Swooping between buildings Camilla was aware of all the eyes upon her. Whether in fear or some misplaced hope, she didn't care as she landed on a ledge overlooking the chaos below. Her acidic gaze taking in the carnage as more Chitauri flew through the portal to the city below. Her gaze lifted to the portal for a few moments, she wondered what lay beyond, but her thoughts were interrupted. A Chitauri fighter pulled up beside her chittering and growling at her in their garbled language. She turns her attention to them as they ask for orders.
"Get to the ones hiding in the building, chorale them." She glances back down as a group of chitauri, Loki at their helm raining blaster fire upon the street. The sounds of the freighted and injured scream reaching her ears, she feels her other react, knows that this is destroying her but she remains passive. Her attention then going to the dismal remains of the 'Avengers', chitauri ground soldiers had arrived and were now taking care of the mortals on the ground, which the flyers were too busy to worry about. She watched silent as they shot at her—Cameron's friends. She didn't care if they came out of this nor if they were injured. She stands wings flex spreading mockingly mirroring an image of an angel.
"Oh..." She calls over her shoulder as the fighter prepares to depart.
"If any of them show resistance...or refuse to cooperate make an example of them." No other words needed to be exchanged as Camilla leapt. her wings beating in the wind as she felt the tingle of Loki's presences in her mind.
"Stir up the pot I don't think the mortals are afraid enough." Camilla nods and lands on a crashed bus, she hears the screams inside as her landing dents the roof. She leaps again landing on the rubble concrete of the street. A few of the cops there turn and she sees them visibly pale as she approaches, she smirks tilting her head. In fear the officers raise their weapons and her smile only grows wider. As she takes a soft breath and begins to sing. The song starts with just her vocalizing on a few notes before slipping into words.
"What explodes like a fractal? Pops like a light bulb looks really awful at four in the morning?" She watches as their arms go slack, their eyes glazing over, then they turn their weapons on to civilians. All who begin to scream in panic as bullets shower around them.
"Wolves with their dead stares, coils round your ankles, fangs long as neck ties and strikes without warning..." She steps along easily avoiding the chaos around her, her new police escorts firing off rounds behind her. She stops though, as her attention is drawn to an overturned car inside she sees...two people one larger than the other. She blinks her song halting though she still maintains a connection to the officers. She doesn't notice the chitauri that lands on top of the car causing the metal to groan at the added weight, and the two beings huddled inside, scream in fear as their cramped hiding spot closes in on them.
"Grandma!" The little one cries out clutching tighter onto the larger, Camilla doesn't realize it but she is moving to the car. Her hand clawing the metal of the door, which crunched beneath her strength with one yank, the door wrenched free from the car frame and she tossed it away. Inside an elderly woman clutched onto her shivering grandson. Camilla's head tilted, she didn't say anything just stared at the two terrified civilians who watched her in turn.
"Are you an angel?" The boy asked though, he still clutched onto his Grandmother, but his gaze didn't break from her own. Camilla didn't answer, rather a ground soldier interrupted her, he growled at her having already killed the two officers his gaze now on the two in the car. She turned her upper lip curling into a snarl.
"As I recall you have buildings to empty!" The chitauri deflated but glanced between the girl and the two, seeing his clear questioning of her power she stood, with a quick tense of her trapezius muscles her wings shot forward the tips of the bladed wings ending a few centimeters from his throat. This made the chitauri freeze, understanding clear in his eyes.
"Hesitate on one of my orders again...and I won't hesitate to end you." His fearful gaze though glanced behind her and she heard a chorus of enraged chitauri screams. She turned only to gasp as the huge whale like creature seemed to collide with something, then with an explosive fired by Stark hit, the creature was no more. Camilla felt the other take this victory as a good thing but those thoughts were silenced as Loki's voice invades once more.
"I think it's time you took on Thor." She nodded glancing one more time over her shoulder to see the two had fled whilst she was distracted. But again she followed orders seeing as Thor practically provided a beacon for her. The lighting striking the portal delaying the next wave of the army. With a harsh flap of her wings she was airborne and gaining on the god of thunder. He didn't see her coming even though tendrils of lightning zapped at her making her growl in pain, Thor realized too late she was upon him as she slammed hard into his side. His grip on the Chrysler building slipping he gasped seeing Camilla.
"Cameron!?" She snarled her leg lashing out colliding with a damaging force against his leg. Thor roared in pain in defense his hand lashed out attempting to grab her. She easily evaded his grip swooping in and out of range attacking when she could. She noticed his bleeding wound, and Thor noticing her gaze caught on and was ready this time as she swooped again, he grabbed her arm flinging her away. Camilla shrieked in anger as her wings nearly lost purchase in the air. But she was able to right herself, not quick enough Thor now slammed into her, the force knocking them into a free fall. Thor pushed off from her to land against a skyscrapers side. Camilla was not so lucky as her back collided with an all glass side the glass shattering, she fell into the office building, the civilians inside all screaming in fear as they watched
in mute horror as the winged girl got back up. Her back bleeding from bits of glass now embedded in her flesh, Camilla huffed flexing her back the wings shaking any dust and glass from their joints. She saw Thor and her green gazed flashed in seething rage she leapt out and straight for the Asgardian. Thor was better prepared for this attack crossed his arms over himself Mjolnir added to his defense, as he took the brunt of her attack there he looked into her eyes and grunted as he kept her at bay.
"Cameron we are allies!" She growled a few strands of hair slipping from the tight bun she had made.
"It's Camilla!" She screamed one of her wings lashing out catching Thor's leg, he cried out in pain as the feather tip came away bloodied.
"Forgive me." His arms pushed her back and taking Mjolnir, he swung releasing as his arm came to a full extension the hammer flew from his grasp, the hammer whacking into Camilla's left wing she screamed in agony as she went into a free fall. Luckily she landed, albeit shakily on her feet the wings disappearing as Camilla attempting to calm the searing pain in her back. She looked up glaring as Thor landed catching Mjolnir in his out stretched hand.
"Cameron I know you are still there! I know you do not wish to harm this world." She snarled pulling out one of her daggers and rushing at him. He caught the dagger on the hilt of Mjolnir.
"I am going to kill the world that created me god of thunder!" She spat out the title mockingly, as she managed to sweep their weapons to the side leaving Thor open for another attack. Her head rushing forward colliding in a head butt with his own. Thor groaned stumbling back, gathering his wits. Camilla was fast though, her leg lashing out to catch him in the abdomen, Thor grunted crumbling but managing to grab her leg in the process he twisted her leg forcing Camilla to flip so that she landed with a cough onto the roof. He stood kicking away her dagger as she turned eyes flashing a deadly green, as he moved to incapacitate her she rolled again, catching Thor's leg with her own she knocked him down he landed hard the wind knocked from his lungs she lashed out again with her fist punching him in the jaw, she tried again only to have the next punch caught by Thor and his own fist launched out to collide with her jaw. Her head spun for a moment as her head fell back hitting the hard surface of the roof top. Thor stood his chest heaving from the battle.
"Cameron...please, Coulson spoke of you so highly—" She didn't hear the rest of Thor's plea as, her head erupted into intense and horrid pain. Camilla screamed fingers clutching at her temple as if somehow that would quell it. When her eyes opened again they weren't green, rather the blue of Cameron's. Thor blinked hoping he had somehow helped the poor girl.
"Thor I—I'm sorry!" She looked panicked, her eyes filling with tears but just as soon as she had been there she was gone the green invading her gaze once more and Camilla reacted with a new force. She let out a powerful almost screaming note and Thor was thrown back by the force of it, he gazed up at the chitauri filled sky for a moment his mind not registering this part of the power as he whispered.
"Lena could never do that..." He was shocked though as no other attack came after that, he sat up to see Camilla had brought back her wings fixed and shining brightly, tears streamed down her cheeks her lip bleeding profusely, and bruises were beginning to form along her jaw and forehead. Her gaze fell level with him and his heart almost stopped at the amount of malice he found there.
"We'll have words again Asgardian, for now I have more pressing matters." With that she rushed to the edge leaning down to grasp her discarded dagger sheathing it she leapt and her wings spreading and catching the wind she was airborne and weaving her way through the battles.
"What happened!?" Loki's cruiser arrived beside her, Camilla hung her head already knowing he would not be pleased in her failure.
"I apologize my lord—" His magic lashed out causing her to writhe in pain.
"Do not give me excuses, give me results!" His attention turned to a bestial cry coming from one of the roof tops. Loki smirked turning his cunning gaze to Camilla. "Take care of the mindless beast, and you shall have my forgiveness." Her nod was most eager like a child attempting to please a parent.
"It shall be dealt with my lord." With that her wings flapped with renewed vigor as she went to clash with a beast she had yet to meet.
