Eva: Shuttup! (Punches cheerleader) This was taking too long. Basically orangeowl13 didn't write PJO. Good-bye.
Nico's POV (You may squeal.)
My head hurt. I just shadow travelled across the country and I was ready for a long nap. I stumble towards my cabin in the pitch black of the night and I can almost feel the warmth of the blankets around me. I practically fall into my cabin, I'll have a bruise in the morning but I'm more focused on the promise of my bed.
I flop onto the bed but I hit something else; it lets out a yelp of surprise. I grab onto my sword and get into defensive position as the intruder whips off the blanket covering their head. Her head to be exact.
"Who the hell are you? And why are you in my cabin?" I growl, giving the girl the full force of my Son of Hades aura.
The girl swallows and looks terrified but answers, "My name is Eva. Sorry it was just really loud in the Hermes cabin and this place seemed empty so I crashed here. But I'll leave." Eva grabs the orange blanket lying on the bed and scrambles out of my cabin. I sigh with pleasure and finally fall onto my bed; I lose consciousness almost immediately.
My dreams are anything but sweet tonight. I see Percy lying dead with Annabeth cradling him and yelling at Leo for some reason. I can't hear what is going on so I step forward when something grabs my ankle. I look down to see Hazel bleeding heavily from a wound to her neck. I scream and drop to my knees. "No, no, no. This can't be happening, not again! Not another sister. Not another one! Why is it always me? Why me? You Hazel? Why Hazel? Take me! Spare her she doesn't deserve to die, she has things to live for, TAKE ME!" I stop raving and pull Hazels limp body into my lap. I'm crying over her body when suddenly she begins to stir, "Haze?"
She smiles, "Hi, Nico. Fancy seeing you here." I crack a brief humorless smile.
"You are going to be all right, don't worry. Just hold on for a little longer… I'll find an Apollo camper. You'll be okay." As I look around and realize we are the only two people around I know it's hopeless; Hazel is going to die.
"Nico listen to me. The key is in the swords; don't forget it. The key is in the swords. Don't forget." I feel it as the life begins to drain out of her.
"Don't leave me alone Hazel! I love you! Stay with me… please. Do it for Frank, do it for Percy, and at the very least do it for me. Please don't die."
Hazel laughs and strokes my cheek, "You're very sweet, but it's just a dream Nico. All you have to do is wake up. Wake up… wake up… wake up."
Eva's POV
After the embarrassing encounter in the Hades cabin I sneak back into Hermes and since everyone is asleep I manage to fall asleep pretty fast.
My dream takes me to what looks like a battlefield. Bodies are littered everywhere, and some aren't human. I see half horse and half donkey (?) people lying dead also. Wait a minute; this is camp! I recognize Will Solace and Chiron among the dead. For some reason I haven't passed out yet, maybe it's part of the dream magic? I don't know.
I'm glancing around when I see something moving in the shade of the forest, or what had been the forest. Now it is just a bunch of fallen trees, never the less I walk over there. The moving figure turn out to be Travis and Katie. Katie is desperately trying to bandage a wound to Travis's chest.
"Katie! What happened?"
She spins around and I see that she is crying, "There was a battle. Everyone was killed except me and Travis, although he was injured pretty badly and I have no idea how to fix it." Katie starts to bawl. "I can't save him… And I love him. What's the point of being alive when everyone you love is dead? THERE IS NO POINT." She throws the bandages on the ground and curls into a ball.
"Calm down Katie." I say with a shaky voice, "Let me try. I was blessed by Apollo, maybe I can do something."
"Please save him." She whispers.
I turn to Travis and pick up where Katie left off. I begin to bandage the wound on his chest, yet it unravels as quickly as I wrap it. I start to cry because I know I can't save him, I'm just not good enough.
I turn back to Katie and shake my head. Instead of the tears I expected she pulls out a knife.
"You are a terrible person Eva. You run from your problems and you couldn't even bandage a wound. You are a weak sniveling little lump on the face of this world. What kind of a demigod are you? Because you certainly aren't a hero." And then she whispers in my ear. "Can you guess what the funniest part is? No?" She laughs and begins to speak again, "You are the reason camp is like this; you are the reason Travis is dead. It's all your fault. You should have never come to camp Eva. If you hadn't they might still be alive." She pulls back and jabs the knife towards my chest. I begin to scream.
Katie fades away into blackness and I throw myself forward. I am still screaming when I wake up in the Hermes cabin. The only difference is that two warm arms are around me, and the person they are attached to is whispering reassuring words into my ear. I stop screaming.
When I pull away I can see that the entire Hermes cabin is gathered around my bed and Connor is the one hugging me.
"Eva calm down, it's okay. It was just a nightmare, ssh… sshhh…" It's then that I realize I am crying.
I swipe at my eyes to get the tears off my cheeks and take a deep breath before speaking, "Thanks you guys, I hope I wasn't screaming for too long."
Connor shrugs, "Only like 5 minutes or so. You good?"
"I'm good. What time is it?"
"Seven thirty." Travis says from the foot of my bed, "It's almost time for breakfast so if you are feeling up to it I would get dressed."
"Yeah sure, no problem." I grab my suitcase and lug it into the bathroom, which is vacant. I pull on one of my pairs of skinny jeans, the ones with no rips, and a camp shirt that came with the cabin. My converse are last.
As soon as I walk out of the bathroom a white long sleeve shirt is shoved in my face. The girl attached to the shirt is blushing, "Here, put this on. You seriously don't want that tattoo showing during camp", and then she hurries away. I shrug and walk back into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me.
That's it guys… Thanks for reading and such. By the way Nico is going to appear more often after this chapter. So see ya later.
Peace Out,
