"No one can hurt you as badly as the people you love." -Ransom Riggs, Library of Souls

So just letting readers know this is a very dark chapter ahead, but also there shall be a change in point of view from Cameron's first person to narrative third.

"She's a freak!"
"She's our daughter!" I wince as I clutch my Captain America bear to me, Mommy and Daddy scream late into the night
...I can't do anything to make it stop.

I'm screaming banging at the door clawing scraping...hearing my older sister Joanna on the other side taunting.
'They're never gonna let you out! Mommy and Daddy hate you! The monsters will eat you then we can be happy again!"

"I'm sorry I'll be good!" I scream but she just kicks the door, causing me to fall back further into the darkness. I cry harder...as the shadows morph and take shapes ominous and choking me. I sing softly to myself trying and slowly succeeding in making myself sleep.

Such a waste of your talent.

I jolt away the nightmares, fading yet the tears still stream down my face. I realize I sit in a shaft of light. I can't make out anything else. I hear activity outside wherever we are, but Loki's focus is clearly on me.
"And she awakens at last." Loki steps into the light smiling down at me and then tuts lightly as he reaches out he means to brush at the tear trails on my cheeks. I flinch out of his grasp my limbs feel heavy. As I glance down I gasp seeing my hands bound in chains, covered in blood, Coulson's image fills my mind and I scream like a wounded animal. Loki kneels down and lifts my gaze up to meet his.
"Why do you weep for that mortal?" I glare wrenching my chin from his grip.
"He cared about me—"
"Don't be foolish." I glare at him.
"Why do you think I chose you?" I look to him then the ground...then back to him, "You think you can manipulate me—"
"Oh no I saw a kindred anger in you...at this world." I continue to glare but I don't correct him either.
"I don't want to destroy this world though."
"Oh you don't? Strange because as I see it this world has done nothing but destroy you, and all because of your gift—"
"Curse." He stops tilting his head though that grin never falls.
"You could have this world on a silver platter after all it's done to you."
"I don't want it." He's silent for a moment, he stands and walks away the lights flicker on and I see I am in some kind of room. All the walls are stone, and a lone chair furnishes it.
"I guess we'll have to do this the hard way." I blink my body freezing up as what looks like green smoke float around me.
"What do you—" He sits and his gaze locks onto mine. Suddenly my mind fogs over and before I can stop myself I take in a breath and begin. The music swarms around in my head as my vision goes blurry then dark, visions fill my head as the song begins.
I am...just another number, stack me up I'll crumble and drift along.

I'm sitting in the darkness of the closet where my Father would lock me up if I got too...vocal. My sister on the other side taunting me. Saying I'll never get out of the shadows that will devour me. Little me screams and pounds at the door as the shadows morph and reach out. I'm left there for hours until my hands are bloody and my eyes won't cry anymore.
I am, just another nothin line me up I'll fold in and then be gone.

I'm standing there holding my bear, my Mom kisses me lovingly on the head. She's the only one who gets out of the car when they leave me at Oma's.

The cop smiles sadly down at me whilst he speaks softly to my grandparents. Both who are weeping, begging him to be wrong. All I can make out is

"Black ice, no survivors." My entire family gone in the span of a few hours. Voices swirl around distorted and wrong as the memories keep going.
I am well suited for erasing faded into hazy...and sinkin' strong.

I'm at that damn party, I drink too much grabbing the mic to the sound system. I sing out my little heart. My voice hypnotizes makes the highs better, the lows worse. The bad trips terrible, I killed them. But I didn't mean to. SHIELD at the door. Me pulling and trying to get back in, to get back to Oma she won't be okay without me. I raise my tear filled eyes to see her as they shove me in the car. Fury is talking to her she looks to me and I see it...the regret. She called them?

I'm training with Natasha...She's pushed me too far, I just want to rest. My limbs ache my nose is bleeding, I can't breath because she probably cracked my rib, but she won't let up. I sing...I make her break her arm, she's aware the whole time, eyes watching her own body and me horrified as she finally cries out in pain when the bones snap. God I'm a monster...S he deserved worse.
I jolt panicking as I look to Loki who watches on, I know he can see what realizations are floating around in my mind.
"Please no more—"
"You're not ready."
And then it's all over and done.
Coulson bleeding out. Steve looking at me like I'm a freak. Tony watching silent as I fall. Natasha looking at me with horror in her eyes. Thor watching as I done nothing to stop the cell from falling. Fury looking at me as if I were some bug in his soup. None of them cared, I'm a freak, a liability I'm not strong enough... Destroy it. Now it's your turn to be caged.
Well suited for erasing
....Fading into hazy...And sinking strong.

She gasps a final time and Loki smirks. Her eyes all while reliving some of her most traumatic memories have slowly changed from their deep blue...to acidic green. He knew what he had seen when first meeting her. Another part lingered in the depths of her mind, her very soul in fact. A darker side, one that would help him with his rule. Those eyes look at him as her body goes slack. Loki stands and walks over kneeling by her prone form those acidic green eyes looking at nothing.
"Siren?" She blinks but nothing more.
"Cameron?" Her gaze shifts and pins him as she smiles sickly sweet. Her voice oozes from her lips seductive, dangerous.
"Not anymore."

Loki has left her to ready, she stares at herself in the mirror the Asgardian robe he provide is luxurious. One suited for a Queen, but her King is kind and has already shown the reward for which she will receive. It is the same color scheme as Loki's own. The main color is a deep evergreen long flowing skirt with a high slit to allow easier movement a tight corseted top, the bodice is modest and off the shoulder her sleeves are long and trumpeted at the ends though still a loose silken material that glides on the softest breeze. Her back though is completely exposed. She was confused by this but made no comments as she finished dressing. Wrapping a belt around her waist which a pair of twin daggers hung from. Their hilts gleaming a deep gold, the blades a sharp point Nordic runes carved into the silver.
"Ah beautiful." She turns returning Loki's wicked smile with her own.
"My Lord honors me with such pretty words." She bows low her hair having grown longer thanks to Loki's magics, brushes against the ground.
"Indeed I do, now one more gift. Before our conquering my Siren." She stands and blinks seeing a plate of gold in his hand.
"My Lord?" Her eyebrow quirking in clear confusion.
"It's much more impressive once you turn around." She does so without complaint sweeping her hair out of the way exposing her back.
"This...will hurt a bit I am afraid." She smiles wistfully.
"I shall endure any pain for you my Lord." He chuckles at this but proceeds to step behind her.
"Relax." She obeys his command releasing the clear tension in her muscles, as he presses the cold metal into her skin what comes next could only be describe as the purest form of agony she had ever felt. Her knees lock and she crumbles to the floor as what feels like hot knives embed themselves into her flesh, burrowing down to her spine, she feels it dim as something slips between her vertebras and finally it felt as if nothing was there.
"I apologize, the Valkyrie I find are more masochistic than history and lore display them as." She gasped finally finding her strength to stand again.
"What? Did you do to me?" She pants leaning against the wall for support. Loki smiles again.
"Your final gift my dear Siren is the gift of flight." She tilts her head confused.
"Just imagine your wings and they shall activate." She did as she was told and imagined glorious golden wings taller than her, that could take her to the highest heights, and destroy her enemies with one sweeping blow. She gasped as a cold tip touched her warm cheek opening her eyes...There they were beautiful made completely of metal they were strong. Almost looking like they would not be able to hold her aloft in flight, but she knew they would. The joints where rounded the wings themselves looked dangerously sharp but as she reached out to glide her fingertip along the edge her skin remained unharmed.
"They will only become a weapon, when you are in battle." She turns to face Loki a smile lighting her face.
"How did you come to have these my Lord?"

"Well the Valkyries left them in the hope one of our servants would join their ranks. They collected dust before I found them...Sadly they don't work on men and whenever they are removed or placed on they will cause great pain."
"How do they—"

"Simple the wings have formed a conduit between your brain and itself, you are now...how shall I easily explain it bonded, you simple call upon your wings and they shall come, they will never work for another until you perish." She twirled giggling as he spoke the wings flexing and gliding with her. A soldier stepped in bowing to both.

"It's time."
"Very good." He turned offering an arm, which she gladly took. Like Loki had instructed she took a breath imagining her wings dissolving away and before her amazed eyes they did similar to Loki's own magic's.
"Where are we going."
"You'll see." He left it there as their stroll took them to an elevator which ascended upwards to the building they resided in.
"Remain in the shadows for now Siren." She waits inside in the shadows of the penthouse as Loki saunters out to meet their guest. Stark hovers outside a roaring of energy ripples above. Her acidic gaze lifts upwards, her lips lift into a smile.
"So it has begun." She whispers gleefully to herself.
"Please tell me you've come to appeal to my humanity." She watches Stark as he confidently strolls in alone...Maybe he has come to surrender, but another part knows full well Stark would die before letting them win.
"Uh, actually I'm planning to threaten you." Loki takes a breathy laugh at this.
"You should have left your armor on for that."
"Yeah, seen a bit of mileage with you and the glowy stick of destiny." Loki smirks down at his weapon her own hands itch to grab her new daggers.
"Drink?" Loki smiles tossing the scepter from one hand to the other.
"Stalling me won't do you anything—"
"No, no, no threatening." Stark is at his bar now, why he would take time for a drink was beyond her but...interesting to say the least.
"No drink you sure I'm having one." Loki's breath deepens clearly his annoyed that this mortal has shown no signs of fear yet, he twists to the windows looking out over the city.
"The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?" Stark during this little monologue has opened a glass vessel with a brandy swirling inside. "The Avengers." He pauses seeing Loki doesn't not comprehend what he is talking about. But something sparks in her mind..a voice she want's to forget.
You will be a hero someday—
A sharp hiss of pain but she silences herself before she is noticed.
"it's what we call ourselves. Sort of like a team, Earth's mightiest heroes type thing." "Yes I've met them ." Loki smirks happy to know he all but destroyed them. She smirks at this as well. Tony gives a laugh as well.

"Takes us a while to get any traction I'll give you that one but let's do a head count here. You're brother the Demigod—" Loki bristles at this, the scepter twisting in his grip.
"The soldier living legend who kinda lives up to the legend, a man with breathtaking anger management issues, a couple of master assassins, a girl who can sing and anyone is her personal pet—"

"Actually...not on your side anymore." Tony blinks at this and Loki turns gesturing to her.
"Step forward dear, I'm sure your 'teammate' was it? Has missed you dearly." She steps forward her boots clacking on the marbled flooring she feels Tony's slack jawed gaze taking her in from head to toe coming back up to rest on her new eyes. "Cameron?" She tilts her head clicking her tongue in annoyance.

"Cameron is so...tomboyish too modern, I prefer Camilla." She smiles and Tony seems taken aback by her voice which encircles him for a moment before his senses return.
"What did you do to her." Loki chuckles having taken a strand of Camilla's hair and twisted it about his finger.
"I brought out her true nature the one this world you seem so desperate to avenge created."
"Well you managed to piss everyone including Camcorder off—"
"That was my plan."
"Not a very good one. When they come and they will they'll come for you." Loki smiles clearly the threat not reaching him.
"I have an army, and your dear Siren."
"We have a Hulk."
"Oh I thought the beast had wandered off—"
"You're missing the point there's no throne there is no version of this where you come out on top." Camilla steps forward her eyes flashing dangerously.
"You think to stop us?" Tony glares silent for a moment.
"Maybe your army comes maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you cause if we can't protect the Earth you can be damn well sure we'll Avenge it." Camilla smirks as Tony takes a swing of his drink.
"How will your friends have time for me? When they're so busy fighting you?" The scepter powers up—but unlike the others the tip clangs against the metal arch reactor in Tony's chest. Camilla blinks as a part of her wants to giggle at the lack of reaction but the other wins stepping forward.
"You won't be able to control him—" Loki snarls grabbing Tony and tossing him to the ground.
"Jarvis any time now." Camilla watches—till a pain spikes in her brain, she sucks in a breath attempting to ignore the screaming she hears. Her green eyes waver between their bright green and a duller green as she fights off a wave of dizziness.
No Tony!
"Be quiet you—" She freezes as Loki without a single hesitation throws Tony throw a window. She rushes forward past him her eyes dimming and her voice returning for a moment.

"Tony!" Loki grabs her their eyes meeting.
"I thought you stronger then this Camilla." The acidic green returns and the Siren gulps hanging her head.
"Forgive me my Lord...I will keep her under firmer lock—" He throws her aside with a growled.
"See that you do."
