When I came to Coulson was shaking me, a ringing sounding off in my ears. "Cameron come on, there we are..." Slowly the world and Coulson came back into focus.
"Wha—"
"We're under attack, now what happened?" I blink remember Loki's words gliding around my brain.
"Fighting...explosion..." I mumbled out.
"Well at least you can communicate, how is your eyesight?" He holds up two fingers and I whack them away,
"I'm fine...What's happened?"
"All we are aware of is that one engine has been destroyed and they are going for the others—" He stops listening to his commlink.
"I need to go but I am sending an agent to you okay?" I grab onto him panic filling me.
"I wasn't trained for this Coulson." He gives me a reassuring smile before gently pulling my hand from his arm.
"You will be okay Cam, you are a lot tougher than you give yourself credit for. Now wait in the hall for the agent alright." I nod as he helps me up thankfully my vision stays solid as I rush to the hallways. But the burning lab is a vacation compared to outside. Agents rush about, panic clear in their voices and rushing bodies. Coulson leaves and I press myself against the wall wincing as my head throbs with another wave of pain. I groan but I don't move, my pain though is cut short as someone takes my arm.
"Ow hey!" I turn some agent glares back at me.
"Coulson sent me to retrieve you." I say nothing and let him pull me along. No one stops us as they are all too panicked to notice or really even care. But something just feels wrong as I try to process where this agent is taking me.
"Where did Coulson say to take me?"
"Holding."
"Wait what?" I skid my boots along the walkway and the guy turns then I see it his eyes...they aren't normal, rather like looking into the Tesseract in his iris. I freeze seeing his fist lining up for a punch, I drop to the floor causing him to be off balanced. His grip loosens and my leg lashes out landing a solid kick to his knee which bends in a painfully wrong way. He cries out going down, I scramble to get up and go for my holster belt, only to remember it was confiscated after the ending of the mission. I leap over the guy as he groans clutching his leg.
"Take that bitch—"
"There she is!" I turn and more agents are headed for me, all with the same eye problem as other guy.
"Shit." Rather than trying to take them all on, I sprint further down the hall dodging and skirting every way I can to distract them from finding me, but these guys are good and stay on my heels for a good distance till I manage to get myself cornered. I snarl and punch the wall, the steel groaning in protest as a gun cocks loudly behind me.
"Hands up." I let out a aggravated sigh but slowly comply only to stop and realize

that these guys haven't incapacitated my voice. I turn with a smile and such in breath.
"If you were falling then I would catch you...you need a light? I'd find a match. Cause
I love the way you say good morning and you take me the way I am."
T heir eyes go dull and their bodies slacken, as I slip past them still singing the song. I then smirk as I slip past the last two goons. And think to myself...K nock yourselves out. A nd without pause each and everyone punches themselves out cold. I sigh in relief then sprint to safety, or better yet more chaos. I find a guard unconscious and I rifle through his jacket finding a gun, and also grab his communicator. Just as it buzzes to life.
"Hulk in the engine rooms, everyone remain on high alert!" I froze feeling every part of my body seize up at this, if the Hulk was out something bad was going down.
Very clever with those guards— I shook my head with a huff ignoring Loki's taunts. I wanted to get somewhere safe to the bridge or something. Hell, hide inside my room—
"Put it down." I freeze the cold tip of a barrel pressed to the back of my head. I want to scream but resist and follow orders dropping the gun to the floor.
"Put your hands where I can see them and stand up slowly." Once more I follow whoever's orders to the T.
"Good Siren now move to the brig." I hesitate and am met with a hard hit to my head. I grunt but do nothing to retaliate as Loki's pet grabs my arm and moves us forward though still careful enough to let me know there is a gun pointed at my head.

The hallways are clear no one to stop us and even if they did...like they would care. I feel the painful sting of tears in my eyes but bite them back as I am forced to the brig. To my dismay Loki is already out his hands poised behind his back and his green crazed eyes lock on us as we enter.
"Ah good you're here." I glare and the moment I feel gun happy behind me loosen his grip I duck the gun fires only my head isn't there and I turn launching up I slam my fist into his jaw it cracks shut and he flies backwards slamming into the wall.
"My my you do have a lot of pleasant surprises little Siren." I turn my lip pulled up into a snarl.
"Don't call me that." He chuckles unfazed by my threat as I lash out at him, he merely holds up a hands and my head throbs painfully I drop to the floor writhing in agony. "Do not worry you will understand your new place soon enough. But I would prefer you stay out of the way for now." A flash of green shoot from his hands and suddenly I can barely move he maneuvers me to the side out of his way as two more guards join us.
"He's coming." Loki smiles deviously as a chuckle slips out.
"Good." He turns attention on the cell as another him materializes out of nowhere and the door to the cell opens again.
"NO!" I jolt and turn my pain filled head, to the door as Thor rushes in, the clone crouches to fight but he only falls through and the clone disappears just as fast as it had appeared. Loki watches almost bored knowing he's won.
"Are you ever not going to fall for that?" Thor glares at his brother then sees me leaning back against the wall I look at him terrified of what is to come.

"Brother leave her out of this—"
"I have no intention to harm her, after all she reminds me of home."
"Loki she is a child!" I push off from the wall while Loki is occupied, taking a shallow breath I try to let out a note but am rewarded with a spark of pain that travels along my body sparking every nerve and burning every cell. I scream in pain, grasping at the ground if only to dim it.
"Oh I forgot to mention...you try to sing, your body will react painfully." I whimper as the pain dulls.
"Cameron!" Thor smashes his hands against the glass I reach out feebly to him. "Thor..." I know tears have slipped out I had thought SHIELD had prepared me for the worst...I had been wrong. Thor slams his hammer against the glass it splinters and cracks but doesn't give. As he does so the locks heavy a warning like Fury had said...if Thor were to hit it again...the locks would give and he would be dropped to the ground so very far below. Loki jolts with the locks but as soon as they halt he gives an almost delighted chuckle.
"The humans think us immortal." He struts over to the console, easily evading me as I trying weakly to grab at him.
"Should we test that?" He is halted though as his lacky grunts in pain I look up and am tempted to cry in relief as Coulson appears in his beautiful, suited glory. A weapon aimed at Loki I had never seen before.
"Move away please." Ever the gentleman even when addressing a madman. I manage to stand as Loki holds up his hands. Thank you gods for Coulson. I back away keeping myself against the wall and away from Loki as his attention remains on Coulson and the very big gun he handles...
"You okay?" He glances to me and I nod. His attention though is back on Loki.
"You like this?" He gestures with the gun.
"Started working on the prototype after you sent the Destroyer." He steps slowly forward and Loki matches by shuffling back.
"Even I don't know what it does." He flicks on a switch though and it hums to life. "Do you wanna find out?" I smile happily that the tides have at least turned in our favor.
"Blast him Coul-"
I think not! I freeze hearing Loki's threat before in slow motion, the Loki before me drifts away and the tip of the scepter protrudes through Coulson's chest.
"No!" I hear Thor scream before my own panicked shriek joins it.
"Coulson!" I rush forward my pain and torment forgotten as white noise fills my head I rush over to him. Pushing past Loki who has forgotten me for now. "Coulson...Oh god!" I hear myself whimpering as I put pressure on his wound the blood seeping between my fingers, warm and thick.
"It's okay Cam it's okay..."
"No it's not you're gonna be okay...Just. Stop. Bleeding!" I can't breath, hell I don't want to. As Coulson's hand grips my own he smiles faintly.
"You'll be okay—"
"Stop it, please...don't tell me it'll be okay right now—"

"It'll be okay." I'm close to sobbing as his wounds won't stop bleeding as I try to help but can't.
"Please...don't leave..." My pleas are cut off as another Loki clone grabs my arm and hair. Coulson can do nothing but watch, as can I. Loki turns having dropping Thor, his attention is back to Coulson.

"You're going to lose." I look down at Coulson tears streaming down my cheeks. "Am I?" Loki asks almost tired.
"It's in your nature..."
"Your heroes are scattered, your floating fortress falls from the sky, where is my disadvantage?"

"You lack conviction."
"I don't think I—" The gun powers up and sends Loki flying back. For a brief second I think the clone will disintegrate like the others, but it keeps its hold. Dragging me away as I fight back not caring as hair is ripped from my scalp, as Coulson's blood dries on my hands. I writhe trying to get back to him, to help, he turns smiling weakly at me.
"Remember that time I took you to the movies?" I scream in rage as my efforts to get back to him are thwarted and the distance between us grows even larger. As real Loki grabs me anger clear in his eyes placing a hand over my eyes. He leans down glaring his voice guttural and close to snapping.
"You think you feel agony now? Just wait my Siren." Another flash of green passes between us, pain ripples across my body once more. I gasp in agony but it is quick as my limbs go lax and my mind drifts away the last thing I hear...is Coulson saying my name.
