Let's all pretend I said something witty here, okay?
No. I don't wanna. —Natnatcortizzle
Euth's POV
"I'm sorry Euth. But I just don't see Eva destroying the world, I'm not sure if she would see it either," Nadalia said after I explained to her the vision I had seen of Eva's sword.
"I know it's unlikely and improbable, but I know what I saw Nadalia!" She had this pitying look on her face that I really wanted to slap off, but I didn't. She'd bite me if I did anyway.
I sighed. "Fine, don't believe me. Just watch her, make sure she doesn't go insane and start killing people. Please?"
Now she looked angry. "I am not going to spy on my friend, Euth! You do it if you're so worried." Her glare would probably have scared me if I hadn't grown up in the Underworld, but I did. So it didn't.
"I can't! I will look suspicious. You're Eva's friend, plus I'm not asking you to spy on her. Just watch her, be Eva's guardian angel or something."
This time it was Nadalia's turn to sigh. "Fine. I'll do it, but only because you called me an angel. I can only wish I was an angel, because then I could find—never mind."
In the corner of my eye I see a colorful blur streak across camp and head towards the cabins. As I turn towards it I see that it is in fact Eva. Nadalia seems to realize it too.
"Hey, isn't that Eva? Where is she going in such a hurry?" Nadalia asks, while following Eva's progress with her eyes.
"I don't know."
"It was a rhetorical question."
"Oh…well then. No need to be rude about it."
Eva seems to have reached her destination, the Athena cabin. I want to warn her that they are in the forest working on battle strategies, but I'm too far away.
I watch as she pulls back and kicks the door, hard, in frustration.
"I'm gonna go help her," Nadalia says before sprinting off towards the Athena cabin. I, on the other hand, don't move.
For some reason I can't stand to watch anymore. I turn my back and walk into the forest. Nadalia doesn't believe me, but I know what I saw; I know Eva is dangerous and if Nadalia wants to put herself in harms way, so be it.
Nadalia's POV
Being around Euth was getting uncomfortable. I can't believe he wants me to spy on my only friend at this camp.
Like that's going to happen.
Besides Euth is creepy, always hanging in the forest and stuff. I get the feeling Nico and him will get along, but that's beside the point. I reach Eva at the Athena cabin pretty quickly. She is still kicking the door.
"Hey! Calm down Eva. Stop!" I say as I grab her shoulders and pull her back.
"No! I need to see Annabeth; Leo said she was the only one. Leo is injured, badly and it's something no medicine can fix. We need a brain, and Annabeth is the best."
"It's going to be okay. Don't you think if they were in there they would have opened the door?"
When Eva turns around I see her face for the first time in this conversation. I take an involuntary step backward. Her eyes are hollow and dangerous looking. Eva has streaks on her face where tears had been and her eyes were a vibrant red. She looked like an animal.
"Eva, what happened?"
She flinches. "You don't want to know."
"Actually I do." I say, frowning. "You don't know what I want."
"Fine, I'll tell you," Eva says back, though she is obviously confused by my words.
"Remember, I'm not a people person. I tend to say things I don't mean to." There. That should clear it up, even though that wasn't the whole truth.
"Are you going to listen or not?"
Eva's POV
"My fire is gone."
At first I had laughed, thinking it was a joke, but his eyes told another story. He was terrified.
"Leo, is everything alright?"
"No, not at all. You're new here right?"
"Yeah, so?"
"So you don't know anything about the Seven and Gaea and the Great Prophecy?"
"Not a thing."
"Okay a quick update. There are seven very powerful demigods in this world and a prophecy sent them on a quest to save the world from the world herself, Gaea. It's confusing; don't think about it. Anyway, the Seven demigods succeed and the world was saved. But one of the demigods fell in love with an imprisoned goddess on the way. And he has been using his powers to build a navigation device to get back to her, even if everyone says it's impossible. The End."
"That is not an end, that's a middle. Who are the Seven? Who is the one in love? How does this tie into your fire? You can't end a story like that."
"Well it's real life, this actually happened not everything is going to have a happy ending. But I will answer your questions. The Seven are Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Hazel, Frank and yours truly. The one in love is-"
"It's you isn't it?"
"Yeah, yeah it is."
"And it ties in to your power because you need it to get back to her."
"The way it's looking everybody may be right. I probably will never find Calypso again."
Leo looks so deflated. Like someone had stuck a needle in him. "I promised her I would come back, you know. I swore it on the River Styx, I don't plan on breaking my promise and her heart in the process."
It was then when I realized that Leo and I were alike. We both put on brave faces and smiled all the time but inside we were hurting. Something wet dripped onto my hand; it was a tear. My tear, I was crying, and I couldn't stop.
"Eva, are you alright? Is everything okay."
I look up, determined. "You are going to make it back to Calypso. That is my promise, I will make it happen, I swear on the River Sticks."
"Styx," Leo says with a small smile.
"Whatever." I was going to do this. I was going to make Leo happy. He deserves it. Hell, I deserve it, and I haven't even saved the world.
"What do I do? Give me an instruction and I'll get it done."
"Find Annabeth. She's the only one with this kind of knowledge, besides Chiron, but I don't want him involved. Let's keep this quiet, okay?"
"Sure, but I am a really terrible liar. So if people ask I will probably tell the truth."
"Don't let people ask then, unless you really trust them of course."
"Alright, you got yourself a deal." I stick my hand out and Leo quickly grips it with a loose grasp.
I only tell Nadalia the basics. That I need Annabeth, Leo is injured, and I can't tell her anything else. Surprisingly, I am not racked with guilt when I don't tell her the whole truth.
Maybe Hermes is getting to me. Meh.
She is currently taking me to the forest where the Athena kids are practicing war strategies. Apparently since the last time they were attacked they have been working a lot harder on their battle plans. As we enter the forest I hear the sounds of a heated argument.
"Listen asshole, I don't give a schist about your stupid battle strategies. I was sent to find a training ground for Ares and I found one. Here. So leave before I bring them and this nice clearing gets messy."
Breaking into the clearing I see the strangest sight ever. A small girl 5'2 ish is glaring up at Annabeth, who has twenty fully dressed warriors assembled behind her.
"I understand that you don't want to disappoint your cabin mates, but we were here first. Oh… and feel free to bring the Ares cabin down, they won't stand a chance." Annabeth turns the full force of her glare on the girl then, and even though she obviously doesn't want to, she steps back.
I take a step forward to let them know I'm here when my foot lands on something insecure, and I tumble into the clearing, down the small incline. Finally, I stopped at the one girl's feet.
"What the fu-"
"Language!" Nadalia yells as she steps into view.
"I'm okay thanks for asking." I say beginning to stand up and brushing myself off. Annabeth reaches over and pulls me up.
"Eva, Nadalia, what are you doing here?"
"Whatever it is I don't care, just leave the clearing Athena brats," snarls the Ares girl.
"Callie, please be quiet," Annabeth declares, exasperated. "I am not leaving this clearing, so if you want to make Clarisse happy, go and find another one before you run out of time."
"Actually," I speak up, "you will be leaving this clearing. That's why I'm here. Leo isn't doing to 'hot,' and specifically requested your presence. Something really bad happened."
Annabeth looks startled. "Leo is in trouble? I thought the Apollo campers said he was going to be fine."
"It's not exactly 'health related'."
"Is this some other prank? I swear, if Leo—."
"No! It's not a prank something is seriously wrong. I promise."
Annabeth looks conflicted, stay and show up Callie or find Leo and settle her curiosity.
She twists on her heel, "Malcolm, you are in charge. Don't leave until you're done with the strategy plans. Continue working on Gorgon- Slayer; make sure it works. I want to see it perfect condition when I get back." Then she turns to me, "Let's go Eva. Nadalia go join your cabin in their regular activities."
"Pssh. Regular activities. I'm pretty sure Nico sleeps in a coffin during the day, and Euth never comes out of the woods. There are no regular activities for the Hades cabin. Whatever, I'm going to go practice with my saber." Nadalia gives us a peace sign as she walks out of the clearing humming a song that sounds suspiciously like "Row Row Row Your Boat".
"Let's get going I don't want to leave Leo waiting, he'll probably set something on fire."
"I highly doubt that." I mumble.
Callie's POV
I don't know what's going on. I kind of zoned out after the Eva girl started talking, all I really got from the entire conversation was that Annabeth was leaving but the rest of the Athena brats weren't. That sucks.
Anyway, I get the feeling that I wasn't going to get anywhere with the Athena cabin, so I kind of just walked away.
No one really noticed, and I don't blame them. I really needed to find a space for my cabin to practice.
Don't get me wrong; I can hold my own in a fight but fighting the entire Ares cabin might be a struggle.
I was venturing deeper and deeper into the woods, looking for an acceptable spot when I see something moving in the underbrush.
My instincts immediately put me in a defensive crouch and I creep slowly towards the figure.
As I get closer it becomes clear that it is a human, but the gender is impossible to tell since it is wearing a long cloak.
Suddenly it's head snaps towards me and I stumble back, startled. With a whorl of its black cloak the figure is gone.
But how did it hear me? I didn't make the cliché mistake of snapping a twig, my breathing was quiet, and I am better than some Hermes kids at sneaking around, so how in Hades did the pile of schist hear me!?
And why, when it turned towards me, did it have eyes the color of blood?
Hope you enjoyed! I would also like to add that I appreciate all reviews no matter the content.
Peace Out,

P.S. Is Eva a Mary Sue? I need some replies. I don't want to write a Mary Sue and I need some feedback!
