Three dates happened on the same night. One went well, one did not (sort of), and one was somewhere in the middle. I guess for happiness's sake we'll start with the one that went well, relayed to me by my brother.

He knocked on the door of the apartment where Emma was waiting. She greeted him with a smile. "Hi Neal," she said.

"Hey Emma. Thanks again for giving me a second chance."

"You deserved it," she said. "You gave your life for us."

"It's a good think my sister brought me back, huh?"

"Yeah. I'll have to thank her again. So, what's the surprise plan for the evening?"

"We go out to dinner first -"

"Fun."

"Yeah. Then we go see a movie."

"Also fun."

"Then we cross the theater and pick Henry up from his date, which Regina is dropping him off at."

"Sounds like a plan."

The dinner contained pleasant conversation, politeness, but then at the movie, when it was dark and no one could see them, Emma had something else to say. "Neal, that time I wished you were dead - sorry about that."

He chuckled. "It's alright, it was a long time ago."

"Yeah, but after watching you die for the second time, I realized I couldn't ever truly handle you being dead. It was bad enough the first time, but that was when until a few minutes earlier you were engaged to Tamara and I was still mad at you."

"Yeah, you weren't jealous at all."

"Oh, shut up," she teased, before growing serious again. "But also... when I went back in time, I met your father, and he wouldn't let me go without me telling him what happened to you. So I told him the truth. He had a memory potion, to avoid messing with the past, and I convinced him to drink it anyway, even though he wanted to save you."

Neal stared at her for a second. "You did the right thing," he decided.

"By keeping you dead?"

"By not messing with the past. A lot of bad things could have happened. Henry might never have been born. And that's worse than keeping me dead."

Emma smiled. "You're a good dad, Neal."

"Thanks. You're an even better mom."

"Movie's starting."

"Yep."

Henry's date didn't end the same way. He and Grace sat in the theater with their food, and were just talking, when someone behind them was smirking at them and making them feel uncomfortable, then started telling them to kiss.

"This is weird, right?" asked Grace.

Henry nodded. "Us... kissing. We've just... been friends for a while."

"Yeah. Um, Henry?"

"Yes?"

"Should we maybe keep it that way for now?"

Henry thought about it for a bit. "Yeah. We should."

So maybe not so bad after all.

As for me...

I wore a dress and my hair was braided. I walked out into the hallway and met up with Michael, and we walked to Granny's. Everyone was giving us weird looks. That girl who was the pirate's daughter and that strange boy from somewhere mysterious, that's what we were to the town. Granny smiled at us, as did Ruby, but everyone else seemed to back away.

We got through our meal and went out to take a walk. It was a beautiful evening.

"You ever dated before?" Michael asked.

I shook my head. "You?"

"Well I think I had a girlfriend in like third grade... but not for real, no. Emmy was the only girl I knew for several years, and that would just be creepy."

"So it's your first real date too."

"Yeah."

"Cool."

We were both thinking about doing a kiss like they apparanetly did in movies, but just as we were about to, I fell into the lake.

Drying myself off and burning with humiliation, I mumbled something about going home and left, but I still felt like smiling.
