacious trunk. I buckled myself in and dug my nails into the leather of the seat, surprisingly Alice slid into the back beside be and shook her head as she looked at my position. Rose dipped into the drivers seat and Georgia got into the front, shooting me a worried look over her shoulder as she pulled her seatbelt on tightly.

"Oh relax you two, we're not going to crash. I'm a better driver than Alice is." Rose said nonchalently as she effortlessly threw the car into reverse and pulled away with sohcking speeds. Here we go again...

"Sit still will you?" I chided as Bella tried to rub her nose, boredom was getting to her but there was no way she was going to ruin all my hard work after I'd spent an hour on her makeup. I looked at her, she looked uncomfortable to be sat in my room in only her new underwear and a bath robe I had leant her. I'd curled her hair and pinned it to keep it off her face, her makeup was natural but her eyes were smoky brown and golds that made her eyes pop wonderfully. "I'm almost done then you can get changed, alright?" I sighed, sad that my human doll was almost done. I liked playing dress up! She nodded and I smiled that she was being compliant, I decided I would have to get her used to this pretty soon, or else it could be a bit of a problem. I looked at her appraisingly before pulling out some clear coat lipgloss and giving her a thin layer. I stepped back and nodded. "You can look now!" I squealed, clapping my hands happily.

She rolled her eyes at me before turning to look in my vanity mirror. She froze, her eyes widening and her mouth opening in shock. I giggled.

"I look... Good..." She whispered and now it was my turn to roll eyes.

"You look better than that! You're hot Bella. You suit your name sake." I giggled and went into the wardrobe, pulling out the dress we had picked out for her in the mall today. "Right, robe off." I nodded and she looked at my doubtfully before slipping it off and covering herself with her arm. I shook my head before stepping forward and holding the dress out for her, she rose her arms and I carefully slipped it over her curls. I skipped beind her and zipped it up before stepping back again to look at her. I clapped happily.

The dress was a dark blue, silk material that clung to her upper body to her hips were it was slightly fuller. The dress accentuated her curves beautifully and made her legs look awesome. I nodded my head, handing her the pair of black ballet flats that I picked -not trusting her to wear heels- and the silver teardrop necklace that I was given by Carlisle a few years back.

"You're perfect. Now remember I want that necklace back but the rest is yours to keep." I smiled, and to my surprise Bella hugged me tightly, smiling brightly.

"Thank you, Alice. You have no idea how much this means to me." I patted her back and hugged her tightly.

"I know, now don't mess up your makeup. Let's go find your sister."

RPOV

"Are you done yet?" Georgia moaned, shifting her weight impatiently. I rolled my eyes and flipped my hair. Knowing Alice was going simplistic with Bella made me want to go dramatic with Georgia. I had painted her lips a blood red, her eyes were winged heavily with eyeliner and her face was a flawless porcelain. I straightened her hair, a braid ran across the front of her hair, from the right ending round the back of her head on the right. I nodded to myself, putting a black, velvet choker around her neck I pulled her up to stand.

"Come here." She followed and opened her eyes, raising an eyebrow. "No looking yet." I pulled out her dress and helped her into it, it slid up her waist and over her new lingerie nicely, I zipped up the back and tied the neck before pulling back and looking at her. The dress was a black halter neck dress that clung to her curvasious figure nicely, it fell loose to her knees and I smiled, handing her the black heels to complete the outfit. She slipped them on and stood up, she stood just taller than me and I grinned, the heels made her legs look killer and the dress made her body look stunning. "Done. You look amazing." She looked at me dubiously before turning and looking in the mirror. She gasped.

"Rosalie... Thank you. This is amazing..." She grinned and squealed happily. A knock on the door signified that Alice and Bella were here. "Come in!" Georgia called, I lauged. Bella stepped in and the sisters squealed as they saw eachother, gushing compliments to both eachother and the respective designer. Another knock on the door stunned the girls into silence. Sniffing I knew the scent of my mate and my brother.

"Come in." I called, Edward and Emmett stepped in and both whistled.

"You did good with these one's, girls." Edward commented, shaking his head in bewilderment. "Bella you look good, you too Georgia!" They grinned at him. Emmett however simply ran at the both of them and hugged them tightly. Alice and I growled.

"If you fuck up their makeup or clothes I will end you!" Alice shouted, Emmett simply laughed it off and put them down. I watched Georgia as she appraised Emmett, obviously thinking about what I had told her before hand.

"It's time. They're arriving." Emmett grinned and came to grab my arm, I laughed and rested my head on my monkey-mans chest. "Let's go guys!" He led me out the room and I grinned one last time at the girls.

"Let's go show them what the infamous Cullens live like." Edward laughed as he pulled Alice from the room.

I looked at Bella and took a deep breath, nerves suddenly kicking in at the prospect of all the people that would be there and could witness our potential floundering. I grabbed my sisters hand and squeezed it tightly, she returned the action with vigour. We made eyecontact before she slipped out of the room and down the stairs. I swallowed heavily before following her out of the room. Most people were there already and the music was pulsating through the walls around the house, groups of people were conversing, looking around skeptically. A few made eyecontact with me, looking shocked as they saw me. I blushed deeply as I descended the stairs a certain head of blonde hair caught my eye.

Jasper walked up to meet me, I was almost as tall as him in the heels, my eyes slightly below his golden orbs. His eyes bore into mine painfully, his gaze so intense it almost burned. I looked down, blushing deeply, he wore a pair of black pants, a dark brown belt and a white button-down shirt, the top few buttons open revealing his pale, toned chest. I licked my suddenly dry lips and returned my eyes to look into his again.

"Hi.." I whispered, my hands shaking slightly. He smirked and reached down to take my hands in his.

"Hello." He replied steadily, his hold on my hands tightening slightly. He chuckled slightly.

"What's funny?" I asked, raising a brow. He shook his head.

"You and your sister are the talk of the night. People are getting jealous, darlin'" He whispered in my ear. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah right." I scoffed. He rose a brow, his face suddenly serious.

"Don't doubt it, darlin'. You're beautiful, and many of the guys in here and writhing with jealousy that I have your attention and not them. I may just have to make it worse.." He replied in mock seriousness.

"How would you do that, my dear?" I asked, teasingly.

"Simply by doing this." He placed a hand on my cheek and leant down to kiss my lips, his lips sent electricity through my body, setting it alight. I involuntarily moaned against his lips and stepped closer into his embrace. He pulled back gently and looked into my eyes, a glint of humour there. "Let's go get a drink, shall we?"

I left Georgia in the room and descended the stairs, I bumped into Mike almost immediatley.

"Wow, Bella! You look amazing!" He gushed, his breath smelling slightly of alcohol and the cup in his hand spilled slightly as he came towards me. I smiled and waved but quickly ducked into the kitchen. I made eye contact with Jasper and he smiled at me.

"She's just coming if you want to go meet her." I offered and he grinned at me before exiting, leaving me alone in the vast room. Sighing I made my way to the drinks and poured myself a soda, I turned and took a step forward but stopped. In the door way stood the man that had been haunting my dreams. Carlisle smiled warmly at me.

"Bella." He smiled at me and I saw his eyes scanning over my body causing me to bite my lip nervously again. "You look beautiful." He complimented and I blushed furiously. Placing my cup on the side I smiled at him.

"Thanks, you look pretty good yourself." I replied lamely, in fact he looked gorgeous. He wore a pair of straight cut grey pants with a pure white button-down shirt that the other Cullen men seemed to be wearing. It screamed sophistication and money, in reality it made me weak at the knees. He smiled at me, his gold eyes glimmering in the artificial light as he came closer.

"Might I ask, Bella, what you are doing in here when the party is thriving out there?" He enquired, his eyes trained on mine.

"I was just hoping for some tall, handsome man to follow me." I replied, shocked at how easily my flirting was coming. He stepped closer, pressing his body against mine, his arm sliding around my back securely.

"Well, I'm here. Will I do, Miss Swan?" He whispered, staring down at my, his eyes darkening.

"You're perfect." I responded, my shaking hands raising to rest on his chest. With a wild gasp I leant up and pressed my lips against his, he responded with the same fervour that I had started. His hands gripped against the material of my dress whilst mine scrunched his shirt tightly, pulling him closer.

A cough broke us apart.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here." Jasper laughed as Georgia raised a brow and grinned broadly at us. I blushed furiously and hid my face in Carlisle's shirt whilst he simply lauged it off, rubbing my back comfortingly. "It's alright, darlin', no need to be ashamed. We knew you liked him from the offset, like they all knew I was taken by your sister here. We're cool with it, but y'all might want to cut that out whilst the guests are milling around." Jasper commented, grinning like the Cheshire Cat. Georgia skipped around us and grabbed two cans of beer, winking at me she and Jasper slipped out the door into the back garden. I closed my eyes for a little while before taking a deep breath and looking at Carlisle again, he raised a brow expectantly.

"We need to talk Carlisle." I stated solidly. He nodded.

"Yes we do." He sighed and shifted his weight. "Come with me." He led me through the groups of people and up the stairs. I looked over my shoulder hoping no one was watching us, before we entered a room. It was lit brightly and the walls were covered with hundreds of books. A personal library. In the centre of the room was a large, mahogany desk and black leather chair. A large wooden cross hung on the wall behind it and I couldn't help but feel in awe at the age of the artifact. Carlisle closed the door and moved to the desk where he pulled the chair out and nodded to me to take a seat.

"Now, what I'm about to tell you may make you hate me, it also may scare you which is not my intention whatsoever. Just know that I love you, Isabella." His golden eyes bore into mine as I sat watching him, my heart started to race with a mixture of fear and excitement at his decleration. "I was born in the 17th Century in London, England. I was born to a man of the cloth, my mother died in childbirth. I grew up in London, and in my twenty fifth year I met a girl named Isabella. Sadly, one night before I could declare my love and my intention to marry that girl I was called away on duty to fight against the fantastical beasts that plagued the mortal world. I was attacked by a rogue vampire. He changed me into one of his own. I have walked this earth for over 300 years. I'm not the only one, the whole family is like me. We are vampires. It's why you are all so drawn to us, our unnatural strength, beauty even our scent. Bella I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you before but I..." I cut im off by kisisng him, my heart pounding with relief. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close.

"It's alright Carlisle," I whispered as I pulled away. "I love you, and nothing will change that." I leant forward and pressed my lips against his again, smiling as the truth of the matter had come to light and I now knew. I heard the door open and turned, smiling and laughing expecting to see Georgia but I stopped.

"Mike?"

GPOV

I laughed as Jasper and I entered the vast yard, a river ran through it at the bottom and I skipped towards it happily. I stopped as I spotted a stone bench by the edge and moved to sit on it. Jasper sauntered along behind me and sat beside me, pulling me into his lap effortlessly causing me to squeal with shock.

"I'll hurt your legs. I'm too heavy!" I complained, he simply held on tighter and I simply gave up struggling against him. "Fine." I pouted, causing him to smirk and kiss my cheek.

"You're cute." He stated, I stuck my tongue out at him stubbornly which only caused him to smile more, I grinned back in response and leant my head on his shoulder, I opened my can of beer and sipped at it, crinkling my nose slightly at the soured taste. "Georgia, I have to talk to you about something." I looked up at him curiously.

"What's up?" I asked, nervoulsy, not liking his suddenly serious face.

"You asked me before about what I was hiding. I couldn't tell you before but now... I fear that I can't let you go, so this means that I'm going to have to tell you." He sighed and I continued to look at him, confused. "I was born just before the Civil War broke out. I lived in the outskirts of Texas in a farm with my father. A girl came in, a girl called Georgia. I loved that girl more than anything. But I was called off to fight before I could marry her." I tensed and went to move but he grabbed my arm tightly and looked me in the eye. "Please, just listen." I sighed and sat back down. "During the fighting I was sent to transport some women and children, that's when I met a woman... a monster named Maria. She was a vampire. She liked me, saying that I was special. She changed me into one of her own. I fought with her until I couldn't take it anymore. I left her in the late 19th Century and found Alice in the early 20th Century. We found Carlisle's family then. We're all the same. We're all vampires. Blood sucking beasts. But please don't be scared. I would never hurt you, nor would the others. It's how Rosalie saved Emmett from the bear, she turned him. It's how I survived the war. I'm sorry, I love you so much and wanted to tell you before but I couldn't..."

"I don't care Jasper, I don't care! I still want to be with you.." My eyes filled with tears as I reached after Jasper, he turned and looked at me in disbelief. With a gasp he grabbed me and spun me around, he almost purred against in happiness, showering my face with kisses.

"Thank you, darlin' for understanding!" I giggled and kissed his nose gently.

"What about Bella? Shouldn't she know?" I asked tensely. He smiled.

"Carlisle is telling her right now, from the sounds of it she's taken it..." He tensed, his eyes darkening and he hissed.

"What? What is it?" I asked, suddenly worried.

"Mike has just walked in on Carlisle and Bella... Shit, that son of a bitch!" He lifted me off his lap and grabbed my hand, moving quickly towards the house. I heard something happening inside and I launched myself forwards, running through the kitchen, precariously in my heels I skidded to a halt in the hallway, everyone was gathered around Mike as he screamed abuse at a very calm looking Carlisle. Jasper grabbed my arm and pulled me to him, "No one can know about us. Be careful what you do and say." I nodded to him and pulled away from him and pushed through the crowd.

"Pervert! Leave Bella alone." Mike hissed venemously at Carlisle whilst Bella stood at the bottom of the stairs a look of pure bewilderment and fear onher face. I went to her and hugged her tightly. "She's young enough to be your daughter you sick bastard." I sneered, this was going to be interesting.

JPOV

I pushed throught the crowd and joined my brothers beside Carlisle. Georgia and Bella were on the stairs and Alice and Rose were standing with them as protection in case anything happened.

"I suggest you leave and take your wild accusations elsewhere, Mike." Edward hissed, his anger radiating off him, Emmett simply cracked his knuckels menacingly. Mike took a step back but regained his posture. Stupid human.

"Michael, I don't know what you think you saw but whatever it was I can't understand how you reached this conclusion." Carlisle tried to reason, I could feel the hurt coming from Bella at this statement and I shook my head at Carlisle, letting him feel what she felt. "Bella is an adult, 18 years old and can is well aware of my feelings for her. She and I are both waiting until she has left her final year of education until we pursue any form of relations." Mike bridled at that, his eyes widening and his breathing racing.

"You sick bastard! What makes you think she'd want you?" I growled at that, but all were stunned into silence as Bella shoved her way forwards past us and infront of Mike. The resounding sound of skin on skin as Bella slapped Mike's cheek was music to our ears and my brothers and I had to stifle our laughs.

"Listen to this one thing I have to say to you Mike, you have no right to determine who I do and do not like, alright? I love Carlisle and as he says we are waiting until we can be together, but in reality it has nothing to do with you at all. I think it's time you left." She hissed, the venom in her voice evident to everyone in the room as waves of shock resonated off everyone.

Rosalie stepped forward and coughed gaining the attention of everyone.

"The party is now over. I think you should all leave." She glared, and after a few grumbles the party goers decided it was best not to argue. It didn't take long for them to vacate the premises and I turned to see Georgia leaning against the wall with an amused smirk on her face. She saw me looking and raised a brow, I smirked and walked up to her, pressing my lips against her forehead I whispered in her ear.

"Let's head upstairs, I bet you're tired. Charlie's not expecting you back until Sunday." She laughed against my neck and nodded, I took her hand and led her up to my room. The bed I had installed earlier this week was covered in ruby satin sheets and a black, fur throw. She smiled and looked around in wonder. "Rose put your clothes in there." I nodded towards the en suite and she smiled, kissing my cheek she skipped off. I shook my head, wondering just how I had managed to get such an amazing girl as this. I slipped out of my clothes and pulled on a pair of gray sweat pants before laying down on the bed and waiting.

The door to the bathroom opened and she slipped out, her face now clean from all makeup, her dress discarded and in it's place a losse jersey shirt that I noticed was an old one of mine. Rosalie lied to me when she said she'd put pj's in there. I watched her closely, my emotions going crazy just watching her.

"Jazz?" I was startled from my thoughts and smiled at her, she smiled back nervoulsy and I held a hand out to her. She took it and came and lay down beside me, her head resting on my chest.

"Go to sleep, darlin'. I love you." I kissed her temple and she smiled, yawning as she closed her eyes.

"Love you too Jazzy.."

CPOV

I let out a deep breath as I rested against the counter in the kitchen and cursed myself under my breath. Alice had taken Bella upstairs to her room. I looked up at the clock on the wall and sighed again, it was midnight. I should have been doing some paperwork but I couldn't, I was too riled up after the encounter with the young man. I heard footsteps come into the kitchen and I looked up and froze.

"Bella, shouldn't you be asleep?" I enquired as I stepped forward to meet her.

"I couldn't sleep. I was worrying about you." She whispered in response, I chuckled at her response. Of course she was worried, she's so kind hearted and selfless. "Are you alright, Carlisle?" She asked as she wrapped her arms around my waist and rested her head on my chest.

"I'm fine, my love." I kissed the top of her head and rubbed her back gently. She was dressed in a pair of white, silk pyjamas and a purple dressing gown hung on her shoulders. She smelled so sweet, like freesia and roses. I sighed again and looked down at her. "Let's get you to bed, darling." She pouted and I smiled at her, leaning down I scooped her up into my arms, holding her close I walk with her up to the spare room that she was occupying. I lay her on the bed and sat down with her, playing with her hair gently.

"Stay with me." She whispered so low I almost didn't realise she'd spoken, even with my superhearing. I smiled and pressed my cheek against her head and nodded.

"Always."

Alright, there you go guys. I'm sorry it's taken so long but I've been very busy lately. I love you all, remember reviews help motivation! Haha.
