Chapter 8

Klaus dropped the glass on the floor with a thud as he stared down at the women in front of him. The smile was vanished from his face, he kept looking at her in shock, the deep blue eyes that haunted him were now staring fearfully at him, the pink lips that he dreamt about were quivering. Her golden hair that he dreamt about brushing his fingers through over and over again were all covered in a hat. The girl he always dreamt about, the girl he always thought he could never see, the girl who made him crazy day and night, the same girl he was sketching these past two days was now in front of him.

"Caroline." he whispered.

Caroline looked at him tears starting to form in her eyes, she started taking a few steps back as she shook her head in denial, he isn't here, please let this be a dream, please wake me up. Caroline closed her eyes in fear hoping that when she would open them he won't be here, she started praying to god to let this be just a dream, because she didn't know what she will do if he was indeed real. She never wanted him to know about her, about her children, she never wanted Klaus to be a part of their family whom he abandoned without even a second thought. A part of her started feeling afraid thinking about Klaus knowing about his kids, thinking about what he might do, what if he takes them away from me? No no, Caroline said in her mind as she turned with Rumi in her arms, she wanted nothing but to run as far away from here, she didn't even want to make sure whether she really saw Klaus or if it was just a dream but for Caroline even dreaming about Klaus was also a nightmare, Caroline was about to run but Rumi interrupted her.

"Mommy say hi to my friend please." Rumi said jumping in Caroline's arms as she pointed towards Klaus from over Caroline's shoulder. Caroline stood there still, it was like her feet were being frozen to the ground making it impossible for her to run. Caroline's eyes widened in fear as she heard the words that escaped from Rumi's mouth, hi to my friend. Rumi's words got stuck in her mind making it impossible for her to think. Friends? How? When? What? Caroline couldn't help but think about what really happened in the days while she was out of town. She hated the fact that Katherine and Stefan still haven't told her about it, a part of her hoped that they didn't know because she didn't want to be hurt or feel betrayed by them.

Klaus kept staring at Caroline watching how her eyes got wider as their eyes locked, he saw her taking a few steps back shaking her head. As if she was in denial, Klaus kept looking at the girl who made him fall in love with her even when he didn't want to, he kept looking at the girl who made him weak, he kept looking at the same girl who he said I love you too and actually meant it, he just kept looking at the same girl he told years ago to abort his kids, and now the same girl he loves was standing in front of him with tears in her eyes and carrying the child in her arms which he thought never existed.

Klaus stood there still, the only thing he could see was Caroline and Rumi, it felt like the whole grill had disappeared somewhere leaving them alone, a part of him actually wanted this to be a dream, a dream where he saw Caroline with his kids, but watching this scene happening in front of him was like a nightmare, was like a monster who he is afraid off is trying to kill him. He still couldn't believe the fact that Caroline was actually here, she was actually here in this small freaking town, all the years he thought that she might have moved out of town to achieve something she deserves like he did, wanting to be something different, all the years he thought she might be living in some other country with the perfect life she'd always wanted, living with a perfect boyfriend who will love her, even a part of him thought that she might be married to a guy, wait, what if she is married? So these kids aren't mine? He thought as he looked at them, he always thought about Caroline enjoying her life like she always wanted too, but a part of him didn't want to see her with another man who wasn't him. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Caroline turning as if she was about to run away but stopped when Rumi's voice interrupted them.

"Mommy say hi to my friend please." Rumi said as she jumped in Caroline's arms. Klaus saw Rumi turn her head to look at him over Caroline's shoulder as she gave him her biggest wide grin. Caroline slowly turned but her eyes were locked on Rumi's face as if she was afraid to look at Klaus. Klaus could see tears that were ready to fall from Caroline's eyes but she wiped them away before Rumi could notice.

"Mommy, you know Klaus took me for a walk when Aunt Bekah was not at home." Rumi said giving her mother a side glare as she waved her hand for Klaus. Rumi kept on rambling about every moment she shared with Klaus making Caroline more angry and hurt. Caroline's eyes widened as she heard what Rumi said, she still couldn't believe that her kids were left alone with the person who happens to be their father, she couldn't believe how Bekah, Kol or even Elijah could hide something like this from her, especially after everything she had been through, she still couldn't believe that the people who she trusted, the same people whom she thought were loyal and honest towards her now are the one betraying her with lies. Caroline looked at her daughter who was smiling widely at the person who was standing in front of them with a dead expression, the same person who actually is the reason why Rumi cries at night because she wants her father. Caroline couldn't even look at the person who he had become or who he had kept hiding in himself when they were dating. Caroline was about to interrupt Rumi but Rumi hugged her making her a bit surprised.

"Klaus when I told you I'm beautiful like my mom, I was right, right?" Rumi asked innocently as she hugged Caroline before kissing her cheeks, "My momma is beautiful." Rumi said resting her cheek against Caroline's cheek squeezing her in her tiny arms. Rumi looked at Klaus.

"Say na Klaus, she is beautiful right?" Rumi asked again, Caroline was about to snap at her but Klaus's voice surprisingly stopped her.

"Yes, she is beautiful." His voice come out like a whisper making her look at him for the first time in this entire interaction, she could see that he was being honest but a part of her was not sure how to trust the person who was standing in front of her because she had been fooled by this same person for years.

"Let's go Rumi." Caroline said wrapping her arms around Rumi safely as she turned, she could hear Rumi protesting but Caroline ignored her and kept on walking towards the door. Before she could reach through the door she felt a hand on her arm turning her forcibly, she and Rumi yelled in surprise and in shock as they looked at the person who stopped her.

Klaus held her arm tightly turning her around to look at him, he could see fear starting to appear in her eyes. Caroline yelped in pain as she started fighting in his hold, she started flinching at his touch.

"Klaus you are hurting my momma." Rumi said trying to push Klaus away from Caroline. Klaus's eyes turned towards Rumi as his eyes softened a bit, he could see Rumi's pleading eyes looking at him, Klaus looked at Caroline then at his hand that was resting on her arm, his hold loosened a bit but he didn't dare lift it.

"You can't walk away." Klaus hissed at her softly not wanting Rumi to be scared of him. Caroline was about to say something but was interrupted when she felt someone pushing Klaus away from her by holding his collar. Klaus was being harshly pushed away from her by Stefan as he came to stand in front of Caroline. Katherine who was following him immediately stood besides Caroline wrapping her arms around her safely.

"Klaus." Stefan said clenching his jaw in anger as he stared down at the person who he wanted to kill or even thought about killing for these four years.

"Stefan." Klaus said brushing his t-shirt as he stood confidently, "It that how you greet your old friend?" Klaus asked raising his eyebrow at Stefan as he slowly started making his way toward them. Klaus stood in front of them making Caroline and Katherine's breath flinch in fear, but Klaus shocked them by tapping his hand on Stefan's shoulder as a evil grin started appearing on his lips.

"Good to see you Stefan." Klaus said smirking at Stefan, but his smirk vanished when Stefan brushed his hand off his shoulder pushing Klaus back harshly.

"As far as I can say, you and I aren't really friends. At least that's what I prefer." Stefan replied grumpily.

"Oh come on mate, you know that we used to be like brothers." Klaus said looking at Stefan with his chin high. Stefan shook his head in laughter.

"Used to be like brothers Klaus," Stefan said, "a lot has changed in these four years." Stefan added making Klaus look at him in hurt.

"So just because I hurt Car-" Klaus started.

"I think we should leave." Caroline snapped interrupting them for the first time, covering Rumi's ears so that she wouldn't hear what Klaus was about to say. Katherine made a hmm sound giving Klaus a glare before she went to the opposite side of the grill and came back with Nick in her arms who had a batman toy in his hand. Stefan and Klaus keep staring at each other both of them not even saying a word. Caroline saw Katherine whisper something in his ears which made him look at the direction Caroline was standing. She saw how his lips started forming a smile as he saw her, Nick jumped from Katherine's arms running towards Caroline while pushing Stefan and Klaus who were in the way.

"Mommmaaaaa." He sang wrapping his arms around Caroline thighs, "You're really here?" He raised his head to look at Caroline who had tears in her eyes. Caroline nodded smiling widely at him. Rumi let out a giggle but soon covered her mouth to stop herself from giggling when she saw everyone giving her a confused glare.

"Of course she is here Nick, or else you really thought I was flying in the air?" Rumi giggled pointing her fingers at Nick in laughter. Nick pulled her leg making her yell as she held on to Caroline's neck tightly.

"Momma tell her to shut up." Nick argued wrapping his arms around Caroline innocently.

Klaus stood there watching Caroline and the two kids who he wasn't even sure whether they were his were now talking like a family, he could see how happy Nick was, Klaus was not sure whether he had seen Nick smile so brightly in the few days they had met, in fact he used to be a lot grumpy about things making Klaus feel like how much alike their behaviour was. Klaus didn't know what to say or how to react right now, a part of him wanted to fight with Caroline asking her everything that was currently on his mind, wanting to know whether these kids were his but a part of him wanted to hug her wanted to tell her how much he had missed her. He wanted to interrupt Caroline now and then, wanted to know everything about these kids and learn the truth but he couldn't interrupt especially when all he could see was Caroline smiling in tears because of these kids, he saw Nick jumping up and down while he pouted making sad faces to convince Caroline to pick him up in her arms while Rumi teased him saying Momma loves me more. Caroline finally picked Nick up in her arms with Katherine's help while Nick started kissing her cheeks immediately in happiness. Klaus's lips started forming a smile when he saw how Rumi too started kissing Caroline cheeks just to make competition with her brother, he remembered when there was a time when Kol and Rebekah used to do the same with him.

"Come on lets go home." Stefan announced giving Klaus a glare as he picked Nick from Caroline arms making him pout.

"Yes lets go, it started getting too crowded," Katherine taunted Klaus a little, "and too smelly." Katherine said making a disgusted face, Rumi and Nick copying Katherine's expression making Klaus growl in anger.

"No, I need to talk to Caroline." Klaus interrupted as he took a few steps to stand in front of her, "Now and alone." he said locking his eyes with Caroline.

Caroline felt like she was compelled by him, she felt herself being forced by him. She wanted to yell at him saying that she isn't his servant to listen to him, wanting to yell that she isn't the same girl he left four years ago. Caroline wanted to run away from him but she couldn't because she wasn't a runner, she wasn't the same Caroline who hid in the corner crying, she wanted to tell him, wanted to make him see how strong she has become.

"Like hell are we are going to leave you two alone." Katherine laughed holding Caroline's arms to make her move but Caroline stood still making Katherine's laughter die in shock at her actions

"You will." Caroline replied looking at Klaus, "You guys will leave us alone, only us." She added looking at Klaus without fear. Katherine was about to protest but Stefan silenced her by keeping his hand on her shoulder. Rumi kept looking between Klaus and Caroline not really understanding what was happening, but Nick knew everything he could see his mothers face, there were tears in her eyes but yet she stood confidently, it was now that Nick realized that the actual reason for his mothers tears before were not seeing him but seeing his father back. Nick was still not sure whether Klaus was his father or not but he could only guess after everyone's reaction that Klaus indeed might be his father.

"Rumi and Nick, you kids go with Aunt Katty and Uncle Stefan." Caroline said placing Rumi in Katherine's arms, she kissed Rumi on the forehead, "Go home, I'll be back soon, I love you." She whispered brushing her hair softly. She moved towards Nick placing a soft kiss on his forehead, "Take care of your sister until I get back," Caroline said smiling a bit, "and don't start fighting." Caroline warned for which Nick just rolled his eyes at her. Stefan kept his hand on Caroline's shoulder making her look at him.

"If you want I'll wait here with you, you don't have to be alone with him Caroline." Stefan whispered squeezing Caroline's shoulder in comfort but she just shook her head.

"No Stef it's fine, I will be okay," Caroline argued keeping her hand on his as she squeezed it a bit, "just take care of the kids while I handle this." She added glaring at Nick who was looking at her curiously.

"It's adult talk Nick, don't even think about asking about it to Uncle Stefan or Katherine, do you understand me?" Caroline said seriously pointing her finger at him in warning.

"Why would I do such a thing?" Nick asked innocently keeping his head on Stefan's shoulder.

"Because momma knows you like being Shershock." Rumi said laughing at Nick.

"It's Sherlock." Nick scoffed at her. Rumi looked at Katherine narrowing her eyes.

"I said the same." Rumi said looking at Katherine in confusion for which Katherine just nodded whispering to her that she was right. Stefan shook his head at them in laughter but his smile couldn't last more when he looked at Caroline who was hiding her fear in her smile. Caroline looked at Stefan smiling at him telling him silently to go she will be okay. Stefan nodded before giving a nod to Katherine and a warning glare to Klaus who actually was standing without saying a word but watching everything silently.

"You can call us if its gets any- you know what I'm saying right?" Katherine whispered hugging Caroline. Rumi also hugged Caroline simultaneously. Rumi looked at Klaus who was looking at Caroline, Rumi jumped from Katherine's arms making her way towards Klaus before Caroline or Katherine could stop her.

"Bye Klaus." She whispered hugging his thighs, interrupting his thoughts.

Klaus looked down and saw Rumi hugging his thighs with a sweet smile on her face. She opened her arms telling Klaus silently to pick her up in his arms. Klaus stood confused not really liking the fact that Rumi was asking him to pick her up especially when he was not sure whether she was related to him or not. It kinda made him in uncomfortable thinking about Rumi as her daughter

Klaus picked her up in hesitation but before anyone could guess Rumi kissed his cheeks hugging him tightly making everyone as well as Klaus shocked at her closeness, but what came next from her mouth shocked him more.

"Please don't hurt my momma." She whispered in his ear for which he was sure others couldn't hear her, he backed away a little to look at her, his heart flinched a bit when he saw there were tears forming in her eyes. Klaus could only guess that he was the reason she was crying, the way he handled Caroline a few minutes ago in front of Rumi was the reason she was afraid that he might hurt her mother. Klaus didn't know how to react in front of a four year old girl who was afraid that he might hurt her mother, the same girl who in fact was the only person who believed in him even when she was not even mature enough to think straight. When Klaus looked into her eyes the only thing he could see was fear for her mother, she wasn't the same girl who hugged him or called him her best friend, she is now a tiny little girl who is afraid for her mother. It was very painful for Klaus to look at Rumi's eyes when all he could see was fear, a part of him was sure that he wouldn't hurt Caroline like the way Rumi might be thinking, but a part of him was sure that he might not hurt Caroline physically but he might hurt her with his words, because that's what he is best at hurting people who get close to him. Klaus brushed Rumi's hair softly.

"I won't." He whispered smiling at her, but she didn't smile in fact she raised her pinky finger.

"Promise?" She asked lifting her pinky finger near his face, before Klaus could stop himself he placed a soft kiss on her finger before interlocking his pinky finger with hers.

"Promise." He swore, his lips started forming a smile as he saw Rumi smiling at him.

"Thank you." She whispered giving him a last hug. Klaus put her on the ground and watched her running toward Katherine who immediately picked her up in her arms. He saw Caroline looking at him deadly as she crossed her arms in anger. It was Stefan who broke her glare with a hug and whispered something in her ears making Klaus curious. Katherine gave a nod to Caroline before leaving with Rumi in her arms, Rumi kept waving bye to Klaus and Caroline until they disappeared through the exit. Stefan soon followed her but not without giving a death glare to Klaus which made his eyes roll in irritation but what irritated him more was Nick giving him a narrow death glare look from Stefan's shoulder until they went through the exit. What the hell is this little guy problem?

Caroline waited until Stefan and Katherine were out of the grill, as soon as they disappeared she turned to look at Klaus who was looking at the way Stefan went, without even thinking for a second she held his collar in anger and pulled him forcefully towards the backside of the grill ignoring everyone's glare that went towards them. She heard Klaus snarl at her in anger but she kept on ignoring him until they reached a place where there was no one to see them. As soon as they stopped Klaus held her wrist in anger and brushed her hand away from his collar making her tremble.

"Just because I didn't say anything doesn't mean you're allowed to touch me in such a manner." He hissed squeezing her wrist in anger. Caroline wanted to scream in pain but she held her ground as she didn't want to be weak, especially in front of Klaus. Caroline tried to free herself from his grip but it was of no use he was way too strong for her.

"You deserve every shit thing I say and do to you." Caroline hissed at him making him a little shocked at her bluntness because he had never seen Caroline talking to anyone but in fact him in such a manner, it was shocking yet surprising for him to see her act in such a way.

"I didn't stay here to talk to you, because believe me I'm not even interested in seeing your fucking face." Caroline snapped.

"Ohh really?" Klaus raised his eyebrow pulling her close to him by her wrist, "Then why are you here standing in front of me instead of being with Stefan and Katherine huh?" Klaus asked pulling her closer watching how her eyes got a little softer at their closeness.

"You can try as much as you want to be strong Caroline," He whispered softly moving his hand to remove the blonde lock of hair that covered her cheeks making her shiver at his touch, "But you can't, especially in front of me." He added caressing her cheeks slightly. Caroline looked up at him her eyes getting locked with his. She knew whatever he was saying was the truth but she didn't want him to believe it, she wanted to prove him wrong. Caroline pushed him with every power she had making him tremble.

"Stay the hell away from me." Caroline yelled, "I'm not the same weak girl who was with you four years ago Klaus." She added hissing at him to make him understand.

"And the only reason I stayed here to talk to you was because I wanted to tell you TO STAY AWAY FROM MY KIDS." She said pointing her finger at him in anger, she turned to leave not wanting to see Klaus anymore.

"Are those kids mine?" He asked his voice coming out a little bit louder, he stood there watching Caroline who stopped walking at his question. It felt like the time was stopped, the cold wind stopped passing them, all they could hear was birds sounds and dogs barks but other than that It was all silent.

"No." He heard her say as she started walking again.

"You're lying!" He yelled making her stop again. Klaus ran after her until he stopped to stand in front of her, "You're lying to me, from what I heard from Rebekah those kids are four years old Caroline," he said, "and from what I remember I left you exactly four year ago." He added making Caroline look at him when he mentioned about leaving moved to leave again but this time Klaus didn't let her, he grabbed her shoulder making her stop.

"Stop running and answer the freaking damn question." He yelled making her flinch in fear.

"Yes!" She yelled.

"What?" He whispered softly looking in her eyes checking to see if she was lying.

"I said yes!" She yelled again trying to remove herself from his grip. "Yes they are your kids Klaus, that's what I said, that's what you wanted to hear right?" She asked pushing him by his chest. Instead of fighting with her back he stood there motionless.

"No." He whispered

"What?" This time Caroline asked him.

"I didn't expect you to say yes, I thought ..I.. I thought you would prove me wrong," he said shaking his head in denial, "I was so confident that you would prove me wrong, saying that they aren't mine or you would say that you adopted them or something like that." Klaus whispered looking at her dumbfounded, "I thought all these years that you aborted the kids, I thought I..I thought these kids were just adopted." He whispered in fear his voice starting to crack a bit.

"I didn't expect to hear that these kids were mine." He added making Caroline look at him.

"I told you to abort them Caroline!" He yelled as he finally came to his senses, "I told you to abort them, you should have done that." He yelled grabbing her shoulder in anger.

"You should have told me you didn't abort them, they are my children Caroline I had every right to know about them." he yelled squeezing her shoulder in anger.

"You lost every right you had on me a long time back Klaus." she whispered softly as silent tears fell down her cheeks making Klaus look at her in hurt, "You left me, you left us without even saying a word, you just left a freaking package of money telling me to abort the kids." She whispered looking directly at him with so much hatred and pain.

"I thought I was different to you, I thought I was special," she whispered clenching his collar in her fist, "I thought you loved me." She cried clenching his shirt a little tighter looking into his eyes.

"I loved you with everything I had, I gave you everything, I was ready to spend my whole life with you, just you and me in our world." She cried falling down on her knees, tears started falling down her cheeks rapidly. She didn't know what came over her but she couldn't help but remove all the pain she felt when he left her all alone in the hospital.

"I loved you so much, you were everything to me Klaus." She added holding her head as if it was ready to explode with all these emotions.

Klaus kept looking at the girl who was kneeling down holding her head as she cried, letting out all of the emotions she'd hid for these four years. She wasn't the same brave girl who pulled him out of the grill harshly, she wasn't the same girl who pushed him or yelled at him minutes ago, she was now just looking like a broken girl who looked like she had lost everything she had. Klaus may hate that Caroline hid the fact that she didn't abort the kids but that doesn't mean that he loved watching her cry, because he can't, no matter how many times he tried to hide the fact that he doesn't care for her somehow he did, a part of him always broke when he thought about how broken she looked when he told her four years ago that he didn't love her and it was all a lie. He still remembered her eyes looking at him with betrayal and pain when he told her that it was all for a bet, their relationship was all about a bet. The only day Klaus actually felt like tears were forming in his eyes was when he picked up Caroline in his arms four years ago as she fainted with truth that she was faced with, he remembered the feeling he felt when he picked up her body in his arms as he drove to the hospital. He still remembered how panicked and scared he felt when the doctor told him that Caroline was pregnant. Klaus may not show how much he missed Caroline, he may act like he doesn't care but he does. Klaus kneeled down in front of Caroline as he slowly held both of her wrists pushing them away from her face.

"Caroline." He whispered slowly wiping away the tears that were ruining her beautiful face. Caroline shook her head slowly trying to back away from his touch but he didn't let her. Klaus cupped her face in his palms as he slowly rest his forehead on hers hearing her sobbing at every breath she took.

"Please don't cry." He whispered shaking his head a little, instead of helping it made matters worse because Caroline started letting out more sobs at his caring voice.

"You promised me that you will never leave me, that you will always be here besides me," she sobbed, "but you broke your promise." She sobbed keeping her hands on his that were holding her face, "You left me. You left me all alone Nik." She sobbed even more making Klaus hate himself more. Klaus was sure he felt his heartbeat skip when he heard her call him Nik again, the small word that he actually always wanted to hear in these four years.

"I.." She started saying but she stopped when she finally started coming to her senses, she opened her eyes looking at Klaus and then realization hit her pretty hard as she started remembering what he did to her four years back, he was the reason her kids were without a father, she backed away pushing him away from her as she broke their close proximity.

"I don't know why you're here again but its better if you stay away from me and my family Mr Mikaelson." She said as she slowly started taking steps away from him. Klaus felt like dying when he heard her saying his last name as if he was completely a stranger to her.

"Rumi may consider you her friend but I won't allow her to consider you more than that," she said, "I know my daughter and from what I have seen of her with you I can say that she likes you." She added.

Klaus opened his mouth to say something but Caroline raised her hands making him stop.

"I'm not like her father, taking away peoples happiness because I didn't like it." Caroline taunted, "If she is happy being friends with you I'll allow her to, only because I want my daughter to be happy." She said crossing her arms over chest as she looked at him with seriousness, "But if you ever again say one word about you being her father, I swear to god you won't even remember how your face looked like." She snapped in anger making him a little scared of her protective mother nature.

"So what now? You will hide from your kids the fact that I'm their father?" He asked making Caroline scoff.

"Father, who?" She asked raising her eyebrow "You? Do you even know when they were born? Do you even know which word they said first? Do you even know which one of them started walking first? No right?" She asked watching how he kept looking at her, getting lost at her questions.

"No right?" she laughed sarcastically

"Of course you can't because unlike some fathers who are with their kids, you weren't ,you left them when they weren't even born" She scoffed.

"I'm the only mother and father figure for them." She said, "Their father died the day he walked out on them." She said watching how his eyes got widen in hurt at her words "When he walked out on me." She added softly finally letting her guard down yet again. Caroline turned to leave but stopped to look back at Klaus.

"You were right," she said making him look at her in confusion, "I'm still a little weak girl when it comes to you, I may act like I'm strong but I'm not." She said smiling sadly at herself.

"but I'm trying to be" she said crossing her arms over her chest as she raised her chin high in confident "I'm trying not to be the same girl again Klaus." She said, "Not for me but for my children because I'm the only one they have, and they are the only one who I have."

"I can't be weak so that people like you will walk out of my life," she said, "I let that happen once but I won't let that happen twice, not with me nor with my children." She added, "I'm not that weak girl anymore who was lost without you, that girl died in the hospital the same day you left her there all alone." Klaus heard her say as he watched a silent tear fell down her cheeks before she ran into the darkness of the night leaving Klaus all alone in his thoughts.

"Do you think they would be fine..?"Katherine asked as soon as they made their way inside the house. Stefan and Katherine placed Rumi and Nick on the ground watching them running upstairs to play

"I don't know Katherine "Stefan said shrugging his shoulder keeping the car keys on the table as he made his way inside the kitchen . Katherine followed him inside the kitchen

"What do you mean I don't know" Katherine argued following him around.. Stefan opened the fridge pulling out the bottle of the cold water he was about to drink when Katherine snatched it away from him

"Stefan Salvatore just answered my question" Katherine ordered making stefan growl in irritation

"What you want me to say..? I don't know what's happening okay..?" Stefan argued as he clashed himself on the sofa resting his back of the head on the arm of the sofa, he sign in frustration as he rubbed his temple "I don't know what happening but I can only promise you that Caroline can take care of herself, she is strong now" Stefan answered watching how Katherine eyes got soften at his statement she nodded before sitting on the sofa

"Now if you don't mind will you please pass me that bottle..?"Stefan asked holding his hand out for bottle, Katherine rolled her eyes instead of passing him the bottle she throw it on his chest making him yelp in shock

"What..?" he asked raising his hands in questioning but Katherine just waved him off

"Don't take it personally I just felt like hitting someone, Klaus wasn't here but you are" Katherine shrugged her shoulder

"are you serious..?" he raised his eyebrow giving her a broody look.. Katherine turned her head towards him giving him a wide tight smile with a nod.. Stefan looked at her for minutes before giving her a silent nod as he sat..

"Well it's all right I understand" Stefan said patting her knee "Even I feel like throwing water at Klaus but Klaus isn't here" Stefan said slowly opening the tab of the bottle. Katherine hummed at his response with a knowing nod but soon her eyes got widen as she slowly gave Stefan a side glare "but you are here right..?" Stefan added watching how Katherine eyes got widen when realization hit her.. Katherine immediately stood raising her hands in front of her to stop Stefan

"Noo.. Stefan don't even think about it" Katherine warned, but Stefan didn't back down infact he started taking steps towards her with bottle in his hand

"No Katherine, you wanted to hit Klaus but he wasn't there so you decided to hit me, now I think it's my turn" Stefan smirkle, before Katherine could stop him he spilled all the water on her clothes making her yelp in surprise and shock

"Arghhhhhhh " she hissed stamping her feet in frustration as she started moving her finger in her wet hair "I'm soo gonna kill you Stefan" she added narrowing her eyes to give him death glare.. "Rumi Nick" she called the kids, Stefan narrow his eyes at her in confusion

"What-" Stefan was about to ask but was interrupted when Nick and Rumi came running down the stairs, they stood in front of Katherine in shock as they looked at her attire, Nick started laughing loudly making Katherine look at him in anger

"Nick are you laughing at me..?" She asked keeping her hands on her hips.. Nick laughter suddenly died when he saw Katherine looking at him with serious expression.

"Sorry" He murmured holding his both ears while he said sorry. Rumi narrow her eyes at Katherine then at Stefan

"Did Aunt Katherine have bath here..?" Rumi asked pointing her finger at Katherine while looking at Stefan

"With her clothes on..?"Nick asked innocently making Stefan laugh at his innocence

"Shut up Stefan" Katherine warned, Stefan raised his hands in defense pressing his lips in a tight line. Katherine turned her attention towards kids

"Who do you guys love more..? Me or Uncle Stefan..?" Katherine ask before they could even open their mouth to answer, Katherine cut them off "I know it's me" Katherine said rolling her eyes confidently making Stefan Nick and Rumi to look at eachother "now you both are going to help me take revenge on this guy over there" Katherine said pointing her finger at Stefan who gave her a warning to shutup which only made Katherine smirkle

"Kids you are not going to hurt your uncle Stefan right..?" Stefan asked Nick and Rumi innocently

"Of course they are" Katherine stated going towards the kids to stand behind them as she kept her hands on their shoulder bending a little to whisper something in their ears. Stefan toke a step back when he saw how kids eyes got widen in excitement at whatever Katherine whispered in their ears

"Kids whatever she said don't listen to her" Stefan requested as he slowly started taking steps back not wanting to get caught in their plan.. Rumi and Nick ran towards Stefan making him turn around in fear as he ran in the living room while the kids running behind him as they giggled.. Katherine followed them too with a bottle in her hands as she was ready to take revenge. The whole Salvatore Gilbert and Forbes all in one residence house was filled with laughter of kids and screams of Stefan

Kol kept playing games in his cell phone as he tried to ignore whatever girl problem Rebekah was talking about, a part of him wanted to shut her up but he couldn't because he knew she will be angry and if she is angry she won't make a sandwich for him when he is really in need of one

"I don't understand why Matt brokeup with me" Rebekah said yet again keeping her head on the arm of the sofa and resting her legs on the table .. "Every time I tried talking to him about us I get nothing but silence from him" she added signing sadly

"I think he finally understood and realize the warning I gave him" Kol said keeping his eyes locked in his phone screen as he played

"What do you mean..? What did you said..?" Rebekah asked curiously "I mean why is the first time that I'm hearing about it.?" She added making him roll his eye

"Nothing serious Bekah, I just warn him that you might look like scarecrow at night" Kol said shrugging his shoulder "maybe he realize that I was right" Kol said, but then he suddenly grin looking at her "Or maybe he thought you look more scary then scarecrow" Kol added laughing at his own joke. Rebekah snarled as she picked the magazine from the table and started hitting him hard..Kol started laughing loudly while Rebekah kept hitting him, soon Kol yelp in pain when he realized that her hitting started hurting him

"Stop it" Kol begged "that magazine is heavy stop it Bekah" Kol yelp in pain "Bloody hell how many pages does this magazine have..?" Kol asked keeping his palm on Rebekah face to push her away with the help of the his other hand he snatch the magazine away from her while she started flapping her hands in his direction to hit him , when Rebekah realized that her hands were not able to reach towards him she started hitting him with her legs making him yell in surprise

"Arrrhhhhh why do you girls need such bloody heels" he hissed when Rebekah heels poked his stomach hardly

"what the hell are you guys doing..?" they stopped fighting when they heard Elijah harsh voice echoing in the hall.. they turned to looked at furious Elijah who was standing at the end of the staircase with his hands in his pocket and a serious hard face expression

"he started it"

"she started it" they both said in union pointing at each other, Rebekah opened her mouth in shock as she pulled Kol hair

"liar you started it" she said pulling his hairs while Kol yelled in pain, anyone could guess that the Kol yelling was not in pain but only to fake hurt in front of Elijah.

"Can you see Elijah I'm innocent, Bekah is the one who is hitting me for no reason" Kol faked hurt making Bekah pull his hair more. Elijah roll his eyes making his way towards them but only to hit them both with a pillow making both yell in shock

"What the hell" they yelled watching Elijah who brushed the pillow with his hands before keeping it back on the couch

"How many times do I have to remind you guys that you are not two years old..?" Elijah said raising his voice a little. Bekah lowered her eyes feeling guilty while Kol just kept scoffing at whatever Elijah said.. Elijah raised his eyebrow at him in questioning

"We are not two years old Elijah we don't need you scolding us at every five minutes" Kol said crossing his arms over his chest

"I'm sorry but I didn't knew that you guys are so big enough to make your decisions that as a big brother I'm not allowed to share opinion or to at least try to tell you guys what is wrong and right" Elijah said in a harsh tone

"I don't understand why you both are making it such a big issue" Rebekah stood looking at Elijah and Kol while they completely ignored her

"Sit down Rebekah" Elijah said making Kol laugh

"Yes Rebekah sit down" Kol mocked Elijah tone "and then what Elijah..? are you going to tell Rebekah to brush her teeth or yell at her to go to sleep" Kol stood placing his hands in his pockets while Rebekah just smacked her hand on her head

"Can you just stop" Rebekah begged "I mean one day you guys are like the best brothers and then the other day you guys keep on fighting" Rebekah said raising her hands in air in frustration

"It feels like I'm the only girl in this whole world who have all psychic brothers in her family" Rebekah growl making Elijah and Kol looked at her

"did you just call me psychic..?"Elijah asked raising his eyebrow at her for which she just nodded

"Yes" she crossed her arms looking at him in fearlessly

"Kol I can understand, but me? are you serious..?"Elijah asked pointing his finger slightly at Kol, Rebekah looked at Elijah for minutes before she started laughing out loud at Elijah comment because everyone knew Kol was bit psycho atleast that's what they thought he was.. Elijah started laughing too making Rebekah laugh more

"yes yes laugh at the guy who is soon to be becoming famous." Kol pouted making them laugh more

"Famooous .? and you.?" Rebekah wiped her tears as she choked in her words with laughter "Oh my god Elijah I think I'm gonna faint because kol is making me laugh so hard" Rebekah said keeping her hand on her temple acting like she was about to faint.. Elijah shake his head patting Kol shoulder

"Good luck for your famous career Kol" Elijah said trying his best to be serious but he end up laughing at the end part.. Kol brushed Elijah hand from his shoulder waving him off

"Yea yea laugh at me as much as you want but once I get famous I'll never give you guys my autograph" Kol said sitting on the couch as he rested his one hand on the back of the couch looking at Bekah and Elijah with confidence which made them laugh more

"Your so funny Kol" Rebekah said moving towards Kol to tap his head ,Kol hit her hand making her laugh "I don't understand what bonnie sees in you" Rebekah said sticking her tongue out at him which made his eye roll

"She sees what you as a sister is not allowed to see" Kol said as smirkle started forming on his lips, Rebekah looked at him in confusion but her eyes got widen when Kol slowly drifted his eyes between his legs to let her know exactly what he was talking about

"Ewwwww" Rebekah made a disgusting face

"Kol" Elijah warned for which Kol just laughed

"What..?" he asked raising his hands "Why you guys are acting as if I said something that Bekah shouldn't hear.? And it wasn't like Rebekah doesn't know what dick look like" Kol answered without any thought making Bekah eyes widen and making Elijah look at her in questioning . Kol eyes got widen when he realized what her said

"I meant-" Kol started saying but Elijah raised his hand to stop

"It's better if I don't know about it" Elijah said rubbing his temple not really interested to talk about his sister having sex with boys

"yea it's better for your innocent head not to know about Bekah losing her virginity four years ago" Kol stated bluntly making Elijah close his eyes and Rebekah smack her head

"Okay I was not suppose to say that one" Kol said giving a nervous smile to Elijah and Rebekah regretting the words that left his mouth, he turned to look at Rebekah who was giving him a death glare as if she was ready to kill him now and then

"Like I said I'm really not interest to know about my little sister sexual life" Elijah said

"So what ..? you wanna talk about your sexual life..?" Kol raised his eyebrow at Elijah , he soon regretted what he said when he saw Elijah giving him a serious death glare which made him raised his hands in defense

"I'm sorry " he said giving him a apologetic glare "but We all know that without Katherine who are becoming virgin again" Kol added ,as soon as the words left his mouth he claps his palm on his mouth in shock, Rebekah stamp her foot on Kol feet making him squeeze his eyes in pain. Kol heard Rebekah murmured 'idiot'

"Elijah I didn't-"Kol started saying but Elijah raised his voice to stop him

"It's okay Kol I know you didn't mean too" Elijah said softly "I don't mind people laughing at me because I stopped being with other girls when Katarina left me" Elijah said shaking his head as he let out a small laugh "It's really hard for me to even think about any other women in my arms who isn't katherine" Elijah said softly as he started putting his guard down. Kol and Bekah looked at eachother as they gave eachother a small smile when Elijah for the first time after his break up with Katherine started talking about it, started sharing exactly what he feels, They knew that Elijah was never the one who likes to share his emotions especially when he thinks that his emotions might disturb others.

"Why don't you talk to Katherine..?" Bekah asked making her way towards Elijah as she kept her hand on his shoulder..

"Don't you think I tried..?" he argued "After that day I used to call her each and every night while she always used to decline, I left her more than thousands messages in this past years Bekah, she never return one.." He added sadly

"you know what's the funny thing..?" he said making Bekah and Kol question him

"what..?" they asked

"I still do call her every night before I go to sleep, thinking that maybe once I might get lucky and she will answer her call and I will hear her angelic voice whispering to me again" He replied making Rebekah shock at his statement. Bekah knew that Elijah and Katherine loved each other more than anything, but hearing Elijah say it by himself made her hate the destiny that how can destiny didn't allowed them to be together. A silent tear fell down her cheeks just think about how painful it might have been to Elijah for this four years

"Why you didn't told us about it..? Why didn't decide to share with your siblings..?" Kol asked "we were here for you Elijah, we had always been" Kol said squeezing Elijah shoulder

"I couldn't" Elijah reasoned "I had responsibilities of this house" he said "responsibilities of you guys" he said keeping his hand Bekah cheek as he slowly brush away the tears that were falling down her face "I couldn't let my problems be my priorities when I had so much responsibilities on my shoulder" He said smiling sadly at his siblings

"Elijah" Bekah whispered as she cried wrapping her arms around Elijah. Kol didn't knew what to do but smiled proudly at him, Elijah for this four years kept his problem and pain hidden just because he was worried about them and was doing his responsibilities of a big brother like he always did. Bekah hold Kol arms pulling him too in their embrace.

"I don't hug" Kol said awkwardly but Rebekah smack his chest before hugging him and Elijah tightly..Kol and Elijah looked eachother awkwardly before their lips started forming a smile as they softly let their sister embrace them andlet her spoil their clothes with her tears

"Well Well Well isn't it such a heart breaking moment..?" they all broke their embrace turning their head towards the way the voice came.. they all turned towards the door watching Klaus standing near the doorframe. He was totally looking like a mess, his hairs was a mess and he had a bottle in his hand, he made his way towards them trembling a bit in between which made his sibling sure that he was way too much drunk and they all know
