Ichigo and Rukia Rescued! Decapre the Last Doll!
In a Shadaloo base in Tokyo, hidden from Yoruichi, Vega roamed the halls searching for the lab. He knew that what he was about to pull off required one specific person with the skills necessary. He couldn't believe he was doing this, but he felt like giving his newest rival a sporting chance. He found the extra weight he was carrying to be a burden to Logan. In short, Vega may be evil, but there are two things he upholds with honor: anything he finds beautiful, and his rivalry with the young Assassin. This was more than could be said for Bison.
He found the room he was looking for and went in. He looked in the glass tubes as each one was empty except for one. "Oh my beauties," he said. "I'm sorry for what has happened with Juri. If there was any way I could make it up to you, I would. Nothing bad deserves to happen to a beautiful woman, even the last of you." He approached the only one that wasn't empty and looked inside. There was a woman in a blue mask with red eyes. Her frame was similar to Cammy. She wore a blue turtleneck/pants combo with blue boots and red gauntlets as well. Her hair was a platinum blonde in the same style as Cammy's, but longer.
Vega pushed the button on the control panel and let the woman out. She stepped out of the container and saw who let her out. "I take it you enjoyed your beauty sleep?" he asked.
"What is my prime objective, Lord Vega?" she asked on one knee.
"First of all, rise up. I'm not Lord Bison. And second, I want you to go on a 'Search and Rescue' mission. Your destination is the S.I.N. base in Kyoto and your objective is to rescue these two," Vega said, showing her a couple of pictures of Ichigo and Rukia. "You are to bring them to this man here." She looked at the third picture and saw Logan. "Do you understand, my beauty?"
"Yes, Lord Vega." Afterwards, Vega watched as she left.
'I'm doing this as a favor to you and to replace one of your burdens with another you'll like, Logan. I want you to be kind to her, as she is not the most mentally stable. I bet only you could reach her heart,' Vega thought.
It didn't take the woman long to get to Kyoto or its S.I.N. base. She managed to break in through the air vent, but knew that she had to carry Ichigo and Rukia through either the front door or the window. She figured that dealing with the security guards would be an easy task. If Juri were there, though, then that meant that she'd have to fight her. That was one fight the woman was actually looking forward to.
She got to the holding cells with ease and saw one holding two figures. Since this was her stop anyways, she scanned the area with her mask for any infrared scanners. She saw that she had a grid of them below her. The woman looked around for any signs of a control panel and saw none. She decided to pull one of the old fashion tricks. She took a small mirror out of her pocket and redirected one of the lasers towards a guard. The security turrets shot and killed him and his partner. Luckily, it didn't alert the other guards. She was even luckier that the infrared grid was deactivated for 20 minutes, enough time for her to get her targets.
The woman jumped down to the floor and saw the two figures. She looked at the pictures and saw that they were indeed Ichigo and Rukia. She used one of her retractable blades and got the two Soul Reapers out while they were still out cold. It was a good thing S.I.N. kept them alive since she read about Logan's temper. She didn't want to be on the receiving end of it any time soon. As she was about to leave, Juri stepped into the area. "Well, well, one of Bison's goons must've sent you here. You do remember me, don't you, Doll?" she asked.
"Affirmative," the Doll said. "Temporary change in objective: terminate Juri Han." The women got into their fighting stances as Juri smirked.
"I take it you're doing this for that cute Assassin? Well listen, girl; you're not going to get him! He's mine!" The Tae-Kwon-Do practitioner leapt towards the Doll with a downwards kick, only for her to block it and stab at the sadist with one of her retractable blades. Juri dodged and did some spins before landing on her feet. "So you actually know how to defend yourself! I'm impressed! I bet he will be too!"
"My objective is not to gain praise from the Assassin. It is to rescue his friends and bring them to him. You will move out of the way or be terminated." That got Juri laughing, angering the masked woman further.
"Well I got to admit, you may not be as fun as the Brit, but at least you can keep up in skills and you've got a sense of humor," said the mildly psychotic of the two. Juri saw that the Doll was being serious. "Oh, so you weren't kidding. My mistake," she said, still with her cocky grin. Juri did her reverse cartwheel, only for the Doll to block it and do a hard strike on her side. She grabbed Juri by the throat and slammed her to the floor. The Doll then stomped her foot on Juri's right arm hard. Naturally, the Korean didn't like it, but since her foe had her legs and arms pinned down, she couldn't do anything about it.
The Doll saw that the Feng Shui Engine was about to kick in, so she knocked her out with her unoccupied arm. "Temporary objective complete," she said. "Now returning to prime objective." She picked up Ichigo and Rukia and headed towards a window, jumping through it and landing on the next building before running with the other two in her grasp. 'I wasn't originally going to, but Juri Han has got me thinking that I wish to meet this Assassin in person, but not necessarily test his skills,' she thought.
The train was arriving in Kyoto just as soon as the Doll pulled off her rescue mission. They had to stop at the train station in Tokyo to pick up another group of passengers, one of which was Yoruichi. They got off the train when Logan picked up a couple of faint-but-familiar Spiritual Signatures. He nodded to Yoruichi and Cammy to follow him while the others went on the ground. The three of them jumped from building to building, making Chun-Li and Guile wonder how they do that. "Let's split up!" Yoruichi suggested. "We'll cover more ground that way!" Logan and Cammy nodded at the suggestion.
Cammy went to the left while Yoruichi went to the right. Logan went straight ahead. Once he got to a certain building, he saw a woman who looked like Cammy, but in blue. Unlike the average idiot, though, he knew his beloved British girlfriend very well and this woman wasn't her. The woman saw him as well. "Prime objective complete," she said as she was being approached. Logan saw that she had Ichigo and Rukia on her. He also sensed a dark energy within this woman, so he approached her with caution. "There is no need to be defensive. I was ordered to help you."
"Who are you and what are you doing with my friends?" Logan asked, still wary of this woman.
"My name is Decapre and I was sent by Lord Vega to rescue them from S.I.N. You are the Assassin Logan Washburn, if my facts are precise." This woman surprised, and intrigued, him a little. "I shall tell you what I know about S.I.N. They are an organization as evil as Shadaloo is. Their main goal is to take over the world. The tournament you are participating in is sponsored by them. Replacement Body 15's goal is to assimilate the moves of the world's strongest fighters. He already knows the 'Shoryuken', 'Sonic Boom', 'Spinning Pile Driver', and the ability to stretch his arms, to name a few. I urge you to take caution when dealing with both of these organizations."
Logan thought about her answer and remembered one key thing. "You said Vega sent you, right? Are you Bison's last Doll that Cammy told me about?" he asked, unknowingly sparking a bit of rage in his newest acquaintance.
"You dare mention Killer Bee to me?! Where is she?!" That's when the Assassin realized that he made a grave mistake. He also noted that she was unstable, so he had to watch what he said around her. "I'll kill her for leaving me!" Decapre exclaimed.
"O-Okay, now please calm down, Decapre. There's no need for you to lose your temper. I'm sorry I mentioned her around you. Of course, if you want, you can talk to me about it, but only when you've calmed down." Decapre was still enraged, but managed to calm down a little. "N-Now take deep breaths…that's it," he said as she calmed down. All throughout this fit, Logan was holding her. "Are you okay?"
"I am fine, Logan Washburn. However, I need to rest. Being enraged and dealing with foes such as S.I.N.'s main agent Juri Han wears me down. I can guarantee that you and I will meet again," she said before disappearing in a portal made of Psycho Energy. Logan knew that she was gone, so he looked around, but found no sign of Juri. He knew that he'd have fun with her later, but now his main troubles were Ichigo and Rukia.
Before he could check on them, someone else landed on the building. "Don't touch them!" he said. Logan turned around and saw a man wearing a red ninja's outfit with kanji on it, a pair of Nike sneakers, and a black undershirt. His brown hair was almost covering his eyes. Logan recognized this man as Metro City's Bushin-ryu master Guy. "They could be infected with 'Psycho Power'. You must be careful."
"Normally, I can't sense 'Psycho Energy' because of its high levels, but Decapre's has to be on a lesser degree. There was no way she could've infected them. The name's Logan Washburn, by the way. You must be Guy."
"Indeed I am, but there's no time for formalities. We need to get them to a safe place. Do you know where we can find one?" Guy asked.
"Hold that thought." Logan got his cell phone out to call Yoruichi, Tatsuki, and the others and put it on group call. "Guys, we found Ichigo and Rukia, but Yoruichi, you're going to have to take them to the Soul Society so they can recover. They haven't…" he began before hearing a grunting noise. He looked and saw Ichigo getting up. "Okay, scratch that. Ichigo has just woken up."
"I'm on my way, Logan," said Yoruichi.
"Same here," Cammy said. They hung up while Guy silently agreed to stay there with them. Ichigo shook his head and looked around. He saw Guy, but didn't recognize him. His eyes widened when he saw his old teammate from the Cyborg situation.
"Logan? Is that really you?" the Substitute asked.
"Yeah, it's me. It's good to see you alive and well. As for Rukia, she's still passed out. By the way, I'd like you to meet Guy. He's the current master of the Bushin-ryu Ninpo," Logan said, introducing Guy. Tatsuki and Orihime were the first of the ground group to climb a ladder attached to the building. They saw their friends and rushed over to them, followed by Keigo, Mizurio, and Chizuru. Edmond, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, and Abel followed afterwards. They were joined by Yoruichi and Cammy afterwards.
"Tatsuki, Orihime, Yoruichi, Keigo, Mizurio, and Chizuru, you're all here," Ichigo said with a weak smile.
"Well it's not like we're going to forget about you. When we heard that you went missing, we got worried," Tatsuki said with tears in her eyes. She and Ichigo hugged each other, though the latter was surprised. Orihime and surprisingly Chizuru joined in as well. Keigo tried, but Tatsuki and Ichigo stiff-armed him. "You need to be on your toes from now on. I don't want to lose you, Ichigo," Tatsuki said after they broke the hug. Ichigo smiled in response. Amazingly, this made Chizuru, Karakura Town's Most Proud Lesbian, almost change her mind about men.
Meanwhile, Cammy, Chun-Li, Guile, Guy, Ryu, and Yoruichi had a private talk with Logan. "How in the Hell did you get Ichigo and Rukia out of there so quickly? We just arrived in Kyoto," Chun-Li asked.
"I'm curious about that as well. Somebody must've busted them out around the same time we got off the train," Cammy added. The girls saw the worried look on Logan's face. "Logan?"
"Cammy, I saw her. She rescued Ichigo and Rukia from S.I.N. When I had just arrived, she told me that Seth was working on assimilating the moves of the world's greatest fighters while performing the same deeds Shadaloo does in secret," he explained, summing up his newest acquaintance's explanation. Cammy was shocked, as she knew who Logan was talking about.
"What's going on? Who is 'she'?" Yoruichi asked. The two of them merely closed their eyes. "Logan, from a mentor to a student, I need to know who you and Cammy are talking about. So please answer my question. Who is 'she'?"
"They're talking about Bison's last remaining Doll Decapre," Guy answered. "I had just arrived shortly after she left, but I'd recognize a Doll when I see her. I know for a fact that Bison wouldn't have even bothered and Balrog wouldn't have had the brains to send her. My instinct tells me that it was Vega who went behind Bison's back and sent her."
"You're right, Guy; Vega did send her. Decapre isn't like the other Dolls in any way, not even Cammy except for her appearance. She was the only one who wasn't hypnotized by Bison's 'Psycho Power', but she's still a puppet. And there are three masters pulling the strings," Logan said.
"But why would Vega do something like this? It's not like Shadaloo to do something beneficial without wanting something in return," Yoruichi said. "It's just like the Templars."
"You got a good point, Yoruichi, but from what we know about Vega, he does have a heart for anything beautiful. What he wants in return must involve Decapre," said Ryu. They saw that Ichigo was slowly standing up thanks to Tatsuki. He walked over to Rukia and picked her up. Yoruichi, Logan, and Ichigo's friends saw that he was getting his Spiritual Energy back at a rapid pace. "That's incredible! He can stand on his own now?"
"Yes, Ryu, he can. Ichigo's Spirit Energy is getting back to what it's supposed to be at. Pretty soon, he'll be at tip-top shape again, but it'll be too late for him to fight any participants in the tournament. The registrations are closed," Logan said. "Besides, he needs to check in with Isane Kotetsu and Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia's brother."
"And I'll do just that, Logan," Ichigo said, having heard the conversation. "I'll also ask Kyoraku to get me up to speed on things just so I know what we're dealing with besides a tournament." The group was happy to see that Ichigo was about to his physical condition, but they felt a strong wind. So they looked and saw a helicopter with the familiar skull-and-wings emblem. "Is that that Vega person or Bison?"
"It's neither! Whoever's in that chopper, I can sense a Spiritual Signature, but it's not Vega! It must be Balrog!" Sure enough, a boxer wearing a blue shirt, a blue pair of shorts with the word 'CHAMPION' on the belt, and red gloves with Shadaloo's insignia jumped out of the chopper.
'Unfortunately, Balrog is in this tournament, meaning I can't fight him. Otherwise, Isane could just skip the physical,' Ichigo thought as Balrog looked at him. "What are you looking at? If you're trying to find ugly, all you have to do is look in a mirror!" he exclaimed to the ex-champ. "I'm afraid you won't find it here!"
Balrog snarled at this. "Who would've thought that one of the people that rat Vega sent the Doll to rescue was a smart-ass punk who don't know when to shut his damn mouth? I'll show you to talk back to the boss' prime enforcer!" the boxer yelled as he charged for the Substitute. However, Edmond stopped him by getting in the way. He pushed Balrog back with all of his might. "Oh, it's you! The Sumo wrestler from the last tournament, right?" he asked. All of a sudden, it clicked with Ichigo who he was seeing: Edmond Honda and Ryu. "Now how about you take me on, all of you!"
Logan saw that Ichigo's friends, save for Tatsuki were scared. "Ichigo, you have to take Rukia and get to Squad 4 immediately!" he ordered. Ichigo complied with a nod. Yoruichi opened the Senkaimon and sent the two to the Soul Society before closing it again. "Now all we have to decide on is who gets to fight Balrog." Guile, Abel, Tatsuki, Edmond, Ryu, and Guy gathered around Logan as he took out some straws. He used a pocketknife to cut one of them. "Okay, guys, since only one of us gets to fight Balrog, we'll draw straws. There are seven straws total. That's one for each of us. Whoever gets the shortest straw gets to have a little fun."
After drawing the straws, Ryu saw that he had the shortest. "Well, well, I guess it's my turn to rumble," he said, smirking as he tightened his gloves. "It's been a while since I last fought one of Shadaloo's agents. It's time you went down, Balrog!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know you! You're the punk who went on to beat Bison in the last tournament! Come to think of it, you're the first one to ever beat him!" Balrog shouted, shocking the others (save for Guile, Guy, Cammy, Chun-Li, and Edmond).
"No way," Yoruichi said.
"I'm afraid it's true," said Guile. "Ryu is the first to beat Bison. Of course, it wasn't too long after Bison killed Charlie Nash. Since Balrog isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, beating him would just be as easy as practicing a kata for him." The Boxer made the first move and charged after Ryu. Once the martial arts expert moved out of the way, he slammed Balrog in the torso and sent him back. Naturally, that made Balrog mad, so he charged a hook shot and aimed at Ryu.
"Shoryuken!" exclaimed Ryu. The punch hit him in the chin and sent him flying up. "Tatsumaki!" he shouted again, this time connecting the kicks with his body. Balrog recovered as Ryu hit the ground, so he tried to do a straight cross, only for the martial artist to grab his arm. Ryu did a back-roll with Balrog in his grasp and tossed him to the other side of the 'ring'. As Balrog charged for him again after getting up, Ryu punched him in the midsection and then really hard on the chin. "Metsu…Shoryuken!" he exclaimed. The punch sent him sky-high and then falling down hard. Logan, Tatsuki, and Abel were really impressed, as were the rest of Ichigo's friends.
"That…was…awesome!" Logan exclaimed after a while. Yoruichi, Chun-Li, and Cammy saw that Logan had an excited smile on his face. They were happy that he was completely over his breakup with Soifon and back to his old self, even if he did retain the cautious traits to keep from getting too cocky.
(Soul Society…)
Ichigo managed to get him and Rukia to the Soul Society in one piece, happy to still have some recuperating time. It wasn't himself that he wanted the recuperation for; it was Rukia. He made his way to Squad 4 to meet up with Isane. As it just so happens, Momo was heading to the Squad 1 Barracks to drop of Shinji's paperwork and to meet up with Soifon to check on Logan and his crew. She saw the familiar mop of orange on the man holding Rukia and running towards the med bay. The two Soul Reapers exchanged glances, Ichigo's bond with the other Soul Reapers allowing Momo to read his thoughts and send a message to Byakuya.
Ichigo entered the room where the patients were all resting and laid Rukia down on an empty bed before taking a seat. He heard the door open again and he wasn't surprised one bit at who it was. "It's been too long, Byakuya," the orange-haired 20-year-old said.
"Yes, I'm afraid you're right, Ichigo Kurosaki," Byakuya said. "I'm glad to see that you're maturing into a fine suitor for Rukia while still keeping certain parts of your personality intact. If I had to guess, Logan had some help in rescuing you two from Shadaloo."
"Then you'd have to rethink that. We were actually captured by this 'S.I.N.', not Shadaloo. In fact, this 'Vega' person sent one of their most effective lower-ranking agents to get us out. As you know, I'm no good with names, but I believe Logan called her 'Decapre' and that she was Bison's last Doll," Ichigo explained. "I know it's way past the time you wanted Rukia home last time we talked. Sorry."
"Don't be sorry, Ichigo Kurosaki. I've been merciful with you and Logan lately because he's my apprentice and because of Rukia. Now after she wakes up and you two have had your checkups, I will fill you in on the situation and get you two back into shape. It shouldn't take too long for you," said the Squad 6 Captain. "In fact, my Lieutenant will help out as well." Ichigo's face has shown little to no surprise as he nodded, his scowl in place.
CHAPTER 13 END
Alright, so Ichigo and Rukia are finally rescued, by Decapre of all people, and returned to the Soul Society as soon as Ichigo woke up. Decapre has gotten her payback against Juri Han, who was Logan's previous opponent in Karakura Town, and Ryu has gotten points for him and Ken by beating Bison's enforcer Balrog. Logan has also met the Bushin-ryu master Guy, who is the teammate of Cammy's last opponent Cody Travers, making this the second time the two teams have interacted. There will be a fight between Logan and Guy in the next chapter I promise you.
