What is this magic? Two posts in two days? Impossible!

Eva POV

I was not going back into that room; the depressing faces and noxious smell were enough to get to anyone, but especially the only and only fainting demigod. Deciding to be productive I walk to the training arena, maybe I shouldn't have skipped sword-fighting lessons.

I get the feeling I'm gonna need them soon.

When I arrive Percy is at the center of the arena, sword outstretched in mock battle stance. In a burst of motion he swings his sword and begins to battle a nonexistent opponent. My jaw drops in awe, he was awesome, wonder if I will ever be able to fight like that…

I'm about to ask him for private lessons or something when the angry girl from the clearing appears on the other side of the arena and calls out, "There is some creep in the woods! Blood red eyes and everything."

Percy's head snaps up and levels a shocked gaze on the girl, "What do you mean Callie?"

'Callie' hurtles down the stairs and jumps the last few, her hair is unruly and her face is the color of a tomato, "I mean what I said." All right then, "This guy who calls himself 'Mormo' was in the woods and when I approached him he told me that he is the son of a human and an empousai, that's not possible… Right?"

Percy looks contemplative, "I mean I guess it's possible, Annabeth would know for sure."

That's when I speak up, "Annabeth is in the infirmary."

Percy looks startled, "What do you mean? Is she okay?" Panic begins to grow in his eyes, "She's fine, Leo just needed her for a moment." His shoulders relax and Callie speaks up, "Mormo can also disappear in flashes of red light, if you are interested." Her arms are crossed and she is obviously not happy with the change of topic.

"We should tell Chiron, he knows more than any of us, maybe he has seen something like this before."

Callie seems to agree with Percy and I can't think of a better plan, "What about Mormo? Should someone go try to find him?"

Callie snorts, "He's not dangerous, when I caught up to him he was absolutely terrified. I'm more worried about how he got into Camp and what he signals."

I think of Leo and grimace. "One thing is for sure, things are changing." Percy says with a frown on his face, I guess change is bad in the demigod world.

Annabeth POV

Honestly I don't know why I'm out here, what's the likelihood of finding something new? But I inspect the ground anyway; I wrinkle my nose at the sight of Leo's blood splattered across the small clearing. When I reach the largest puddle of blood I see something shiny lying in the river. Carefully, I reach into the freezing waters and extract the shiny piece of metal.

No… Not metal. It's a cell phone, so whomever stabbed Leo was not a demigod, good to know. Sighing, I inspect the device closely.

If my understanding of the modern police lexicon is correct I believe this is what is called a 'burner' phone.

In other words, it's untraceable.

But, I'm sure the Stolls could get past the passcode lock on the phone, and then we can find out whom the perpetrator called. I smile slightly to myself; in another life I would have made a good detective.

Leo POV

Well that was a bust; the only thing I found online that was interesting was a book series about twelve swords with magic powers. If I don't get any better maybe I'll ask Annabeth to get the series for me.

Angrily, I slam the laptop shut.

Whatever powers this sword contains are a mystery to Google, and everyone else in existence.

Gods, why couldn't I have been stabbed with a normal weapon?

I am way too bored; I throw the blankets off my legs and attempt to stand. Almost immediately my legs crumble and I face plant the ground, not exactly what I was hoping for.

I try to lift myself up but all my limbs are weak and I can't manage it, I can't even flip over. Then I get a brilliant idea, "HELP ME!" I'm in the infirmary; someone has got to be nearby. Sure enough that Jess girl pushes the curtain aside and nearly trips over my outstretched arm.

"What are you doing on the floor?" She asks with a small smirk on her face.

"Taming elephants, help me up will you?" Jess crouches next to me and grabs my arm, lifting me onto the bed, "Was there a reason you tried to get out of bed?"

"Yeah, I'm bored."

"Oh no! Not the McShizzle!" She says with mock horror, "Funny, you got a wheelchair? The Supersized McShizzle wants to go for a walk." She rolls her eyes and leaves, coming back with a wheelchair.

"This work?"

I smile at her, "It will suit my needs. Can you help me get into it?"

With a smirk on her face she walks to my side, "I'll give it a shot, but you are way heavier than you look." Then Jess ducks her head under my arm and wraps an arm around my waist. She lets out a grunt, "You could help."

I gaze around, "No I don't think so, I'm enjoying the ride." All of the sudden she drops me into the chair.

"Asshole." But she is smiling so I don't take her words too seriously.

"Thanks Jess." She looks almost surprised that I remember her name, "Uh… You're welcome Leo."

Giving her a wave I roll myself out of the room, slowly but surely I make my way to Cabin Numero Nueve. I needed to do a little research, without the crappy help of Google.

Huh… I should make a demigod version of Google.

Call it Godsgle or something.

I should patent that.

See ya around.

Peace Out,
