Btw, I know there are probably many mistakes and I'm sorry for them! Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
Clary POV
"MAGNUS! Where the fuck are you?! Get your glittery ass here now or it won't be glittery at all after I've destroyed all your glitters." I winced as Isabelle, my maid of honor, roared. Thirty seconds later Mags bursts from the door, his black tuxedo with a of course glittery bow and a white shirt still hanging from a hanger in his hands. He was panting like a crazy, leaning against his knees after carefully putting down the hanger he was still holding.
"Jeez woman, what?!" He glared at Isabelle.
"Is this alright? Since you designed the damn dress, I have to do her hair to match the dress you did." Izzy grumbled. I knew she loved the dress as much as I did though.
"Oh, shut it. You know you love the dress. The wedding shop- dresses are nothing compared to this." Magnus had a smug smirk on his lips. "But yes, the hair's perfect. Just like a hoped it would be." He gave Isabelle a real smile and that seemed to soften her. Isabelle nodded and moved around the chair I was sitting on to do my make up while Magnus did my nails. I knew they loved the whole 'getting ready' phase, I could've just skipped it, but I wanted to make them happy as well on my wedding day. They were my closest friends and their happiness was important to me.
An hour later Isabelle finally let me look at myself – I was shocked. I knew Isabelle was good but I had no idea she was that good. The look was almost natural, nothing too striking but still it looked very classy and elegant. I had a little dark eye-shadow on the outer corners, thin black lines above the lashes and long dark lashes. Not my own though, Isabelle had insisted to get me some kind of eyelash extensions, and I had to admit – they looked great, better than my own would've.
"Oh Clare! You look so beautiful! Isabelle I have to admit – you are amazing!" Magnus whispered in awe.
"Yeah, thank you Iz. I love you, you know that right?" I said, tears forming in my eyes. Of course we all could count on me – I would be the traditional blushing and crying bride.
"Yes, yes. Now Clarissa stop it, let's not ruin your makeup, thank you very much!" Isabelle waved her hand in front of my face. I laughed and took a deep breath in and released it slowly.
"There you go, good!" Izzy smiled to me and kissed my cheek. I squeezed her hand before turning to look at Magnus. He was holding up the absolutely most beautiful wedding dress – my dress. I squealed a bit and clapped my hands. Isabelle and Magnus chuckled at me and helped me into the dress. I closed my eyes while Isabelle slowly did the buttons on my back and Magnus straightened the hem. I carefully ran my hands on the silky material. Isabelle told me to lift my feet – one at the time to put on the strappy heels.
"Open your eyes." Magnus whispered. I opened my eyes and gasped. It was, if possible, more beautiful than on the previous times I'd tried it on.
It was a off-shoulder long sleeved princess dress. The sleeves were translucent lace and it fit me perfectly from the breast to the waist where it puffed out. The top part was made of the same lace than the sleeves and the lace continued it's way down on the skirt part. Isabelle had put my hair into a low loose bun, few curls framing my face, the veil under the bun.
"Oh Clary! You look so beautiful honey!" A new voice said from the door. I turned around to face my mother and she rushed to give me a hug. I hugged her back, inhaling the familiar and comforting scent. She smelled like my childhood home. She smelled safe.
"Thanks mom." I whispered as I pulled away to look at her. She was wearing a simple knee length black dress and matching heels. Her hair was in big curls, hanging down on her back.
"Where are the kids?" I asked her. My mother had promised to get them all ready with the help on Maryse and Luke.
"They're with Luke in the other room." Maryse said as she quietly slipped in and closed the door behind her. "Oh, darling, you look amazing!" She smiled warmly to me.
"Thank you, Maryse. So I assume you got them ready? Even Vivi?" I asked in disbelief. They were not exactly the easiest girls to dress up. The only one who actaully enjoyed it was Jennifer. She loved to be dressed up, to have her hair and nails done.
"Yes, even the little monster we call Vivia." Maryse laughed. She was right. I remember once saying and thinking that Viva was the easiest baby on the planet – well now I have to take back my words. She's impossible – she loves to run away, she absolutely hates dresses and in general putting on any clothes – she'd be naked all the time if it was an option. Maryse had told us Jace was just like her when he was little. So yes, our little angel Vivia was just like her father. In every possible way. Vivia was only a year and half, and was running already like a maniac. But she was our little maniac. She had everyone wrapped around her fingers, like really everyone. Jace especially.
I shook my head and laughed, being able to imagine the three adults trying to dress her up into her white puffy princess dress. I had Magnus to do their hairs earlier that morning – they had their long hairs pulled into a simple and elegant bun on top of their heads with white ribbons on one side. Though I really doubted that Vivia's hair was in that bun anymore.
"What about the buns? Are they still on point?" Magnus piped in.
"Yes, actually, they are. What did you do to them?" My mother said laughing.
"I emptied a bottle of a hairspray into each one of them." He winked. Magnus had put on the tuxedo and was now struggling with the bow tie. I walked to him to help. He smiled at me before lifting his chin up, to help to get the bow right.
"There you go." I patted his shoulder. He nodded and kneeled to knot his shoelaces.
"Clary, could you zip me up?" Isabelle asked, turning around. She was wearing a beautiful dark purple floor length strapless dress. I did her zip and gently spinned her around.
"Wow you look amazing Iz!" I said in awe.
"Pfft. Today nobody's looking at me, all the attetion is on you. We've made sure of it!" She chirped and winked to me. Of course they had. They knew I didn't enjoy that much all the stares.
"Mommy!" I heard Vivia yelling as the door bursted open and the four girls ran in, a panting Luke behind them.
"How do you do this everyday?!" Luke asked, eyes widened. I laughed and crouched down onto Vivia's level.
"Hello angel, were you nice to grandpa-Luke?" I asked, frowning a little.
"Yes!" She smiled her 'angel-smile'. I looked questionly at Lex who was standing next to her younger sister. She shrugged and mouthed me as nice as she can be. I laughed and scooped Vivia up into my arms and carefully stood up.
"Do you remember what you do when the music starts?" I asked her. She nodded. "What do you do?"
"I take Wexi's hand and walk with hew." I nodded and gave her to Magnus who had reached for her.
"That's right. And do you remember what you are not allowed to do?" I asked, looking at her seriously. She nodded again.
"I can't wan away!" She cheered, expecting to everyone give her applause. That didn't happen and the sour look on her face was just like her father. Jace. The thought of him made my stomach turn around.
"I think I'm going to be sick." I said and put a hand over my mouth.
"NO! No, no, no! Clary you can't, you can't smell like a week old vomit! Just breath, take a seat. Here, I'll get you a glass of water." Isabelle rushed to get me water. I looked her as she dashed around the room, desperately searching for water.
"Iz, calm down, I'm fine! I'm just so nervous that I'm beginning to feel sick." I comforted her.
"What are you nervous about?" My mother asked me as she sat down next to me, placing a hand on mine. I really didn't know. I knew I loved Jace. And I knew Jace loved me as much. We were the ones for each other.
"I don't actually know." I said, causing everyone burst into laughter. I just wanted to see him. To feel his and in mine. His eyes on me and lips on my lips. I looked around, checking out that everyone was ready. The girls were dressed in their cute fluffy white princess dresses, Isabelle and Magnus were ready and so were Maryse and my parents.
"Okay, I guess it's time to go!" I said, standing up and making my way towards the door. Isabelle and Magnus put the girls into right order – Alexandra and Vivia first, hand in hand. Then Valerie and Jennifer both carrying small bouquets, then Isabelle and Magnus followed by Maryse and my mother. Then finally me and Luke. I took a deep breath in as the music started playing and the church's doors opened, all the people stood up. I looked for Jace with my eyes and could breath again as soon as I found him. He was standing at the altar with Alec and Will, looking at us. I notice him smiling at the girls, giving each a kiss on foreheads before he looked up and locked his eyes with me.
And then everyone else disappeared. There were only Jace and me left. His golden eyes locked on me, his smile so big I thought it would break his face. I thought I had seen him looking his best already. Well I was wrong, again. He looked so damn sexy in the black tuxedo, white shirt, grey vest and grey tie. His golden curls were combed into neat waves and he had shaved. The whole sight of him made me want to run to him, take him right there. But I couldn't. So I waited. I waited for his hand.
Finally Luke and I reached them. Jace bowed to Luke who smiling put my hand onto my soon-to-be husband's and I was home. I knew I should've listened what the priest was saying but I was too busy staring at Jace. His smile was the most beautiful thing in the world – it could melt the mount Everest.
"Now I ask you, Jonathan Christopher Herondale, do you take Clarissa Adele Fray to be your wedded wife, to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health, and forsaking all others, be faithful only to her, for as long as you both shall live?" The priest asked, looking at Jace.
"I do." Jace said loudly and gave me my favourite smile. He looked as happy as I felt. I still couldn't believe this man was going to be mine. The priest turned to look at me and asked:
"Clarissa Adele Fray, do you take Jonathan Christopher Herondale to be your wedded husband to live together in marriage? Do you promise to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and health and forsaking all others, be faithful only to him so long as you both shall live?"
"I do." I said, not nowhere near as loudly as Jace had – my voice was just above a whisper. But Jace heard me, he heard me and looked like he had won in the lottery. Kind of he had, I mean look at me. Jace's cockyness had obviously started to rub off on me.
Jace and I just stared at each other for a very long time, lost in each other's eyes. He smiled at me with his best smile and gently rubbed my hands with his thumbs.
Suddenly I was pulled out of our own world by Alec who walked to us and gave the rings to the priest before smirking at me and walking back to his place behind Jace's back. Jace hadn't removed his eyes from me and I was afraid to look again – I knew I wouldn't be able to tear my eyes off of him again. The priest gave Jace my ring and that way forced Jace to focus again. I smirked at Jace's face, it was like he had woken up from a nap and did exactly know where he was.
"Jonathan, please repeat after me." The priest said and looked at Jace to make sure he was following. Jace nodded but didn't move his eyes from mine. I felt him remove his hands from mine and grab my left one.
" On this day," Jace said after the holy man in front of us. "I marry my best friend. The one who shares my life, my love and my dreams." He was already struggling to keep his voice even and calm. I could feel my own eyes beginning to water as I watched Jace trying not to cry.
"Clary, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and devotion. I offer you my heart, my hand, and my love. I join my life with yours, to cherish and to protect you as my wife with all that I am, with all that I have. I honor you as my wife forevermore. " He said and one single tear drop fell down on his cheek as he slipped the ring easily onto my finger and kissed it lightly. I wiped my own tears away and focused on his warm and soft hand on mine.
It was my turn to repeat after the priest. We had agreed to say different ring vows, just 'cause we could.
"Clarissa, please repeat after me." I nodded and glanced at the priest. He was about 50-year-old and a little overweight. The poor man had really bad hair – it had already escaped far away from his forehead.
"Jace, I give you this ring, as a symbol of my love." I paused for a moment to really look at Jace. He was watching me with those golden eyes, a big smile on his lips. I continued to repeat after the priest.
"You were my yesterday, you are my today, you will be my tomorrow. All that I am I give to you. I ask you to wear it as a sign to the world that you are my husband." I heard the priest announce us as a husband and wife, tell Jace that it was okay to kiss me. Jace didn't waste any time, he lifted his hands to cup my face gently and for a few seconds just stared at me, gently stroking my cheeks with his thumbs. Then, ever so slowly, he brought his face down and prsessed his lips against mine. I felt him smile against my lips widely as he deepened the kiss a bit. Few seconds later we were brought back into the reality by Isabelle who cleared her throat and smirked at me as I turned to glare at her.
Sighing, I took back my bouquet from her and turned to face the priest again. I couldn't focus on his words, all of my attention was in Jace's hand that held tightly my right one. His thumb drew small circles on my skin. I could feel the power rushing in my veins – I felt like nothing in this world could bring me down from my cloud nine.
JACE POV
God she looks gorgeous. She always does but this is something else. I thought to myself as I tried to listen what the priest was saying. Soon enough we were allowed to turn around and stand still for a while – so the audience, our friends and family, had time to took pictures. I leaned down and pressed my lips onto Clary's temple and I tightly squeezed her to my side.
As the music started to play again, we walked down the aisle, hand in hand, and went to wait for our family and friends to get out. Isabelle and Alec came with us, after making sure Magnus and Will knew where to guide the people.
"Oh my gosh, that was so beautiful!" Isabelle was still drying her eyes. "I'm so glad you wanted to record that, Jace."
I had hired some guys to record all of this wedding – I wanted to remember every minute of it for the rest of my life. I hugged my adoptive sister tightly as I whispered into her ear:
"Thank you." Before she could ask, I continued "For everything."
Isabelle smiled and nodded without saying anything. Alec gave me a tight hug as well before leaning down and lifting Clary up, spinning her around. Clary wrapped her arms tightly around her new brother-in-law and giggled like a three-year-old.
"Welcome into the Lightwood-Herondale family!" He laughed as he put her down again. Then, he paused for a second and looked at my wife smiling.
"What?" Clary asked, glancing at me quickly over her shoulder. I shrugged.
"Nothing, just so happy that Jace found you. You brought him back into my life."
Clary blushed and walked to me, wrapping her arm around my waist. Few minutes later Magnus opened the door and said all of our guests were ready and waiting for us. Izzy and Alec left the room, leaving just the two of us standing in the middle of the room, and one of the guys with the camera trying blend into the wall. We stared at each other, my arms tightly around Clary's waist and her arms loosely around my neck.
"Mrs. Clary Herondale." I whispered and broke into a huge smile. "That sounds amazing."
"I could get used to that." Clary smiled. "I love you, you know that right?"
"I do, and I love you too." I whispered and leaned down to kiss her. Our lips barely touched before the door bursted open again, Isabelle standing behind it hand on her hip. She tried to look mad, but her eyes gave her away.
"Oh come on, you have the rest of your lives to kiss each other, tonight there are about two hundred guests that you have to face and talk with, so come on." She dragged us out of the small room and pushed out of the front door of the church.
She was right, there was nearly 200 people standing and cheering for us. I took Clary's hand tightly into my and planned not to let go anytime soon. I ducked my head as people started to throw rice on us. I quickly pulled Clary to the car that was waiting for us, helping her in before running around the car to the other side and dived in. Isabelle had rented a huge limousine for us, not caring about our opinions. I personally thought it was just waste of money – I didn't care where I was or what kind of car I was in, as long as I had Clary with me. It was strange to be alone with her – usually we had at least Vivia with us, most of the time all of the girls. Clary's parents, along my parents, had promised to look after our children this weekend, offering us the luxury of having some alone time.
I turned in my seat to face Clary, to actually look at her. She had looked so beautiful, walking down the aisle. But now she looked even more beautiful. Her face was flushed a bit, giving colour to her pale cheeks, her green eyes full of emotions. Her red hair was still on point, just like it was earlier, few curls hanging around her face. And her body. One word. Wow. The dress Magnus had designed for her, fit her perfectly, of course it did. Magnus was very good at what he did.
Clary blushed under my gaze and looked down at her hands on her lap. She played with the flowers she was holding while I took her in, all of her. In less than a minute she lifted her head and locked her eyes with mine.
"What?" She whispered. I just shook my head and continued to stare her. I knew she didn't like people staring her but she'd have to get used to it.
"Nothing. Just admiring my gorgeous wife, that's all. Man can do that, right?" I smirked and arched my other eye brow.
"Sure, sure." She mumbled and turned to look out the window. We were in the middle of forest, at least it looked like it. The sun was setting, making the sky look amazing. I knew this was Clary's favourite time of the day – I made a note to myself to thank Isabelle for scheduling everything. I reached for Clary's hand and moved it onto my lap. She turned to look at me and smiled my favourite smile. I could've just stared her the whole night and the next day, and the next one, never getting tired of her beautiful smile.
"I love you." I said simply. She squeezed my hands with her small one and leaned forward to kiss my lips. I cupped her cheek with my other hand, stroking her cheek with my thumb, feeling her smooth skin under my fingers. It was just a light kiss, nothing too passionate, just a light touch of our lips but it was enough to make my lips and my whole body tingle.
"I love you too." She whispered against my lips and rubbed her nose against mine. If we were doing that in public, I was sure people would've looked at us funnily. I would've looked at us funnily, but I couldn't care less. I laughed as I leaned my forehead against hers and kissed her nose.
Finally we arrived to the place where the wedding party was. Isabelle had once again exceeded all expectations – the place was incredible and I knew without looking at Clary that she loved it, even I loved it. The building was a huge white mansion, the ocean shimmering behind it and the perfectly cutted trees lighted up with small lanterns. The car stopped and the driver opened first my door and bowed as I climbed out of the car. I walked around the car and opened Clary's door and helped her out. Our friends and family, all of our guests were waiting for us and cheered loudly as Clary and I walked past them. I caught Isabelle and Alec's gazes and they smiled widely at me and I mouthed quick thank you's to them. They nodded and started to guide people into the huge mansion to get the party started.
Izzy, Alec and Magnus made sure the guests were having fun with all the activities they had planned. There had been all the traditional things, like cutting the cake, Clary throwing her bouquet and finally it was time for my favourite, I got to throw Clary's garter.
Isabelle pushed Clary down onto a chair in the middle of the dancefloor and held up a silk robe to tie my hands behind my back. I shook off the tuxedo jacket before putting my hands behind my back. Isabelle tied them together and made sure we knew the rules. I barely listened to her, my focus mainly on Clary's blushed face. I smirked at her and winked before glancing at Isabelle. She gave me the go ahead-nod and I dived under Clary's dress. I thanked Magnus at least for the 100th time for making the dress so puffy and big – I didn't need everyone notice what I was doing. I kissed Clary's bare legs under the hem of the dress and I could only imagine what her expression was. I grazed my teeth against her upper tigh and moved up a bit so I could kiss her most sensitive part of her body and finally I took the garter between my teeth and pulled out from the hem.
I smiled sweetly at Clarys red face and kissed the back of her hand once Isabelle freed my look on her face would give me so many satisfactions, not in that way, it was just so priceless. She looked like she should've known I would do that but she didn't even think I really had balls enough to do it. Isabelle looked at me with a disbelieved look on her face and I knew she knew exactly what just happened. And nothing actually happened, they were all just over reacting like usually. I just worshiped my wife's gorgeous legs and continued the divine game of teasing she actually started a long time ago.
I looked at Alec and he was laughing his ass off with Magnus. The other guests hadn't hopefully noticed anything abnormal. I turned my back to the waiting guys and threw the white lace garter. I turned quickly around to see who caught it – it was Will. I whooped and raised my fist and smirked knowingly at him as he raised the garter in the air and cheered. I searched for Tessa in the crowd and saw her looking at her boyfriend with blushed face.
I helped Clary up and drew her closer to give a kiss onto her lips. She wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned against me to deepen the kiss. I could've stood there the whole night and just kiss her endlessly but we had nearly 200 guests to entertain so I had to pull away, no matter how much it hurt. I turned us so we were facing the crowd, my arm firmly around Clary's waist.
"And now, ladies and gentlemen, Mr and Mrs Herondale will have their first dance as a husband and a wife." Isabelle said into the microphone and Clary wrapped her arms around my neck and looked me in the eyes. I sneaked my arms around her waist and leaned down to kiss her lips quickly. I should've known by then that our "quick kisses" were never exactly quick.
Matt Bomer's version of Bryan Adams' Heaven started to play and I looked questionly at Clary in my arms. I knew she and Isabelle had gone to see the new Magic Mike movie, but I did not know it had this kind of efect on her. She chose this to be our wedding song?! I was 100 % sure Isabelle had her head messed up. Clary grinned up at me and stood on her tip-toes and kissed me as we swayed slowly from side to side. I chuckled against her lips and pulled away a bit to look at her.
"Really? Magic Mike?" I asked amused.
"Yes, Jace, really. Have you seen the movie? Oh you gotta see it! No, I have better idea! Oh, yes! You're gonna learn to dance like Channing Tatum! Please, Jace, I'll do anything if you dance for me like that." She babbled and I couldn't do anything but laugh at her. But then I realized that she was serious.
"Are you serious? You want me to give you a lap dance?" I whispered into her ear. She nodded and I smirked against her skin. She didn't know what she was asking for. I may not be the best in tango or waltz but I do have some serious dirty dancing moves. She just didn't know that.
"Anything for you, my love. I'll remember that sentence later tonight." I whispered, my voice husky and low. She pulled back and looked at me with a question in her eyes. "'I'll do anything if you dance for me like that.'" I quoted her.
"Tonight? You know how to dance like that?" She whispered, her eyes widened. I nodded and kissed hef forehead lightly before hugging her close to my body. I had great plans for the night, but at that moment all I wanted to do was dance with her. She leaned her head against my chest and wrapped her hands around my torso. I sang the song into her ear quietly as we moved slowly on the dancefloor.
"And baby, you're all that I want
When you're lyin' here in my arms
I'm findin' it hard to believe
We're in heaven"
The song finally ended and we pulled apart. I kissed her one last time before a stepped back and looked at our friends and family. My mom was waving at us, pointing at our children who stood on the edge of the dancefloor.
I took Clary's hand and pulled her with me to get the girls. I scooped Vivia up and took Lex's hand while Clary pulled Jennifer and Valerie to dance with us. We wrapped our arms around each other the best way we could – Valerie and Alexandra put their arms around my legs, my other hand was carrying Vivi and the other was around Valerie's shoulder and I pulled her against me. Clary had her arms wrapped around Alexandra and Jennifer's shoulders and Lex had her arm around Valerie. We were a tight mess, but it was my tight mess. We moved a bit awkwardly from side to side but it was obvious the bigger girls enjoyed it very much, even our little Vivia was laughing and smiling at her family looking funny. I looked up from the girls and met Clary's eyes. She smiled the most beautiful smile in the whole world, it was my smile, and mouthed I love you so much. I could feel my eyes beginning to water as I mouthed I love you too back to her.
I tightened my hold on Vivia, kissed her chubby cheek and promised myself to never forget the feeling I was feeling. It would help me get through even the darkest times in life, it would help me remember where and to whom I belong. I belong right here, with all of our friends and family around us, to my own little family that I loved more than I could ever imagine. I belonged to the woman who taught me again what love is, to the woman who showed me it was possible to love somebody else after your was broken, to the woman who made me believe in love again. And to the woman who made me fall in love again and who healed my broken heart.
I belonged to Clary.
Okay people, that was it! The last chapter... I can't believe it took me two freaking years to get this done. I'm sorry for that..! But I did get it done, and I have to admit that I'm pretty happy how it all turned out. I didn't have a glue how exactly this was going to end as I started it two years ago!
I will write an epilogue! But I don't know when.. :/ I promise it won't take other two years, haha! But please, tell me what you think, did I do good job? Was it okay? Tell me your thoughts!
And lastly, I want to thank every one of you for reading, favouriting, following and reviewing this story, it means a lot to me! I love you and I will see you one more time hopefully soon,
